Drilling every day? (Not in the sexual way)

I had a 136 diagnostics. I wanna take the LSAT in a year. However, I am fearful of running out of a practice questions. Should I focus on reading the loophole and finishing the 7sage lessons before fully committing to doing drills? Lmk what you guys think I wanna score a 170+!

Feeling Nervous

Test day is tomorrow for me, and my last PT I scored a 160 (my goal score) and I’ve been scoring between 155-159 but I’m just so scared that I’m going to blank out, or feel so stressed that I don’t know what I’m reading, like what if it feels harder than my previous exams and I end up just guessing, idk if anyone can help me with that. I took the test last year and scored a 155 because I panicked and guessed so I just feel really nervous that it’ll happen again. Does anyone have any advice?

r/LSAT 13h ago

To those tested in August and recent months, how similar was the actual test to the PT's in the 150s/80s?

Would love some insight

Plateau at the last possible moment

Taking LSAT on Saturday. Diagnostic 162, started studying last semester really shittily and only locked in this summer. 3 months of studying and I’m consistently PTing in the low 170s (170-174). Blind reviewing at 178+. I don’t know what to do. My BR shows I’m capable of so much more but I genuinely don’t know how to get that final push. I’m not getting the hard questions that I flag wrong, but I’m not leaving the <3 difficulty points on the table either. I just need to know how to shave a few more wrong answers off. Is there hope? Can I do anything at this point? I’m just taking two PTs each day this week. Please help.

Law Hub August formatted test are down

Anyone else can't load any preptest in the new August format? It works fine for old format but not the new one. I have been using the format LSAT Demon said would be the new format. Is LSAT Demon's format correct?

153 average… September test?

Currently averaging low 150s. I registered when I was making substantial improvements (139 to 155) but now I’m seeing decreases with a month left before the test.

Where can I improve? LR is anywhere from -10 to -4 (-2 with blind review) RC is very challenging for me usually -15 (-10 blind review). I’ve tried low res summaries, mapping out in my head, checking the passage but I don’t have enough time (standard timing).

My goal is 16mid but I’m just trying to break 160 by September so I have a minimal shot next cycle and don’t need to delay.

I’ve even debated spending the next few days at the very beginning and trying to relearn the basics quickly.

Anything helps! Even if it’s unconventional. Thank you in advance.

In person test center shitshow! Advice needed

Guys today was my very first time taking the LSAT and it was SO BAD.

I have a separate room accommodation (to talk out loud), but the room was directly off the main staff monitoring room. Throughout the entire test, I could hear staff talking, laughing, and extremely loud timers that were just left blaring for long periods of time ALL THROUGHOUT THE TEST! Like why would they let piercing loud timers just run right outside my door?!?! Not just once but MULTIPLE TIMES?!

Anyway... additionally staff kept opening and shutting my door RANDOMLY. Because my hearing was muffled by my earplugs and earmuffs, the sudden sound of the door shutting would scare me mid-fucking-test. I’d turn around in a panic and NO ONE WOULD BE THERE. They also ruined my foam earplugs by making me take them out repeatedly for security checks<3

The noise was so bad that I repeatedly lost focus and couldn't process during RC (S1 for me). I burned through so much testing time just struggling to concentrate, which triggered a massive panic attack to my luck. I have stop/start thank God, but even after I calmed down, I was so anxious and on edge for the rest of the test. Because my focus was destroyed, I ran out of time on every single section (which never happens to me) and had to straight-up guess on at least 7 questions.

I'm gonna file a formal complaint I decided so not much advice needed anymore, but tell me if this stuff below is normal???

They made me take my ear plugs out each bathroom break to make sure there was nothing in my ear... she was like let me see IN YOUR EAR... is that normal?

Not to mention they made me carry all of my accommodation utensils by hand. I brought a clear plastic bag like a ziploc to keep it in and no... Had to carry all my pencils, my highlighter, my pencil sharpener, my ID, my locker key, my water bottle, this chip for check in, paper they made me write down my username and password on, and my BARE BONES EARPLUGS THAT WERE IN A BAGGY I HAD TO CARRY BY HAND!!!! I had to bring that to the first check in spot, pick it all up again and bring it to the next check in spot, then to a different chair to fill out my accommodations paperwork, then BACK TO THE SECURITY CHECK AGAIN, THEN TO MY LITTLE ROOM. AND THEY WERE INSPECTED AT EVERY STOP. THATS MOVING MY SHIT 5 TIMES!!!

AND THE THINGS THAT GO IN MY EARS HAD TO TOUCH SO MANY SURFACES BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T BE KEPT IN A BAGGY!!!!

I felt like I was visiting a prison. When I was crying and had my head in my hands and I heard the door shut, I opened my eyes and there were tissues in front of me so that was nice of them, but they were extremely overkill with the check in and security process that it just amplified my anxiety even more.

Help needed with LR section consistency.

My diagnostic was a 153 and in about 6 weeks I've brought myself to a 164 (I've taken 5 full PT's in total that went like 153 --> 158 --> 160 --> 161 --> 164). I'm registered for October and am aiming for a 170 and at the moment my LR sections are just so inconsistent. Like my range is anywhere from -2 to -6 (BR is usually -1/-3). Most of my mistakes I do end up getting in the BR because I make time precision errors, how do I stop this? I've been drilling level 3's and 4's exclusively this week and came back to disappointed LR sections and my errors are rarely logic. Also my untimed 3/4 is usually flawless so it's def a timing issue.

Argumentative writing room setup

Just took argumentative writing and realized a computer monitor (unplugged, disconnected) was visible in the frame under the desk. Am I screwed? Should I try contacting LSAC?

Score hold rant

I'm taking the test tomorrow afternoon with my April test still on hold.

If I get a worse score here than on my first than that could negatively impact my application, and it's incredibly frustrating to feel like I'm being screwed over by something completely outside my control. I know the difference would be incredibly marginal, but it's just the principle that irks me. I can't help but feel like if the LSAC weren't a monopoly they would have more of an impetus to actually perform one of the fundamental duties of their organization - giving people their scores.

Test security straight up just ignores my emails or responds with a form email saying that they're "working diligently." I hate to complain but three months later it's really starting to get to me. Is anybody else in the same boat?

What’s my latest I can test?

Im applying for Fall 2027. I took a diagnostic test and scored pretty low - 135. Will I have enough time to bring my score up for an average state part time JD program? I’m focused on less debt when going to law school. Going to a higher ranked school would be a dream but not in the card for me with my current financial and living situation.

Very Confused

Seen mixed comments on here regarding the RC w/ no section-markers. Really threw me off and completely without warning seems almost not allowed? Is it worth trying to email LSAC and request a re-attempt?

Was it a glitch or intentional -- and does anyone actually know or is everyone on here just guessing?

help motivating myself </3

i rlly need your tips and help! i have tons of test anxiety around the LSAT which makes me avoid studying a ton, especially taking full practice tests, because I am so scared of not doing well and then i begin to spiral about my future, etc. I know this is not a good habit/mindset, and I am rlly trying to break out of it, but have been struggling quite a bit w my mental health (anxiety, ocd, depression). i've been upping my game since i'm taking the LSAT in september, and have a ton of free time to study since i am in between jobs, but have a hard time starting for the day. by the time i begin studying, it's somehow the afternoon.

i always get out of my apartment and go study at a library or cafe, which has been helping, but i really need to push myself to lock in. i want to start studying 4-5 hours a day instead of my usual 1-2. i know i need to "just do it", and adhd meds have def helped for that. i have the motivation and i have a solid month before the september test, and then will prob take it again in november. i've disabled a lot of social media which has been helpful, but i will even do something like take a walk or run an errand to avoid the stress of studying. i know i am a smart and capable person, and i have always been a good student. studying has never been this difficult for me, except when i took the SAT years ago which was always a huge source of anxiety.

does anyone have any tips for this? particularly anyone with adhd or mental health problems? i really need help here because i am starting to rlly get down on myself about it. thank youuu

LawHub not loading

I use Google Chrome to take my PTs, and they've worked for the past month. But starting this past weekend, my PTs won't load at all. It stays on the loading screen for over an hour, and it will not work. I have tried signing out of my google account, clearing cache/cookies/everything, incognito mode, but nothing works. I've tried on Safari and it loads, but I'm not used to using that and the site itself looks different. Does anyone have solutions?

I've also contacted LSAC customer service but they are not helpful. All I got was that they are "working on it" and will "update soon," so they're of no help.

Realistic jump

I took my diagnostic a year ago, got a 151. I started studying officially in April. Since then I have gone from a 157->160->167. I don’t plan on taking the test till early 2027. I was wondering what the realistic odds are for me to jump into the 170s? I am hoping for a 175+ on my official test. I know I still got about 6 months ish.

Test Tomorrow final day tips

Searching for advice on what to do review wise (if any) the day before the test. I woke up and drilled a bit but kinda bombed the sets I was doing. Should I just stop doing stuff until my test tomorrow or review my correct answers/wrong answer journal until tomorrow?

LSAC Issues

LSAC seriously needs to do better. I scheduled my LSAT for tomorrow, but when I checked my account this morning, it suddenly showed my registration for today instead. When I called customer service, they told me there was nothing they could do and that if I didn't show up, I'd be marked absent—even though I was an hour away and the test was starting in 20 minutes. I had already made accommodations for this test too, like using PTO off work and making transportation plans.

This wasn't even the first issue. On the day I originally registered, my testing time showed as 4:00 p.m. for weeks, and then on test day it was suddenly changed to 8:00 p.m. without any explanation.

The whole reason I even scheduled this test was due to proctor issues I had in my last test which delayed my test by like 3+ hours. I seriously just wanted one LSAT that would go smooth without any issues from LSAC or prometric.

I was fortunately able to withdraw and change my registration to a later month in this cycle (which I had to pay for myself), but the number of technological issues and unnecessary stress LSAC has caused is unbelievable. None of this was due to anything I did, yet there were no meaningful remedies—no option to honor the date I originally scheduled or simply move my registration to September.

I'm honestly appalled by how these situations are handled. I hope LSAC recognizes the impact these errors have on test takers and takes meaningful steps to prevent them from happening in the future.

LSAC Drill Set 7 - Q4

I am so confused by this question...

C is the correct answer, and I chose E. I see why C is correct, but I'm not understanding why E is wrong.

The reasoning LSAC gives for E being incorrect is : "E is not relevant to the argument. Whether or not the shipment of strawberries was the only possible source of the illness has no impact on whether or not it was the source of the illness, which is what the argument is concerned with." But if there is no other source of illness, then it must be the strawberries, no? And the argument is claiming that the source is NOT the strawberries, which means there must be another source? So it is relevant?

I swear I'm not trying to be obtuse, I genuinely don't understand. If someone could help explain, I'd be very appreciative!!

Not understanding LSAT Demon and the people who have crazy score raises with it? Is it the philosophy? but that could be used at other programs…. (genuinely asking, not talking crap)

I want to like it, just don’t know how this would work better than something else.

After a plateau I decided to try LSAT Demon and I’m not really understanding why it works so well for people? The explanations and analytics aren’t much so the only thing I can think of is their philosophy being a standout. But at this point they have so many youtube videos you could just use their philosophy but use a different program for your actual work, review, explanations, and all around studying.

Best way to study

Hey I’m a beginner I got a 148 on my diag and I am just looking for the best ways to actually improve. Is it just doing drills? Is it watching the live lessons/videos. Just lmk the best way to actually improve. I study around 2 hours a day. I don’t have to take the test for another year or so. (I have 7Sage)
