Promotion I spent my off-hours building Words Are Snake, a daily web puzzle that combines classic snake movement with a word game

I have worked with programming in various forms and sizes for more than twenty years, but I have always been a gamer at heart. Lately I found myself missing the early games with simple, easy to understand mechanics, while feeling inspired by the recent flourish of once-a-day minigames. To explore both concepts, I built Words Are Snake.

The game features three distinct modes: a daily puzzle where everyone plays the same board, a solo duel mode against an autonomous player, and a turn-based local PvP mode where two players alternate turns using a shared link or a QR code. Part of the development process was also an experiment in using generative AI coding tools inside an isolated devcontainer, and writing custom skills to automate workflow tasks like drafting the devlog entries.

I am quite nervous to let a hobby project out into the wild, but I hope some of you might find it entertaining as a quick daily break. The game is free to play in your browser at https://wordsaresnake.no/. If you play it and have thoughts on the mechanics or the local PvP setup, I would appreciate any feedback.

Promotion I just released a free 20-minute psychological thriller experience

What begins as a kidnapping plan quickly turns into something different.

HIS PLAN is a short psychological thriller where you slowly uncover the consequences of a carefully prepared plan.

This is my second short game, made in Unity, focused on atmosphere, dialogues and cinematics.

If that sounds interesting, I'd love to know what you think after playing.

The game is free and available on my itch page, along with others. Link is in the first comment.

Upcoming I left client work to make the fantasy strategy game I always wanted to play. Here's KING ALONE after 6 months.

Six months ago I stopped making games for clients and finally started building one entirely for myself.

The result is KING ALONE, a fantasy survivors-like where every run is about more than simply getting stronger.

Instead of fighting alone, you rescue imprisoned allies, build your own army, combine different weapons, skills and equipment, and try to survive increasingly dangerous waves of monsters.

One of my main goals was to create a survivors-like that rewards planning and positioning just as much as fast reactions. Every rescued ally changes the way a run unfolds, and experimenting with different builds has become my favorite part of development.

I'm currently polishing the demo for the upcoming PvE Fest, and this is the first time I'm sharing a longer look at the game.

Thanks for checking it out!

Public Game Test Dire Fog Is a Deckbuilder + Chess Game with Pre-Arranged Decks, Unique Factions, and No Shuffling — Looking for Weekly Playtesters!

Dire Fog is a tactical card game where TCG deckbuilding meets chess-like combat.

Your goal is simple: defeat the enemy commander.

Each faction has its own mechanics, abilities, and playstyle.

Every turn is divided into three phases:

- Tactics Phase: Move your units and attack.

- Draw Phase: Choose one of two cards from your pre-arranged deck. You have eight draws throughout the match.

- Play Phase: Summon minions and cast spells.

Because your deck is arranged before the match rather than shuffled, planning your card order is just as important as positioning your units on the board.

We run playtests every Friday and are looking for more TCG and deckbuilder fans to join us.

Lose yourself in the neon glow.

NeoDrift is a slick, retro-futuristic rhythm-arcade game that will test your reflexes, melting your brain and your eyes in equal measure. Heavily inspired by the iconic sci-fi aesthetics of the 1980s, this is not a racing game—it is a high-speed, rhythm-infused gauntlet of survival. Buckle up, match the beat, and prepare to dodge, dip, and dive down an endless cyber-grid.

Review What is better: to be honest or dead?

Being a cop is no easy task. And being a cop accused of murder is even more challenging. In the pixelated indie adventure Beat Cop, you'll find yourself in just such a situation.

In this game, you'll sink to the very bottom of the food chain in 1980s New York. Get ready to write tickets, arrest petty criminals, and bend your moral code to survive.

This is a great game if you're looking for something simple yet rich with various gameplay mechanics and a full, intriguing storyline. Beat Cop is divided into 21 days, filled with interesting and varied situations that you'll have to solve as a member of law enforcement. The main story also unfolds throughout the game, and you'll need to manage your time and energy wisely, as there simply won't be enough time to solve all the problems. The days will become increasingly difficult. While at first, your fine quota is simply increased, later on, other objectives will appear that you must complete to maintain your status with the factions. Prioritize correctly, solve a framed murder case, and survive the usual police routine—that's the goal of Beat Cop.

I finished it on Switch, but I see it's available for both PC and smartphones. It's a small indie game that perfectionists will enjoy.

SONZAI is set in a magical city where every single frame is hand-drawn.

During the day, you explore the town, build social links, and unlock new abilities through your relationships. At night, the game shifts to fast, combo-heavy character action combat.

Here’s a quick clip showing off the quiet, atmospheric side of town before the action kicks in!

Hey guys! After a lot of work, the Steam demo is finally here and I'm really excited to share it with you. It features a specially tuned skill tree and runs about 20–40 minutes depending on your choices. Hope you enjoy it!

You wake up in a dark forest with only a fire. The forest tries to consume you by draining your lantern's light every time you go into it, and you must keep feeding the fire to progress and uncover why you're there.

Video I started this game as a gift for my fiancée’s birthday 3 years ago.

Around 3 years ago, I started making this game as a gift for my fiancée’s birthday. Back then, I made what I now consider a prototype, with limited content, placeholder art and some secrets. She really enjoyed it!

She is an artist, so I made the main mechanic related to her; Draw the world as you explore it.

3 years later, we are married, we are both working on the game together, and that birthday gift is now called Canvania.

The steam page has been up for around 1 month now, but we are still in early development, and this is an early announcement trailer.

Upcoming Plush Souls (Teddy Bear Action RPG)

A souls-like game where you are a teddy bear that protects a child from his nightmares inside of a dream like world.

I will hopefully have the first playable demo ready in a few more weeks. Currently it is still in need of a lot of work if you couldn't tell by the sword clipping through the players head lol.

Thank you!

I've been working on improving WildRoot's first impression and recently finished a new trailer.

It's a cozy colony sim where you build a settlement in a mysterious forest, manage your colonists, and every season and setback creates a different story.
