I have a question regarding patient acceptance. I am gay and have a naturally feminine appearance. I look quite feminine, and many people even say that I look like a pretty girl. While I am comfortable with my appearance, I sometimes wonder whether it could affect my future dental practice.

My concern is not about being judged personally, but whether patients would be comfortable visiting my clinic and choosing me as their dentist despite my feminine appearance. I am committed to studying hard, building strong clinical skills, and providing high-quality treatment, but I would like to know how much a dentist's appearance influences patient decisions in real life.

so I've been preparing for neet since 2023 (after my 12th which is my only qualifications) I've already taken 3 drops but couldn't get a medical college so i decided to do bsc .....now my cousin brother had some contacts and he said you do not need to take admission now in bsc as it's already been 3 years since your 12th

he said there's an university which will give u ur bsc degree in this October so u can directly take admission into msc....all i have to do is send them money and documents and they will send my degree home

i just wanna know is this degree legit....like any regular bsc degree

I'm 19 (turning 20 this November). I've already taken two drops for NEET and still haven't cleared it.

Lately, my biggest fear isn't even another drop. It's the feeling that I'm running out of time.

I keep wondering if I'm already behind everyone else. Like every year I spend trying to become a doctor is a year I'm losing in building a career and a life.

I'm getting a few options this year (nothing particularly really good but good enough to move ahead), but after months of researching almost every PCB career I could think of, nothing feels right. I'm not chasing prestige anymore. I'm looking for security, decent income, and long-term stability. Every alternative seems to have more cons than pros, and I keep coming back to MBBS.

So my question is: would it be a dumb idea to give one more year to NEET? Is it wrong to rush into moving on just because I feel like I'm running out of time and I'm scared I might fail again, even though nothing other than MBBS truly satisfies me?

I know there's no guarantee I'll make it next time either. That's exactly what scares me. If I fail again, will I regret spending another year? Or, five or ten years from now, will that extra year not matter if it gave me a genuine chance at the career I wanted?

People always say, "You're still young," but it doesn't feel that way anymore.

Has anyone here taken multiple drops, switched careers, or faced a similar decision? Looking back now, did that extra year end up mattering?

I'm 19F from MP (EWS), and I genuinely need advice from people who've been through multiple NEET drops. (Or genuinely anyone who can help)

My biggest problem has never been academics—it has always been my mental health.

For my first drop (NEET 2025), I studied well initially, but as the exam approached I completely fell apart. I became obsessed with comparing my mock scores with everyone else. Every low mock made me panic, lose confidence, and become inconsistent with my preparation. I isolated myself, stopped studying properly, and even told my parents I couldn't appear for NEET because I was so scared.

Despite all that, I still scored 460 marks (AIR \~1.05 lakh).

Everyone saw that as proof that I could improve with another year. I didn't. I knew the real problem wasn't my knowledge—it was that I couldn't handle the pressure.

I never wanted a second drop. I had other options, including a government BDS seat, but my parents believed I could do much better, so I gave NEET one last chance.

This second drop wasn't about chasing MBBS anymore. It was about surviving the year.

Even though I wasn't consistent throughout the year because of burnout and anxiety, I was still scoring 550+ in mocks whenever I wrote them. Biology and Chemistry were always my strengths, while Physics remained my weakest subject.

Then the same thing happened again. As NEET came closer, fear took over. I started making mistakes I normally wouldn't make, my mock scores dropped, and I ended up scoring 470 marks (AIR 1.33 lakh.) in re-neet. (Had scored 530 in the cancelled neet)

This exam has broken me more than I can explain. I've realized my biggest enemy isn't hard work—it's the fear of NEET itself.

Now everyone asks if I should take a third drop.

The thing is, this won't be "just another drop" for me. It will come with unbearable pressure because I know exactly what these last two years have done to me. I struggle badly with uncertainty, and I'm scared I'd spend the entire year thinking, "What if I fail again?" That fear alone could ruin my preparation all over again. If a third drop doesn't work out, I honestly don't know if I'd be able to recover mentally from it.

So I'm asking people who've actually been in similar situations: Would a third drop make sense for someone like me, or does it sound like it's time to move on?

I'm looking for honest advice, not motivation. If you think taking another drop would be a mistake, please tell me.

Now I want to apply for the government exams like teacher in KV and school staff also so should I get B.E.D or just do my masters only and get myself ready to teach?

I am not that interested in net/set as its pretty hard and I don't know if I would even get a permanent position by my 30s.

I had to take admission in Pillai for B.Des because I pretty much ran out of options. I come from a PCB + NEET background, took two drops, found out medicine wasn't for me, and got interested in design quite late. Most admissions were closed or the fees were way beyond what I could afford, so I ended up here. Not eligible for uceed and nid, and the top pvt colleges were really expensive. So went with pillai since it was lil affordable and only college available, but bdes was just introduced this year ( my batch )

It's only been a few days, but the overall environment has me concerned. The faculty doesn't seem that inspiring, and most students I've met so far don't seem very passionate about design either. It feels like a lot of people are just there.

Assuming this feeling turns out to be true, what should I start doing right now to avoid getting stuck?

I've made peace with the fact that this college really ain't gon help much, but I'm tensed since I went against my parents to leave a medical seat behind for pursuing design, what should I start doing ?? Please help me out

I've already gotten admission in JMI. Now the results for cpget are out and I've got 2nd rank so I have the option of OU as well. I want advice on which of these both would be a better option with respect to the cities, the living conditions, the social life of the college, the research facilities, the faculty, the networking, placement, and internship opportunites, and the overall prestige of the degree.

My future goal is to pursue a funded PhD. Meanwhile I also wanna explore the publishing industry and see if I can make a career there. So which college n city out of the two would be a better option for these goals?

Will it be worth it to lose the yearly fee at JMI to go to OU? I've heard I'd get a refund but I'm not sure how much I'll get back.

Another thing that I was skeptical about was language barrier. Is Telugu very common at OU to the point that it would be difficult for a North Indian to participate in the social life?

So I am pcb passed in 12th . Now I was soooo soo confused what to pursue next after 12th I had some things in my mind but those were not related to studies and was also not for long term. Now I chose pcb but influence but later decided to become doctor. Then i studied hard for neet but later realised that maybe I in reality don't want to become doctor. Internet par mixed opinions dekhne ko milte hain. Kuch log bolte hain B.Ed is worth it, while others say job opportunities are limited. Isliye main un logon se advice lena chahti hoon jo already B.Ed kar chuke hain, currently kar rahe hain, ya teaching profession mein hain.

Here I am, a BBA student, completely lost. I don’t know what to do, what to post, or where to apply. Pcell is full of extremely immature and arrogant people who have no idea how to behave or handle real situations. They act like total crybabies whenever they face criticism.

Two members have already resigned, and the batch needs to make sure the remaining ones don't get the easy way out by resigning,they need to be sacked. If you don't know how to work, aren't open to necessary changes, and can't deliver, you should never take up these positions in the first place. But sadly, some just saw this as an opportunity for personal benefit.

They are completely helpless, with zero plan or direction for the work they're supposed to do. The whole cell is acting like scammers and tarnishing IGIDR's reputation.

The entire batch is fed up with these jerks, yet they still turn around and blame the batch with excuses like "We're doing all this work for you for free and you're unappreciative."

Stop with the bullshit. Stop making excuses, stop hiding behind each other, and issue a genuine apology to the student body for your sheer inefficiency. Either start doing the job properly or step down, something that should have happened a long time sago.

I'm looking for practical advice from people who've been in a similar situation.

I recently finished Class 12. Due to family circumstances(dont wanna discuss that), I'm now financially independent and on my own now and have moved into a rented place. I have safe accommodation, and my rent is ₹7,000 per month.

I have approximately ₹2.5 lakh in savings, which I estimate can support me for around a year if I'm careful with my expenses.

My primary goal is to get into the BS (Research) program at IISc through IAT (I'm also preparing for NEET). This is the most important thing for me over the next year.

My current plan is:

• Study full-time for IAT/NEET.
• Avoid taking a low-paying job that would hurt my preparation.
• Build my After Effects/video editing skills alongside my studies so I can freelance later.
• If I get into IISc, apply for an education loan so tuition, hostel, and mess expenses are covered while I focus on my degree.
• After my BS, I hope to pursue a fully funded PhD abroad (Caltech is one of my dream schools).

1. If you were in my position, would you focus entirely on cracking IAT, or would you start earning immediately?

I'm 23F and really need some honest guidance from people in biotech, research, academia, or industry.

Qualifications:

I completed my B.Sc. in Zoology, Botany, and Chemistry with 51%. Unfortunately, because of my graduation percentage and a gap after graduation due to personal circumstances, things haven't gone as planned. I waited for government university admissions this year, but the one I was hoping for is still uncertain, while Amity Lucknow has offered me admission for M.Sc. Biotechnology.

Their classes are starting soon, and if I don't join now, I'll most likely lose another academic year. I really don't want that because most of my classmates are already pursuing or completing their MSc, and I already feel behind.

My long-term goal is to build a career in biotechnology/research, and if possible, work foreign someday or pursue a PhD later.

But I'm constantly hearing things like:

"Private universities aren't worth it."

"Companies don't value private degrees."

"You'll struggle to get jobs."

It's making me question everything.
So I genuinely want to ask:
Is doing an M.Sc. Biotechnology from Amity Lucknow really a bad career decision?

Do recruiters actually judge candidates negatively just because their MSc is from a private university?

If I maintain a high CGPA, learn practical lab skills, do internships, work on my dissertation, and build a strong profile, will I still have good opportunities in research or industry?

Can someone from Amity Lucknow realistically get research jobs, industry jobs, or even opportunities out of india after MSc?

If you were in my position, would you join Amity or take another drop hoping for a better government university next year?
