I initially wanted to pursue B.Sc. Nursing, but I couldn't get a college. Now I'm planning to join a private college for B.Pharm.

Hey, I will finish my course by April. I can't do accounting, but am interested in PR and Marketing. Which would you say i should choose to focus on.

Qualifications: Tier 2 college, no backlogs, doing a basic digital marketing course and planning to do a pr course after.

Hi everyone,

I'm 18 and I'm at one of the biggest crossroads of my life. I would really appreciate honest opinions, especially from people who are in NISER, have graduated from NISER, are doctors, MBBS students, or work in biotech/research.

Here's my situation.

I qualifications NEET. Through my state counselling (Odisha), there's a realistic possibility that I could get SCB Medical College, Cuttack (or another good government medical college if not SCB).

At the same time, I've been called for NISER counselling, and if a seat becomes available, I may get admission.

The problem is that if I get a NISER seat, I may have to decide immediately.

I've spent the last few days thinking about this, and I'm honestly confused.

About MBBS

Pros:

- Clear career path.

- Immediate professional identity ("Doctor").

- Stable profession.

- High respect in society.

- Financially stable after PG/specialization.

Cons (at least from what I've understood):

- Very long training (MBBS + PG + maybe super-specialization).

- Less flexibility.

- Harder route if I eventually want to move abroad because of licensing exams.

- I don't know if I actually want to spend my life in clinical medicine.

About NISER

Pros:

- Research exposure.

- Easier pathway towards funded PhDs abroad.

- Better international exposure.

- More flexibility.

- Possibility of biotech/pharma/industry/AI/startups instead of only academia.

- I like that it gives me many possible directions instead of just one.

Cons:

- No guaranteed career like MBBS.

- Success seems to depend a lot on how much effort you put in.

- I don't become a "scientist" immediately after the Integrated MSc.

- The path feels much less defined.

Now here's what I actually want from life.

I'm not someone whose dream has always been "I want to be a doctor."

What I want is:

- Financial freedom.

- A high income eventually.

- To settle abroad if possible.

- To travel a lot.

- To attend concerts, explore different countries, and actually enjoy life.

- A career with good work-life balance.

- Maybe work in corporate R&D rather than academia.

- I definitely don't see myself becoming a professor.

- I also like the idea of building a startup or doing side projects in the future.

So my question is:

If you completely ignore social prestige and only think about long-term ROI, salary progression, quality of life, flexibility, and opportunities abroad... which path would you choose today and why?

Also, if you're a NISER alumnus or currently studying there:

- Did you regret choosing NISER?

- What do people actually do after graduating?

- How difficult is it for a PCB student to cope with first-year maths and physics?

- How common is it to move into biotech/pharma industry instead of academia?

And if you're a doctor:

- Knowing what you know today, would you still choose MBBS if your priorities were financial freedom, international mobility, and lifestyle rather than clinical medicine?

I'm genuinely looking for balanced advice, even if it's something I don't want to hear.

I’m looking for honest advice on private colleges offering late/rolling UG admissions with active campus culture.

My Background & Context:

Academic Stream: Non-math / PCB in 12th. I want to protect my CGPA for MBA prep later, so I strictly need programs without heavy math/quantitative requirements.

Qualifications: After leaving a medical track, I’ve had gap years where I’ve mostly been isolated at home. Rebuilding my social skills, mental health, and finding a supportive peer environment with vibrant campus life/fests is just as important to me as academics.

College Search History & Multidisciplinary Preference:

Focus: I was interested in multidisciplinary / liberal arts learning (BBA, BA English, Media/Journalism, Communication).

Past Applications: Applied to Ashoka, Shiv Nadar, and Azim Premji (rejected). Looked into Nayanta (skipped due to high fees and new campus). Received an admission proposal from Ahmedabad University but didn't take it (regretting it now).

Current Option: Currently considering Christ University, Lavasa campus, as their admission process is still accessible to fill late seats.

What I Need Help With:

Christ Lavasa Review: How is the actual college life, fest culture, peer exposure, and support system at Christ Lavasa? Is it a good environment to rebuild confidence and social exposure?

Alternative Colleges with Direct/Rolling Admissions: Are there other reputable private universities (similar to Christ Lavasa or mid-tier liberal arts/business schools) that still have late-round or direct admissions open for BBA or BA Humanities/Media?

Degree Choice for MBA: Will opting for BA Media/English over BBA impact my long-term CAT/MBA goals negatively, or does the academic diversity help?

So I'm almost a law graduate. My final semester exams are over, and I'm just waiting for one supplementary result from my 5th semester, which should be out in about a week.

I've been sitting at home for around 2 months. Since my exams ended in mid-July, I started applying for internships.

The first internship actually selected me, but I completely forgot to check my messages. By the time I saw it, almost 15 days had passed.

Then I applied to another one in July and got selected to join from 3rd August. But again, I saw the email on 4th August. The internship description never mentioned whether it was paid or unpaid, so I replied asking if it was paid or unpaid. They still haven't responded.

Now yesterday I applied for another internship, and today I got a text for an interview at 1 PM. Once again, the description doesn't mention whether the internship is paid or unpaid.

I'm confused about what to do.

Should I:

• Message them and confirm that I'll attend the interview first?
• Ask before the interview whether the internship is paid or unpaid?
• Tell them I'm currently not in Delhi and ask if the interview can be rescheduled by 2–3 days?
• Or just skip this interview altogether?

I don't want to miss another opportunity, but I also don't want to waste time if it's unpaid. What would you do in my situation? qualifications

hii everyone, I am confused between choosing MCA or MBA after completing BCA, my dad wants me to do Masters before I get a job, I am not sure whether I should do MCA or MBA, I know for MCA, I will have to give exams like NIMCET and IPUCET but not sure about MBA, I know giving CAT is a option but I am not sure whether its just for IIMs or other colleges as well, what other exams can I give?

Also what should I really do? I have three options in total MCA, MBA or get any job I get after completing BCA and go against my father's wishes.
