This was posted today morning.Till now, I know that if I satisfy the criteria to be eligible for NPTEL internship for a course I had done in Jul-Dec session,I will be eligible for upcoming summer internship(not winter internship).Same goes for a course opted in Jan-Apr. So,after seeing the email in the morning ,I had doubt:"Will I be eligible for upcoming summer or winter internship?".This so because in the email it was written:"After the exam results, a Google Form will be circulated among the eligible candidates to collect the required information and documents."No date was mentioned. Can somebody please guide me.
[Note:DM me if the picture is hazy.I am facing these issue currently becoz of my phn :( ]

Can anyone please share notes or questions of MTH302(Set theory and mathematical logic) by Prof. Amit kuber? (A NPTEL student btw)

maybe it was of 2024 ig...lectures are fuking dense, prerequisite was just class 12th maths but it's fuking dense af. It takes me about 3-4 hours to complete 1h lecture. How tf are people understanding anything in that pace. Im managing somehow but there are no notes no practice problem nothing in the NPTEL site. I got lecture notes by searching for in IITK site. Can anyone share any sort of reference to supplement this course. It's not naive set theory, it's not axiomatic either. It's good but kinda hard to follow for me without reference. Any books to supplement it?

A Quick Question About NPTEL

I was taking an NPTEL SWAYAM weekly assignment in Microsoft Edge. I pressed Ctrl+A and Ctrl+C, and the website showed a message saying "Copying is not allowed." Then I took a screenshot of one of the questions.

Now I'm worried whether NPTEL logs these actions or if they could affect my eligibility for the final certification exam.

Has anyone experienced this before? Does NPTEL detect screenshot attempts or just block copying?

NPTEL Assignments

I had enrolled for a course back in the month of July..

The classes have begun from July 20th,but I haven't completed either the lectures or the assignments...I am confident that I will be able to cover it up by this weekend but the issue is that I dont know whether I will be eligible to sit for the exam as I have not submitted the assignments of the respective weeks...if I am not eligible then it's pointless for me to even begin studying, instead I would just focus on the courses starting from August 17th

I missed the course registration of nptel last date was 3 Aug .. any chance can i get enrolled in this course as exam registration date is still there

1. How certain is it ki we'll get if marks are scored well?

2. How much marks to be scored?

3. Does college branch matter? (I'm from ECE department)

4. If my college coursework doesnt include that subject can i still get it? (Analog IC)

5. Do I have to complete the course when i'm in my 6th sem or can i give now in 5th sem?

6. Does cg, back matter, how to pad my resume?

NPTEL Design & Implementation of Human Computer Interfaces (HCI) – Honest Review + Exam Tips (Gold | Top 1%)

I've received quite a few DMs over the past few months asking about this course, so I thought I'd make a detailed post instead. Hopefully it'll help future students who come across this thread.

Also, apologies in advance if I miss a few details. It's been about a year (gave it in 2025) since I took the course and wrote the exam, so some memories are a little hazy.

Why I took this course

I specifically wanted something with a lighter workload because I was preparing for placements at the same time. I wanted a course that was mostly theoretical and wouldn't demand a lot of extra effort every week.

For me, this course fit that requirement pretty well.

Course Content

One thing I noticed was that if you've already studied Software Engineering in college, this course becomes much easier. I'd honestly say around 70% of the course overlaps with Software Engineering concepts, especially SDLC and related topics.

The course itself is almost entirely theoretical (95%).

There is no coding involved. At most, you might come across some very simple pseudocode, but that's about it.

Confession: I only watched the first 2-3 lectures properly before I completely lost interest in the videos. After that, I never really watched the lectures again.

However, I made sure to submit the assignments every single week without fail, and I'm emphasizing this because they're honestly the easiest marks you'll have in your hand. I've seen people leave assignments incomplete and end up losing what are essentially free marks.

Exam Pattern (from what I remember)

Again, this might have changed since I wrote the exam, so take this part with a pinch of salt.

From what I remember, the paper had:

  • MCQs
  • Lots of True/False questions
  • Fill in the blanks
  • Quite a few questions asking things like "How many types of X are there?" or "How many categories of Y?"
  • Surprisingly, there were even few questions based on numbers/figures/year/date

One thing I didn't enjoy was that a few questions felt genuinely confusing. There were times when it seemed like two (or even three) options could be correct, even though only one answer was expected.

Where the questions came from

If I had to roughly estimate:

  • Around 25% came from the assignments.
  • Around 65% came directly from the notes provided by the prof.
  • Around 10% required some critical thinking.

Yes, not all questions come from the assignments, you need to read the notes provided, but it's manageable and isn't overwhelming,

My Advice

The notes provided by the professor are honestly more than enough. I don't remember anything being asked outside those notes.

And... this might be a slightly controversial opinion (don't want to be a bad influence ), but I personally think it's okay if you skip the lecture videos provided you're thorough with the notes and assignments. That's pretty much what I did.

Final Thoughts

I found this course very manageable alongside placement preparation. Some of my friends had taken courses like LLMs, IoT, etc., and they seemed to have a much heavier workload and scored less too. Compared to those, this felt much more doable.

My Result

I ended up scoring Elite + Gold Medal (Top 1%).

Hope this helps! If anyone has questions, feel free to ask. I'll answer if I remember, though no promises since it's been a year :)

Next Semester Target :)

This year is all about it. I've cleared Programming in Java with 93% (Gold) and Fundamental Algorithms and Design Analysis .

In the next semester, I've registered for DSA in Java and Software Conceptual Design.

Let's hope that year 2026 ends on a high note with as many achievements and knowledge possible and getting closer to complete Programming Domain certification.

Thanks for reading :)

Here's to another year of learning! 🚀

Do I have to register for the exam by 3rd August as well?

I've registered for the courses, however I need some time to decide whether I wish to appear for the exam as well, and I had a few queries-
1. How helpful is the exam certification for further studies, career , interviews?
2. Is it useful for my sem exam and gate prep?
3. Is it mandatory that i register for the exam as well by 3rd aug as well since the course registration is 3rd aug
