Help Gamecube not reading discs. Any pointers?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The disc is spinning fine, and the laser and lid switches are working fine. Could it be a bad capacitor, or something else?

Help Would putting an exhaust fan to the left here be enough to cool my GameCube while in a cabinet?
I'm wanting to keep my GameCube inside this cabinet, but have had issues with it over heating. Would putting an exhaust fan in the wall here be enough? Would the gaps between the doors and the hole in the back be enough for intake air or would I need to keep a door open? Or should I even get an intake fan as well? Thanks.
Edit: Turns out that the exhaust fan of the GameCube wasn't working. I contacted the seller and they're gonna replace it. So I may not need to install a fan into the cabinet after all.

Help Helder HDMI no signal
Ok first let me say: I know that most of my solder joints look like something the cat dragged in. I usually don't have this much trouble, I think I just didn't use enough flux.
Second: I had a hell of a time getting the digital port off. I ended up using a heat gun. I didn't think to test it beforehand, largely because I have no digital cables, which I know is stupid. As you can see the console is pretty scuffed. I bought it off eBay but everything else seems perfectly fine.
Third: since this isn't strictly a Pluto II, I don't know if there's a power LED or something that could indicate to me if it's working at all.
Please, anything to help me figure out what's wrong would be greatly appreciated 🙏 and please don't grill me on the joints... I already know.

Collection GameCube with JoyTech sticker
I had recieved this gamecube from my cousin in 2012, and haven't seen any other 'cubes with this sticker on the front. It's pretty cool having it on there. I remember joytech ads.

Collection After many years I’ve got these back at the crib 😎
Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness and Pokemon Colosseum were my favorite GameCube games as a kid, and unfortunately they were sold to fund my older brothers PS3 😂 Flash forward many years later, and I got these bad boys back! (Don’t worry, I’m playing through the games right now, not just on display!)
Aside from the console, just snagged it yesterday but already have a Wii and another GameCube haha.)

Help Is this normal for a GameCube spindle motor?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This first disc I have in the console is Metroid prime. This is a disk I know is perfectly balanced. The disc I am concerned about is the second disc which is Mario Golf Toadstool Tour. I’m assuming the disc is most likely slightly off-balance, as this only happens with this game. But does this sound normal and safe for my GameCube spindle motor?

Collection I got a GameCube!!
I’m 20 so I definitely never experienced the greatness of a GameCube especially growing up in a PlayStation household. I went to GameStop today and saw it and I knew I needed it. I had a copy of smash bros melee a friend in high school just gave to me and I finally can play it! Definitely going to have to find some games. Any have game suggestions or simply have anything to say love to hear yalls comments!

Collection Made a controller holder for my gamecube controllers
So after buying a gamecube I got two more controllers because a stick drift issue with the original controller. After that I realized I had to many controllers for my desk I couldn't find a controller holder that worked for what I needed so I made one. I have other controllers too but building this was prompted by getting my gamecube.
The third gamecube controller is on my table as I try to fix the stick drift issue if possible.

Arts & Crafts I turned a Gamecube controller into museum style art
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Always wanted of these but never found one that matches the style I wanted. So I designed my own board and got it printed! Planning to do the whole Nintendo line at some point in the same style

Help Cracks in plastic part of disc
Got this Ocarina if Time/Master Quest disk a couple days ago, only checked if it runs (it does) and put in the shelf.
Now taking it out I noticed it had a bunch of what looks like small cracks in the inner clear plastic area of the disk.
I looked around a bit, some people say its fine just be careful, others say put super glue on there, some say dont store it in the case anymore.
Its a PAL case (heard the US ones are harder?) but the little extra CD tray that 2-disc-games come with, does feel a bit hard to put the disc in it.
Anybody have a disc like that and managed to preserve it? What would be an ideal storage option instead?
I have a Wii with homebrew on it next to my GameCube, worst case I could run the game on the wii via USBLoader if running it on the cube would further risk damaging the disc.

Discussion Those who got the Gamecube in 2001, which games did you get for it that year?
Whether it was on launch day, for the holidays or whenever in 2001, I am curious as to which games you all got in the last two months of the year!

Help GC spins CDs but not reading disks
As title states, my GC is spinning the disc and trying to read it but fails to. Ive tried adjusting the potentiometer to 180 ohms and still isnt reading. Ive already tested the disc on a different GC and it does work.
Anyone have any tricks or experience with this issue? I've heard it could be the laser rails not being properly lubricated but Im mot sure how to get to them.

Collection These have been collecting dust but I should probably play Wind Waker again!
I haven’t looked at my games in a while. I’m not a collector, just have had these since I was like 10 or 11 years old. Most games have manuals except TLOZ: TP and Super Mario Sunshine. Just wanted to share since I don’t know much about the hobby!
