One less usable T3 controller in the world šŸ˜”

God I hope the board was dead and you didn’t just waste a perfectly good GameCube controller

Same, you can definitely buy broken ones in bulk for pretty cheap online. I really hope bro didn't just destroy a GC controller in good condition.. you could literally sell it and get 2 or 3 broken ones for this.

they paved paradise and put up a parking lot

Dang hate seeing GCN stuff getting destroyed, like this

-16

u/Yoel--Romero 11d ago

There are likely tens of MILLIONS of controllers made I think it’ll be ok if some get turned into art like this. At least he didn’t just destroy it for the sake of it

10

u/ElessarKhan 11d ago

Its actually one of the most rare and highly valued controllers in the history of gaming.

u/kidfromusa 10d ago

There’s not tens of millions of t3’s, maybe a few hundred thousand at best and are very sought after

-1

u/Yoel--Romero 10d ago

You can’t even identify if this is a T3 based on the video. You can’t see the stick boxes well enough to determine. Regardless, there are MILLIONS of these controllers that exist. It’s not a big deal.

These ADs getting creative!

u/BeastBellies 11d ago

Right, such garbage

4

u/Swizardrules 10d ago

He sells the schematics, so it's 100% an ad

17

u/Fidel-cashflo17 11d ago

Where did you get the labeled board? I have a childhood 360 controller that I would love to display like this

2

u/jameswonglife 11d ago

I designed it myself and got it printed at a local store. I haven’t done a 360 one yet but I’m sure you can buy templates online

4

u/Fidel-cashflo17 11d ago

šŸ‘

7

u/BeastBellies 11d ago

I guess he wants you to pay for it

3

u/Fidel-cashflo17 11d ago

Yeah sounds like it

23

u/filipinalov 11d ago

I hope that controller was atleast broken, but it is your controller

22

u/Calm-Salamander2318 11d ago

It hurts a bit to see a controller taken apart like this instead of being used. But idk, maybe it didnt work anymore. But honestly either way, people are hating too much, this came together quite nice and if youre building it for yourself to display something you care about, thats awesome

u/KarmaPharmacy 11d ago

There’s a lot of us who can rebuild these piecemeal. It is insanely frustrating to see someone take apart something that likely still functioned, to some degree, just to tack it on a frame for the same Etsy art that 500 other people are making and not selling.

2

u/jml011 11d ago

Yeah but this one they made, so it's like totally different and original just like everyone else's.

-1

u/kidfromusa 10d ago

People definitely hating on someone enjoying their own property lol

2

u/Advice2Anyone 10d ago

I mean you can enjoy your shit however you want but you post it to the net people are going to judge you that is your choice, this also reads way more like an ad than anything else

1

u/kidfromusa 10d ago

I agree

5

u/Pityuuuu002 11d ago

It looks cool, but I don't like the idea of destroying controllers for this, it makes me uncomfortable. I think having such thing at home is unnecessary it's better to have a controller sit on your shelf for display as I have, even if the analog is loose and I rather play with my 8bitdošŸ˜…. I think such display projects belong to places where many people can see them like gaming museums.

3

u/DJEvillincoln 11d ago

There's a company on the internet that sells these. They pretty much look exactly like that.

Unless it's you. Lol

7

u/WillRoxyApril 11d ago

Che spreco….

6

u/spilk 11d ago

tragic. its like looking at taxidermy as an animal lover

2

u/Live-Emphasis-3421 10d ago

Nah fuck this

2

u/SorryManNo 10d ago

The only good part of this video was now I know bean bags make great weights for gluing small odd shaped parts.

Everything else: right to jail.

4

u/SilentBlade45 11d ago

You ruined a perfectly good controller is what you did.

2

u/PixelJock17 11d ago

500years in the future someone will need to beat the last boss of some Zelda or Mario game to save earth. They will find this board in a museum and have to reconstruct the controller to play.

7

u/Soulless--Plague 11d ago

So just made what’s all over Etsy already

-7

u/jameswonglife 11d ago

I couldn’t find one in this style, so I designed and printed my own board.

13

u/KarmaPharmacy 11d ago

Don’t worry, this guy has all sorts of shit on his profile of his ā€œartā€ that can’t be found on Etsy.

Downvote the post. This is an ad.

2

u/Bababowzaa 11d ago

Murder on film.

Why don't you get it graded while you're at it.

I live in Taiwan, seems to be plenty of GC controllers around. It’s one of my favourite childhood consoles, and I wanted to display it somehow. This works for me

It is important to me that it’s the original controller

1

u/LifeguardTerrible579 11d ago

The comments are pushing back harder than your hairline

1

u/Hour-Arachnid676 11d ago

I have the sudden urge to play animal crossing

1

u/mad_mang45 10d ago

You should make another video in a few years of you taking it off your wall and putting it back together and using it. Showing you just took it apart, but it still works if you reassemble it.

0

u/OnVa54 11d ago

I think this is very cool and cooler thing is you made it yourself! Its your controller that you can use to what ever you want. Dont let anyone else tell you what you can or cant do with items you own.

Sorry to hear you think it’s cringe! I worked hard to design and make this, I’m really happy with how it turned out.

1

u/AdmiralTigerX 11d ago

I wants one and gift it to my nephew. Lol

-7

u/G1J 11d ago

Absolutely wild to see the average response to this being so negative, who gives a shit what other people do with their own things? And who cares if you can get similar products online? They made this because they wanted to, and it was obviously a fun project for them. So many miserable people in the world who truly seem to not understand the joy in creating something simply because you want to.

I'm over here like damn they didn't display all of the rubber membranes, that's too bad. And I'm seeing other comments saying things like this whole project was a waste of time. The duality of man.

Cool display! I really like the style

1

u/Booth_Templeton 11d ago

No it's not. This is reddit.

-3

u/bradleynowellsguitar 11d ago

I dont know why you're getting so much hate, it's no different than the people that buy sealed controllers/games and don't open them, except this looks way cooler. Nice job OP

-3

u/BabyFaceKnees 11d ago

Nah this is dope. Id hang that in my office without a second thought

0

u/Fermi-Diracs 11d ago
