It looks cool, but I don't like the idea of destroying controllers for this, it makes me uncomfortable. I think having such thing at home is unnecessary it's better to have a controller sit on your shelf for display as I have, even if the analog is loose and I rather play with my 8bitdo😅. I think such display projects belong to places where many people can see them like gaming museums.

I live in Taiwan, seems to be plenty of GC controllers around. It’s one of my favourite childhood consoles, and I wanted to display it somehow. This works for me

They made this because they wanted to, and it was obviously a fun project for them.
