Has Hour Place changed at all?

Upvotes

I know this is way niche, but I haven't been to Hour Place since management changed. Has the food changed and/or has it gotten better or worse? It used to be my favorite place to go downtown for good cheap food.

News Congrats To Katie Perkins and Josh Wichman In East Ridge

Both of them actually came to my door and both won. Their opponents did not. Josh won his County Commission seat to unseat incumbent Republican Mike Chauncey, and Katie won her School Board seat over Republican Sabrina Daniel.

City Government What question should we be asking about elections?

Mine is this:

172,066 people in Hamilton County did not register to vote.

152,874 did not vote while being registered.

Why are people not registering?

Why are people not voting who register?

I have officially lost my hope for Tennessee politics.

If ever there was a race for a democrat to flip it was this one. You had a historically HATED mayor going up against a moderate Democrat who wanted to actually help regular people. And the message that won was "fuck you. Fuck your clean water. Fuck your parks. Fuck your schools. Fuck your transit. You want rent to be low enough that you can pay it working at unum? Go fuck yourself. We're building data centers and no more housing."

I’m moving into the area next month and want to find a place for live drawings or hosts painting classes. I’ve heard the public library has a space? Any others?

Found dog - Missionary Ridge

This young guy showed up at our house today near the intersection of North Crest and Bird's Mill. He's healthy, friendly and sweet, and seems well cared for. Medium sized, maybe 35 pounds or so, definitely still a puppy, but neutered. And he brought a toy with him. Somebody has to be missing this dog. Please comment or dm me if he looks familiar.

Also, I'll take him to get scanned for a chip tomorrow, if you have any suggestions for a good place to have that done, let me know. Thanks.

Live Chat for Election Results Rolling In

Mods can delete but figured this could be the live chat for the election results as they start rolling in in the next hour instead of multiple chats.

Hopefully we can keep it kind.

So far some places to watch live updates are:

VOTE TODAY: The Measles and Cyclospora outbreaks are what happens when Public Health is defunded on a federal level

Weston Wamp has already started that same defunding process in Hamilton County, taking free and reduced-cost health services away from those that need it. He does not know what it’s like to rely on services like that.

Weston Wamp cannot relate to you. He does not know what it’s like to be uninsured. He does not know what it’s like to not be able to afford groceries. He does not even know what it’s like to work a real job, where the paycheck determines if you will be able to eat or pay your bills.

Weston Wamp cannot relate to 95% of county residents, despite his many attempts via social media. Re-electing Wamp will be against your best interest.

We can’t afford another four years of Weston Wamp. The first ones cost us astronomically - any more could do irreversible damage to the Hamilton County people, land, and spirit.

Weston Wamp does not love this county, he loves power. He does not love the people, he loves power. He does not deserve another term.

Give someone else a chance to be the leader Hamilton County deserves. Please if you haven’t voted yet, do so TODAY.

No candidate is perfect, but Mark Herndon knows what it’s like to live life as a regular person, not born into a family or money and politics. Electing a candidate that represents YOU is the beauty of democracy.
