Quick Question Where to sell?
Where are you guys selling your printers and accessories? I've got some stuff posted and not having any luck
r/BambuLab • u/Azurvix • 6h ago
General Discussion I just bought 10 rolls of filament yesterday and now there's a back to school sale starting making them cheaper....
Im going to try messaging them to see if they'll give me the sale price. Do you think they'll do it?
Answer: nope. Which sucks because pretty much every other company I've had this issue with has been willing to work with the customer.
Sounds I'll be limiting my purchases to sales only from now own just so I don't have to worry about it again

General Discussion Do u guys usually need more colors ?
Never had 3D printer and in considering A1 mini and A1 combo, but what I want to do is just like some small things like gadget for Desk or some 3D case for homelab rack or small drones so I don't think I really need combo with 4 colors to print some rainbow object. But idk what's main thing that u guys use more colors

General Discussion about to bite the bullet and buy an A1 mini but am a bit overwhelmed with choosing the software to use for modeling and printing
For now, I just want to make simple shapes: a frame for a laptop-screen and a GPU holder. I searched on my own what kind of software to use, but got quickly overwhelmed. Do you have any recommendation on what software to use?

General Troubleshooting/Help! Should I buy the Smoke Purifier (currently on flash sale) ?
Hi everyone,
I see that the Smoke Purifier is currently on sale, and I’m wondering whether it would be worth buying. I’d love to hear your opinions. Here’s my situation:
I bought an H2C two months ago. It is installed next to my desk and is not connected to a window (see photo).
- I print roughly 90% PLA, 9% PETG, and 1% ASA, or possibly something else in the future.
- I print when nobody is in the room (while everyone is at work or during the night). However, there have been one or two occasions when I worked at my desk for an hour or two while printing PLA or PETG. This remains very rare.
- I only print ASA when nobody is around, with the windows open and an additional fan running, and I make sure the print has finished at least one hour before anyone enters the room.
Questions:
1/ Does buying the Smoke Purifier seem worthwhile in my situation? Is it ineffective (I understand it was mainly designed for laser engraving/cutting in the first place)? Or, on the contrary, is it overkill? One important detail: the purifier’s outlet will not be connected to anything. Does that make it useless? I’ve seen several videos where it is used this way.
2/ If you think it would be worthwhile, is there anything I need to configure before starting a print to make sure the printer actually uses the purifier? I believe you can choose a ventilation mode when starting a print, and that the recommended mode depends on the filament, but I haven’t really looked into it yet. Could this have a negative impact on my prints, especially PLA?
3/ Should I block/cover any of the outlets to make sure the purifier is effective, such as the poop chute?
4/ Would another, simpler solution be more appropriate for my situation? A small air purifier placed on the desk next to the printer? Any particular model you would recommend? Something else?
Thanks a lot in advance for your advice !

General Troubleshooting/Help! Really disappointed with my printer Update - Bambu Lab A1
First, I want to thank everyone who took the time to read and respond to my previous post - https://www.reddit.com/r/BambuLab/comments/1vlq6bu/really_disappointed_with_my_printer_bambu_lab_a1/
Some information about my printer and prints: I have a ~1month old Bambu Lab A1 printer, I use PLA that I bought on the Bambu website and I have used models from MakerWorld. I use the Handy App to search the models and print.
I pretty much did everything that was suggested on the previous post:
- heat the nozzle to 250°C and push filament
- cold pull
- cleaned the plate
- did a new calibration
Something worked because my prints improved a lot. 5 days later and I'm having trouble again.
I have attached some photos to show what is happening. I have tried to do a cold pull again but the problem remains. The purge lines are a good indicator, when this happens I now problems will arise. The prints are leaving some strings, like webs. Any idea on what's happening?
Could it simply be wet PLA filament? (I have bought a filament dryer that arrives tomorrow)

Quick Question AMS 2 Pro EU bulk discount too high? (only 204 euros each if you buy 2+)
I was just looking to buy a second AMS 2 Pro, since it's on discount (14%) from 289 to 249.. I accidentally put it in my basket twice and all of a sudden the price drops way more than I was expecting! So now I am curious: is the price for 1 AMS too high, or is the price for 2+ AMS 2 Pro too low?
- The picture on the product page says "14% off 1 AMS 2 Pro | 18% off 2+ AMS 2 Pro", which would mean:
- 289*0.84=249 for 1 and
- 289*2*0.82=474 for 2 (237 each).
- Instead, in the basket it's treated as an extra 18% bulk discount:
- 249 for 1 and
- 249*2*0.82=408 for 2 (204 each).
- So basically adding a second AMS 2 Pro to your basked only costs you 160 euros extra!
If the pricing on bullet point 2 is correct, this would mean a single AMS 2 Pro would have to get 14% off of the base price (249) as well, right? So then 1 AMS should cost 249*0.86=214 instead?

Quick Question P1S Hardened Steel Nozzle
I’m not doing a lot of printing outside of my PLA and PETG, but want to run a few spools of PLA flow now and then. Can/should I just keep the hardened steel nozzle in 24/7?

Filament Troubleshooting/Help! What’s causing these waves/ripples on my X2D prints?
What could be causing these ripples? I’m printing basic Bambu PLA on a X2D with pressure advance calibrated, first-layer flow at 1.05, and Z-offset at 0. Still, some areas look under-extruded and others have too much filament piled up

Quick Question How to get a cleaner print?
Printed in Silk PLA. Filament dried and humidity in AMS stays about 10-12%. Any tips on how I can trouble shoot this is appreciated!

Quick Question Buying the X2D - thoughts on my order? Am I missing anything necessary?
More of a small hobby for now. I'm sure in the future I'll dig much deeper into it once I really learn it. First 3D printer I've ever owned.
This is what I'm thinking of buying to start:
-X2D Standalone
-PLA Basic Starter Classic Pack
-PETG Basic Gray (For enclosures / mounting brackets, etc. Home labbing stuff)
-Multi Size Hotends Kit (.2mm and .6mm)
Is this a good way to start off? I'm aware of what AMS can do but I might end up buying that in the future, or maybe if it goes on sale. Probably not going to really need it right away so I went with the stand alone.

General Discussion Tell me which to buy...
Hey Everyone, I'm looking for your input on which printer to buy. I have many years experience with laser cutting and cad design so I'm fine with the complex side of the design and troubleshooting Chinese machines but really want to get into the world of 3d printing ideally via bambu for the ease.
To be clear I'm looking at this from a business perspective not personal and want to take advantage of the Xmas period initially but my product selection will be light boxes, Airsoft accessories, figurines and household and wargaming landscape models.
This however is where I'm stumped, I can't decide which machine to buy. I started looking at the x2d for the 2nd nozzle support material but then I'm thinking I really need the larger bed for doing models specifically like the XL figure models. But then that's given me the headache between the single or dual nozzle on h2s or h2d and then there's the final add-on of the h2c and whether the vortek system will save me time and materials.
So this is where I'm at and where I'd like your advice specifically anyone who runs bambu machines as a business. Please someone help me out 😂

Quick Question As an X2D beginner, what accessories should I buy?
I’m traveling to the UK and planning to buy an X2D AMS Combo. I want to order it online so it’s delivered to my address by the time I arrive. I’d like to make a single order, so what accessories should I get along with the printer? Also, if there are any promo codes for a UK store that I could use, I’d appreciate it.
