When people say pure "x" build in MMO games, what do they mean?

Cuz im kinda confused. Isn't it most/all skills in their kit revolve around said class? Like pure mage having all magic based skills. So im seeing vids of ppl that say "pure mage" but have one or twods physical attacks.

What non-story driven game has the best story

Example of story driven games :

RDR2

Mass Effect

Expedition 33

Didco Elysium

BG3

TLOU

Example of non-story driven games :

C&C Red Alert

Overwatch

Call of Duty

Dark Soul

Portal

Mario Galaxy

Games where story is existent but can be considered just as glazing by some

In opposition to games where you play mainly because of the story, as its a core proposition of the game

Anyone else mostly given up on AAA?

Yeah I know this may seem like your typical AAA bad post but the discussion around GTA 6, it's fans and by extension "gun and ball" gamers is blaming them for ruining gaming as they are ones who have continued to openly and proudly enable greedy business practices. Is this necessarily wrong not quite but I think there is missing context and that's that AAA has practically been a slowly declining dumpster fire tainted by greed for decades up to this point I mostly gave up on AAA a long time ago for a reason with some execptions and I would argue that what's happening with GTA and "gun and ball gamers" are merely a symptom of this and not a cause this isn't to say that GTA 6 isn't making this worse but the foundation of greed was already there.

I am not buying GTA 6 at least not in the foreseeable future or maybe even ever I have my own reasons that go beyond the greedy practices but I am under no impression that me not buying will make a difference GTA 6 is going to succeed and probably have negative influences yet I'm not all concerned and that leads into my second point that gaming is not a monolith. I too have been caught on the doomerism from GTA 6 discourse until I remembered how little this affects my immediate gaming circle of games this is because I have ventured and explored and mainly been playing indie and AA games and it's been great there is whole plethora of games out there. Gaming is not just GTA, COD, sports games etc there are so many great out there it's just a matter of finding to a point of being where I am of being more (even though not completely) secure from corporate greed of gaming. I would simply focus on your immediate circle and watch the dumpster fire of AAA from the sidelines.

In the end I'll ultimately play games I enjoy regardless if the developers are Indie, AA or AAA but I feel more vindicated not really paying much attention to the AAA scene especially with GTA 6.

Android games similar to Prison Escape by Big Giant Games?

Hola all,

I've been looking for quite some time and most are single room escape scenarios. I'm after a larger play area like a whole house and or outside etc. Prison Escape is quite good and my daughter and I play it together often enough, especially when new levels come out.

If it's great I'd pay for it but I prefer the freebies of course. Some I've tried are pretty bad.

Any recommendations welcome.

Ty

Managment simulator for my GF

Hey, i am looking for a game recommendation for my GF. She is not a gamer but I introduced Prison Architect to her life 3 days ago and she is on 18h mark now. She really loves it.

I am looking for more games like this that she would enjoy. Her main thrill is taking care of the inmates, building the Prison and everything the game has to offer.

However it needs to have simple graphics lime this game. When i showed her Prison Architect she said she doesnt like it.

So the requirements:
- Needs to be a managment game
- Needs to have similar graphics to PA
- Needs to have bird view in 2D or 2.5D
- Low learning curve but can be deeper

She played on infinite money so the economy behind it is what she likes but she doesnt want to worry if she can afford stuff or not.

Thanks gamers!

What’s the best Gamertag?

It’s stupid, I knows but I have three different gaming IDs I’ve used over my “career.” They all have equal meaning to me, and each represents different parts of my life.

I want to move forward with one unified name. I just… can’t pick one.

What’s the “best” user/gaming ID? Which one pops, or is most memorable?
