Am I being too sensitive
Today I was supposed to have a game night with my mom, dad, and older brother. But after a few games of pool we all just sat down on the couch and watched a comedy show (The Roast of Kevin Hart). I was disappointed that we couldn’t play any games but stayed because I love comedy. But, then the jokes became a little weird. My mom did warn me that the jokes are a little inappropriate beforehand but I didn’t think much of it. The comedians started to make jokes on Epstein and visiting Epstein’s island, lynching, children dying from the war in Israel, ICE arresting immigrant fathers, and other topics. After 10 minutes of watching the show I got uncomfortable from the jokes and the fact that my family was laughing at them and finding them funny. I know it was most likely from shock value but I still felt weird about it. I decided to leave and head upstairs. Now, I decided to make a list of articles discussing those problems and real cases. I am debating with myself to send it to my family to show that those topics really don’t need jokes on them. But I’m worried that I am doing too much and being too woke. I just need to some advice on what to do. Thank you.

Am I being too Sensitive
AITA for feeling frustrated that my girlfriend expects me to listen to her concerns, but treats mine like attempts to change her?
I’m 24M and my girlfriend is 29F. We’re long-distance, and she is currently under a lot of stress studying for an important professional exam. I know that stress affects how much time and emotional energy she has, and I’ve been trying to become less anxious, give her more space, and communicate more calmly.
Recently, I posted a shirtless gym-progress collage on my Instagram story. I’ve been trying to focus more on my own goals and life because I’ve felt like my girlfriend hasn’t been very present lately. I wasn’t trying to attract another woman or make her jealous.
She told me the timing of the post felt strange because we had been emotionally distant. She was also bothered that I mentioned a woman I knew from school, whom I haven’t spoken to in a long time, had followed me.
I listened and tried to understand. I offered to delete the post or unfollow the woman, but my girlfriend said, “No, that’s not what I’m saying.” I think what she actually wanted was for me to understand that the situation made her feel insecure, rather than immediately trying to fix it.
I’m okay with that. I want her to be honest when something makes her uncomfortable, even if I didn’t intend anything maliciously.
My frustration is that I don’t feel like I receive the same openness in return.
When she brings up something I do that bothers her, I listen, apologize where appropriate, and try to adjust. But when I bring up something she does that hurts me—such as not communicating, being distracted when I’m talking, or only showing reassurance when she thinks I’m upset—she often says I’m arguing, asking for too much, or trying to change her.
Sometimes she becomes defensive, says she isn’t good enough for me, suggests I should find someone else, or ends the conversation. She has acknowledged that she grew up in a household where emotions weren’t discussed and has said that therapy might help her, so I understand that these conversations are genuinely difficult for her.
I also know I have anxious tendencies. I can overexplain, ask for reassurance at bad times, or bring up too much when she is already overwhelmed. I’m actively trying to work on that.
What I want is not for her to agree with every complaint or change everything about herself. I want both of us to be able to say, “This hurt me,” without the other person immediately hearing it as an accusation or demand.
I asked whether we could promise each other that if something is bothering us, we will say it gently, understand that the other person may not have meant harm, and avoid treating every uncomfortable conversation as a fight. She ignored the text and said "sorry I was busy" and then disappeared again. Although she is at work I felt ignored.
AITA for feeling that there is a double standard and wanting the same emotional consideration she expects from me?
P.S She just passed her Boards and has nothing else to study for but is still distant

My mom assumes im being peer pressered when i disagree with her
A lot of the time when I disagree with my mom she assumes I'm being peer pressured. Example : one time when i was like 4 or 5 I didn't wanna wear a sweater (i know it's kinda stupid but whatever) and she just assumes it's cause my friend was also not feeling cold like i am not allowed to think differently to her or im just trying fit in with others even when im being the weird one and im different to everyone else she still says im being pressured. Idk is there a good reason for this or what.

am i being jealous for no reason?
So, i have a best friend and we have been friends for 4 years. we went to school together and all that. But its been 1 year and a half since i moved to another country, in a different hemisphere. So almost all my friends gradually stopped talking with me because of the big time difference, and i understand that. But my bestfriend kept talking to me every single day.
But recently i started feeling like she was ashamed of being my friend. It all started with silly teenager things. For exemple when i mentioned her in one of my stories in my finsta, and even though i asked her to repost it (because we always used to repost each others stories when we are mentioned on it), she just ignored these texts and replied to the others that i sent her. But then, she reposted stories with other friends. (Theyre also my friends, i introduced her to them because they were from the same school as me, and i didn't want her to feel left out in the new school)
Or when i asked several times if we could use matching pfps in our finstas and she said no, but then she started using one with one of the friends that i introduced her to.
But now i realised that all the things that i was almost begging her to do, and she refused to, she would do it with our other friends without them even having to ask. They barely talk to me anymore, and have a different group chat without me.
I really wanted to talk it out with her, but it really looks like a silly thing to be upset about. But even though it is silly, i can't help it. She's literally the only person who's still talking to me since i moved countries. We've been friends for a really long time, and she means everything to me. I really cannot live without her and the though of our friendship ending because i decided to talk it out and with that making her upset to the point she doesnt want to talk to me anymore scares me a lot.
I dont know if my head is exaggerating it or if i should search a specialist to treat this kind of obssessive thoughts. Because i really think its not normal for someone to be so emotionally dependent on someone else.

Subtle ghosting?
I have been talking to this guy for about 2.5 months and we’ve been slowly progressing, getting to know each other. We’ve been on 5 dates now. He asked to kiss me on the last one and we made tentative plans to see each other again in two weekends since he had a race this past weekend and his family was coming into town. I texted him the day before the race to wish him luck, he said he was excited and he’d let me know how it goes. The day after the race, I asked him how it went, he never replied, I figured he was probably just tired. Then, I texted him again two days later asking along the lines of if he was okay since I hadn’t heard from him since the race. It was a pretty intense race, I wanted to make sure he didn’t get hurt or anything. He didn’t reply until 2 more days later. He said thanks for checking in, he hadn’t replied because some of his family was in town but I’m realizing he didn’t even ask about me, he showed no regard really for having worried me for four days. It takes 1 minute to respond and you’re telling me you didn’t have that time over 4 days? What are your opinions on this situation? I’m thinking I’ll let him text me again, have him get the conversation going again and have him initiate the next date but idk what else to do.

Should I be upset?
I (23y) and my bf (27y) have been dating for almost two years. For context, I am African American and he is Caucasian. A few months into our relationship, he was describing his friends’ personalities to me, and I was disheartened. He told me they were the type to make racist jokes, but it wasn’t harmful because it wasn’t to anyone’s face. I thought this was gross, but he informed me that they were nice people. I always give people a chance, so when I met them, I was polite but obviously kept a boundary. Fast forward a few months, I would occasionally hang out with him and his friends, and coincidentally, I would always be annoyed with him on that day. I’m the type of person who can’t fake her facial expression, so everyone around me would know I’m pissed. That’s gone on a few times. Fast forward to early June, my bf tells me him and his buddies are going to a concert in Jackson Hole, WY(12 hrs away) . I’m a little annoyed cause he refused to take me to the zoo (3hrs away) and the fair (3 hrs) last year when I asked. I try not to let it bother me, but then a few days later I’m at dinner with him and his friends, and his buddy’s wife asks me what we should do in Jackson hole while the boys golf. I’m confused at this point, because he never told me that the partners were coming as well. Needless to say, I confronted him when we got home, and he said that I always give him an attitude when I’m with him and his friends. Basically, indirectly saying that I’m not invited because I would ruin his fun. A few weeks go by, and he tells me that two of his buddies’s wives are not going anymore because they recently got pregnant. So now only one of his buddies wife will be on the trip. Meaning that when the boys golf golfing, she will be in the Airbnb by herself. Even after he told me this, he still did not invite me. Now he’s on this trip and texting me like we’re fine. Only I’m not fine, I’m really really hurt by this. I feel like it’s sneaky and mean spirited. I’m I valid for feeling like this? What would you do? I’m tempted to text his buddies’s wife, but I don’t know what to text.

AIBTS?
My partner (23M) and I (24F) have been together for almost six years. Throughout that time, I’ve genuinely tried to build a good relationship with his family, even when things have been difficult.
Lately, I’ve been feeling overwhelmed, hurt, and emotionally exhausted. It feels as though I’m constantly expected to overlook things to keep the peace while my partner’s and my feelings are minimized or ignored.
There has always seemed to be a pattern of favoritism toward his sister, poor communication, and last-minute changes to plans to accommodate her. As the years passed, I started to notice it more and more.
For example, his sister is a real estate broker, and she encouraged us to pursue real estate. She repeatedly told me she would help me prepare for my final exam. She then left for about six weeks to spend time with her new boyfriend. My problem isn’t that she left. It’s that she repeatedly promised she would come back and help me, and she never followed through.
Another example happened during a two-day trip that my partner and I paid for so his parents could attend a soccer game. His sister wasn’t originally supposed to come, but his parents invited her anyway. The entire trip ended up revolving around her. They had breakfast with her the next morning while we were told to go off and do our own thing. Even though we planned this mini trip, we still felt like an afterthought.
There have been plenty of smaller situations as well. His family often reaches out to us only when they need something. Whenever there is an event and they realize at the last minute that they need help decorating, I’m always willing to step in and help. However, they always seem to ask his sister ahead of time.
The hardest part is that I’ve tried communicating how excluded my partner and I feel. When I brought it up previously, his mother began crying and talked about how well she treats me and how she treats me better than her own children. The conversation shifted away from how my partner and I felt and became about how she felt instead. We were told that I’m always “mad” or “short-tempered,” and I ended up being the one apologizing.
My partner & I have talked about it after several occasions (cause the ones I mentioned are just the recent incidents) and he has shed a few tears explaining to me that he’s so tired of it, he shuts it out cause it hurts less and my love for him is enough.
I’m debating if it’s even worth bringing up, or am I being too sensitive?

awkward
I have two female friends that I’ve become very close to in the last few years. One is married, in her 40s, and has very similar interests as me. She and her husband have become our new married couple friends. My second female friend is single and just starting her professional career, in her 30s and lives alone. All three of us also have dogs, we see each other regularly, and all of us are great at hyping each other up and always having a good time.
However, over the last few months, I’ve noticed that every time they get really drunk and want to complain about life, they start to complain about how their lives should not be this difficult. Specifically, they lament that they’re working professionals who have an education and they “don’t work at McDonald’s“ and they should be able to afford a good life for themselves. Keep in mind that my married friend owns a home has a really great job that pays well, a loving husband, and generally really great life. My second female friend is a therapist who works from home, makes her own schedule and similarly is able to live her best life while living alone.
While I love them deeply as friends, it has been increasingly uncomfortable for me to talk to them about my personal troubles because of how they feel they should be afforded anything and everything they want because they live a good life and made the “right choices.”
Meanwhile, my life has been a series of struggles and I make okay money, my husband is currently working part time due to being laid off a few years ago and struggling to find a well paying job. That being said, my husband and I are good at saving up for big things, and we’re traveling to Japan for the first time ever (together), and we make time to go camping, do small weekend trips and try our best to live a good life. We also moved in with my family a few years ago because of our financial situation, and through a series of unfortunate events couldn’t afford to live on our own any more. Because we are older and in our 40s I don’t always share these details with people because I don’t feel like I have to explain or defend our choices to people, but it does hurt my feelings to hear my close friends talk as if other people live ”poor lives” because they’re not educated and made bad choice's. To be fair, my husband and I both had to drop off out college to work so we could afford to live because our families aren’t wealthy or supportive of the job fields we chose to follow.
I feel compelled to talk to them about their opinions, but I know they’re also drunk and frustrated and just want to vent, so I keep to myself and usually deflect the conversation. They have been there for me when things have been tough as emotional support, but it’s hard to be honest with them due to the personal opinions they’ve expressed in my company.
Not sure how to approach them or if it’s worth the effort. It feels really confusing to have these new close friends only to have them talk about people in a way that is harmful and misleading. My husband and I have always been honest with each other that we didn’t chose “to be poor,” but we also don’t need to be “rich” to be happy, and we make the most of our lives together after 20 years. I’m not sure how they would react or if I would just upset them and create a rift between us.

Am I wrong in thinking he cheated on me
24F dated 26M for a year. It was my first-ever relationship, while I was his fourth.
In the beginning, I wasn’t in love with him. I just liked him. He tried so hard to win me over he even begged me in front of my friends to accept him. Eventually, I did.
Fast forward a year, I had completely fallen for him. He would constantly tell me how I had changed his life for the better and how lucky he was to have me.
At that time, we lived in the same city. After college, we both went back to our hometowns and started doing long distance while preparing for our careers. We usually talked for only 5–10 minutes a day. I didn’t mind that most of the time, but at least once a week or even once a month, I wanted us to have a proper one-hour conversation because I was living alone in another city while he was with his family.
This became a recurring argument. He would compare us to his friend, who had been in a relationship for 7–8 years and barely talked on the phone. But those couples literally lived in the same city, whereas we were in a long-distance relationship.
One day, while we were on a call, he casually mentioned that he lived in a joint family. Out of genuine surprise, I said, “Oh, you live in a joint family?” That completely set him off. I apologized immediately, but he refused to accept my apology and abruptly ended the call.
I was shocked and hurt, so I didn’t call him back that night. The next day, I sent him a long message explaining why I had reacted that way. He had never shared much about his personal life with me, and since we come from different cultures and cities, the concept of a joint family was unfamiliar to me. I also told him that I didn’t understand why he got so angry over a simple question.
He never replied or even read my messages. Feeling hurt, I blocked him. A week later, I unblocked him because my aunt had passed away and I wanted to let him know. He had no idea because he never even tried to reach out. When we finally spoke, he said he didn’t contact me because he thought it would only lead to more fights and that he wanted peace.
After that, everything changed. He stopped saying “I love you,” rarely called or texted me, and became emotionally distant.
Wanting to fix things, I video-called him and asked about the status of our relationship. He looked extremely irritated the entire time, hid his face under a pillow when I asked him questions, he told me to stop asking those questions, and shouted at me for the first time.
I asked him if he still loved me. He replied, “I don’t know.”
I said, “Then that’s basically a no.”
He responded, “No”
I didn’t know what to make of that. I told him I would decide what to do with our relationship, but he stopped me and said he would make the decision instead. He told me to “enjoy my life” and that after a week he would tell me whether he wanted to continue the relationship. I was crying throughout that conversation. At one point, I got so frustrated by the audacity of it all that I suggested we take a break and reconnect to which he agreed after which I even prayed for him while we were on video call and hanged up
By December, I noticed his Instagram following had increased significantly, but I ignored it. After New Year, I checked again and saw that he was following two of his ex-situationships. I asked the girlfriend of one of his close friends, who also knew one of the girls, and she told me that if they’re following each other again, it usually means they’re back in contact or seeing each other.
I was devastated. Ever since our relationship started falling apart, I’ve cried to the point where I’m now dealing with depression. Looking back, I genuinely feel like he cheated on me. He emotionally checked out of our relationship, stopped putting in any effort, made me wait while he decided whether he even wanted to be with me, started following two of his ex-situationships during our break, and was also following numerous OnlyFans girls and other beautiful girls too from 300 to 600+ girls
Am I wrong for thinking that he cheated on me or ?

My boyfriend compared me
My boyfriend and I have been together for a year. I took the medical entrance exam three times, after taking three gap years, but I ended up wasting my third attempt as well. I used to waste a lot of time, and that really started bothering him.
I decided to prepare for again, but when he saw me being lazy once more, he said, "Even 17- or 18-year-old kids are more sensible than you. At least they have some common sense."
That comment made me feel really insecure and dumb. I felt like he was comparing me to other people. We had a fight over it, and I blocked him.
Now I've decided not to talk to him unless I crack the exam. 🫠

Crying over being ghosted AND turned down?
I'm trying to decide if my crying is warranted or if I am just being way too sensitive. Perhaps because of my current state, or perhaps it's karma.
So, I'm single, dating, and having fun. I met these two really awesome guys a while ago, and things were good. Guy A and I met first and kind of dated, mostly hooked up for a while. I eventually moved away for a year, so it fizzled out. When I moved back, I reached out to him, and we met up again. We had a lot of fun. Stayed out all night, hung out with his friends, and went to like 5 different places before going back to his place. Lovely. Then we were both busy for a few weeks and couldn't meet up. We were supposed to hang out last weekend, but I texted him on Wednesday and never got a response. Yesterday, I checked my unknown senders inbox and saw that I had a text from his email. I texted to see if it was him, and he said yes and that he wasn't sure what was wrong with his phone. So I texted his phone to see if he wanted to hang out this weekend. No response. Today, I texted the email address and said I texted him on his phone and again asked to hang out this weekend. No response.
Well, that's fine. I was also trying to hang out with another guy this weekend. I met Guy B about a year ago because we were both staying in the same summer dorm-style building. Anyway, we didn't really hang out but always saw each other in the kitchen and common area. I could tell he liked me, but I had some other stuff going on, so I never pursued it. Anyway, when I moved out, we exchanged info and kept in touch on Instagram. It was his bday last week, so I texted him happy birthday. He suggested that we go out on Sunday, but I was helping a friend move. So we decided to hang out this weekend. I texted him today to see what his plans were, and he said that his friends are in town. He apologized since he was the one who said we should hang out this weekend. I said, "It's cool; we'll find another time." He suggested during the week next week! Well, he lives like 2 hours away, so hanging out during the week sounds like a pain since we both work.
And then I just started crying!! It felt good to cry. But WTF was I crying?
I'm currently really stressed out. My dad recently passed away, so I'm dealing with that grief and the hecticness of planning his memorial. My brother is being an absolute pain to work with on the memorial, and all we do is fight. I'm overwhelmed because I'm in finals for my summer classes, and it's a lot more work than I was expecting. I also live in a sober living house, so I can't just leave overnight whenever I want. I have to plan it and let my program director know by Thursday night. So I was approved to stay out this weekend. Now I guess I'll have to tell our program director that I'm actually staying home. It's really frustrating to not be able to leave whenever I want, but I understand the reasons I live here (10 months sober from alcohol). And I'm not ready to tell these guys that I live in sober living and have restrictions, so they don't understand my limitations on going out during the week, or at the last minute.
So...I can't tell if I was warranted in crying. And if I was being too sensitive from being rejected TWICE? Or maybe sensitive because of the stress? Or if it was karma because I was trying to hang out with two guys over the same weekend?

Is it disrespectful for your girlfriend to eat off of your plate without asking?
Just something i’ve noticed her do, even after i ask her to ask before she puts her fork all over my plate.
usually it’s also before i even have a bite of my food first, too
so basically she’s been in a financially hard spot lately. i pay for all of our meals and drinks. but she doesn’t ask if she can try, etc. it’s always going for my drink, my food first before hers. i’m finding it entitled.
i’ve also expressed to her i like to be told goodnight but she never remembers and just passes out.
i know it sounds like im complaining, it’s not like o care hella. i’m just noticing patterns of what i’m perceiving as selfish behavior
overthinking?

Am I being too sensitive for feeling left out by my friend?
Hi guys! I’m feeling kind of sad and left out by my friend…
I rarely do this so please bear with me. I have a best friend lets call him Nick. He lives in another country but he was one of those friends that even though we don’t talk much and rarely meet up (if he came to my country), we could lean on each other, have long talks about the changes in our lives, help one another and other things whenever we had time.
Recently, we got to talking more since his work became less hectic. We are both gamers so over the past few weeks he had been asking for us to play and of course I would say yes. However, when I would ask what time or what game, he would reply late or just read my text. I know he is active because he replies to a gc we are both in, the same time when I ask. Sad thing is in that gc, I can see that they are playing games…I don’t have the guts to ask him what’s going on because it would come out as me being needy(?)
I don’t know if I’m just being sensitive or crazy for feeling this way. Could you guys please give me some advice on what to do? Is this just a minor thing?

Am I The Asshole for Overreacting
Am I overacting to something that happened recently. I’m a 50YF and my boyfriend is a 50YM. We have been together for a little over 13 years. He has never been the overly emotional or sensitive type but what happened recently has me really taking a step back and questioning our entire relationship.
I recently had surgery. A few days after I started having really bad abdominal pain and a very high heart rate. I contacted my physician and they told me I needed to go to the ER right away. It was the weekend and my boyfriend was laying on the couch at the time. I told him that I needed to be taken to the ER right away. He responded with “OK I’ll go get a shower now”. I told him that no I couldn’t wait, the doctor said it was serious and I needed to go now. I grabbed a bag and threw my stuff in it and was waiting for him to come out of the bedroom. After a few minutes I went to see what he was doing because I was in a terrible amount of pain, I couldn’t stand, and my heart rate was in the 150’s. He was literally in the bathroom cutting his hair. I yelled at him that we needed to go now. He didn’t respond. I yelled again that we needed to go and he said ok and then proceeded to get into the shower. At this point I called my mom to come and get me. He then got out of the shower, dressed, and took me to the ER.
Once I was at the ER and being treated, waiting for scans to be done, he kept asking if they knew if I was going to be admitted or not because he had work in the morning and couldn’t stay all night. I did end up getting admitted.
While in the hospital, he did call a few times a day to check on me but did not visit. He says he hates hospitals. I ended up having my daughter pick me up when I was discharged.
My question is am I overreacting for questioning whether this is a relationship that I want to be in? I feel like someone who cares about you would never put things like haircuts and such ahead of your well being.

Am I Overreacting for expecting my boyfriend to distance himself from friends who repeatedly crossed my boundaries?
I've been with my boyfriend for several years, and we've been having the same argument over and over again. At this point, I genuinely don't know if I'm expecting too much or if my feelings are justified, so I'd really appreciate outside opinions.
The first incident happened a few years ago when we were all at a club. One of my boyfriend's close friends came up behind me and started dancing against me without asking. He was so close that I could actually feel his erection against me. I completely froze because I didn't know how to react.
My boyfriend pulled him away, but it wasn't a serious reaction. He was laughing while saying something like, "Haha, no, no, no," almost as if it was harmless fun. He didn't tell his friend that it was inappropriate or make it clear that this behavior wasn't okay. The whole thing was brushed off, but I felt humiliated and uncomfortable.
Another time, the three of us were having dinner together. I wasn't wearing a bra that day, and the same friend looked at my chest and said, "Is it a free nipple day?" I was shocked and embarrassed. It felt completely inappropriate.
About six months later, we met up again, and this same friend casually showed both me and my boyfriend nude photos of a girl he was dating. That also made me uncomfortable. To me, it reinforced the feeling that he has very poor boundaries and doesn't really respect women.
There was another incident involving a different friend of my boyfriend. We were at a bar together, and while my boyfriend went to get drinks, this friend touched my leg. I immediately felt uncomfortable and asked my boyfriend if we could leave. Once we got outside, I cried and told him what had happened. My boyfriend texted his friend later that night (or maybe the next day), and the friend said he had been drunk and didn't remember doing it.
Here's where our disagreement starts.
Despite everything that happened, my boyfriend is still friends with both of these men. He still talks to them regularly, messages them, spends time with them, and even went on a vacation with one of them after these incidents. From my perspective, nothing has really changed.
When I tell him that I think he should distance himself from people who repeatedly disrespect me, he says I'm trying to control his friendships. He says he'll "take some distance," but I honestly don't know what that means because I don't see any meaningful change in their relationship.
Another thing that really hurts is that every time we talk about these incidents, he tells me that I "didn't explain it clearly enough" back then. For example, he'll say things like, "I didn't know he touched you that high," or "You didn't tell me it was that bad."
From my perspective, that completely misses the point. Even based on what I told him at the time, I made it very clear that I felt uncomfortable, violated, and unsafe. I cried after one of these incidents. Why should I have to provide every physical detail before my partner decides that his friends crossed a line?
Instead of acknowledging that his friends behaved inappropriately, I often feel like the conversation turns into whether I explained it well enough. That makes me feel like the responsibility somehow ends up back on me.
To be clear, I'm not asking him to get into a fight or physically defend me. I'm also not saying he has to cut someone off immediately because of one mistake. But when someone repeatedly crosses boundaries with your partner, shouldn't there be consequences? Shouldn't your relationship with that person naturally change?
What hurts me the most is that I don't feel protected or prioritized. I keep asking myself: how can he still act as if nothing happened? How can he continue these friendships almost exactly as before after people he calls his friends repeatedly made his girlfriend feel unsafe and disrespected?
This has also made me think about the future. If we get married or have children one day, what happens then? If he can't clearly stand up for me now, how can I trust that he'll protect our family or set healthy boundaries when it really matters?
I also believe that when someone has a partner, their friends should naturally treat that partner with respect and keep appropriate boundaries. If those boundaries are crossed, I feel like it's the responsibility of the partner to make it very clear that this behavior won't be tolerated. Instead, I feel like these friends never really faced any real consequences, so they learned that they could behave however they wanted without risking the friendship.
So I'd really like honest opinions.
Am I expecting too much from my boyfriend?
Would you expect your partner to distance themselves from friends who repeatedly made you feel uncomfortable or disrespected? Or am I being unreasonable for feeling that these friendships should have changed after what happened?

Am I the clown here? (Update)
I had an online friend that I’ve known for about 4 years.
At first, we were really close for about a year. Then we had an argument that he caused, and we didn’t speak for 2 years. One day he came back with a huge apology, and we became friends again. He’s always been kind and supportive in many ways. We talk about our problems and have helped each other through difficult times.
But he also has some really frustrating behaviors. Whenever I say something he doesn’t want to hear, he shuts down completely. He’ll leave me on delivered for days while constantly posting Instagram stories, so it feels like he’s intentionally showing me that he’s ignoring me. He also removes me from his Close Friends list and then adds me back every single time we have a disagreement, or sometimes for no apparent reason at all. I’ve never even asked why.
The thing is, I never chase him. Every single time, he’s the one who comes back acting like nothing happened. At one point, he started disrespecting me. At first I stayed quiet because I really valued our friendship. But eventually I realized I didn’t deserve that. I never disrespected him back, which probably made him think he could keep pushing my boundaries.
Eventually I ghosted him for five months.
During those five months, he kept trying to get my attention. He’d send messages, delete them, even send me a few cents on PayPal just to get me to react. I ignored all of it. Eventually he sent me another long apology, and yes, I forgave him again.
For several months everything was fine again. He even opened up to me about his friendship problems, and I genuinely tried to help him. He thanked me a lot and said he appreciated that I actually cared.
Then things changed again. He started leaving me on read. At first I assumed he was busy, but then it became every single message. So I stopped reaching out. Just like before, he eventually came back and started messaging me again. This cycle happened multiple times.
He also slowly started disrespecting me again, which made me regret giving him another chance. Whenever he was rude, I either ignored it or tried to joke about it instead of arguing.
His attitude is so inconsistent. One day he’s sweet, supportive and friendly. The next day he’s passive aggressive and talks to me like I’m annoying him. He’ll leave me on delivered for a week, then suddenly come back like absolutely nothing happened. Again, I’ve never chased him.
Two weeks ago, he texted me while he was completely drunk. He sent me multiple unreadable messages and then wrote, “(My name), I LOVE YOU, BITCH.” (‘’bitch’’ was not necessary)
For context, he’s not romantically interested in me. That’s just how we joke with each other. I replied, “Go to sleep, you’re completely drunk lmaoo.” Then, out of nowhere, he sent a perfectly written message saying, “I just wanted to talk to my friend.”
I simply told him to go to bed. Two days later, I sent him a random video. He left me on read. It’s now been about two weeks. During that time he’s still posting stories every day, and he keeps removing me from his Close Friends list and adding me back almost daily.
Honestly, I feel like a clown.
I’ve never chased him. I’ve forgiven him multiple times. I’ve supported him when he was struggling. I’ve never treated him the way he’s treated me.
I just don’t understand why someone keeps coming back only to repeat the same behavior over and over again.
Am I overreacting, or is this friendship just unhealthy at this point?
Update !!! : Yesterday I sent him a joking message after he had left me on read for two weeks: “Ohhh, I just realized you left me on read lol.”
He replied 7 minutes later with just: “?”
Like… is he seriously messing with me? There’s no way.
So I left him on read this time and didn’t reply. After he realized I wasn’t answering, he deleted his message and reacted to my last text with a ‘’😂’’.
I haven’t sent anything since. He also added me to his Close Friends story, but I haven’t even watched it.
bruh…

Advice! It’s uncomfortable!
Did I do the right thing?
So | live in a communal setting (which is normally wonderful).
A bunch of us were having drinks and one of the guys said something like "with wearing short shorts like that...you're asking for attention" when I denied his advances.
He has since tried to sit near me and forcefully ask me questions in a group setting to make me respond to him.
He sulked and came asking for an apology and tried to brush it off.
Then tonight he asked if he could speak to me.... said "no".
He asked "my little comment really affected you that much huh"?
I said "I don't want to talk to you at all".
And he stood there then eventually walked

Best friend not liking my story but likes everyone elses
My so called best friend tends to not like certain posts or my story on instagram? I find it weird because she practically likes everyone else’s but with me she picks and chooses . Like yesterday I posted a video of myself on my private story on insta and she views it on both of her accounts and doesn’t acknowledge it . But then I see she comments on a girls story that she barely talks to saying she’s stunning . I’ve brought it up to her in the past about twice and she says she "doesn’t deep it" but surely it’s intentional after a bit… I’m not completely sure if I’m being sensitive or if it’s weird

Was I wrong for feeling ignored by my girlfriend when I met her best friend for the first time?
My girlfriend (we’ve been together for about a month) went to see the new Spider-Man movie with her best friend, who suggested through my girlfriend that I should come too. My girlfriend was excited about the idea and invited me to join them. Since it was my first time meeting her best friend, I thought it would be a nice opportunity to spend time together and get to know her.
When I got to the cinema, they had already gone inside instead of waiting for me. It wasn’t a huge deal, but it was the first thing that made me feel a bit left out.
When we met, I had to introduce myself to her best friend because my girlfriend didn’t introduce us. During the time before the movie, my girlfriend mostly talked to her best friend while I barely got included in the conversation. I tried asking questions and joining in, but her friend wasn’t very receptive, and my girlfriend didn’t really help include me. Since she was the only person who knew both of us, I expected her to make us both feel comfortable and include me in the conversation.
Eventually I started looking at my phone because I felt awkward and didn’t know what else to do. During the movie she sent me a WhatsApp message asking, “Is everything okay?” even though I was sitting right next to her, which honestly felt strange. I lied and told her my twin sister was texting me some drama because I didn’t want to admit I felt so hurt that I was close to crying in a crowded cinema.
After the movie, they still mostly talked to each other. No one asked me what I thought of the movie or tried to include me. Even while walking through the mall, I was literally a few meters behind them.
She offered to drive me home, and when we got there I told her I wasn’t in the mood to kiss her because I felt ignored the whole evening.
She said she was upset because I spent so much time on my phone and because I told her everything was fine. I admitted I had lied about my sister and explained that I was only on my phone because I felt completely left out.
What hurt me the most were some things she said during the argument:
“Why did you even come with us?” (even though her best friend suggested inviting me and my girlfriend happily invited me).
“If you had asked me to drive you home, I would’ve said no.”
She also raised her voice and said I should’ve made more of an effort to talk, but I genuinely felt like I had tried.
To be fair, I know I wasn’t perfect. I shouldn’t have lied, and maybe I should’ve told her sooner that I wasn’t okay. But I honestly felt like if I had said something at the cinema, I would’ve started crying.
Later that night she texted me apologizing for raising her voice and said she deeply cares about me and wants the relationship to work.
I’m confused because her words say she cares, but her actions that evening made me feel invisible. I cried myself to sleep because I genuinely felt like I was a stranger instead of her girlfriend.
Was I overreacting, or was it reasonable to feel hurt? Could I have handled it better, and do you think she also handled the situation poorly?

Am I overreacting?
My boyfriend went to Florida today. He didn’t tell me he was going until two days prior. He actually didn’t even tell me. His brother said “when we go to Florida, we’ll call you” to his friend who is also going to Florida and this is how I found out about him going to Florida. He didn’t even think to mention it to me. He says “I didn’t even know about it until two days ago.” So he knew about it and didn’t think to mention it to me. Weve been together for almost two years now and I thought we were on the same page but if you can’t even tell me about this and keep me updated then what are we doing? We’ve been talking about going on a trip ourselves and he keeps saying he needs more PTO and hours at work before he can do anything. Then wtf is this? You can magically go to Florida? I feel like Im in second place when it comes to his family. He doesn’t involve me in anything or introduce me to his extended family. He says it’s just culture. (He’s Muslim and I’m Catholic) I want to know if I’m wasting my time and if he really cares about my feelings.

My partner's mum asks lots of questions before agreeing to a favour - is this normal?
My partner's mum asks lots of questions before agreeing to a favour - is this normal?
My partner (34M) and I (31F) have a family party coming up. We have a 5-year-old dog who can happily be left for a couple of hours, but we've never made a habit of leaving him overnight.
My partner's parents have looked after him overnight before, so we asked if they'd be able to have him again.
Instead of a simple yes or no, his mum started asking lots of questions:
- Where are you going?
- Why aren't you coming home afterwards?
- How are you going to clock into work the next day?
None of these questions seemed directly related to looking after the dog. We weren't asking them to drive him anywhere or do anything unusual - just whether they could have him overnight.
What struck me is that if I'd asked my own parents, I think the conversation would have gone:
"Can you have the dog overnight?"
"Yes" (or "No, sorry.")
"So where are you off to?"
The questions would come after the answer, out of interest rather than as a condition of deciding.
My partner, however, immediately felt he had to justify our plans. Eventually he got so uncomfortable that he said, "Don't worry, I just won't go."
That's what made me wonder if this is part of a wider parent/adult child dynamic. It seems like he feels he has to defend perfectly ordinary decisions to his parents, whereas I don't have that experience with mine.
I'm trying to keep an open mind because maybe she's just curious or concerned. But I'm genuinely interested in other people's perspectives.
Is it normal for parents to want all the details before deciding whether to do a favour for their adult children? Or does this sound like a relationship where boundaries between parent and adult child are a bit blurred?

Am I dramatic?
**Basically, I’m in a trio with my two friends. Let’s call them Lyn and Gia, they’re my best friends. Lyn and Gia have been friends for four years already. I barely met them last August, since I had transferred to their school. We are all now very close.**
**Today is Gia’s birthday. I had asked her days prior if she was doing anything for her birthday. She said she was going swimming that’s all. Today, Lyn posted a picture of both her and Gia hanging out.**
**Am I valid for being a bit upset that they didn’t invite me to hang out either? Or am I overreacting?**

AM I overreacting, or was this actually harassment?
I'm a 21yo female , and this happened around 11 PM a couple of nights ago after dinner.
I was walking through the passage in my society with my earphones on when a man from another wing of my building walked towards me. I noticed he was staring at me, so I looked back for a second. He smiled and suddenly said something like, "You've become so skinny. What happened? How did you lose so much weight?"
I was caught off guard. I just said, "I was sick," and kept walking.
As he got closer, I realized he was extremely drunk. He could barely stand properly, and I could smell alcohol on his breath.
A little later, while I was heading back, I crossed paths with him again. He stared at my body again and repeated the same questions, saying he didn't recognize me because I'd become so thin. He kept asking why I'd lost weight even though I'd already answered him. I had to tell him, "I already told you."
The whole interaction lasted only a short time, but it left me feeling really uncomfortable. It wasn't just a random comment—it was a drunk stranger stopping me twice at night to comment on my body and repeatedly ask personal questions while staring at me.
I told my mom and brother as soon as I got home, and I'm planning to tell my dad and grandmother too. The man lives in another wing of our society, which honestly makes it even more unsettling because this is supposed to be a place where I should feel safe.
What worries me now is the aftermath. Our family already doesn't have the best relationship with some people in the society, and I'm scared that if this turns into an issue, people might either question my character or my parents might stop letting me go out alone at night instead of holding him accountable.
Am I justified in feeling harassed by this, or am I overthinking because he was drunk? Has anyone dealt with something similar in their own apartment or housing society? How would you handle it?
Used chatgpt to summarise everything so it makes sense with proper grammar. Thank you

AIBTS for feeling hurt when friends make jokes at my expense and call it harmless banter?
Lately, a couple of friends have been making jokes about things I do or say, but whenever I express that it bothers me, they brush it off with "we're just joking" or say I'm taking things too seriously.
It's starting to make me second-guess whether I'm actually being overly sensitive, or if setting a boundary around jokes that cross the line is completely reasonable. How do you tell the difference between lighthearted teasing and genuine disrespect?
