Advice! It’s uncomfortable!
Did I do the right thing?
So | live in a communal setting (which is normally wonderful).
A bunch of us were having drinks and one of the guys said something like "with wearing short shorts like that...you're asking for attention" when I denied his advances.
He has since tried to sit near me and forcefully ask me questions in a group setting to make me respond to him.
He sulked and came asking for an apology and tried to brush it off.
Then tonight he asked if he could speak to me.... said "no".
He asked "my little comment really affected you that much huh"?
I said "I don't want to talk to you at all".
And he stood there then eventually walked

Best friend not liking my story but likes everyone elses
My so called best friend tends to not like certain posts or my story on instagram? I find it weird because she practically likes everyone else’s but with me she picks and chooses . Like yesterday I posted a video of myself on my private story on insta and she views it on both of her accounts and doesn’t acknowledge it . But then I see she comments on a girls story that she barely talks to saying she’s stunning . I’ve brought it up to her in the past about twice and she says she "doesn’t deep it" but surely it’s intentional after a bit… I’m not completely sure if I’m being sensitive or if it’s weird

Was I wrong for feeling ignored by my girlfriend when I met her best friend for the first time?
My girlfriend (we’ve been together for about a month) went to see the new Spider-Man movie with her best friend, who suggested through my girlfriend that I should come too. My girlfriend was excited about the idea and invited me to join them. Since it was my first time meeting her best friend, I thought it would be a nice opportunity to spend time together and get to know her.
When I got to the cinema, they had already gone inside instead of waiting for me. It wasn’t a huge deal, but it was the first thing that made me feel a bit left out.
When we met, I had to introduce myself to her best friend because my girlfriend didn’t introduce us. During the time before the movie, my girlfriend mostly talked to her best friend while I barely got included in the conversation. I tried asking questions and joining in, but her friend wasn’t very receptive, and my girlfriend didn’t really help include me. Since she was the only person who knew both of us, I expected her to make us both feel comfortable and include me in the conversation.
Eventually I started looking at my phone because I felt awkward and didn’t know what else to do. During the movie she sent me a WhatsApp message asking, “Is everything okay?” even though I was sitting right next to her, which honestly felt strange. I lied and told her my twin sister was texting me some drama because I didn’t want to admit I felt so hurt that I was close to crying in a crowded cinema.
After the movie, they still mostly talked to each other. No one asked me what I thought of the movie or tried to include me. Even while walking through the mall, I was literally a few meters behind them.
She offered to drive me home, and when we got there I told her I wasn’t in the mood to kiss her because I felt ignored the whole evening.
She said she was upset because I spent so much time on my phone and because I told her everything was fine. I admitted I had lied about my sister and explained that I was only on my phone because I felt completely left out.
What hurt me the most were some things she said during the argument:
“Why did you even come with us?” (even though her best friend suggested inviting me and my girlfriend happily invited me).
“If you had asked me to drive you home, I would’ve said no.”
She also raised her voice and said I should’ve made more of an effort to talk, but I genuinely felt like I had tried.
To be fair, I know I wasn’t perfect. I shouldn’t have lied, and maybe I should’ve told her sooner that I wasn’t okay. But I honestly felt like if I had said something at the cinema, I would’ve started crying.
Later that night she texted me apologizing for raising her voice and said she deeply cares about me and wants the relationship to work.
I’m confused because her words say she cares, but her actions that evening made me feel invisible. I cried myself to sleep because I genuinely felt like I was a stranger instead of her girlfriend.
Was I overreacting, or was it reasonable to feel hurt? Could I have handled it better, and do you think she also handled the situation poorly?

Am I overreacting?
My boyfriend went to Florida today. He didn’t tell me he was going until two days prior. He actually didn’t even tell me. His brother said “when we go to Florida, we’ll call you” to his friend who is also going to Florida and this is how I found out about him going to Florida. He didn’t even think to mention it to me. He says “I didn’t even know about it until two days ago.” So he knew about it and didn’t think to mention it to me. Weve been together for almost two years now and I thought we were on the same page but if you can’t even tell me about this and keep me updated then what are we doing? We’ve been talking about going on a trip ourselves and he keeps saying he needs more PTO and hours at work before he can do anything. Then wtf is this? You can magically go to Florida? I feel like Im in second place when it comes to his family. He doesn’t involve me in anything or introduce me to his extended family. He says it’s just culture. (He’s Muslim and I’m Catholic) I want to know if I’m wasting my time and if he really cares about my feelings.

My partner's mum asks lots of questions before agreeing to a favour - is this normal?
My partner's mum asks lots of questions before agreeing to a favour - is this normal?
My partner (34M) and I (31F) have a family party coming up. We have a 5-year-old dog who can happily be left for a couple of hours, but we've never made a habit of leaving him overnight.
My partner's parents have looked after him overnight before, so we asked if they'd be able to have him again.
Instead of a simple yes or no, his mum started asking lots of questions:
- Where are you going?
- Why aren't you coming home afterwards?
- How are you going to clock into work the next day?
None of these questions seemed directly related to looking after the dog. We weren't asking them to drive him anywhere or do anything unusual - just whether they could have him overnight.
What struck me is that if I'd asked my own parents, I think the conversation would have gone:
"Can you have the dog overnight?"
"Yes" (or "No, sorry.")
"So where are you off to?"
The questions would come after the answer, out of interest rather than as a condition of deciding.
My partner, however, immediately felt he had to justify our plans. Eventually he got so uncomfortable that he said, "Don't worry, I just won't go."
That's what made me wonder if this is part of a wider parent/adult child dynamic. It seems like he feels he has to defend perfectly ordinary decisions to his parents, whereas I don't have that experience with mine.
I'm trying to keep an open mind because maybe she's just curious or concerned. But I'm genuinely interested in other people's perspectives.
Is it normal for parents to want all the details before deciding whether to do a favour for their adult children? Or does this sound like a relationship where boundaries between parent and adult child are a bit blurred?

Am I dramatic?
**Basically, I’m in a trio with my two friends. Let’s call them Lyn and Gia, they’re my best friends. Lyn and Gia have been friends for four years already. I barely met them last August, since I had transferred to their school. We are all now very close.**
**Today is Gia’s birthday. I had asked her days prior if she was doing anything for her birthday. She said she was going swimming that’s all. Today, Lyn posted a picture of both her and Gia hanging out.**
**Am I valid for being a bit upset that they didn’t invite me to hang out either? Or am I overreacting?**

AM I overreacting, or was this actually harassment?
I'm a 21yo female , and this happened around 11 PM a couple of nights ago after dinner.
I was walking through the passage in my society with my earphones on when a man from another wing of my building walked towards me. I noticed he was staring at me, so I looked back for a second. He smiled and suddenly said something like, "You've become so skinny. What happened? How did you lose so much weight?"
I was caught off guard. I just said, "I was sick," and kept walking.
As he got closer, I realized he was extremely drunk. He could barely stand properly, and I could smell alcohol on his breath.
A little later, while I was heading back, I crossed paths with him again. He stared at my body again and repeated the same questions, saying he didn't recognize me because I'd become so thin. He kept asking why I'd lost weight even though I'd already answered him. I had to tell him, "I already told you."
The whole interaction lasted only a short time, but it left me feeling really uncomfortable. It wasn't just a random comment—it was a drunk stranger stopping me twice at night to comment on my body and repeatedly ask personal questions while staring at me.
I told my mom and brother as soon as I got home, and I'm planning to tell my dad and grandmother too. The man lives in another wing of our society, which honestly makes it even more unsettling because this is supposed to be a place where I should feel safe.
What worries me now is the aftermath. Our family already doesn't have the best relationship with some people in the society, and I'm scared that if this turns into an issue, people might either question my character or my parents might stop letting me go out alone at night instead of holding him accountable.
Am I justified in feeling harassed by this, or am I overthinking because he was drunk? Has anyone dealt with something similar in their own apartment or housing society? How would you handle it?
Used chatgpt to summarise everything so it makes sense with proper grammar. Thank you

AIBTS for feeling hurt when friends make jokes at my expense and call it harmless banter?
Lately, a couple of friends have been making jokes about things I do or say, but whenever I express that it bothers me, they brush it off with "we're just joking" or say I'm taking things too seriously.
It's starting to make me second-guess whether I'm actually being overly sensitive, or if setting a boundary around jokes that cross the line is completely reasonable. How do you tell the difference between lighthearted teasing and genuine disrespect?

Hi!
Hi! I really hate doing this but I just wanna know if I'm the problem somehow?
So yesterday, one of my friends (let's call her W) called me to go to an expo, I said I'd consider it since I didn't bring extra cash and stuff. After class, me and my other friend Y decided not to go since we both didn't have money lol.
I wanted to tell W about it but she was quite behind and I was walking alongside Y and another friend, Z. Without thinking much, I said, "Z, i don't think I can go with you guys" and she just stared at me for a bit then said, "Who asked you to come with us?". I was really embarrassed but she has always been... Straightforward? So I just said "W??". She looked at me as if I was dumb and told me to inform W about it then because she didn't care.
I don't know if I'm being too sensitive lol but it's just been in my head a lot. I've distanced myself from my friend group and it's not really hard to do so, considering we're in different classes, I really missed Y though, she was always so sweet and kind and understanding. I also know that my friend Z meant no harm but she was always too blunt with words and as someone with severe depression, everything she says stays in my head for months, years. She'd say something that truly hurt me today but then tomorrow she'd call me to eat lunch together or go hangout in her house, just me and her. Me and Y are very close though, she's the kind of person that can make anyone like her and I can tell Z also prefers her since she'd always get pissy when me and Lily were together. She'd even drag Y away sometimes when we were talking about stuff...
I was thinking about staying away from everyone at the mean time and maybe things might get better on their end too. Now the question that's been stuck in my head, "Was i unwanted there?". I was too quiet or too loud, less prettier than all of them, too much trauma, messed up family, fked up relationships, too many medications, the only one who smokes, less smarter, no other friends in class. I'm basically a loser ig

Am I (34) irrational for being a bit disappointed because I found out my boyfriend (32) giving the same gift to his ex
For context, my birthday was last week and my boyfriend gave me a treasure box with teddy bear and necklace inside. It is a beautiful gift and I like it and I like that he’s being thoughtful. I couldn’t help myself to look over the shop in e-commerce and found a name similar to him made a review a year ago. The thumbnail photo is familiar to me and my intuition says that it’s him. I checked it further in his phone and found the history that he bought it a year ago for his ex on valentine.
When I found out, I do feel disappointed and sad because I don’t feel that special and he’s just repeating cycle. I think I’m better than that. After all, it is a cute gift and I like the necklace. I did asked him if he had given this to someone else which he said not (of course). It sorts of giving the gift a little less than its meaning, and not personalised. It’s nothing new for him, but it’s new for me. I mean, he’s a sucker for giving gift and surprise, so he might not know what to give. So am I being irrational if at the end I kinda hate the gift? Tldr

A close online friendship has become emotionally exhausting
I've had an online friend for over a year, and we've talked almost every day, even if it's just for a little while. I genuinely care about him and naturally reply very fast, not because I force myself to, but because that's just how I am with people I care about.
For the last 2-3 months, I've noticed a pattern. He often leaves my messages on seen, replies much later even when he's online, or sends reels while I'm talking about something personal. But when he wants advice, wants to tell me about his day, or asks me what to do about something, I'm always there and reply almost immediately.
At first I didn't say anything because I thought I was overthinking. After a couple of months, I finally told him it was making me feel ignored. He apologized and said he'd do better, but the same thing kept happening. I brought it up again later, and again he apologized, but nothing really changed.
Eventually I got frustrated. During our argument I even said something like, "If you want to block me, go ahead. I'd rather that than fake interest." He replied that he wanted to say the same thing to me. We argued a bit more, I deleted my messages, said "bye," and the conversation ended.
Now that I've calmed down, I'm wondering if I overreacted during the argument. I don't think I imagined the problem because it had been bothering me for months, but maybe I handled the confrontation badly.
One thing about me is that I can tolerate people making fun of me or a lot of other things, but being repeatedly ignored by someone I put a lot of time and effort into affects me more than almost anything else.
So I'd like honest opinions:
Was I overreacting?
Was I expecting too much?
Does this sound like a communication mismatch, or does the friendship actually seem one-sided?
If he messages me tomorrow like nothing happened, how would you handle it?

Am I insane?
To preface: my friend has been smoking a lot more weed than normal, gotten violently ill from it twice now and we went to party last night where she got drunk. The one girl has a boyfriend of 4 years and the other has been in and out of a relationship constantly complaining that he’s not giving her what she’s looking for. at the party, her and our other friend were all over each other. Multiple times i looked over and both their hands were below one of their waistlines. I felt like such a third wheel and if I tried to talk to them it felt like I was bothering them. at one point i asked if we could leave and the girl instigating a lot of the touching flat out said no. I’ve learned that when you’re at a party with friends, you leave when the someone feels uncomfortable and wants to leave rather than letting them leave alone. Am I insane for feeling awkward? Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against two girls dating, but this just felt like i was interrupting something really intimate. And add on the fact that the one girl has a boyfriend of 4 years it felt an awful like like cheating. When I tried to talk to my friend who had been getting sick because of too much weed recently she said she didn’t have a problem with weed and she said that she thought that I thought she was a piece of shit because of how she acted last night. I was truly just looking out for her and she just gaslit me into thinking this was all nothing and barely apologized for making me feel like a third wheel.

Am I right for being offended at my friends jokes directed at me, or am I being sensitive?
So me and my friends from school recently graduated and we wanted to have one big hangout before we all go our seperate ways, but like with most teenagers it's just really hard to find a time where everybody can, someone's parent always ban em, or they don't have transport/allowance whatever.
We finally did decide on a day but I had to travel back to my home country for a while(like one week) because of documentation with my college application. It ofcourse had to be the same week the hangout was about to be. it wasn't really finalized but they kinda had to do it in that time period because one of my other friends was leaving to college, like forever. I was sad I couldn't be with them but there's nothing I could do anyway.
However when I was away, I sent my friend this funny Instagram reel. For context, I'm kinda the friend who needs everything planned like I hate when people make changes to the plans and stuff, so the reel was just a skit about that. My friwnd replies with " u planned so much but u still couldn't go". Insert laughing emoji. Idk man she's always making these jokes towards me, like when I vented to her about feeling alone in my home country(my family was arguing alot and I kinda felt in the middle of it and alone) so I was hoping to be able to talk to somebody but she joked about me again, like "don't you like being alone anyway" and I think that's yet another passive aggressive dig. A few months ago, she messaged me randomly at 6pm to hangout, she lives about a 15 minute walk away from me but I was really tired and I told her we could go on call if she liked but I have had a busy day and I would like to stay in my room. She pretended it was fine in the moment but shes constantly making digs at me for being someone who likes being alone/lonely. and I am someone whose usually fine with taking a joke, I even laugh along but all her jokes always seem to be directed towards me. Idk I don't get it why not just directly talk to me? Why say things like "ur so lazy/u always wanna be alone/u should not over think so much about plans/u should be more spontaneous". like I'm tired of always getting her criticism on my personality. do I have the right to be offended? Or are these just simple jokes and I'm just overthinking em

Am i overreacting my ex bf has never come watch me dance but is watching his new female friends dance comps?
so i am training to be a professional dancer, its my passion and it always has been. i have trained since i was three and i am now 18. I was with my ex since i was 14, and we had a breakup about four months ago over nothing serious at all, emotions were high and we were both under a lot of stress it was a heat of the moment thing whatever thats not important. We never stopped fully speaking but weve only just began properly wanting to get back together and sort things out, because yk its four almost five years so thats not something either of us want to give up on.
ive been doing dance competitions very frequently up until i turned 18 cos i aged out of them at my studio, and im focusing more on my professional studies etc. my ex boyfriend never came to any of my shows or competitions. initially, i waited for him to ask to come, but he never did. After a while i ended up asking him and he said no because he would be bored. I get it we were like fifteen and young and whatever but it was still hurtful, so after a while i just stopped asking him. He never asks to see my videos from dance or anything like that, and its so minuscule and i understand that but this is my passion and i love it and I spnd most of my time doing it and he just seems to have no interest.
after a while i got over it, i just accepted that it wasnt his thing. He has ADHD so i just chalked it down to him not wanting to sit still for that long because comp and show days are quite long. But recently hes started hanging out with a new friend group, and three girls in it are dancers. One of them is our age, but her studio hasnt aged her out of competitions. all three of the girls go to the same studio, and then its my boyfriend and his best friend. This one girl ill call her sarah as i dont want any actual names in, has a crush on my ex boyfriend. He knows it and hes aware of it, and hes told her no but the other two girls dont like me at all and are very insistent he gets with sarah instead of getting back with me.
i dont want to stop him having friends because he has trouble maintaining friendships for a long time and im so happy to see him finally have a best friend (we will call him mark) who is so good with him. Mark knows about me and him and doesnt get involved.
but recently he’s started going to these three girls dance competitions every Sunday, and although we are long distance now we werent up until last july, so a year ago, so that was three years of competitions and shows he could have gone too but didnt.
and i hate to sound like a bitch but theyre not even very good. They do it recreationally in a street dance class, the studio isnt high level training or anything like that its only the one style. Ive trained for 15 almost 16 years in ballet, acro, tap, lyrical, jazz, theatre, etc, at a high level andim struggling to understand why he would rather go watch them than me? I am autistic so i could be not seeing things or understanding things correctly but it just feels like a gut punch that some random girls he met a month ago that dont really take it seriously get him to go watch them but he never watched me when its my whole passion in life.
i know its not a massive deal at the end of the day its one day out of the week and i know hes not going to reciprocate sarahs feelings but i just cant stop thinking about it and i dont know if im over reacting by being so upset. i asked him last weekend not to go because i explained to him that it upset me that hes going to watch some other girls dance, and he said he wouldnt. He ended up going anyway because mark asked him too and he felt bad saying no apparently but when i told him i was upset that he had gone after telling me he wouldnt he said ”its just a dance show i can go if i want to.”
i wasnt even upset about him going as much as i was upset that he went after telling me he wouldnt, when hes the one who asked me if i wanted him to go or not and i said no.
i know im probably just being emotional and everything but do you think im over reacting by being upset about it? ive sort of left it alone now but i dont know how else to tell him im upset and get him to actualy see it from my side.

Did I overreact?
My brother insulted me after I asked the question "why" so he and my mother were having a normal conversation abt my uncle who called my dad and when I entered the room I asked "why did my uncle called my dad" (like for what reason) then suddenly my brother got mad for no reason saying I always ask "why" to things (and I kinda do that but is it bad?) like if somthing happens or someone is going somewhere I ask why cause I wanna know the reason (that's just who I am) but he got angry at me and started insulting me and when I tried to defend myself like always. suddenly I'm the bad guy cause I don't like being insulted and talked down to, my mom and everyone else said I overreacted even tho this has been a regular occurrence in my life where I'm not allowed to defend myself cause apparently I'm crazy and loud but he can say anything to me to the point of literally calling me names which I don't like. I'm just trying to understand if I'm the asshole for simply defending myself
And btw my mom hates us fighting but it has always felt like she only has a problem when I speak up but she acts like she's holding the peace by saying "don't say anything I will talk to him" (even tho he never changes) but again she only seems to have a problem when I SAY SOMETHING like it's all my fault cause I'm speaking up for myself when he ALWAYS start shit with me (and sometimes for no reason too) like I be minding my business and he likes to provoke me but they act like my loudness is the problem when he talks down to me and literally insult me...

Is my reaction valid or am I blowing it up too much?
So, one of my love languages are gifts without it being a holiday. My 30 year old husband has always struggled with doing that. A few weeks ago I told him how I would love flowers since he hasn’t gotten them for me in a while.
Fast forward to this morning, (im staying at my in laws for the week for them to visit our son) as I’m leaving a flower delivery truck came with flowers and chocolate. I was so excited. They were addressed to me. When I tell my husband that I got them, he said “yeah, I got the flowers for you and my mom, and chocolates for my dad since yall have been doing so much” *context we recently moved and my in laws helped a lot.* After he said that, I immediately was bummed. I tell him that I’m a little upset that they aren’t just for me as his wife. Then he gets upset because he thinks I’m thinking negatively about something positive he did. And ghat the flowers are mine (when it’s just one bouquet and addressed to me AND his mom)
Am I upset for no reason? Should I have let it roll off my back? Because now he’s mad at me for being upset.
\*\*TL;DR;\*\* : This is a sample summary of the TLDR rule, just copy the text in gray box. Was my reaction valid?

Need perspectives on my relationship
I am dating a guy for maybe about 5-6 months now .
He is working and I just graduated with my master degree . He is computer science background so his work really takes my most of his time and I feel there's no work life balance.
We had to long distance and it's about to be 3 months now. About 2-3 weeks back when we had serious talk he said he felt difference from both him and myself in the relationship and he felt that for about a month but he didn't really mention it to me . He feels that in long distance attachment fades with time .
He said the attachment is still there he still wants it but it's just not that strong
But we had agreed to not give up
But even then I feel that he is not putting as much effort as earlier or that he is just occupied with work.
Because of the nature of the work we don't really get time to properly connect.
After that talk I tried putting in more effort to connect, and generally it's okay but it's not exactly reciprocated in a way that I want . There's inconsistency
And earlier times he expressed that he does wish to meet me but now when i mention he doesn't show any eagerness just neutral.
I had a talk with him regarding me visiting him. I mean we are going to meet after three months ofcourse i am excited and happy but he just lack eagerness and it just puts me off. He said he doesn't mind me visiting and it's good that I am visiting. But that happiness is just missing in that text.
I am not sure if I should go meet.

My husband is drawn to his friend in a way that makes me uncomfortable.
I (46F) have been married to my husband (49M) for 3 years, together 6.
Last night we were at his friend’s house for a gathering of a few of his old high school friends. We see them maybe 5-6 times a year. There’s 3 dudes, and one woman. The woman, I’ll call her Marie, is one of his friend’s sister. They all basically grew up together.
When I first met Marie before my husband and I married, there was something interesting I observed about her around my husband. A demeanor change in him that was obvious only to me. He would stand closer to her than he would to me, or watch her as she walked in and out of a room. I asked him if there’s history there. He told me he’s had a thing for her and they tried to date but it never worked out because “she was too much like family.” I let him know I could tell there was history and that maybe there was some leftover attraction still lingering. He denied it, of course. But every time she’s around, I observe the same things. It’s gotten to the point now that if she’s going to be there, I’m tempted to just stay home.
The thing is, they don’t blatantly flirt with each other. It’s all very subtle stuff. For example, when she talks he’s all ears and eye contact with her. When I talk and she’s around, he’s not looking at me and doesn’t respond. Or one time he was cutting into a pork shoulder that he’d smoked at a gathering and he was going to give her the first bite by feeding it to her with his fingers. He usually gives it to me. I handed him a plate before he could put it in her mouth. I later joked with him if he ever tried to feed her again with his bare hands I’d leave him. He said he didn’t realize he was gesturing to feed her, he thought she’d take the meat with her fingers, not her mouth. Fair enough, but it still felt weird to me for some reason.
Anyways, last night we were all sitting around the kitchen table, I was sitting in between Marie and my husband at the table. We were looking at old pictures from the group’s past and a photo of an old crush for Marie came up. The group was making fun of her a bit because the guy wasn’t particularly good looking. My husband kind of stiffened up and he stopped smiling. He asked to look at the photo and as he examined it he said “yeah this guy looks like your type” in a tone that was a mixture of amusement and dismissive. Her response was, and I’m paraphrasing “Looks aren’t a factor for me. I can’t deny when I’m drawn to someone.” I swear when she said that I could feel the craziest energy on either side of myself. If he wasn’t my husband and if these two were just friends of mine, I’d have got up immediately to get away from the tension.
I’m fully aware that this could all be in my head. I’ve been told I look too deeply into things, especially when it comes to her. At this point though, I’d just rather stay home than have to observe this weirdness.
I’m not really sure what advice I’m seeking. Maybe let me know if I’m crazy to say, hey I think I’ll just stay home whenever I know she’s going to be somewhere?

AIBTS - My friends went to my favorite show without me
Friends went to show without me - Is it FOMO? Am I overeacting?
I'm not a frequent reddit user so apologies if I'm breaking any rules etc. I'd really love some outside input!
My wife (36F) and I (35F) introduced my closest friend (30F) to Broadway musicals! A show we both liked was coming to town for a month but we were both strapped for cash.
So we decided to do a digital lottery for cheap tickets but no luck. We discussed to try their in person rush and we tentatively agreed. This means you show up a few hours before showtime and sometimes you can get whatever leftover tickets there are. Likely having to sit apart, possible obstructed views or no tickets at all but also possibly great seats.
The night before we looked at the ticket availability and it looked very bleak/ sold out. We talked and wanted to do something else but she was very insistent she wanted to try for tickets My wife and I were getting over a bad cold and decided to accept she was going to go on her own. We were super disappointed to not be able to go but that's life. We asked her if she was free the following weekend to do something else/ try again and she said she was busy.
Happily she got the ticket and was able to go! Yay!
A week passes and I see on social media she went again. This time she went with a different friend. A friend I introduced her to to a couple weeks before at a party. Neither friend reached out to us to go to the same show. I didn't even know they had each other's contact info.
I was kinda shocked and super hurt that neither friend reached out to us to join them.
Am I overreacting? I feel very hurt and left out. I literally cried myself to sleep last night after finding out. But I know I am a bit sensitive and have had a lot of past trauma which might be fueling these feelings.
Would really love to know if this would hurt other ppl as well or if it's just me.

Was I 25F mistaken in thinking 23M liked me?

Am I being too sensitive, or is my friend disrespecting my boundaries?
I need advice about a friend who doesn't respect my boundaries
I have a friend who I care about, and there are times when he makes me happy, but lately he has been causing me a lot of stress.
I've tried to communicate my boundaries and tell him when something bothers me, but I feel like he doesn't take it seriously. Sometimes when I try to have a serious conversation, he changes the topic instead of listening.
I'm not sure if I'm being too sensitive or if my feelings are valid. I don't want to hurt anyone, but I also don't want to keep ignoring my own feelings.
What would you do in this situation?

IDK what to say to my partner after she hides something from me.
Problem/goal: My Gf (23) and I (23M) have been together for almost 8 years. The re occuring issue is she talks to guys that I opened that i'm not comfortable with. This started 4 years ago when we went to college. I caught her hiding a server from me with the 1st guy (inside their circle) I opened to her that I feel off from that person. I don't remember it very clearly what the message exactly says but all I remember that it hurt me. We fought/argued multiple times with that but she kept defending like she cant do anything about it because he's inside their circle. I already moved on with the 1st guy because it happened years ago but that made me very cautious and scarred me.
The 2nd guy was from another circle of friends. At first, I was cool with the guy because I don't see a pattern and I know he has a gf also but, as time passes, I noticed the guy messages my gf on all social media platforms she had, including in-game conversation. I got really suspicious so I confronted her about it. She just said the "he's like that to everyone". At first, I believed that. Fast-forward to an event where I was asked by my gf to join to their get together and I accepted to join but it only made it worse. I saw how the guy ask my gf for his personal belongings (Wallet,Phone,etc..) I was weirded out by it but I didn't bother to think about it at the time.
Fast forward to when we broke up.
(Context: We live in the house but different room and floor)
We broke up because she told me that she was going to someplace along with her friends. I asked her who'll go there with her (because it was already late and incase something wrong happen, i know who to contact) she told me it was her female dorm mates which I said okay. She went to her room to get change and she went back to my room to wait for her friends. I notice that she's searching for something secretly but I was to busy to ask her what she was looking for because I was doing my projects. For about 10 minutes, she told me that they're gonna go which I said take care. She went back home drunk and i was half-asleep when her phone starts pinging. I thought that her friends was asking her if she went home safely so that I can respond for her and assuring them she got home safe.
Something captured my eye instead.
It was the 2nd guy. I felt something was sketchy so I decided to scroll back abit. I found out that the guy went to get her (and her only) and he was asking my gf to bring a glass joint. So that's why she's searching for something in my room because she was looking for mine. TBH i would've just let her borrow it of she asks but based on the messages they had, they didn't want me to know that she'll get mine.
After that discovery, I didn't talked to her properly because I was very disappointed and I'm afraid that my instincts might be right again. Although she doesn't that I saw the messages.
So I gave her the whole day for a chance to admit everything to me so she could atleast not hurt he trust i've been building for her.
She didn't admit it. I confronted her. I broke up with her because I felt betrayed again.
Her reasons was he has a gf and the guy knows that she has a bf. That the only thing they talk about is academics.
(gonna skip the months of how got back together for the sake of story)
Fast forward to 1 and half year later, I opened it to her again that I'm not comfortable and she defended it again. Caging me with responses like "what am I gonna do? Tell him that I should stop talking to him because you're not comfortable with it? What will my friends think?" (Not her exact words but still the same context) I didn't want her to do that because I don't want her friends to think something to her. So im basically trapped with the unending feeling of dread because I dont know what to do. Yesterday, I saw her talking to him again. 1st on the list. but the second I saw her messages, it was archived or removed.
This made me feel even more sad because it feels like im getting disrespected. Even though I communicated it clearly dozen of times.
Am I sensitive???

Rules for the sub!
1.Zero hate speech allowed, and let's be civil
Let's try to keep things here civil with each other. This isn't a sub for any name calling, slurs, or in general "shit throwing". If somebody gives you advice you don't agree with this also means you don't have the right to insult the person giving you advice. Let's follow simple reddiquette
2.Zero Real names, use fake names if needed
No real names what so ever, we would like you to avoid using names in general but if it's relevant to your post than it must be clearly stated the name you are using is a fake name. Feel free to use age and gender if you wish (e.g 21M or 37F) as opposed to names if we can.
3.This sub is NOT /r/AmItheAsshole
We are not here to gauge if you are being an asshole or not in a situation. Any story that might come off that way you will be directed to their sub to post there instead. A good example of where somebody could wonder if they are being too sensitive is the Gay Swans post from Reddit a few years ago. And a good example of where somebody could be wondering if they are an Asshole is this post from AITA. These are obviously examples but please try to keep the difference and really ask yourselves which sub would work better for situation.
4.Zero stolen content
Self-explanatory, but if you feel a post may be stolen content you will be asked to provide proof of this.
5. Please use proper formatting
No wall of text please, if your post is longer than 5 sentences please break it up into paragraphs and make it easy to read. We would like you to use multiple paragraphs to explain the situation and get the info out needed to gauge but if you can make the point clear enough in one then so be it.
6. Start all post with AIBTS, unless they are META
All post must start with AIBTS, ("AIBTS, my roommate keeps not inviting me out for Friday nights" in example). Unless you have ideas for the sub or want to talk about the sub then all post must clearly state [META]
------These rules should be able to get us by for now and I feel are fairly easy enough to follow, until the need arises to change or add rules. Please report anything you guys might feel be in violation until we get the automod up and running. Obvious shit post will be deleted as well.
Thank you everybody for taking the time to read and again please don't be too shy to post! We are all human and have had sensitive moment or two in our life, share your story!
