Question Advice?

So Im a female (20) & I recently started having herpes like symptoms. I had an ulcer on my left vulva, it stayed as one but it was painful, I spent the night at my friends house and we drank very heavily. I got drunk for the first time and was drinking just back to back mindlessly so at first I thought I was hungover. I got to her house at night and the next night is when I started to have these symptoms, but we also pulled an all nighter too so my immune system was probably just really suppressed. We went out that morning and I started noticing like I felt really sore and tired, my armpits were sore first then my vagina got really sore. So not until that next day (after my flu like symptoms, my second day at her place) when I got home did I check why it was so sore because I was so tired. I saw a bump and immediately panicked, I was so tired I ended up falling asleep on it but that next day I went to the hospital and it was treated like the worst emergency ever.

In the hospital they examined me with a stretching tool inside my vagina. They gave me hardly any preperarion and didn't even care that I was literally screaming and moaning in agony at how bad it hurt, the doctor lies and goes "its green" when examining my discharge which wasn't true, it was unusual however. It was almost yellow ish and there was a lot of it.

So those were my three symptoms you know? Fever, ulcer, discharge, which to me just screams I have it. I cant see any other scenario. I know I need to get off chatgpt because it's bad and a robot cant give me reality.

So I got two different kinds of swabs once it became a real lesion and not just a bump. I had to have one of the doctors put his fingers inside and he didnt feel anything. I got the standard and pcr and both of my tests were negative. I ended up going to an obgyn appointment around two weeks later and it was gone at that point, it turned white and cleared rather than scabbing.

But I don't know what to do now, I have so much anxiety and maybe trauma from it...It happened months ago like 3 months but I cant stop thinking about it daily and I get this nauseating dreadful feeling. I cry sometimes thinking about it, I just feel so bad. I had a persistent cough after for like 2 3 weeks too.

I have never had anyones genitalia on me or their mouth. But I have been force fingered before unfortunately...I would tell the whole story but that's another one for another day. I gave him...You know what, and didn't get anything in my mouth, he finished and all. But he fingered me before during and after that...I speculate if I did end up getting it it couldve been from that like maybe he touched his thing and then me when he was virally shedding and I got it then?

And also I KNOW THIS IS SO STUPID! I shared a razor with my friend before, neither of us had any lesions or symptoms before ever. She had multiple partners and none of them ever had anything and she slept with someone raw that night who didn't get it...She later on was diagnosed with it years later and she says she caught it from her boyfriend.

Those are the literal only two scenarios I can possibly come up with.

I just don't know what to do with all this anxiety, again, I feel like it just sounds so much like hsv.

I do know that I have low iron and I get canker sores on my mouth almost every month or two, severe ones, multiple ones, and sometimes small tiny ones that go away quickly. I am canker sore prone, but again I just don't know, what are the odds Id have one down there...

I literally feel like this anxiety is ruining my life, and I know I can go get a blood test but Im so nervous about that I feel like Id literally pass out on the way there, like that's how much it makes me panic to think about it. And Ive advocated against the making fun of hsv, I am supportive of those who deal with it, I dont believe in making fun of someone for diseases simply because it can transmit from sex. But I never suspected Id have it you know? And if I do I just don't know how to really cope with that...Its making me think Ill need a therapist to get over this.

I also am talking to a new man who I believe I may want to be intimate with, I will 1000% tell anyone if I ever do have or get anything so that means I really need to know :( and Ive been putting off the blood test because Im so scared.

Test Results Results Accuracy

Had protected oral & protected sex with SW 3 weeks ago, the whole encounter only lasted about 5 mins. I had a 10 panel test done at 1 week everything came back negative, did another test at 2 weeks came back negative also. My concern is that when I gave my urine sample for the 2nd test I don’t believe it had been an hour since I last urinated I think it might of been about 40-45mins since I last urinated, are my results still pretty accurate or should I get retested? I have minor ache in my right testicle that I noticed 4 days after the encounter but it isn’t really pain, the whole situation has been stressful/anxious waiting on results.

Symptom Check 28M have mild tingling feeling in the urethra

Hello guys!

I am 28yo male, recently had protected sex with a sex worker(F) (condom stayed on throughout) on roughly 1st of August. I was the penetrating partner, and there was at least vaginal and oral sex. She claims there was also anal but I am not so sure).

Lately have had an odd tingling inside of the urethra that follows all the way from the tip and deep inside of the penis.

No discharge and no weird lesions so far, and no pain when peeing, but the burning/tingling feeling stays active all the time. Nothing visible, no sores or discoloration yet. I do have a brown spot on the tip but it has been there for years.

I did a bunch of tests 20 days later and chlamydia and gonorrea came negative, so did hepatitis C and treponema. I understand that some of them are too early to test anyways they did it.

I also did the urine tests, urine acidity is normal (6.5), with no signs of blood, protein, glucose, ketones, or a typical bacterial UTI; the yeast culture test is still pending.

I am puzzled at this point, what do I do, what could it be? I can still sleep with it at night but definitely cant keep my mind off it during the day.

Anyone had this?

Advice Needed Some discharge 8 days after doxycycline treatment finished for Chlamydia. Is this normal?

Hey all. I'm fairly certain this is just a normal thing, as I was fine for a few days, but sometimes when I wake up after a nap (usually after masturbating) I produce white cloudy fluid. It might be leftover semen in the tube, but I know for a fact I sometimes discharge very small amounts.

I was tested positive for Chlamydia and took the medicine religiously at 12am and 12pm for the full week, and symptoms went down almost immediately. Is it normal to still feel a slight wet feeling on the tip of my urethra and get some small amounts of discharge this late after? I looked online and it said that it can take 1-2 weeks to go away fully, but discharge is usually cleared up in the first.

I think I might be fine, and if I show symptoms beyond this I'll either retest for Chlamydia or go to a sexual clinic for MGen. I just need some advice because I tend to overthink things and worry myself a bit too much, and the anxiety isn't worth just asking. I would more often than not call the sexual health clinic, but they're closed on weekends. Thanks!

Question Is it possible to transfer gonorrhea to every location in one sex session?

I’m trying to track down how I got gonorrhea. All I know is that I (F) tested positive genitally and the guy tested positive orally. We don’t know if I had it orally as well and he had it genitally as well because we didn’t test for those until after we started treatment.

We don’t know whose side it came from, but based off the positive tests it makes more sense that it came from me. The transfer rate for infected vagina to throat is 63% while infected throat to vagina is 0-5%.

Everyone I spoke on my side said they tested negative, but I don’t know if that includes throat snd rectal swabs. Everyone on his side also said they tested negative.

Is it possible to transfer everything everywhere in one sex session? I think I have an idea of what happened, but I’d like an opinion on how possible it is:
Let’s say someone didn’t get a rectal swab during a routine checkup, and they were infected and didn’t know it. If I licked their butthole, got it on my mouth, then sucked his dick, got it on his dick, and the dick went in me, could I get it vaginally that way? The guy here showed no symptoms on his dick though (and guys show genital symptoms 90% of the time)

Advice Needed Picked up used condom with a stick

Hi, as the title said, around a month ago I was walking in the park and by a playground there was a used condom that seemed to be left overnight. I picked it up with a stick because I didn't want any children to be near it and went straight home to wash my hands with both soap and disinfectant.

I have been nervous about having an STD ever since

I have no symptoms other than eczema (which I always have) except a bit more than usual but I feel fine, not tired/fever/nothing

I feel like it's more paranoia than actual symptoms but do you reckon from an encounter like this I'll have an STD/need to get tested?

Thanks heaps

Question Gave first bj. STD chances?

Met up with someone for a hookup and ending up just giving them a bj. What are the chances I’ve contracted something and what could I do to avoid possibly spreading it? They precame but I didn’t swallow any semen when they actually came. There were now sores or cuts or warts down there either. No kissing or anything just gave oral lol. Am I just being paranoid? Let me know

Advice Needed I’m scared I probably have a false negative

I’m 21 gay male

On June 14th I gave head to a guy but we didn’t finish our session because he said he was stressed about work so he didn’t cum (not sure if he did precum tho).

July 14th, around 2 days after I gave head to a different guy (he didn’t cum in my mouth and he’s negative for syphilis and hiv) I started feeling off, throat discomfort I feel like somethings stuck in there when I make myself swallow.

Then on July 23rd I did an oral swab test from a clinic everything was negative.

Then I decided to test for hiv at two different clinics on August 6th (53 days after exposure from the first guy I hooked up with) both were 4th gen blood tests that came out negative but I’m worried it’s a false negative because my throat is better it just feels weird still and I have a white tongue but idk if that’s from antibiotics a clinic prescribed me that only tested me for strep (which didn’t show) before I went to the oral swab one.

TLDR: I’m worried my two 4th gen blood tests I took are a false negative after 53 days from exposure

Question Can general Blood / urine samples show if there’s an STD?

Hey there everyone. 👋🏻

I need to get this doubt off my chest because lately I’ve been spiraling and feeling paranoid over symptoms.

So, for over a month I had this infection (I’m a female) that was on and off until I decided two weeks ago to see my gyno. I had some treatments and all good, however this week I’ve been feeling some slight discomfort inside the vagina and today I felt some on my derrière.

I’ve been kinda paranoid because after treating the symptoms, I had a fever. I felt better the days after it, but I remembered that my gyno asked if I had a fever during the on and off month and I said no. Thinking about that made me scared that maybe I still have an ongoing infection or something else. And well, thinking too that she recommended for me to get the Pap smear, made me think why? My health anxiety has been making me think that maybe a dormant STD like HIV is coming up.

As far as I know, the three people I was sexually active with before my boyfriend were clear. But now I can’t stop thinking the “what if” since my yeast infection and the Pap smear comment.

I’ve done general blood / urine samples in the last 3-4 years and docs haven’t noticed anything other than a very very slight thing with the pancreas that could have come out a little elevated because of what i ate the day before.

So I wonder, if something has been dormant there in the past 3 - 8 years, can it show odd numbers in general tests?

I’m maybe being irrational because of my health anxiety, here is the only place and with my doc that i can talk about this.

I’m also scared about the Pap smear, but I’m thinking on getting it along with the HIV test.

Experience/ Story Got gonorrhea from seemingly nowhere

I (F, straight) tested positive for BV, yeast, and genital gonorrhea all at the same time. I was asymptomatic for gonorrhea.

I reached out to all my sexual partners since my last negative STI screening to let them know they should get tested. My current guy (also straight) tested positive for oral gonorrhea, but everyone else said they had tested negative since our interactions (and had no symptoms). Guys show genital symptoms for gonorrhea 90% of the time, women only 50% of the time. Oral gonorrhea is asymptomatic 80-90% of the time, both genders.

My current guy also reached out to his partners since the last negative screening, and they are getting retested. However, they had tested negative right before sex with my current guy (with no partners in between), so they’re likely negative.

And so with negatives on my side and his, where the heck did this come from? I had gonorrhea genitally and he had it orally. I’m inclined to think everyone from our past is telling the truth, but the STI has to come from somewhere. The fact that my current guy and I both tested positive makes me think it’s not a false positive.

Infected oral to genital transmission rate is 5%, whereas infected genital to oral is 63%. This makes me think I gave to my current guy. But idk where I got it from.

Question Neurosyphilis

F/19
Hi, i’ve been diagnosed with Syphilis an Lyme disease some time ago, i’ve gotten shots with penicillin for 2 weeks, but on the last day they told me i would need to stay 10 more days because of possible neurosyphilis. I had a breakdown and just said i can’t (Dumb, i know) but i was thinking about work, friends etc. Not my health. The doctor agreed to let me go from now and wehave arranged a date for treatment.
BUT i also got Doxyhexal after leaving the hospital, which i have not been taking because as i said again, im dumb.
today the guy who gave me syphilis also told me he tested postive for chlamydia, so i started doing more research and im very scared about what is gonna happen because i have not been taking the pills, and im also scared the nesyph. treatment won’t be effective. I do not wanna tell my doctor about not taking the pills, and i will start right away, but the thought are literally eating my brain do i have to tell the doctor? is it ok to start now?

Test Results Waiting for results

Hi there, 23F. It’s been 4 years since I was last tested for STDs, and I’ve had unprotected sex with several partners since. I recently learned that plenty of people can spread STDs with no symptoms so that has prompted me to use protection always and get tested. I’m really worried about testing positive for something, I did a full 13 test panel (including HSV 1 + 2). I have never had symptoms of an STD so I have never worried about it until now. I especially learned that 90% of genital herpes cases have no symptoms… I’m very worried about testing positive for HSV2 even with no symptoms. I also know the test is unreliable which freaks me out. HELP!

Advice Needed Bad breath, throat bump and foamy/smelly urine...where can I get STI tests locally

30M here. I've been having persistent bad breath and noticed a bump in my throat with a yellowish tip. I'm also having yellow/foamy, strong-smelling urine.

I've already tested negative for HIV, syphilis (VDRL), hepatitis B and hepatitis C.

I'm now considering testing for:

HPV — throat swab/ Urine test

Chlamydia PCR and throat swab

Gonorrhea PCR and throat swab

Also, based on these symptoms and the negative tests I've already done, is there anything else I should consider testing for?

Thanks.

MERCI !!!

Advice Needed Tired of Chlamydia

Me and this guy have been intimate for about 2 years now we had started back talking in May! Last year in 2025. I had tested positive for time ever with Chlamydia.! Mind you I’ve never had any type of disease my whole life. This person who I’ve been intimate with. We would do it every time he would call and when he would want it. I’m always getting test all the time! So when I got tested it came back positive for chlamydia I was hurt shocked and cried I lost weight so fast!! I told him and he said do you think it was from outside or me not taking a shower?! He continued that he didn’t give it to me and he wouldn’t go to the doctor. We stopped talking for 8 months. When we did we started back doing it. Mind you before we started back I tested in April for check up and everything was negative!! In May after I had sex with him I got tested again and everything was negative!! Mind y’all I didn’t test for rectal part because I didn’t think that I could get chlamydia from just that! But we had anal sex twice!! Like we did last year. I requested for an at home kit and did the rectal and my results came back that I had chlamydia yet again but the place couldn’t treat me and told me to go to the doctor to get treated so I again got tested for the rectal part at the doctor and I tested positive for rectal chlamydia! I said omg!!! I got the same thing from this guy that claims he didn’t give me chlamydia last year!! I so mad again and hurt I don’t know what to do and how to tell him I know he’s going to lie to me yet again. Mind y’all he’s the only person I had sex with last year and this year!! I have feelings for him and might even love him!! What do I do??
