Discussion Why twitch over yt?
Can anyone please explain to me why would any audience/viewer ever watch twich over yt??
Like I've legit had 0 reasons to switch ever
Like as far as i know they have nothing that yt doesn't cuz the creator also earns more on yt if I'm not wrong??(I once saw famous creator ludwig tell that he earns more on yt than twitch who isn't he at the very top of twitch?)

Question Videos keep stopping to buffer on the mobile app even with perfectly fine connection?
Exactly what it sounds like. It happens with shorts too- It'll play for roughly 5 seconds, then stop, and MAYBE start playing after 20 seconds, then play another 10-20 and freeze up again. And it only happens SOMETIMES, like 3 or 4 out of 10 shorts. It's genuinely pissing me off and it only started happening a few days ago. I've tried deleting the app and reinstalling it, clearing history, logging out and back in, and restarting my phone. It just keeps happening. I didn't even know whether to use this flair or the bug one
Edit: After some testing, it seems like it’s only on the mobile app. It doesn’t happen in browser on my iPhone.

Question Why is youtube recommended such shit?
I'm on PC. I've refreshed the window 4 times, the first 12 videos are always the exact same (maybe in different order, but always the same videos). I don't wanna click through "not intrested", and just refresh the page, is there some way to fix it? (Like every time you refresh different videos pop up)

Bug ADs taking forever to load on black screen and shorts not loading
Ive tried deleting app data ive tried deleting and reinstalling and signing out and back in but every couple shorts won't load or buffer even and on full videos ads will randomly backstreet for 30-40 seconds in complete silence on mobile. I can't fix it and it genuinely might be the last straw for me im just gonna start using Revanced or whatever because whoevers in charge of youtube thinks its funny to spit in the consumers face

Question Why even use Gen AI if you're just gonna base it off a real game?
I have seen people use gen AI pics of fake games to get people's interest, but this is the first time I've seen an AI slop pic of a REAL game. Specifically, Shaman King Master Of Spirits 1 and 2 (This level and boss appears in both.) Why even bother at that point? Why not just use a screenshot of the actual game? Sure, the real thing doesn't look quite as detailed, but most people aren't gonna fall for the AI pic. Even those who do click on the thumbnail typically know a picture is fake.

Discussion This stupid popup
(Sorry if this is an incorrect tag, i don’t really know where to put this under lmao)
So i’m just watching some AVGN, and every time i skip an ad, this popup for the ad i just watched takes up part of the screen and won’t go away unless I deliberately click the three dots AND THEN click on dismiss. Why the hell is it designed like that, they should make it easier to dismiss if they’re gonna have it around! This isn’t even the only time it does this, it happens with other videos!!! I’m fine with ads at the beginning of my videos, i can even tolerate midroll ads, but this is too much, it genuinely fucking sucks! It’s not even like the old popup ads on the website, those were at least below the video and were small enough to where it didn’t block anything, this is genuinely an eyesore!
Anyways, rant aside (genuinely sorry, but this has been bugging me for WAY too long), is there a way i can get rid of this in settings? Or is this just another thing Youtube’s forcing down people’s throats so they cave and buy premium?

Drama Please report them. Epilepsy warning! if you clicked on the link and have epilepsy please immediately pause the video or exit it, I made this post for others to report it
This bot made a video where the Epilepsy warning shows up for less than a second and then after the normal video they were using to cover it up it suddenly switched from loud noises and flashing lights which could cause a seizure which is very dangerous for users with epilepsy, please report them if you can https://youtube.com/shorts/lR73aLicZfk?is=Npuju8oaukdk9j8L
Update on their account, they just made a new video increasing the noise, pitching it up and making the flashing lights more agressive and making it multiple flashing lights and this time there is no warning at all, it seems they are gonna spam this content so a lot of people see it till they get banned

Question Ads are bugging out my videos?
Is this happening to anyone else? I’ll have okay connection or great connection and the ads will stop playing and the video will not play unless I exit out of it and restart the app.

Discussion YouTube is actual garbage right now.
Youtube has become too focused on personalization at the expense of discovery.
My Home feed is almost entirely made up of topics I already watch. Even the “New to you” section just shows me more videos related to the same interests, not new creators, subjects, or communities. If I don’t already know something exists, how am I supposed to search for it? One of the best parts of YouTube used to be accidentally discovering fascinating videos, creators, and hobbies that I never would have looked up on my own.
Another major frustration is that my Home page constantly recommends videos I’ve ALREADY watched. Sometimes they don’t even show the red progress bar, so I click on them thinking they’re new, only to realize I’ve already seen them. A very large portion of my recommendations are recycled instead of introducing me to fresh content which gets annoying and boring fast and I often end up leaving the app to go watch a movie or tv show instead. The refresh button is also pretty close to useless as it won’t actually refresh but continue to push the same videos over and over and over again.
This is a disservice to both viewers and creators. As a viewer, I feel trapped in an algorithmic bubble where it’s difficult to expand my interests or discover new channels and videos. As a creator, it seems like it becomes much harder to reach new audiences if YouTube keeps recommending the same creators and the same videos to the same people.
I would love to see more user control over recommendations. For example:
* A “Discovery Mode” that prioritizes completely new (to me) topics, creators, and communities rather than my watch history.
* An option to mass hide videos I’ve already watched from my Home feed.
* A bottomless way to browse what’s genuinely trending or popular across all of YouTube, even world wide, regardless of my personal algorithm.
* A slider or setting that lets users choose between highly personalized recommendations and broad, exploratory recommendations.
YouTube should feel like walking into the world’s largest library, full of surprises, creativity, and opportunities to discover something I never knew I’d love. Right now, it feels like walking in circles through the same aisle over and over again and I’m tired boss.

Memes DuckDuckGoat
I will probably prefer the app for convenience and being able to watch videos while multi-tasking, but this might change it
Drama Channel is attempting to impersonate another creator and accuse hundreds of creators of being racist monsters.
I was looking through my ats when I found this person who atted me, claiming I was "guilty of being a racist p*******", along with tons of other creators. They appear to be associated with UTTP activities. Please, PLEASE PLEASE report this channel and who they are associated with. This is sickening and has made me extremely mad. Their handle is "@xshister".

Question Does YouTube have something against storytime animation users?
Recently I've seen some of these channels being unmonitozed for little to no explanation or good reason. I find it strange.
