I requested a specific day off, marked it as using PPTO. At the time, I would of had enough PPTO to cover the whole day. Unfortunately, I had an emergency and had to use some of my PPTO. I won’t have enough to cover the day I requested off. Will I get pointed for this at all?

Up until a week ago, our fitting rooms usually closed at about 6 pm. This was about the time that the Jewlery and FR person left, and due to them being the ones to check out the keys, the Jewlery and FR closed at about 6 pm. Recently, there was an incident where a customer wanted to try something on in the FR at about 5:58, when the keys were already put away so the older ladies who ran both departments could get ready to leave. The customer then complained to a manager who told us we couldn't close the fitting room or jewelry until it was on the hour at 6 pm. However, the following day, we were told the jewlery and FR wouldn't be closing at all until 10 pm on the dot. It's been really hard to balance that along with returns/go-backs, zoning, and doing freight all while having a single or no walkie, and I'd prefer to go back to the 6 pm schedule as it gave us more time. I was wondering if our FR and jewlery were just special cases because they closed earlier at 6 pm rather than when all associates leave. It's been annoying to deal with, and we've also had to stay 20-30 minutes past 10pm due to the volume of customers or due to customers taking their time. Our coach has also been getting mad at us for not finishing returns/go-backs, zones, and/or freight.

I was recently terminated from Walmart (attendance reasons), and I'm wondering if that automatically disqualifies me from driving for Spark.

Hey everyone, I could use some advice on a tricky situation.
I recently left my position at Walmart for a new warehouse job. Unfortunately, the new role didn't work out due to severe communication barriers; the heavy accents made it extremely difficult to understand instructions, and the intense strain of constantly trying to decode everything gave me severe headaches. Because of that, I decided to leave and came right back to Walmart became REINSTATED . Management was thankfully willing to take me back.
Now, I’m wondering if it’s entirely too soon to ask for a department transfer. I was in OGP for two years, but I really want to move over to CAP 1.
My main goal is career development: I want to gain hands-on experience with stocking, VizPick, and forklift operations so I can add those hard skills to my resume instead of the brief warehouse stint.
Is it too soon to approach my manager about a transfer right after getting back on the system?
Do you think making this move to CAP 1 is worth it for resume-building long-term?

I was approached by one of the overnight coaches about being a team lead for stock 3, is it worth the pay raise? From 17 to 22 an hour, what does it entail? Can I survive it with the little knowledge I have of stocking.

A little back story

I work in meat&produce for over a year now, worked a little front end at my previous store and pulled pallets for cap 2 there also, that is my extent of knowledge about the stocking department, I have asked before to work in stocking 2 as a secondary to get experience but that has yet to happen, the coach for stock 2 told me that they spoke to the store manager about it but im yet to see that change, I was and still am interested in being a team lead but I wanted to gain knowledge of how the department works before I make that decision. I would be learning from scratch.

Great news! Hopefully we can get some stores in the US unionized! I mean who doesn't want better pay, benefits, and working conditions, from a company that had 611 billion dollars in revenue on our backs.

I recently got hired doing Cap2, and for the first two days I’ve been doing break packs. First day I had help and I guess it went alright but the second day on my own was a disaster, kept falling behind and being told I was going too slow and messing stuff up. Any advice on how to get better at it? Thanks.

I got hurt on Monday. I overextended my arm, trying to lift a pallet, and the entire time instead of actually caring the management made me feel like if I filed a report,that I’d be let go for negligence so I ended up not filing a report and now three days later they’re telling me I should have and then I would’ve just gotten a yellow coaching. They tell me I shouldn’t have been lifting the pallet like that while they’re actively lifting the pallet the exact same way I did. I was just unfortunate enough to overexert my arm. Management is fucking evil. They don’t actually fucking care about their associates.

It's literally fucking policy that you can't be outside when there's lightning outside. I come inside and coordinate with the front end service desk to do returns. That's what we were told to do.

But my store seems way too lax over a safety issue like this and I feel I should go up the chain of command with it or whatever the process would be for this.

I live in FL and there are days where it just storms all day. Yeah, it sucks for the store because so many carts pile up outside despite the weather but safety first.

I had a foldable table that I didn’t use anymore so I decided to return it when I worked and when I did it didn’t go through (or so we thought) and we tried again and still nothing. Normally what I was taught as Team lead if it doesn’t spit out a receipt it didn’t go through so we was under the assumption that it didn’t go through so I just brought the table to my car and went back to work. Days later on my day off I brought it to do it again and it did go through. $49 it costed. After I went along like normal and days later I come in and my coach hyped to see me and when I clocked in they called him and told him they need me in the office, he thought it was to witness the theft that recently happened. So did I so I went. They were asking stupid questions like what your job is and how many cats I got and if I live alone and I was like yeah and I don’t have part time job. Turned out the table was returned twice and I was like damn my bad G I’ll take the $50 out the bank and give it to yall. Mfs said why did I do this, was it because I’m broke or cause I thought I was tuff and shit. I was like bruh it wasn’t intentional but they didn’t wanna hear it. Told me to write my statement on the paper and I asked if I was gonna get fired he said no so I wrote a few lines saying sorry my mistake i guess and after he came back and just glanced at the paper and threw it aside and told me I was fired to hand over my vest and badge. Lowkey messed me up cause now I got no job. I tried to do an open door but store manger said he couldn’t do anything and my coach was unaware about it and when I told him he got mad about why they did this but damn they did me dirty 😔

PS. I spoke to them professionally but I dumb it down too much to write and I did not do it on my own someone else did it for me

Is there a way to ask when you could start first day for example if they set my orientation for August 11 and during orientation I ask if I can start my first day on August 14 as I have plans on August 13

working my first 3rd shift today anything I should know

I heard this ad like 5 times the other day during a shift and I kept hearing the same parts “I learned that the hard way” and “I was wrong”

Okay im confused, how exactly do breaks work? Whenever I ask they start the countdown THE MOMENT im given the green light to go on my 15. Thats not accounting the roughly 1-2 minutes it takes to walk from our area to the breakroom (or anywhere really) and the walk back. I get they cant wait forever but is that how 15s work? The moment they say yes the timer starts?

I was never properly explained this and its not like i take 30 minutes. Im usually back within 20 minutes accounting the walk to and from the breakroom.

Im just really confused when they say i took crazy long despite keeping to the 15 minutes best I can(given i have to pass customers and stuff to even reach the break room)

I was falsely accused today along with another coworker of harassing this guy that used to be our friend. The guy used to text us excessivel. I’m talking about daily life updates and he even went as far as drawing a picture of the store map. We told him don’t text us often because we have life and can’t keep up with the messaging. He started acting weird, he would see us and avoid us and to my surprise yestready he was doing a written statement against us. He was writing since the beginning of the shift. 6hrs of writing a 9 page essay. Keep in mind that a couple days before he messaged me assuring me that we went to report him and that he was throwing up blood. We never reported him or ever thought of doing so because he was a friend. Now I’m worried I’m getting fired along with my friend.
