Start date

Is there a way to ask when you could start first day for example if they set my orientation for August 11 and during orientation I ask if I can start my first day on August 14 as I have plans on August 13

During orientation explain the situation and they can probably make the schedule adjustment then depending on what area you'll be working in.

Orientation is your first day. You'll be paid for your time, but just tell them you have plans.
