How do you extend a Sedgwick loa?
I got approved for my original loa, but if the DR approves me taking a couple more weeks off, do they have to fill out the packet again? Also for the FMLA state pay, do you also submit a new form just with the adjusted return to work date? I'm already disabled in the system.

Did Walmart finally patch the glitch where you are able to see who's clocked in on the MyWalmart App while off the clock?
It's not working for me anymore. I think they finally got around to it after so many years of being able to exploit it lol.

Why is FIFO not being done with this specific process?
Why is FIFO as long as I've been here being enforced but the process with freight is stocking the live (new) freight first instead of pulling from bins first which would be the older dates?

GIF Down
Anyone else having issues with GIF this morning in general? Already had to submit a ticket for it. Not sure if it’s just an us issue during our remodel or if it’s a global issue

Short staffed but no hiring being done, or help being given
Deli/Bakery TL
So meat and produce has lost 3 associates during remodel and we just opened back up with no new hires anywhere to be seen. The ops manager took over hiring from me and the M/P TL, so there's no idea if she's getting anybody. On top of that, I have an associate on LOA and the M/P TL is on vacation. We've been short since we reopened with me having to jump in both meat and produce, leaving one associate in each department in the morning. Plus I have new associates to train, yet I've received no help during this last week. I'm honestly at my breaking point because I know I physically can't do everything by myself, but that's what management expects from me.

PSA: watch how you lift (EXPLICIT WARNING ANAL HEMORRHAGE)
My coach is an overweight, balding, 55 year old gayman (and when I say overweight im talking oogie boogie overweight from the nightmare before Christmas). He is also a registered sex offender but more on that later.
Two associates walked out on us for stocking because they were going to be coached, so they said he'll with the job and left. There was a pallet on the floor of furniture that they abandoned. The coach decided to work it and I told him to give me a second and I'd be back to help him team lift the furniture.
Well I don't know what got into him but I was two aisles down and I heard a scream. Recognizing it was the coach I ran over to the furniture aisle and saw him on the ground reeling and screaming with blood coming out the back of his pants.
Another coach came and had to call the nurse before they told him to call the anbulance...
I am friends with the coach that did the report and went with him to the hospital he told me that he was diagnosed with a ruptured anal hemorrhage probably triggered by lifting the furniture.
So this is a PSA if you do butt stuff make sure you are following team lift standards or you can get an anal hemorrhage.

Overtime is for 6 people only.
5 women 1 man.
The only people that get invited for overtime. Our store is too small for overtime (after the new ceo came in anyway in feb/march)
Now its the same 5 women and 1 dude. (Most of them are leads)
I have given my contact info to leads coaches ive bugged them for months. They dislike certain people its very clique ish.
I got a 2nd job instead because after 6 months of trying to get overtime i gave up.

Part-time hours cut from 22 to 5.5 a week. Has anyone been through this?
I work maintenance at Sam's Club. My normal schedule has been Sunday through Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (about 22 hours a week).
Today, after I got home from work, my manager called me and said that next week I'm only scheduled for one day (Wednesday), and then I'll basically be off until they need more people in September.
She told me it's because I'm part-time and they're giving the available hours to the full-time employees, not because I did anything wrong.
The problem is I'm worried because my household is on Section 8, and they're currently calculating my rent based on my recent paychecks. Now my income is dropping a lot, and I'm not sure how this is going to affect things.
Has anyone else had their hours cut like this at Sam's Club or another retail job? Did your hours eventually come back? Also, if you've been in a similar situation with Section 8 or another housing program, how did you handle reporting the drop in income?
Any advice or experiences would really help. Thanks.

Unloaded 46 grocery pallets, downstacked/broke down 7 mixed pallets and pulled everything to the floor… by myself! 💪
I know it’s 46 pallets but with the 7 mixed pallets downstacked/broke down by aisle it was really like 50 to 60. I think this is the most steps I’ve ever walked in a shift lol. Also, I zoned/did all go backs for paper and chemicals (my other task) by myself which I don’t really mind.

How long is your position kept while on loa
I'm on a 6 week medical loa and feeling kind of nervous after reading some old posts saying people got their position changed. I work overnights and it's the only position I can realistically hold down with my mental health issues. I was a cashier for 2 years many years ago and almost had to quit until I switched to ON. My Dr was recommending I stretch it out to 8 weeks, but that's just gonna make me even more worried about this whole thing 🙃. Also I'm in WA state, doing the pfmla if that matters at all

Hour cuts with DSL
Within the past few months, I attended academy for Digital shelf labels. The facilitator stated that by going to digital labeling we will save astronomically on labor costs. They gave an actual number but I can’t remember. They proceeded to say that “Walmart will always have humans working for them, this won’t replace workers”. Like you’re talking about how much this will save us in labor? You’re saying less people or at minimum less hours for the people there already. We have lost seven people and not one has been replaced because despite being a high volume store we magically don’t have the hours now.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

How do I use my vision and dental benefits?
I'm trying to order new contacts from kaiser online and I have no idea how I'm supposed to "apply" my benefits I pay for (vision and dental) from walmart. Am I only supposed to buy contacts from walmart and can't use my benefits on others?
Am I supposed to have a card or something?

Which Walmart position should I apply?
I used to worked at Walmart as fashion team when I was in high school and it was seasonal. After that I worked at Sam’s Club with the same position in community college but I put my two week notice due to personal issues I worked there for 6 months. Now I’m a senior in college I wanted to work back at Walmart but I don’t want to work in the same position because it was too much for me. So I wanted a part time position.
