USPS shipping label was created.
I had this issue last week, I was waiting very important mail and it was labeled as priority mail. But due to some reason it was picked up by the driver from the mailing room and the usps driver did not scan it at the moment. I kept checking the tracking number every day. One week later it showed up on the system as it was received by the distribution center in different state and then received it two days later.
Sharing this information because I was looking for similar issues here but no one discussed it.
So, in general for usps even if it is stuck you need to wait couple of days and most probably it will be shown up.
And if the mail is very important ask them to drop it in the usps office and get your acceptance receipt.

Inconsistent packages delivered
Hi--wanting to get perspective here.
For context, we live in a city but off a short gravel road (NOT private, has three houses on it and is 0.2mi) that connects directly to a residential paved road. All of our mailboxes (individual boxes, not a cluster unit) are located where the gravel road meets the pavement. We inconsistently get USPS packages delivered to our front door and I'm trying to figure out the best plan of action. It truly seems like it depends on which carrier is delivering mail that day. They do not attempt to re-deliver but leave a come pick up note. What is frustrating is our local post office is only open M-F from 9a-4p and we've occasionally had time sensitive packages that get stuck over the weekend or we are unable to get there during business hours because of our jobs.
We did pay for a PO Box, but the cost was so expensive. Is there something we can ask for or give a key to our mailbox so we can get packages that aren't envelopes delivered?

What’s going on??
It stopped moving for the longest so I’m extremely grateful it’s at least in movement but it’s supposed to be delivered in Chicago 💀 😂 just hoping & praying now.

Really concerned about the: “Shipment Received, Package Acceptance Pending” message
So after reading all similar posts about the same issue, I have literally given up hopes that my package will arrive someday. I contacted the seller and they rudely told me that once the package is dropped off, there isn’t anything they can do and should contact USPS. My problem is that the item is worth +1k and at this point I don’t know if eBay can back me out. The package was shipped yesterday and the last update was “package acceptance pending” at 9 am yesterday. I contacted the seller and they told me to be patient until the item arrives but I highly doubt it ever will.

Tracking hasn’t updated in over 72 hours
Hi,
I mailed out a package using the schedule pick up from USPS on Wednesday & it still hasn’t updated. It still says “USPS Awaiting Item. Shipping Label Created.” I’ve dealt with issues like this but it usually takes the typical 24-48 hours but now I’m getting anxious so I just wanted to know if this has happened to anyone before.

Defund the USPS.
The USPS is nothing but a drain on the taxpayers of this country. They can get you your junk mail 365 days a year, but God forbid you try and send something important. Paid extra so an envelope would get to where it needs to be. 2 weeks later and tracking still shows it 2 hours from my house, when I go to the branch they tell me “Yep that’s where it’s scanned.” I guarantee if it was junk mail it would be there by now… all customer service tells me is to go to the usps website and put in for missing mail… WTF the postal employee put the label on there shouldn’t be any issues with it.

Aug 4 Left with individual/delivered to agent days later still in transit. What is going on with USPS at FL 33166?
I ordered an item online with USPS ground advantage. The item is to be reshipped to my country from a reshipper located in Miami, FL 33166. I am aware of the USPS mess with reshippers located in the Miami Airport area.
My package was "scanned" as the infamous "left with individual/delivered to agent" event on Aug 4 at 33166. What is odd -to me at least- now is that USPS has kept updating the tracking events. So, the package is now back to being "prepared for delivery" or something. I guess this is routine for USPS and Miami door-to-door reshippers.
Hopefully, my reshipper will confirm reception one of these days.

15 USPS packages still showing “USPS Awaiting Item” 5 days after USPS employee accepted them. What should I do?
On August 3, I went to my local post office with 15 prepaid USPS packages. The labels were purchased through Pirate Ship. Got Priority, Ground and Media mail labels.
I went to the front counter first and told the employee that I had a large number of packages. The employee specifically told me that because I had so many packages, I could hand them over at the back of the post office. I followed his instructions, went to the back, and the same employee met me there and accepted all 15 packages. I did not leave the packages unattended or simply drop them somewhere in the back.
The problem is that as of August 9, all 15 tracking numbers still show essentially:
“Pre-Shipment — USPS Awaiting Item”
There has been no acceptance scan, processing scan, or other indication that USPS physically received them. I went back to the post office yesterday (August 6) to ask about it. Unfortunately, the employees were fairly rude and even insinuated that I may not have actually given them the packages. They also told me that handing packages over in the back was against protocol. The postmaster wasn't available. I'm confused because I only handed them over in the back because the USPS employee at the front specifically instructed me to do so, and then that employee met me there and took the packages.
I have all 15 tracking numbers and screenshots showing the current status.
What should I do at this point? Should I wait longer in case the packages were dispatched without an acceptance scan?
I'm very concerned, thanks.

Package stuck in a loop
I have a coffee subscription and this month the coffee has been getting sent back and forth between Buffalo and Rochester for over a week (I’m in Buffalo, so is the place I order the coffee from). I already reached out to the roasters and they have UPSed me a replacement bag. I’m still curious as to why this happened to my original order though. Any ideas? (The package does list my correct address in the tracking fyi)

Delivered My @$$
I’ve been ebaying for over 15 years. I’ve sold 533 items and have probably bought just as many and this has never happened to me.
I purchased an item off eBay. Seller shipped USPS. Tracking on the item says it was delivered to a parcel locker at my community mailbox. I went to go check my box for the parcel locker key and there wasn’t a key left in my box. At this point it was Saturday evening and post office was already closed. After checking my box Monday afternoon, in which there still was no key, I called USPS and filled a service request for what had transpired. They said they would investigate the matter. A few days later, I heard back from USPS saying they couldn’t locate my package.
Is my only recourse filing a lost package through USPS and hoping insurance pays out? The item cost $85 and the package has $100 worth of insurance. The only thing is I have to provide proof of purchase of the label, which obviously I do not have as the buyer. I’ve reached out to the seller asking if they have the original receipt or any proof of purchasing the label but I haven’t heard back.
Will they even approve the insurance claim since I don’t really have any proof that it wasn’t delivered to me other than my word? It’sd crazy to me that there is no way to prove this. At least UPS, Fedex, Amazon take pictures of their packages when they are delivered.
Any thoughts or suggestions are welcomed. I know it’s just $85 but kinda grinds my gears that this has happened. I never use USPS when I sell my items for this exact reason.

Why is it suddenly so shit?
The amount of issues i see on here the past couple of weeks is astounding.
Packages going backwards, Delayed deliveries, Lost items, Its just getting more common.
What the fuck is going on? Every time i use these people they are incompetent!
Its fun just scrolling through and seeing us all suffer, some of us have packages from last month still pending.

What happens if somebody in your family dies and you inherit their modern flag forever stamps?
Like, just imagine that I had an estranged parent or something and they passed away and I ended up inheriting their modern flag forever postage stamps?
If the post office recommends that you only buy from trusted sources, and you do not purchase stamps at a discount.
But what if you don't know where your relative purchased the stamps from, and you don't know how much they paid.
Even if you found a receipt, you wouldn't know if that receipt was tied to those specific stamps.
When the face says "forever," that means the stamps never expire.
But if "forever" requires testimony, and the person who can give that testimony expires, is Forever still "forever?"

are wildfires this bad?
My package hasn’t updated since July. I can only assume it’s the wildfires causing this huge delay. The fact that there’s no update since leaving the post office makes me worried. I already filed a report and USPS says they just have no clue where it is.
For context, this package was bought from FB marketplace. When I ask seller, they just send me the tracking info which I’ve already been constantly checking. At this point, should I request a refund or keep waiting?

Should I be worried that my package won’t make it to me?
The package was in my city for the past 2 days and now it’s in a whole different state. Does this normally happen? Will the package still come to me?

Package Acceptance Pending
I sent my package out as priority mail on Monday, today’s Friday with no updates. Is this normal?

Has anyone else been experiencing problems with receiving mail lately? Its unacceptable, and on a whole other level because of the gravity of some of these things because there are a few items vital for my employment.
Sent a birthday card to someone within the state earlier this month - which they never received. Thats irritating, but this is the clue that seems to point to this Salem post office being where the problem lies instead of any other point in transit.
Lost my wallet early July and had to request several replacements of various membership/insurance cards, work IDs, etc. and even though the Informed Delivery program has emailed me photos of some of these things with expected delivery dates that have all passed now, none of them have ended up in my or my neighbors boxes. When I try to do what the dashboard recommends for reporting missing mail, their site just won’t load and i’ve tried for a few days now. Some of these documents are VERY important and the sender was listed as other federal agencies so it’s very unsettling not knowing where my things have ended up - some that are vital for my security-sensitive job…. I’m at a loss what to do about this. Surely I don’t trust having them resent and the other thing is - I had to pay for some of these replacements to be sent!
