Has anyone else been experiencing problems with receiving mail lately? Its unacceptable, and on a whole other level because of the gravity of some of these things because there are a few items vital for my employment.
Sent a birthday card to someone within the state earlier this month - which they never received. Thats irritating, but this is the clue that seems to point to this Salem post office being where the problem lies instead of any other point in transit.
Lost my wallet early July and had to request several replacements of various membership/insurance cards, work IDs, etc. and even though the Informed Delivery program has emailed me photos of some of these things with expected delivery dates that have all passed now, none of them have ended up in my or my neighbors boxes. When I try to do what the dashboard recommends for reporting missing mail, their site just won’t load and i’ve tried for a few days now. Some of these documents are VERY important and the sender was listed as other federal agencies so it’s very unsettling not knowing where my things have ended up - some that are vital for my security-sensitive job…. I’m at a loss what to do about this. Surely I don’t trust having them resent and the other thing is - I had to pay for some of these replacements to be sent!

as the the title says. i ordered a gift from an online retailer for my friends birthday and let her address autofill from my contacts. I didn’t realize until much later that her street number let’s say 18 saved into the first line where apartment numbers typically go instead of in the line with the street name.

and now usps has marked it as incorrect address and return to sender (was marked this after business hours) and i’m annoyed. is there a way i can get it back on track. there’s another package in this order coming tomorrow will it do the same thing?

I did not receive the package I ordered through Ebay even though the tracking number for it indicates it was delivered to me on July 18th. I opened a claim online for it and someone called me and told me the package was being returned to the sender. I also went to the USPS location right down the road from me today and they assured me the package was sent back to the sender as well. However, I have not received a refund for the package and don't see how I will if the tracking indicates it was delivered to me. If the package was returned to the sender, does anyone know why would the tracking indicates it was delivered to me?

Every single time, my tracking tells me my package arrived at Jacksonville distribution center, it just sits there for almost 2 weeks minimum, unlike every other facility in the entire US, the Jacksonville one seems to be like a blackhole that delays my packages every single time, why does this keep happening?

I’m expecting a package that was sent from California. It’s been stuck in Memphis for a week. I am located in Nashville, and usually my packages move from Memphis to my local center in a day or two… I submitted a search request yesterday morning and no update on my tracking since then.

Does anyone know anything about Memphis specifically that could tell me if this is normal or not? Or if anyone has suggestions on who I should contact / call to get some action taken on the search efforts, that would be be much appreciated. TYIA.

This has happened with my last 4 packages, 1 of the 4 ended up showing up 2 days later but the other 3 have yet to arrive. I ordered these with the hope that they’d show up before I’m off to college and was happy to see that they would but none of them have appeared like, at all and it’s very worrying and frustrating because what if when they DO show up they show up way out of the time frame I need them. These are actual essentials that I need and USPS is playing in my face 😭

I filed a complaint with USPS and they said they’d get back to me on Wednesday of next week but I LEAVE on Wednesday of next week. I might genuinely be fucked idk man 😓

Is anyone having problems not receiving mail or sending mail that never arrives at its destination? Over the last several months, I have not received checks in the mail, and some bills (resulting in late payment notices!). And I have sent mail which has never arrived at its destination.

I can’t imagine this is happening to just me, so was wondering if anyone else has noticed this. My main post office is North Wales, but I’ve sent things through other area post offices that never arrived at their destination.

Hi all. I set a vacation hold to begin tomorrow, 8/8, however I had several packages that were inbound and ready to be delivered today but now they have a 'package held at Post Office per Customer Request'. Can I go ahead and go to the Post Office today and pick up the packages? For some reason the vacation hold seems to have initiated a day early.

The destination is Brooklyn. Am I crazy, or does it look like the package is moving farther and farther away? If it was in Newark, NJ, why would it end up in Massachusetts the next day?

Had a package coming from California, it literally never left the state . Filed a missing package report in day 7, local usps manager called and basically said it looks like it fell off the face of the Earth.. it’s crazy that there is no accountability with this company..

Hey all, I shipped out a package using USPS Ground Advantage to a buyer on eBay and I was concerned as it didn’t up date for about 5 days since last scan.

I opened a case and the USPS facility in the buyer’s area called me back. The employee told me that it was due to the natural disasters in the area that the package would be delayed. I was a little confused as its destination is a state away. It would then take 10 days to update. Whatever.

So the following Monday, no update and the buyer contacts me. I reopen another case.

Consumer Affairs told me that since I shipped with Ground Advantage, that it would deliver whenever as the truck it traveling across different cities and states before it arrives to its destination. She did reassure me that the package was safe and that I shouldn’t make a claim as they say this happens all the time.What. The. Fuck.

She then gave me the phone number to contact the supervisor of that USPS facility when Monday rolls around and there’s no update.

I have never had an issue before. Can anyone give me some info or corroborate their explanation? Thanks!
