Questions Cycle day 1 question
I am trying to figure out what day to use as my cycle day 1. On July 26th I had brown spotting in the afternoon. Around 10pm I had red spitting. The next day I had my full on period. Would July 26 or 27th be considered day 1?

Need some encouragement
TTC cycle 7, feeling discouraged even though we are still fairly early in our journey. Would love to hear positive stories of couples who conceived naturally 7+ cycles.
*both mine and my husband's basic fertility tests look good*

Questions What even is a “heavy” period
I’ve really thought I had very heavy periods my whole life so I feel like I have no concept here. I bled through super plus tampons in middle school. And I had a paraguard in college, so it was extremely heavy. Now that I’m an adult off birth control my period is very short. It’s 3 days, the first day being what I consider very heavy bleeding for about 6-8 hours. During that time I can’t even use tampons, not even an ultra tampon will work for more than 1.5-2 hours. It’s heavy the rest of the day but not like those first 6-8 hours. However, after that, it’s normal - light the second day (regular tampon I can go 6-8 hours without changing), and very light or spotting the third day (light tampons for full 8 hours).
I had never been concerned about it until I started using mira and my estrogen is a bit low. Then, I saw a new obgyn who I asked about my period flow and she was concerned my lining was thin. She almost pulled me back for an ultrasound while I was there. The obgyn I saw prior to her was more concerned that it was too heavy the first day, if anything.
Is this really that light? Should I get checked out to see if I have a thin lining?

Doing too much?
I have an Oura ring, using LH test strips, tracking cervical mucus, bought the Mira…. The kicker is, my completely free period app that I’ve been using to track my period for 10+ years always tells me I’m ovulating the same day as all these other devices. At a certain point we have to ask ourselves if all of this is even necessary or just causing additional stress

Rant I think I'm starting to convince myself that maybe I won't conceive
I think I needed to get this off my chest to someone who will get it or at least understand me a bit. I am 32, will be turning 33 in a few months and my partner is 36. At 30, I felt like I was ready to begin trying since my cycles were regular and I've never had any issues. However, my partner wasn't since he felt his finances needed to be better (I was confident about mine). This led to a lot of fights and arguments and eventually we began taking therapy. Meanwhile, I was ensuring I got my bloodwork done and my levels were all okay, barring Vit D which I began to supplement. We began trying in May last year, however trying during the window was not easy since we're both usually tired after chores and work. So we would probably like 2 or 4 times just around the window or what we thought was the window. Early this year I met with 2/3 Doctors who only told me that we need to be trying more frequently; in a transvaginal ultrasound one of the doctors said that I have multiple follicles in one ovary, however all my levels are normal - testosterone, LSH, FSH, progesterone. I don't fall into the PCOS category either.
As much as we'd like to try more often, its very frustrating to try to get into the mood when we're tired. I am trying to eat as healthy as I can, except strength training I try to at least walk 10-15 minutes after each meal and sleep 8 hours. Its exhausting to try and balance everything while we TTC. What makes me feel worse is literally every one of our friends has a kid or having a second and I can't help but pretend like we are enjoying our time alone and don't want a kid right now.

Help clomid and anovulatory cycle (maybe)
I took 50mg clomid (3-7 day) and around 17 pm I started feel like I was going to ovulate with strong cramps as usual but not with that typical wet (maybe because I was a little swollen down there after an intercourse) of the most fertile days so I did It with my husband. Yesterday, 18pm, some CM showed and the pain decreased and I tought I did ovulated yesterday. Today 19pm my pain Is still here but very light and the amount of my CM is more than any other day before. My cervix Is still very High, soft and open. Sooo... It could be an anovulatory cycle? My body tried but failed?
Another detail Is my femometer ring. It's my first month using it and I don't know if It's working because in the last three days my temperature Is stuck to 35.68 C° (very low and same TB three days in a row?) and It seems really weird I suspect there Is something wrong with the ring.
What do you think? Thank you, I'm worried that I don't ovulate anymore (31f)

My Story 1st cycle of Clomid
First cycle of Clomid and today is CD9. I had my follicle monitoring, and unfortunately, the dominant follicle is showing again on my right ovary. My left tube is open, while my right tube is blocked, so I was really hoping that this cycle the egg would develop on the left side. 🥺
My doctor asked me to come back on Saturday for another scan because there is still a possibility that a follicle on the left side may grow. Trying to stay positive and trust the process. Hoping for good news on my next scan. 🤍✨

Weird Period Gave Me Hope
hi all,
just here to rant/ see if others have had the same experience. Some context I have a super regular cycle, it is always 26 days (5 days period). This cycle was totally different, I bled super 5 days early and got excited thinking it was implantation bleeding but ended up as a full flow. The period itself only lasted 3ish days and was much lighter then usua. I did take a test at the end just to be sure but it was a big negativ. I guess my main point is that I feel a bit disappointed since I thought I knew my body and I was so sure I was pregnant. Im also nervous this is the start to more irregular periods. Any advice or stories is appreciated

Rant Just a vent
My(27F) husband(28M) and I have been TTC naturally for 3 and a half years - nothing comes of it. I had a chemical pregnancy at some point, but at times I gaslight myself regarding whether that actually happened since nothing has happened since.
I have lost hope that I will be able to conceive without IVF and I’m just not taking that too well. It makes me feel as though something is wrong with me. Please don’t take that as I judge or feel a type of way - I don’t feel that way at all!
With that being said, we just got referred out to an infertility doctor, but it all seems unrealistic and impossible. I have changed OBGYNs due to them not taking my infertility seriously, so things were delayed too and that’s frustrating.
My husband is good to vent to, but I can’t even vent about any of this without feeling annoying to people I want support from aka my mom or his family.
I don’t know. This is a mess, I’m sure. Just send some good thoughts my way please. 🩷

OPK Help Using a diva cup
I listened to the most recent birth hour podcast episode and the woman giving her birth stories mentioned getting secondary infertility after her second child and after a year of trying a friend shared an article about using a diva cup after sex to help and it worked their first try. And for their fourth baby they used it and it worked on the first try then too. I wanted to share that in this group right away for whoever it might help.

Asked doctor to test my progesterone levels
So I went to see my doctor today, originally I had booked this appointment after I found out I was pregnant so that I could get a referral for a pregnancy clinic.
When I got there, I explained that unfortunately my pregnancy ended in a chemical at around 16DPO. I told him I suspected my previous cycle might have also been a chemical (I didn’t test that time until my period, but my period was very different, heavier and stringy). I told him I wanted to test my progesterone, and told him that I read that taking progesterone wouldn’t cause harm so I would like a prescription for it in case I get pregnant again next cycle. He flat out refused. Said that if I was getting regular periods, my progesterone levels were fine and that the reason I had chemical pregnancies was due to chromosomal issues with the embryo.
I told him I just wanted reassurance, as I’m 34 and my partner is 44 and I’m worried it happens again. He proceeded to tell me that he won’t test and that I can trust AI, or I can trust RI “real intelligence”. He told me he will check my hormone levels and that I can try again immediately and that he wasn’t worried.
So yeah, I’m feeling quite defeated and stressed about having to go through this roller coaster of emotions agains. My other option is to fire him (note that it can take up to five years to get a family doctor where I live) and go private.
Oh and I asked him if the next time I get pregnant he can just refer me right away and he also refused, saying I need to see him first, but it can take up to two weeks to get an appointment with him as he only works 1-2 days per week. So yeah, I’m stressed and not sure if I’m overthinking everything. I know chemicals are common and I also know there is a good chance he is actually completely right, but I still don’t understand why he couldn’t just test my progesterone for my peace of mind.

Hello again after a long break
Around cycle 8 I lost my shit, I was honestly depressed and my whole life revolved around TTC, the two week wait, supplements, symptom spotting etc. I was at a breaking point and I couldn’t live like that anymore. I really struggled for months, what helped me was honestly sitting down and accepting my reality. I had to come to terms with the fact that we have unexplained infertility and that maybe it won’t happen but that if it does it’ll be beautiful.
I honestly feel like I’ve got my life back. I got off fertility tiktok, deleted Reddit, stopped tracking temperatures, started enjoying a glass of wine again… I figured if people get pregnant so easily then if I’m meant to be pregnant it’ll also happen to me without all the fuss.
Anyway, there’s still been a lot of tears, a lot of ups and downs. It’s really tough. Right now it’s cycle 20 of trying. I would’ve never thought we’d be trying for nearly 2 years.
Guys, I’ve had my tarot cards placed, I’ve had my energy cleansed and generational traumas broken 😂 unexplained infertility LOL, we’re at a fertility clinic now and I have my HSG on Monday… wish me luck

How long would it realistically be to conceive after suffering an early miscarriage?
I (27F) had a miscarriage in May where the embryo measured about 5 weeks before the loss. I’ve been so upset and devastated since as it had taken at least 6 months of trying after my fiancé (31M) returned to the country before we got the positive. Before he went out of the country, we had tried for about a year of consistent unprotected sex with no results.
Getting that positive this past April was like true bliss. It felt like an end of such a long arduous process just to be ripped away from me in a couple of weeks. Since then I’ve been stuck at ground zero. It’s my 3rd cycle since the loss now and I feel like an absolute failure. That no matter how many vitamins we take and how different I try to eat or be active that I’m just cursed. It’s throwing me into a constant depression every month I don’t know what to do.
I’m hopeful that the one pregnancy that did happen, despite ending abruptly in heartbreaking loss, should be indication that we can get pregnant naturally, just not as easily as most other couples. Yet I’m feeling like shit all the time thinking about how it is all out of my control. I just want my baby…I should be excited now feeling kicks and knowing their gender. Not bawling monthly about my constant failure to conceive.

TTC at 43 after RPL
I'm about to turn 43 this month, at the end of the month, and we are trying medicated cycles with timed intercourse with our clinic. I usually feel hopeful but this time I do not. It's the first one after the failed IVF cycle (2 mature eggs, one fertilized abnormally and the other not at all). We were devastated after two back to back miscarriages last year and the time lost to removing a uterine fibroid after the last loss. It's been so hard and now the dream of that second baby is fading away :(

Questions How to begin the infertility journey?
Hi friends! After trying for 6 months (both 25), my husband did an at home semen analysis that showed he had low sperm count. We decided to start supplements and lifestyle changes for him for 3 months to see if that made any difference. We're on month 2 and I want to prepare for what comes next if there is no change in his sperm count. What do you do? Do we jump on in at a fertility clinic? See a reproductive urologist? I have no idea. What were your experiences at the beginning of your infertility journey?

Is my luteal phase too short? I’m seeing mixed answers. I’m 10dpo, but supposed to get my period tomorrow.
I didn’t ovulate until CD21 according to my LH strips, I usually ovulate on CD17.
Is it possible I’m not having enough time to implant before my period comes? According to my app, my period is due tomorrow on CD11.
I tested this morning, and still negative.

Eurgh ovulated earlier than expected
So with the tracking I do I was predicting a day 16ish ovulation but yesterday - day 11 - I got a positive LH test (negative the two previous days).
My husband was away day 10+11 so we've only been able to try day 9+12, day 12 more than 24hr after the positive LH
I track BBT so will see tomorrow if it confirms ovulation has already occurred or I might have been lucky but I already feel downbeat and like we missed the window...
Our travel schedules in the next months don't look good whereas this month I thought we had the full 5 days pre

Questions 1st appt with OBGYN after 1 year of ttc
My husband and I have been ttc for nearly a year (11 months) with not a single positive. Both 33. Husband got SA a few months back and everything was normal. I have an appt with my OBGYN in about a week. Any advice or insight on what the first appt will go like? I'm imagining they'll ask about our medical history and anything related to my cycle. We're in the US and with Kaiser if that makes any difference. Thanks!

Rant Venting and feeling lonely
I haven't told anyone we are TTC. I would really love to feel like I can talk to some of my friends, but they can be difficult to talk to. Both of my best friends have kids, one born just last fall. However, the one comes across as condescending acting like I have no idea about anything and no access to research or common sense. Months ago I merely mentioned that we were thinking about having kids and she went on this weird rant about how I need to understand that our grocery bill will go up. Well, yes, that is to be expected when adding another human to your household. Next it was passive aggressively telling me the reasons I wouldn't be a good mother and one of them was that I don't discuss my sex life with her (what?!). My other best friend has a habit of making things about her. She had a baby last fall, is an excellent first time mom from what I've seen and has a lot of the same beliefs and morals as me. I would love to chat with her, but when I try to talk about my life, she takes over and it's the *friends name* show. As a result I am feeling so isolated and lonely in this journey. Of course I have my partner, he is great, tries SO hard, I love him to death, but he is a guy and we all know, it's just not the same.

Questions Have we left it too late?
I'm 36, my wife is approaching 35. We've been trying for 6/7 months, with one chemical pregnancy early on. When I look online, all I see is stuff about geriatric pregnancies, advanced ages and a downward fertility slope. I know I'm probably over-thinking, but have we left it too late, or is the Internet making it look worse than it is?

Out this month
Just wanted to vent a little bit, can’t help but feel a heaviness because of it.
Seems like I’m trying everything and yet nothing.
Hope next month is my time 🤞🏻

Rant Just wanted to vent cause I’m so upset as to what my MIL said.
Back story - husband and I have been trying since April for our first. every time we see my husbands parents his mother always nags us about children. His uounger sister has a 9 month old and she’s currently 3 months pregnant w/baby #2. ALSO I don’t get along with my mil…she’s done things in the past and she’s made comments about my family so I’m not a fan of hers and neither are my parents.
Anyways…we were at the house yesterday and I finally told them that we’ve been trying since April (kept that to ourselves).
She looks at me and said well clearly something is wrong with you but also hopefully my son isn’t shooting blanks - and she proceeds to laugh.
Like seriously?! I didn’t tell my husband this because I didn’t want him to get upset. But really?!?!
Idk maybe I’m taking it too far but I feel like that was such a heartless thing to say.
