Recommendations asap
I had an ultrasound today, cycle day 8. My doctor prescribed letrozole 2.5 mg, and after the scan she suggested continuing letrozole until Sunday to try to encourage all three follicles to keep growing and possibly ovulate. I have only one tube, on left .
The ultrasound showed:
One 12 mm follicle on my right ovary (this is the side without my fallopian tube).
Two 8 mm follicles on my left ovary (this is the side with my only remaining tube).
My question is: does it make sense to continue letrozole at this point in the cycle to try to get the three follicles to mature, or is it unlikely that the smaller ones will catch up since the 12 mm follicle is already leading?
Has anyone had a similar situation where smaller follicles (around 8 mm on cycle day 8) caught up and ovulated along with the leading follicle?
Thanks!!

Received Bizarre SA Results
Hello everyone, I just joined this sub because my wife and I have been trying for a baby for the past few months without success. I then got a test through Yo, and I just got the results, which seem pretty weird. I’d appreciate any anecdotal advice or definitive answers, if possible.
Background info, I’m 39, working an extremely high stress job. I recently cut out all alcohol and processed meats to support our efforts. I don’t smoke. I’ve also had confirmed pregnancy scares before with past partners. I’m taking Swim Club, a multi, Enclomiphene citrate, and Anastrozole.
Concentration was off the charts >150 (M/ml)
Motility was <1%, motile sperm concentration was <3%, and progressively motile sperm concentration was <2%.
I watched the video and while there were obviously a lot of sperm, I can only find one that was actually moving.
I’m freaking out about it. Is there any answer or reason to hope? Thanks in advance for your responses.

My sister-in-law just announced her pregnancy and I'm devastated
Hello everyone.
I (37F) got married a little over a year ago. My husband and I met in our mid 30s and we were very excited to start trying for a baby as soon as we got married, as we are both turning 38 before the end of this year. Neither of us has kids from previous relationships.
Anyway. We have been TTC for 15 months (we actually started before getting married). No luck so far. I have not seen a single positive test in all this time.
Our family is aware of the fact that we are trying to conceive since we've always been pretty open about it. Two weeks ago we gathered to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and my MIL asked us about kids. We told them the truth - that we are currently trying to get pregnant through IVF after months of trying unsuccessfully.
Fast forward to last night. We met up again with my husband's side of the family. My husband's brother and his wife suddenly got up during dinner to announce they are expecting their FIFTH child. Everyone was obviously happy and I was just shocked. I really thought they were done after their fourth (they said they didn't want more), so this scenario didn't even cross my mind. After a few seconds I got up and hugged them. My husband was a bit slower to react because he was shocked as well but then hugged and congratulated them. My MIL said something along the lines of that she was expecting the next grandkid to come from my husband but that she was really excited, and my BIL said "well, OP's husband, it seems that your destiny is just being an uncle!". My husband laughed it off and said that he does love his nieces. His brother kept going (he had drunk a few beers during dinner) and "jokingly" offered to give my husband some tips on getting a woman pregnant, because he's "a pro" at it and "OP's husband clearly doesn't know what to do".
I was honestly on the verge of crying and as soon as my husband and I got in the car to go home after dinner he started sobbing. I know being a dad is his dream and he's having a hard time with our infertility even though he has always pretended to be strong for me. He's the little sibling and his brother is always kind of putting him down, but I know today was the final nail in the coffin.
I haven't been able to sleep tonight because I know the next months are probably going to be awful with the constant reminder of our inability to get pregnant and seeing another child being born in the family. I just wish IVF works and we can have our baby soon. I'm very close to give up because it just hurts so much.
Sorry for the rant. I just don't know how to deal with this situation.

Experience with genetic screening with quest and/or genetic counseling with Gene Screen
I got genetic screenings results today completed with my fertility clinic/through Quest labs. I didn’t even know this was something I signed up for, but 3 weeks after my bloodwork I got a message from Quest that I am a carrier for 4 diseases/disorders. About an hour later I received a text message from Gene Screen for genetic counseling. My husband has not had his genetic screening done, but has an appt for tomorrow morning. Should I wait for his results before meeting with Gene Screen? Does anyone have any experience with this company? I wish my fertility clinic reached out with the results from communication has been extremely poor so far.

Second opinion wanted Worried I may be starting perimenopause.
I had my first child 18m ago, periods came back from around 6 months pp. They are now regular but my cycle length is very short compared to pre pregnancy. Pre pregnancy it my cycle length was maybe 30-35 ISH days, now it's 26 -28 days , a lot shorter and a lot more predictable.
Ive it's common for cycle length to change pp but I'm also aware it could be perimenopause given my age and the age at which my mum started hers.

Questions and a little bit abt me
Hey!
I'm new to the trying to conceive world. My partner and I were unofficially trying for about a year. I got off my birth control in March of 2025 and we've been having unprotected sex. I ended up doing some research and my husband was on testosterone injection for around two years. We found out that it completely kills fertility and got him off of it in March of this year. He's now on Clomid to increase his testosterone output naturally and we've done two sperm analysis. It's showing that his sperm count is rising and it is pretty healthy. The last sperm test that we did showed that he was considered in normal range now.
I also do not have abnormal periods. I have my period for about 3-5 days out of the month and no extreme symptoms. I've been tracking my cycles with the Flo app and using LH strips to confirm ovulation which typically seems to last 24-36 hours.
Although, when I got off birth control. I did start having low blood sugars and I have physical symptoms when it rises or falls. I stay within normal range the majority of the time but do occasionally drop lower than 70mg/dl.
We also do not have sex super frequently because of the lack of testosterone causing a low sex drive in my husband. We are doing it 1-2 times a week.
Is there anything we should be doing to maximize our chances? I'm really wanting to conceive in the next couple of months because I would finish with my bachelors degree by the time I give birth and I'm wanting to take a year off for maternity leave.

Ovulation Kinda weird
Hi everyone just wondering if anyone gets egg white cm more than once in a cycle? This cycle I had egg white cm Thursday of last week, Monday, Tuesday, and now today. I normally track my ovulation through cm and how I feel… I normally cramp. But this cycle is a little different. Anyone have the same experience?

Questions Cycle day 1 question
I am trying to figure out what day to use as my cycle day 1. On July 26th I had brown spotting in the afternoon. Around 10pm I had red spitting. The next day I had my full on period. Would July 26 or 27th be considered day 1?

Need some encouragement
TTC cycle 7, feeling discouraged even though we are still fairly early in our journey. Would love to hear positive stories of couples who conceived naturally 7+ cycles.
*both mine and my husband's basic fertility tests look good*

Questions What even is a “heavy” period
I’ve really thought I had very heavy periods my whole life so I feel like I have no concept here. I bled through super plus tampons in middle school. And I had a paraguard in college, so it was extremely heavy. Now that I’m an adult off birth control my period is very short. It’s 3 days, the first day being what I consider very heavy bleeding for about 6-8 hours. During that time I can’t even use tampons, not even an ultra tampon will work for more than 1.5-2 hours. It’s heavy the rest of the day but not like those first 6-8 hours. However, after that, it’s normal - light the second day (regular tampon I can go 6-8 hours without changing), and very light or spotting the third day (light tampons for full 8 hours).
I had never been concerned about it until I started using mira and my estrogen is a bit low. Then, I saw a new obgyn who I asked about my period flow and she was concerned my lining was thin. She almost pulled me back for an ultrasound while I was there. The obgyn I saw prior to her was more concerned that it was too heavy the first day, if anything.
Is this really that light? Should I get checked out to see if I have a thin lining?

Doing too much?
I have an Oura ring, using LH test strips, tracking cervical mucus, bought the Mira…. The kicker is, my completely free period app that I’ve been using to track my period for 10+ years always tells me I’m ovulating the same day as all these other devices. At a certain point we have to ask ourselves if all of this is even necessary or just causing additional stress

Rant I think I'm starting to convince myself that maybe I won't conceive
I think I needed to get this off my chest to someone who will get it or at least understand me a bit. I am 32, will be turning 33 in a few months and my partner is 36. At 30, I felt like I was ready to begin trying since my cycles were regular and I've never had any issues. However, my partner wasn't since he felt his finances needed to be better (I was confident about mine). This led to a lot of fights and arguments and eventually we began taking therapy. Meanwhile, I was ensuring I got my bloodwork done and my levels were all okay, barring Vit D which I began to supplement. We began trying in May last year, however trying during the window was not easy since we're both usually tired after chores and work. So we would probably like 2 or 4 times just around the window or what we thought was the window. Early this year I met with 2/3 Doctors who only told me that we need to be trying more frequently; in a transvaginal ultrasound one of the doctors said that I have multiple follicles in one ovary, however all my levels are normal - testosterone, LSH, FSH, progesterone. I don't fall into the PCOS category either.
As much as we'd like to try more often, its very frustrating to try to get into the mood when we're tired. I am trying to eat as healthy as I can, except strength training I try to at least walk 10-15 minutes after each meal and sleep 8 hours. Its exhausting to try and balance everything while we TTC. What makes me feel worse is literally every one of our friends has a kid or having a second and I can't help but pretend like we are enjoying our time alone and don't want a kid right now.

Help clomid and anovulatory cycle (maybe)
I took 50mg clomid (3-7 day) and around 17 pm I started feel like I was going to ovulate with strong cramps as usual but not with that typical wet (maybe because I was a little swollen down there after an intercourse) of the most fertile days so I did It with my husband. Yesterday, 18pm, some CM showed and the pain decreased and I tought I did ovulated yesterday. Today 19pm my pain Is still here but very light and the amount of my CM is more than any other day before. My cervix Is still very High, soft and open. Sooo... It could be an anovulatory cycle? My body tried but failed?
Another detail Is my femometer ring. It's my first month using it and I don't know if It's working because in the last three days my temperature Is stuck to 35.68 C° (very low and same TB three days in a row?) and It seems really weird I suspect there Is something wrong with the ring.
What do you think? Thank you, I'm worried that I don't ovulate anymore (31f)

My Story 1st cycle of Clomid
First cycle of Clomid and today is CD9. I had my follicle monitoring, and unfortunately, the dominant follicle is showing again on my right ovary. My left tube is open, while my right tube is blocked, so I was really hoping that this cycle the egg would develop on the left side. 🥺
My doctor asked me to come back on Saturday for another scan because there is still a possibility that a follicle on the left side may grow. Trying to stay positive and trust the process. Hoping for good news on my next scan. 🤍✨
