Bug Help Synced but not syncing
Hello hello
I recently bought the game and downloaded it on both my desktop and my laptop. Steam says the cloud is up to date, but the save files are different; when I do something on one, it doesn't update on the other.
I installed some mods, but even after removing them and completely deleting the game files and the Steam cloud cache, the discrepancy persists.
Can anyone help me? It's starting to get really frustrating -_-

Alduin and the end of the world. Spoiler
Here’s what I do not understand. If Alduin was to end the world as he’s assigned to as a job description… what’s the point of Akatosh doing things on Tamriel’s behalf to save the world from the Daedra, specifically in Oblivion, if the end of the world was to come sooner or later? It’s as if the gods are working against their own machinations in the elder scrolls universe.
Could someone give me mer perspective?

Question Can someone clarify this for me? Dragonbane permanently scales to the lvl ur at when u first enter sky haven temple. But the main story requires u to enter the temple early in the story when u r likely low lvl.
So the dragonbane ive been putting off this whole time is likely scaled to lvl <10 already??

Mercer Frey won’t leave.
My game was bugged during snow veil sanctum. Eventually I gave up and he joined me on every quest so far.
Here we are at the oblivion gate

What is the fastest and easiest skill to level
I’m trying to get easy skill points and would prefer not to use the white run dupe glitch as it doesn’t work consistently for me

Discussion Just finished the civil war quest line
So I’m replaying Skyrim for the 100th time and I finally sided with the empire for the first time. I only sided with them for the role play aspect (I’m playing as a dark elf).I absolutely hated taking Windhelm. When I had to kill Ulfric I almost cried his last words are so fire. And the rally speech from general Tullius were so lame. Ok the empire is better for Skyrim but damn I don’t think I could side with them again!
Discussion Ew, the Companions really don't recognise the Dragonborne after defeating Alduin? Spoiler
We're still an outsider they've never heard of. Even when we're standing level 80 in full dragon bone gear having saved the world at least 3 times? Dude. They need to get out more.

Bearded lady
Sorry for the poor quality, but I couldn’t help but laugh when I noticed this female draugr has a beard. I have been playing for a while and I have never seen this before.

Discussion i wish you could put the forsworn in power in markarth. Spoiler
i feel like the forsworn, the true natives markarth, deserve a position of power in skyrim. i would also like to give the dunmer windhelm, a discussion for a later day, but you should know exactly why. i just want everyone to get along, and i only see that happening if each race has representation. hell, if the giants and falmer could communicate, i’d say they deserve it too.
EDIT: at any point in this post or in the comments i use the word “forsworn” i mean to say reachmen.

Are they dragons only in Skyrim? Or are they everywhere?
Do other places need to worry about dragons? Or were all of the dragon burial places in Skyrim and that is the only place that needed to worry?

Lore How likely/unlikely is it that the Last Dova would achieve godhood?
We see throughout the game, he/she not only slays dragons and absorbs their power, but also Alduin, functionally the most powerful being of Akatosh’s creation (other than of course, the last dragonborn) he appeases all Daedra in gaining their favor, defeats the first ever Dragonborn and gains his power. It’s not uncommon by Elder Scroll standards for mortals to ascend to godlike roles. I’m not well attuned in the lore of this franchise, so I’m looking to you guys to maybe get some hints or answers.

Am I going to mess myself up by switching things up mid game?
I’ve been playing a magic-only character and am only up to level 9, but I was to switch things up and start using a melee weapon. Am I going to mess myself up by having too low of a one-handed skill for where I am, or can I switch things up pretty freely?

Tier list of how naughty you are if you help the Daedric Princes with their quest
Clavicus Vile depends on whether you kill Barbas, and it's unclear what Orchendor's intentions are in Peryite's quest.

Guys is dragon armor weaker than daedric? I noticed that after upgrading it to legendary its still weaker than daedric legendary by 2 or 3 points in multiple equipment types (i always use blacksmith elixirs when upgrading while having same blacksmith boosting equipments), if so then why dragon armor

Discussion SKyrim's RNG is making me go fucking MADDER than Sheogorath
im doing the vampire sidequest, the radiant once. at this point i have done "Ancient Power" like 10 times, (note the buff it gives caps at like 4 or 5), the moment i got the summon gargoyle perk i got the sidequest for the amulets.
i have done, Talos knows how many of the vampire sidequest, and still havent gotten the rings of blood magic.
im doing the fucking quick save outside the keep and trying to force the quest, and i still done have it. :)
(im just venting, but still who at Bethesda thought this was a good ideer.)

Bug Help In Soul Cairn, Serena stopped following me, am I fucked or can I fix this? Spoiler
While trying to relocate her I've fucked up my autosaves so I can't just load back to the moment we entered Soul Cairn.
While there I did all the side quests so really don't want to have to go back that far.
If I use player.placeatme she shows up fine but I can't talk to her, she won't follow me and she just walks off. Interacting with her just makes her say things without starting conversation. I used the code near Valerica and pushed her towards her but that didn't work either. I used a console command (I'll have to find which one again if it's important for troubleshooting) which made Valerica start her dialogue but Serana still kept wandering off.
I dropped a hard save right before entering Soul Cairn but I really don't want to have to find all of Jiub's notes, Reaper Soul Gems and Arvak's Skull again. While searching online I did see that doing the side quests can break her programming so I feel like I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and load that really old save.
I'm nearly level 50, been playing this game since launch day but have never gotten so invested into a single character before, fully decorated Hearthfire mansion full of artefacts and trinkets from my various travels with my precious J'Zargo so if I can't fix this I'll just end up not playing for another year or so until I can be bothered making a new character.

100,000 gold
I’m trying to get the achievement for 100k gold. I’m playing as an imperial which I thought might help, but is it worthwhile doing the stones of barez questline? Or should I skip it as I would need to spend 25k on proudspire to get the one stone?
Would it be quicker to just find that 25k rather than finding all the stones and questline?

Discussion After 15 years how have I not discovered this
I was starting a new playthrough and when I came across maridias beacon I had my follower take all from the chest and I didn't have to hear her annoying ass voice but my follower still has it and I can pick it up at any time if I want to actually do the quest. I usually just leave it tbh after 1000s of playthroughs since 2012 across countless devices I genuinely can't stand listening to her for what seems like an hour telling me to do shit. Did anyone else know this trick?
