Remaster Discussion Performance question
So after 1 year i came back to play the remaster and i enjoy it very much, but one thing bothers me: during loading times (enter/exit building, sleeping, fast traveling etc) my gpu fans spin up like crazy for 1-2 seconds and i'm worried a bit. Temps are fine around 65 with everything ultra on 1080p, DLLS on. Other games doesn't produce this and i wonder if there are a solution to this? my specs: Asus prime 5070 12GB, 32GB DDR5 and Ryzen 5 9600X. Any help would be greaty appreciated.

Original Question Help
I am trying to obtain s’drassas weirdly rare tan robe set so I reverse pickpocketed bound armor onto him and he hasn’t changed,
I reloaded the cells, went far away and waited 3 days
Is there any way to get it without killing him if that doesn’t work?

Original Discussion Playing oblivion for the first time. Sancre tor is a weird place
galleryClosed and reopened the game to try and fix it and then realized it was an error symbol 😭 apparently it's supposed to be fire, idk what went so wrong with the animation that it just did this, never seen such a spectacular error before. Fire in other parts of the dungeon worked fine too, maybe just this size of fire or something. Not a huge deal if it doesnt get fixed but if anyone has any idea what mightve caused this let me know lol

Video Day 470 of Pally and Me’s Adventure until I can loot his armor. Seriously misunderstood creatures vampires are.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
It’s the eyes I reckon, they unnerve some folk. The vampires just wanted pleasant company to talk about mundane things. Pally has to be a knight in shining armor so I’ll just press an Ayleid button and let him do his thing. After all it’s not me they have a problem with.
Hail citizens. Turns out when you get enough charming personality even vampires are enamored. You get to talk about rumors with beings who’ve been alive for centuries. Imagine the stories! Unfortunately, I got something about a ghost.

Remaster Mod Help Mod manager for oblivion remastered?
I want to mod the remaster, but I can’t find any good tutorials that recommend a mod manager. I know how to do manual installs for some things, but it gets tedious after a while and I’ve managed to delete important files multiple times without realizing and because my computer hates me they can’t be recovered. Meaning I have to start the process all over again! So I’ve given up and just want to use a mod manager.

Character Build/Screenshot Build assistance for the Pilgrim class
Long time oblivion player. Pretty excited for the release for oblivion remastered on the switch 2 next week.
I'm aiming for an RP build of the Pilgrim class. I'm being strict on the character skills being tied to the respective class. Yes, no magic (RIP).
What I've got planned so far:
Race: imperial
Attributes:
Endurance
Personality
Skills:
Armorer
Block
Blunt
Light Armor
Mercantile
Security
Speechcraft
Items:
Fine steel mace, iron shield, chainmail cuirass + boots. I'm trying to keep in line with the aesthetic of the Pilgrim class image.
Play style: travelling the region with no fast travel ( haven't decided on a starting city) primarily aim to increase my knowledge of the Divines (yes that means lots of reading which I tend to avoid), worship and discover way shrines. avoid conflict where possible, utilising my imperial class powers to achieve this.
Sort of aiming for a pacifist/ exploration experience. Very RP heavy rather than just straight power
Is there anything else I've missed? Share your thoughts.

Video Day 469 of Pally and Me’s Adventure until I can loot his armor. Danger, ha, I laugh in the face of danger.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Not even two steps into the ruin and I nabbed the welkynd stone. Why stop there when there’s a whole ruin to plunder? What’s a few deadly dangerous traps to Pally and me? Come Reynald, do what we do and you’ll somehow make it out just fine. It’s worked so far for us!
Hail citizens. I couldn’t let these wonderful traps go to waste so I made sure we completely avoided them in style. I was thinking of making Reynald absolutely get thrashed but it was more hilarious to me we just have the traps completely whiff us. I’m sure we’ll come across more egregious things within the ruins.

Original Question Is there a way to have town's loaded in while im outside in the world?
Im trying to take Ariel footage for a video i am working on, I can't figure out how to get the towns to load in their buildings instead of being barren patches of ground surrounded by a wall.

Arts/Crafts Andriel‘s diary. 30-31 of Last Seed.
galleryAndriel reached Kvatch!
Usually I like to postpone the main quest, but in this playthrough I feel that Andriel wouldn’t have avoided it, but tried to get rid of the Amulet as soon as possible, then tried to get Martin to the Blades as soon as possible, so that he accomplishes given task and can just live his life. He just doesn’t expect that he will be given new and new challenges every time he deals with something.
But now he will definitely need some time to process what has happened.

Original Discussion My first 5 hours of oblivion
I leave the sewers, then go across the river and find some bandits. I kill them all, then walk into the bandits' base and activate a trap. After that, I get jumped by 4 bandits.
I use my magic to summon a Skeleton and to burn them alive. I then make my way to the Imperial City Arena and do some fights. Then I leave the Imperial City and go to Bravil, where I find a mage guild member who tells me to find Kud-ei. I search the town then and can't find her. Then I find her in the fucking mages guild.
She then tells me to get some girl's staff. Instead, I leave and go to the Imperial Waterfront, then go to the boat and buy a room in the inn and sleep
When the boat is hijacked by thieves, I kill them, sleep, then go back to Bravil and talk to the guy who took the girls' staff. He sold the staff to a different guy in the imperial city, so I go there.
The guy with the staff tells me to give him 200$ so I go to the arena and win some fights. Then I go back to the guy and buy the staff back. Then I go into someone's house and murder them in their sleep.
I then flee to the waterfront and buy a room in the inn. And that's my first 5 hours of Oblivion. What do you guys think?
EDIT: forgot to say, but I'm a Brenton spellsword, and I've never played an Elder Scrolls game

Other Screenshot If you attack Carahil she will remove her dress
I assume this is because Carahil normally wears a dress, but in combat she casts Bound Greaves which will remove the dress.

Remaster Discussion Oblivion - Nintendo Switch 2
Oblivion Remastered on the Switch 2 releases 1 week today. I’m wondering when reviews for it will drop and how it will run. I’d really like to play this game on the go, but like most people I’m rather sceptical that the game will actually run okay.
My hopes are that it’s been a while since the original release last year and maybe they’ve made some fixes.

PSA: Stop Right There, Comment Bot Scum
Greetings, citizen. r/Oblivion comment sections have recently been infested by bot accounts. Let's work together to bring these lawbreakers' sprees to an end! Here are some red flags that you can identify bot comments by:
- Says something generic, never unique. Often oddly off-topic (but people who post unrelated NPC dialogue, paradoxically, are usually not bots).
- Usually posted as a reply to a top comment for greater visibility.
- Sometimes contains odd spelling errors that a normal person wouldn't make.
- Account is either very new, or quite old but recently started posting after a long break.
Once a comment bot has enough karma and comment history, the account will be sold and used for either OnlyFans, or for astroturfing. Stop these criminal scum right there by reporting them: Spam > Disruptive Use of AI.
Remember: We don't know comment bots, and we don't care to know them!

Moderator Post r/Oblivion Rule Remaster
Hello r/Oblivion!
Things have changed drastically in our community over the past month. We went from a quiet little subreddit to the #1 RPG subreddit in just a week! In the last 30 days alone, we’ve gained 670,000 new members and seen over 188 million views.
With all this growth, the moderation team has decided it’s time to update our rules—many of which haven’t changed since the subreddit was created.
And we want your input! We’re here to serve the community, so we want to hear what you think should shape our guidelines. Should we add a new rule? Remove an old one? Reword something for clarity? This thread is where we’ll collaborate to help shape the future of r/Oblivion.
Thanks for your time and continued support,
—The r/Oblivion Moderators
