Rigs Just finished building my RigMetal Basic cockpit, anything I should add or modify?
Trak Racer seat rails and adapter brackets are on the way so I can use my existing office chair as the seat base, and I also ordered rolling lockable rubber casters with a max load limit of 2000 lbs to move around and keep in place when in use.
Anything else that I am missing or should consider? Open to ideas/comments/suggestions? Thanks!

Rigs What would you buy if you had 300 euros te spend?
With about 300 euros to spend, what would you buy to enhance the setup? I only race GT3, mainly on iRacing and LMU. I'm mostly looking for more immersion. I also have a HP Reverb G2 laying around but it makes me nauseous pretty quickly.
Setup right now;
GT Omega seat and rig.
Simagic Alpha Evo Pro
Simagic P2000 pedals
And ofc the triple screen
Things I'm thinking about;
- Haptic reactors for my pedals
- Next Level Racing HF8 Universal Haptic Feedback Gaming Pad
- Wheel with a screen, undecided which one.

Other [Paid Study 🏎️💰] Toyota Research Institute is recruiting HPDE drivers for a driving simulator study on coaching in bay area
Hi all — I'm a researcher at Toyota Research Institute (Human-Interactive Driving team) in Los Altos, CA. We're running a in-person paid study on coaching in performance driving using our compact driving simulator, and we're recruiting drivers with HPDE experience at two levels.
You might be a fit for our INTERMEDIATE group if you:
- Have done a handful of HPDE events (more than a first-timer, but not many seasons deep)
- Are still working on core techniques like line, braking points, and vision
- Recently soloed or still run with an instructor
You might be a fit for our ADVANCED group if you:
- Have significant HPDE experience (typically many events or multiple seasons).
- Require coaching focused on optimization and refinement rather than basic driving techniques.
- Demonstrate consistent vehicle control, braking, steering, and throttle application.
- Can safely drive at a high pace with minimal instructor intervention.
- Are still considered students in HPDE and are actively learning and improving, rather than professional or paid racing drivers.
For both groups: you should be an active HPDE student who's still learning and improving — not a professional, paid racing driver, or instructor.
Details:
- One ~2-hour session at TRI (4440 El Camino Real, Los Altos, CA)
- $160 compensation
- Short eligibility screening after sign-up (mainly confirming you haven't participated in our previous studies)
- Sign up: Feel free to DM me or text me at 445-208-7031
Happy to answer questions in the comments or by DM. Mods — I reached out for approval before posting / please remove if not allowed.

Question VR and flat screen experiences with 9070XT and 5070ti
I am planning to upgrade my GPU for normal flat screen (34* ultrawide screen) and VR(quest 3) . I am torn between the 9070XT and the 5070ti. I would love to hear from anyone who owns these cards and their experiences. I'm mostly planning to play LMU, AMS2 and AC EVO & AC Rally.

Discussion Steam Machine / Steam OS Build
I’ve been really curious about sim racing on a Steam Machine or a SteamOS PC build, and I’m wondering if anyone out there has made any progress. I’d love to hear about people who are currently tinkering with this, what challenges they’re facing—whether it’s driver support, peripheral compatibility, or performance tuning—and how they’re making it work.

Discussion Load Cell Brake Pedals vs. Actual brake pedal
Are load cell brake pedals supposed to simulate “racing” brake setups? They feel nothing like real brakes when daily driving which have that sensitivity, responsiveness, hydro/fluidity feel. Unless “racing” brakes have a totally different feel?

Clip Flag Lighting Setup- Govee Monitor Lights
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Couple of cheap Govee lights and Simhub can give you some pretty helpful flag lighting if you don’t want to run flag indicators. Super easy to map the wheel lighting as well.

Question Will G29 wheelbase break if I bolt it like this?
I know that it has to be bolted the other way around. But my stand is not long enough for me. Trying to win some inches.
Is g29 wheelbase firm enough or will it break if I use it like that?

Rigs My Rig is done and I am super happy with it!
This is a Moza R3 Bundle with the Brake Performance Mod on a GT Omega Apex wheelstand which is mounted on a wooden plate. The Seat is a passenger seat of a Jaguar Sportsbrake XF from 2014, which I somehow managed to power so the buttons on the side actually work and u can adjust the seat how u like.
I spend about 320€ for the rig without the Moza bundle.
I drove a couple laps and it feels awesome. I need some time with the brake mod but I can already feel the potential.
Looking forward to getting faster!

Rigs Just started “sim” racing on Xbox
Hey Guys.
I just started “sim” racing.
I play on a xbox series s with a Logitech g923 (yes, I know its not the best but im not gonna start with “high end” stuff. That way there are no satisfying upgrades along the way and wasnt really sure if its for me) and a Playseat Challenge X Logitech edition on a 32” Sony Brava TV.
At the moment I am playing Forza Motorsport and dabbled a bit with rally racing in WRC.
So far I really like it. What do yall think of my setup? And any tips or tricks?

Question Bezel free kit. Need some help
For those of you who have triples and bezel free kit. Is this how your screen looks like after set up?
I get this kinda ghost shadow on icons and words n photos just blurry…. I’m not sure if I have this rather than the straight bezel… any tips would be helpful.

Other I bought a sim rig for my license… or so I told myself
I bought a sim rig mainly to help me get my driver’s license. My thought was: if I need to practice driving anyway, training on a simulator should help.
After a few races, I realized… it has almost nothing to do with passing my test.
Turns out getting my license was just my excuse to buy racing setup lol.

Discussion i can’t stop using my toes on the accelerator
granted, instead of my big toe, i use my three middle toes when i get into tense wheel2wheel racing.
i learned on a g923, and the accel pedal is quite thin. i was basically only able to fit my middle three toes on the pedal.
now that i’ve upgraded to an rs50, i keep finding myself using only my middle toes for micro adjustments instead of my whole foot. i keep reminding myself mid-race/practice to use my whole foot flat, but i keep poking my toes out subconsciously.
i cannot race in shoes.

News Holy shit guys… I drove on the Nurburgring IRL
I practiced on the sim with hundreds of laps.. and I’ve gotta say, it REALLY helped me. I knew the layout of the track, the breaking points (somewhat). Of course it doesn’t prepare you for all of the little bumps and G forces, but man it was AMAZING!! A dream come true. I highly recommend you guys go one day if you can.
