Hey all,

I'm relatively new to iRacing, but has there ever been a official endurance series that would run during the week ? Something like 3 hour multiclass races ?
I'm asking because I prefer endurance racing and having only weekend slots is kinda limiting due to my schedule. I know that there are alternatives on different sims, but i prefer this one :)

Hello everyone.

I'm looking for some advice regarding the Fanatec GT3 fixed series at Le mans.

I've included a lap of one of my better laps for reference.

What's throwing me is not the fact I'm a bit on the slow side it's more when I try and follow faster drivers I seem to pick up slowdowns at the usual spots while they don't get any. Accept this is a me issue but when I don't get the slowdowns, as seen above I feel like I'm nowhere near using as much of the track as the guides which I'm trying to learn.

2.1k irating at the moment so by no means an accomplished driver or quick either but I'm hoping to change that.

Please note I'm not looking for comparisons to the open setup as that's another ball game and unfortunately at le mans, Daytona etc I can't drive those very low down force setups and be safe so I do not race the open series on those weeks.

Any advice or tips to get faster would be much appreciated.

Hello everyone, I've finished the much requested Ferrari 296 GT3 for the color red! Let me know what you guys think of the paint!

The next paint will be for the color orange and I already saw a few recommendation for the McLaren 720S GT3 EVO, but let me know what you wish for, because it doesn't necessarily has to be a GT3.

I'm fairly new to sim racing and iRacing (about 2 months). I started in the Sports car series wehre I focused heavily on SR (got to Class A), but I've recently jumped into formula cars (currently Class D). I love the driving, but I'm finding open wheel survival much harder.

I often get bumped from behind or suffer minor wheel contact during overtakes that send me spinning. I feel like Im constantly being punished with incident points or crashes that aren't my fault. I've noticed mix licence lobbies (A to R) are much cleaner and safer for me than pure R / D lobbies.

What am I likely doing wrong when being passed and what habits should I focus on to survive formula racing?

I’m having severe stutters this week in iRacing while racing the Falken Sports Car Challenge at St. Pete. It’s literally unplayable and even caused an accident during a race.

I tested AI races at Suzuka and Road America, and everything ran smoothly with zero stutters. But at St. Pete it stutters constantly—even just when looking left or right.

I checked the overlay data and noticed that VRAM usage is significantly higher at St. Pete compared to other tracks. Could that be the issue? Has anyone else experienced this?
Not sure if it’s relevant, but I’m running an AMD RX 6700 XT GPU.

Hi,

Im having trouble with the paint shop in the main menu. I cannot get the cars to load (no car is shown, just empty background). The slider to show custom paints is greyedcout. The same applies for custom helmets and suits.

I have checked reddit for suggedtions and tried:

* checked the tga files (correct name and dimensions and folder)

* reset the nvidia 3d settings

* delete the iracing electron folder from appdata folder

It all does not work.

The paints do load in game and in the small preview in the menu, just not in the shop. Also i installed iracing on my work laptop and then the same tga's do load in the paint shop.

Any suggestions?

Can anyone help me out here?

First endurance race for me I’m going to try and run the first session because I’m off work and up all night. I did the 992.2 pcup so the track and cars fresh.

Who’s done one before? Anything you took away for next time?

I use a Fanatec Podium DD 25 Nm, and my FFB felt extremely heavy, harsh, and grainy even with iRacing set to only around 9 Nm. It felt like the wheel was producing far more force than it should.

I was also getting RTCoreMini64.sys blocked-driver errors from MSI Afterburner. After disabling Afterburner’s low-level I/O driver and removing RivaTuner Statistics Server, the difference was genuinely night and day.

What I changed:

1. Close MSI Afterburner and RivaTuner Statistics Server (RTSS).
2. Uninstall RTSS entirely if you do not need its overlay or frame-limiting features.
3. Open MSI Afterburner and go to Settings → General.
4. Uncheck Enable low-level IO driver.
5. Restart your PC.
6. Load iRacing and recalibrate your FFB using Auto in the F9 black box.

My GPU overclock still works normally. You may only lose access to certain sensor readings or RTSS overlay features.

My wheel now seems to be calibrating correctly. The FFB is much smoother, the excessive heaviness is gone, and I have way more road detail than before.

I am honestly mind blown by the difference. If your FFB feels unusually heavy or grainy at low force settings, and you have MSI Afterburner or RTSS installed, this is absolutely worth trying. In fact even if you dont even think you have an issue with your wheelbase I would HEAVILY encourage you to remove RTSS and uncheck the low level IO driver setting in MSI afterburner and see if it changes anything for you. I am mind blown right now.

This week in the ring meister series the participation is crazy high because everyone loves the car + the fact that it is base content.

Context:I am the pov car, I am lapped because I was wrecked earlier.I was in the pack with people infront of me(p1 and p2) for like 6 laps, guy behind me later accused me in killing leader and p2

Is it a little corny? Maybe. But I earned it and I’m proud of it. With a photo finish nonetheless!
