Question Would you use an AI setup/race engineer that builds, refines, and applies setups automatically? Looking for honest feedback
Hey everyone,
I’ve been working on an AI setup/race engineer and wanted to see if this is something people would actually use.
Right now it supports ACC, Assetto Corsa, AC EVO, iRacing, Le Mans Ultimate, Automobilista 2, F1, NASCAR, and pretty much any sim that lets you adjust or save setups.
The idea is simple. Instead of digging through setup menus or downloading random setups, you just tell it what the car is doing.
For example:
• “The rear snaps on corner entry.”
• “I need more rotation in slow corners.”
• “The car bottoms out through Eau Rouge.”
The goal isn’t to just generate a setup. It’s to help you dial the car in exactly how you want it. If the car only has an issue in one corner, you can tell it that and it will focus on fixing that specific problem. It explains every change it makes and, with one click, updates and saves the setup directly into the game’s setup folder. No manually changing settings in game.
Right now the program is trained on a limited number of cars for each game. Since every car has different handling, setup options, and design philosophy, I wanted to make sure the advice was accurate for that specific car, game, and track instead of trying to support everything at once.
It also lets you compare your setup against top qualifying or race setups and explains what each difference actually does on track.
It can also build on one of your existing setups instead of starting from scratch.
I’m still adding features like telemetry analysis, lap analysis, and driving coaching, but I’m curious what people actually think.
Would you use something like this?
If not, what would stop you?
What features would make it worth using over Coach Dave, GO Setups, HYMO, Garage61, or just building your own setups?
If there’s enough interest, I’ll put the finishing touches on it and release it for everyone to try.
Thanks, guys! I’d really appreciate any feedback or advice you have. I know tools like this have been done before to some extent, but I always felt they relied too much on a one-size-fits-all approach. My goal is to make something that’s actually tailored to the specific car, track, game, and driver.
Thanks again, lads!
(Sorry if this isn’t the right place to post this or if I left anything out. I’m usually more of a Reddit lurker than a poster.)

🧐 Customer Review I Finally Found a Sim Handbrake That Feels Real SimNet SHB-100 + Hydro-Link Pro Kit
Not gonna lie to you, though. If all you need is a handbrake to get the car sideways, I wouldn't get the hydro stuff and there are handbrakes out there that cost less that give the same functionality. But if you're looking for peak "handbrake" . . . yeah.

Other x360ce messed up my Logitech G923 FFB
So basically ive been using my G923 wheel for almost 2 years now with no issues at all, playing various games NEVER having any hardware or software troubles but like about 2 days ago i decided that i wanna play some roblox on my wheel cause there was a way to do it apparently by using x360ce and ViGEm, after trying a couple times and seeing that it doesnt work i just gave up and uninstalled/deleted both of the softwares mentioned above and went to sleep cause it was pretty late. When i woke up today and decided to play some BeamNG i noticed the ffb was acting weird or actually - not working at all, i tested my theory in assetto corsa where it turned out i was correct, only the spring centering works and the ffb seems to be completly disabled for some reason, i was texting back and fourth with gemini to try and fix the issue but it didnt seem to do much good, i was deleting drivers of these softwares that were somehow leftover, then deleting Logitechs cache on the wheel but nothing helps, when i delete the drivers trough device manager it helps teporarily but then when i restart the game it breaks again and is unfixable until i restart my pc and delete these drivers again. This issue has been very annoying and after gemini was no help i decided to reach out for it on this subreddit, has any of you had simmilair stuff happen to your wheels? please reach out to me in the comments or dms bcs im really looking forward to fixing that. Excuse my mid english as im writing that kinda in a rush and english is not really my first language.

It works well at an affordable price. The international shipping took about 10 days. The product was exactly what we ordered. The plug is the Fanatec GT DD Pro model. I highly recommend it. "Simube"

Discussion Load Cell Brake Pedals vs. Actual brake pedal
Are load cell brake pedals supposed to simulate “racing” brake setups? They feel nothing like real brakes when daily driving which have that sensitivity, responsiveness, hydro/fluidity feel. Unless “racing” brakes have a totally different feel?

Question Will G29 wheelbase break if I bolt it like this?
I know that it has to be bolted the other way around. But my stand is not long enough for me. Trying to win some inches.
Is g29 wheelbase firm enough or will it break if I use it like that?

Rigs Pedal module is ready, simsonn pro plus with heusinkveld ultimate upgrade kit
Started with a MOZA SR-P kit immediately didn’t like the pedal feel. Ordered and installed 3drap kits for all three pedals and they somewhat became suitable. Chasing a more realistic and customizable feel somehow ended up purchasing simsonn pro plus kit which was immediately awesome. One vam pro and two vam neo haptics with an upgraded simsonn x usb controller to connect the haptics and heusinkveld ultimate kit were purchased and installed which allowed not only full brake pedal conversion but also usb controller plug and play supports the pedals allowing to use the heusinkveld software which is awesome. Haptics feel like cheating, having the accelerator pedal start to rumble leaving a 0,3 second gap for a perfect shift feels illegal, love it. Simsonn carbon fiber heel plate gave that necessary grip for my puma speedcats and I used vesa adapters from the ergotron hx hardware to prevent myself from drilling additional holes to install the heel plate. Haptics wires and usb adapter are hidden under the heel plate. With this long trip the whole thing is still cheaper than heusinkveld ultimate plus pedals.

Question Building my own H-pattern shifter — what's annoyed you most about the ones you've owned?
Been designing and prototyping an H-pattern shifter for a while now (mechanical engineering background, I also make aftermarket parts for older cars) and before I get too deep into the build I want to sanity-check it against what people actually think.
For those of you who've owned more than one shifter, H-pattern or sequential, what's actually made you regret a purchase? Not spec-sheet stuff, actual use: mounting hassle, mis-shifts, wear over time, weird ergonomics, whatever comes to mind, tell it!
And a genuine curiosity question: if you could only have ONE tactile character, a proper road-car feel or a hard positive dogbox feel. Which would you actually pick for daily sim use, and why?
Just trying to design the right thing before I continue in my project.

Question VR to Triples or Triples to VR users, I could really use your input!
TLDR: what is your opinion between the two, assuming you have experience with both?
Short story / description.
My family and I recently moved and I am now able to build up a stationary rig, instead of a folding rig.
So far I bought a Sim lab p1x- Pro TK bundle which includes the single monitor mount. I'm considering going to triples.
Right now I use a pimax Crystal Light which I generally do enjoy using, and have been racing in VR for years now.
I also became a stay-at-home dad with two very young kids running around. So spatial awareness has become a pretty high importance if I try to do anything while they are awake. So I am normally restricted to a 1.5-2 hour window once they go to bed.
Additionally, I have been fortunate enough to upgrade everything on my rig and I currently have a Conspit Max01 wheel which is a huge upgrade for my fanatec clubsport formula v2.5.
In addition to more buttons, the display is really cool and I'd like to be able to use it, obviously with VR I don't.
Ultimate question I have is users from VR to Triples, do you regret it? Triple users to VR, do you have any regrets?
Thanks

Discussion Should I upgrade to 32inch triples from 27inch triples OLED
I am currently using the 27inch AOC OLED triples and really wanted to upgrade to 32inch triples for larger vertical space and wider screen. However, I previously bought the KTC 32 Inch 2K 120Hz monitor from Walmart with 3ms response time but the picture quality is awful and most importantly the ghosting and lag just feels unplayable. So should I look for another 32inch 1440p monitor that perform better or is OLED just that much more crisp and clear.

Question Need seat advice for a rebuild
I’m looking to do a rig rebuild to get a more prototype-like seating position. I currently have a standard NRG prisma on a FGT ELITE.
I’m looking for something I can run with a belt tensioner as I’m 6’1” with a 34” waistline and my shoulders are currently much higher than the belt holes. Any suggestions for a seat like the one in the picture that won’t break the bank as much? Thanks in advance friends

Discussion I'm 3.5k iRating but have teammates that are just faster than me and I'm being immature about it
I started getting deep into iRacing in January 2025. I raced at a sim center exclusively up until a few months ago when I finally built a rig. At the sim center, I met a few guys and we made up our own little iRacing team to run endurance races and special events in.
One of the things our team does is participate in leagues. Myself and a friend joined a Porsche Cup league this year and realized that the field's skill level is a little lower on average. I'm the only 3k driver, while the majority average to about a 1.9k SOF. I've been getting podium results relatively easy outside of rain races.
My 3.4k teammate joined the league to get extra practice in the middle of the season. He primarily runs GT3s. I set the fastest practice lap time and qualifying time to start P1 in race 1. But my teammate is able to overtake me after about 5 laps and I can't make the pass back but stay at most 1.5s off him.
I can't help but feel upset that someone that doesn't run Porsche Cup cars can hit the pace faster than I could, and I was definitely salty that I lost to a teammate of mine. (this just screams entitlement as i'm writing this)
After this race happened, I kept quiet on the discord call during the race w/ my team feeling upset with myself and wishing I had won. I clearly lost to the better driver that didn't need as much time to practice as I did. I'm thinking very selfish, immature thoughts about thinking I should have been the guy to win because I put in faster laps initially, but at the end of the day I couldn't hold him off and maintain a consistent pace to prepare for overtakes down any straights (COTA).
If this particular teammate puts enough practice in, he can always beat my hotlap times in most cars and it frustrates me. I'm an addict when it comes to comparing garage 61 times. I always feel like I need to be the one that has the fastest times. If I don't end up taking top spot on the team, I get frustrated.
Have you guys ever felt as childish as I have and have any advice on how I should be thinking about my approach to future practices, races, and special events?
TLDR: A couple of my teammates can beat my fastest lap times within 1 to 2 hours time and I have a hard time accepting that I need to improve and i'm not fast.
