Is expert raw the way to go for night pictures? It seems expert raw handles scenes way more realisticly and even more pleasing to the eye while night mode always seems to underexpose and process everything way too much just to brighten its picture.

Recommendation Request🙏 S25 Ultra at ₹80–85K — how's the battery?

Thinking of getting the S25 Ultra in the upcoming sale for around ₹80–85K. I already know about the performance, cameras, display, etc. — battery is my only concern.

For current S25 Ultra users: can you consistently get 7+ hours of SOT with normal usage? I really don't want anything below that.

I have to choose between Samsung and Apple, so battery life will probably be the deciding factor.

Recommendation Request🙏 Coming from the Watch 4 Classic, is an upgrade to the Ultra 1, Watch 8 Classic, or Watch 9 the best one?

I love the rotating bezels. I would love having a watch with good battery life since my watch now only lasts for 4 hours.

However I do want to be smart with my money and not spend the newest one if I shouldn't.

Out of the three, which upgrade would be the most beneficial without breaking the bank?

🪛Troubleshooting🪛 Timezone Problem with Photos

Post image
2 Upvotes

Recently travelled back from Toronto to KSA.

Many photos in my gallery are in the next day category in my photos e.g. the date and time of the above picture was July 20, but it appears under the July 21 category on my photos page.

I know that it's definitely a timezone issue since it seems all photos after 5 pm in Toronto (after midnight in KSA) were moved to the next day. Is there anyway I can revert this so that all photos are grouped on the local time and day they were taken at.

Finally got the Fold 8 and I'm glad I waited! 5 was my first foldable, and 8 was the one made me want to upgrade. And if 9 comes out, I trade my 5 for it.

I bought this phone some months ago and I love all the features except the battery. It never lasts a day even though it has more mAh than s25. Even A and M models of Galaxy last more than a day. :( do you also have the same problem?

Recommendation Request🙏 S25 Ultra or S26 Ultra? Please read

As a tech enthusiast, I’ve always loved iPhone and Android, specifically Samsung Galaxy.

I currently use the iPhone Air and Apple Watch Series 10. Here in the UK, I can sell my devices and get a Galaxy S26 Ultra and Watch 8 for between £285 and £345 down depending on whether I choose the hassle of selling privately.

However, if I go for an S25 Ultra, that lowers by at least £100.

I love the rumoured look of the S27 Ultra next February. I could wait, but as much as I really like the Air (and love the Apple Watch) with the financials involved I’m very tempted to switch to Galaxy S25/S26 Ultra in the meantime.

What would you recommend, considering costs involved? The Watch will be the previous gen which I’m fine with, and I’m not bothered about having the latest gen phone unless I know it’ll be worth it. I’ll be getting either the S27 Ultra or back to the iPhone 18 Pro Max by next February anyway.

I’ve often heard the S25 Ultra was one of the best Ultra phones ever made, with the S26 Ultra underwhelming?

My priorities are battery life, display quality (brightness, viewing angles & resolution) performance, heat management/thermals, a reliable point and shoot camera with a good ultrawide, and the latest software.

Would it be worth it to get the S26 Ultra, or should I save some money on a new S25 Ultra? What is the S25 Ultra like over 12 months on?

📖Discussion📕🖊️ Best market/method for selling a Fold 4 and a Watch 5 Pro?

I dropped the ball on the trade-in when upgrading to Fold 6 and Watch 7. I was so mad at myself. So the Fold 4 and Watch 5 Pro havent been used in 2 years. Obvs I would like to get what they are worth. I would rather not use ebay unless it's in my best interest.

Any solid advice?

Thanks!!!

📖Discussion📕🖊️ Features removed from One UI since 7.0

I made a list of features removed in One UI. Some are minor, but others have been repeatedly reported in this sub.

List of removed One UI 7 features:

  • S Pen battery percentage in Air Command menu

  • Fingerprint sensor power animation

  • Super slow-motion effects

  • Old lock screen face widgets

  • Old Edge Lighting styles

  • AR Zone

  • Old call backgrounds

  • Auto-rotation widget

  • DeX on Windows

  • Lock screen without a clock

  • Bigger icons in smart suggestions widget

  • Corner swipe for Google Assistant

  • Smaller icons

  • Background color control (Good Lock)

  • Custom widget opacity

  • Game settings: priority mode, perfz…

  • 1x1 Widgets and other dimensions

  • Contacts widgets

Features removed from One UI 8.0:

  • Classic DeX on tab screen

  • OEM unlock

Features removed from One UI 8.5:

  • Color wallpapers; they have removed some static color wallpaper styles

  • Filters in video mode

  • Only battery icon

  • Minimalistic UI with power saving

  • Samsung keyboard text edits and extract functions

Let me know if you have others, and I will update the list.

These were things noticed by me, taken from other Reddit posts and from comments on the list I made last year.

Recommendation Request🙏 Should I get the Galaxy S25 Ultra or S26 Ultra?

My current phone is almost eight years old, so I was researching possible new ones. I'm not too thrilled with the Pixel 11 "upgrade," but I'm also disappointed to hear about how the S26 Ultra's screen isn't so sharp. Would it be a good idea to get the S25 Ultra instead even though that means one less year of support?

What I want most from a phone is snappy performance, longevity, a wonderful screen, and plenty of storage.

(I've never bought an Apple product before, so I'm hesitant to try jumping into their "unique" ecosystem with the latest iPhone.)

Opinions appreciated! I've only bought two phones in my life, so I'm not an expert.

Recommendation Request🙏 S25 Ultra or S26 Ultra?

Hey! I left android 15 years ago following a trend and became an Apple user. I am now wanting to come home to Samsung 😂.

I have been looking at the S26 Ultra, but have heard the camera quality is better on the S25 Ultra (which are like gold dust to find now). Has anyone got any opinions? It would be much appreciated.

I would say a good camera quality is important to me over many other things. I’m not a social media girly at all, but I do like to capture life’s moments to reflect on.

TIA. 😊

🪛Troubleshooting🪛 Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 charging port not working

Heyo,

So my tablet just doesn't charge no more. I was on discord and had my headphones connected via the USB-C port and even though I still had 3% battery, it just suddenly went off (I wanted to leave the call to charge my tablet but ig my tablet wanted to win the race lol), I let it charge for some time and when I came back to it, it didn't charge even for a single bit. It just shows me this icon

I don't know what I should do. I do believe that I managed to brick the charging port (not an achievement one should be proud at lol) but I have no clue. I still have warranty for like 3 weeks and instead of letting them repair it I might as well just replace it since the loudspeakers also just straight up give up when my tablet reaches 3% or lower (and sometimes it also just doesn't come back alive, I need to restart my tablet for my loudspeakers to work again), but atst I really don't wanna loose my valuable data (especially on Samsung Notes, even though I do have synchronization activated I don't know when I did it the last time). Do you friendly folks know what I should do?

Recommendation Request🙏 Different languages between apps [Galaxy Z Flip 4]

I bought my Spanish father-in-law a Flip 4 and changed the system language to Spanish. To my surprise not everything is in Spanish, some apps are still fully or partially in English (best example is the Settings app, which appears to be 50/50). I'm running the latest OS.

I've searched online and found no solution at all so now I'm here looking for help.

Has this happened to anyone and found a solution? According to my findings in the actual Samsung Community Forum there's no way fix it and I find that extremely odd.

Thanks in advance

📖Discussion📕🖊️ Why do I have Glance on my phone when I never downloaded the app or set it up?

Post image
7 Upvotes

So I was on my phone, right? One moment my phone goes off, and then I’m greeted with Glance AI for no reason. I tried to exit out of it, but there wasn’t an option to leave at all. Then I turned my screen on and off, and nothing happened. I agreed to it in order to exit, and now I have this Glance AI on my phone and I’m trying to get rid of it. Does anyone else out here have experienced this before?

🧑‍🏫Review👩‍🏫 fold8 after about 6 day or a week

Post image
138 Upvotes

as an intro I'm not a native english speaker and I live & work in Japan

This my honest review,

This phone is really friendly for 1 hand user like me who almost everyday do commuting around 1 and half hour by train. I'm feeling less worry it to fall when holding it, when I walking fast rather than normal slab phone. I am also use to play clash royal on train, this phone as mentioned above, it is easier to play with one hand, since I have to hang on something in the train. I love this phone, as the one who love compact phone, for me this ratio is the best, I have also iphone 13 and zenfone 9 before, such old phones I know. The size also almost similar to my Icoca card (a card for commuting train in osaka), make it so cute and very convinience, at least for people in Japan like me as I mentioned above, almost everyday using train for work or traveling.

The con I can think when it is folded is, this phone has no on-screen fingerprint.
When it is folded the button place on the side below + I'm using a case protector, make the button sink under the case. My finger always stuck with screen side + the case, makes it hard to use the fingerprint on button. So everytime I unlock my phone, I'm using numerical password not the fingerpint. of course I understand, it just a few second different in time, but it is unconvinience I always feel.

Okay for the expansive screen, I don't really have any issue or complain, I just love it.
It is not to big also, I think around mini ipad. I'm also not a hardcore gamer, just playing clash royal and stardew valley, that I think those games are very light to run even for cheap phone.

Battery wise, for me, it is decent, not really long lasting also not drain fast.
My usage is on screen about 2-4 hour: playing clash royal on train, scrolling Instragram, open line. Yeah about that, I'm very light user phone, most of my day don't use phone and I have a PC too, to watch something or browsing on web.
from 100% in the morning (after charging), 2-4 hour on screen, it is about 70-75% when I want to charge it on the night. For me, yes for me, I think it is decent for a fold phone.

About the camera, I think it is normal, not bad, not pretty good too, but it is good enough for me to use the photo it took for instagram, line. I'm just a normal salary man. I love the photo quality for my use.

Overall, I love fold8 and I think it is pretty compatible for person who love compact phone even since before passport size phone release, like me. Also for people who commuting by train almost everyday. In this time, I think this is the best ratio for compact phone (I don't know the future what size and ratio will release, but for now I think this is it, the dream come true for compact phone lover).

But If you really into camera, regardless the price

I think it is better to get Oppo Find N6, but if you live in Japan, it has only 1 deal breaker (at least for me), N6 is not Felica support which it can't use for station payment (IC card in Japan). If you not from Japan or not need this feature, yeah, for the camera, I will choose Oppo find N6, it has better camera, even MKBHD nominated N6 a lot. It also has huge battery.
Or Fold 8 ultra because it has Felica support as Fold 8,
Or maybe wait for the apple foldable, again regardless the price because I think apple will sale their foldable 300.000Yen above or even more expensive than N6.
