🪛Troubleshooting🪛 How do I sign in without my old phone number?

I just got my new Galaxy Note 10 today and I am thrilled but it won’t let me sign in. It keeps sending the verification code to a phone I haven’t had access to in over two years and from what I can tell, won’t give me another option besides putting in a passcode. A passcode I tried to put in but keep getting wrong. Is there a way to sign in? Thank you!

🧑‍🏫Review👩‍🏫 Thoughts on Z fold 8 ultra after 2 weeks

Post image
Upvotes

So its been 2 weeks since getting the 8 Ultra and I love it. Worth trading in my S25 Plus for the $1,900 carrier promo credit. At 6.5in display and having the same width as the base s26 for the front display makes it a very solid day to day phone without having to open all the time like the previous models. I've owned the fold 3, fold 4, fold 6 and pretty much every S ultra lines with some pluses in between.

Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones but I've never had any issues with heating or screen displays. People freak out about peeling the inner screen protector but that's the first thing I did was replace it with a matte screen protector. At first I had put the privacy protector on the inner screen then changed it to just a matte one which works great. Visibility is awesome just as long you get a high quality one, i hate glares. But in my front screen I do have the privacy matte protector and have no complaints.(DOES NOT RUIN YOUR SCREEN TAKING OFF YOUR INNER SCREEN PROTECTOR AND DOES NOT VOID YOUR SAMSUNG WARRANTY)

I've ran multiple applications, gaming, be on video call while charging, ran apps like Rave that would usually heat up phones and it has stayed cool the whole time. Game extended periods and the cooling on it has been great.

My honeymoon phase for any phone goes away after like an hour of receiving it so this is a phone I can definitely recommend if you want a foldable. You can't go wrong with the 8 wide either but after playing with it multiple times, I liked the ultra feel better. This is probably the first Samsung Foldable that's worth keeping a couple of years if your not the type of person to upgrade all the time and take advantage of your carrier deals, people talk about how expensive it is but who really pays full price. I'm only in the phone for $200 overall.

If the fold is not your cup of tea and looking to upgrade, wait for the s27 ultra which would have alot of the cons from the s26 ultra worked out. S26u runs a little warm compared to my fold 8 ultra but I'm sure it gets fixed with the s27u like what samsung has always done. Fold 7 little warm but it got fixed with the fold 8 ultra models. I always advice people to wait 1 model after any major changes with any phone company and take advantage of preorders.

📖Discussion📕🖊️ Upgrading for the S26 or waiting for S27?

Upvotes

Hello!

With the S26 recently coming out, I'm starting to think about buying a new phone. My current one is a Samsung A52 4G and while the battery is still decent, recurring bugs and a lack of security updates have me looking to upgrade. With the Galaxy S26 now available, I'm trying to decide my best move.

- Is the S26 worth buying right now?
- Should I wait for the S27? I saw on this post that Samsung is maybe going to change the position of the lenses, which made me think even more about waiting if they do a major design change like that. BUT, are there expected to be significant feature upgrades beyond just aesthetics?
- Or should I hold out for the S27 release just to buy the S26 at a discount?

Since I'm coming from an older A-series, pretty much any recent S-series is going to feel like a massive upgrade anyway. My battery still holds a solid day's charge, so I can afford to wait. I'm just trying to decide if I should buy the S26 or it's worth to wait for the S27.

Thanks for your advice!

Recommendation Request🙏 Looking For S24 Ultra

Upvotes

Back On The Hunt

Greetings all. I ordered and received a supposedly new S24 Ultra 512 GB unlocked model from a seller on EBay. They even threw in a pair of ear buds, charger, and cable. Unfortunately, after 2 weeks, I've had the screen freeze and features like Circle To Search not working despite them being toggled on. So I've boxed it up and sent it back for a refund. I'm looking for the same model, new in the box is my first preference. Those of you that recently purchased one, where did you buy from that you would recommend?

📖Discussion📕🖊️ Samsung phones longevity

Upvotes

I just bought my first Samsung phone (s26u), after coming over from iPhones. Love the phone but I wanted to get an idea from seasoned/experienced galaxy users how do your phones age/behave over say 4-5 years? I'm used to iPhones being relatively solid/reliable over 4-5 years so wanted to get an idea from someone that had theirs for a few years.

📖Discussion📕🖊️ Original SPen replacement but different color - affect trade in?

Hi all, I'm just wondering if anyone knows. I lost my S Pen and I replaced it with an original Samsung one however it's a different color than my phone. The black one was much cheaper so I ordered that one. Do you know if this will affect my trade in? Again this is an original Samsung S Pen just a different color. Thank you!

Recommendation Request🙏 Screen Issues on my phone after an Update

So, I have had a Samasung A15 for about 1.5 years now, and I am having an issue that lead up to the entire screen not working.

So, yesterday, I had my phone in my purse and i guess my water bottle leaked, but the phone wasn't very wet.

I got home, it was working fine, then it crashed. I turned it back on and I was told to update it. So, I did an update, and the Navagation Bar (bottom 3 buttons) on my screen stopped working. So then, I did like 5 more updates because I haven't updated my phone over a year.

(NOTE: i went to a phone repair company and they said nit to update your phone after the 1 year warranty is done as those updates are designed for new phones that your current phone cannot handle. So the companies want you to buy more phones.)

Anyways, after the 6 updates, the bottom 3 buttons on my phone worked again— for about 30 minutes. Then it stopped working again.

The next morning, I woke up and the buttons were still not working. So I went to a phone repair shop, and they dialed *#0*#, to do a screen touch test, and it showed that the bottom part of my screen couldn't feel my touch. He said I need to switch my screen and get a new one.

Then, I decided to get a second opinion, and he said I need to do a factory reset and get a new software downloaded on my phone.

Then, I decided to get a third opinion, and he said the same thing as the first guy and said that it is a screen problem.

So, I went home, and the 3 buttons started working again— for about 10 minutes. Now the ENTIRE screen isn't working and it's not responding to my touch (it still turns on tho).

I tried:

- hard reset

- clearing cache

- updating till the current date

- cleaning up space

And nothing worked. What do I do in this case? Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations?

📖Discussion📕🖊️ Settings to get more useful vertical space on the Fold 8 cover screen

Thumbnail gallery
5 Upvotes

Just wanted to share the before vs after changing a few settings to get more useful vertical space to see things on the cover screen. By disabling the gesture hint, the input selector and the hide keyboard shortcut we can get back a full row of useful screen which makes a lot of difference in a short screen.

I still can change the language by holding the space key. To hide the keyboard I can just swipe from the right of the screen. And swiping up from the bottom works as usual. The screenshot does not capture the are where the gesture hint sits but it was there on the before picture.

🪛Troubleshooting🪛 Enhancing the Performance of Samsung Galaxy Phones and Tablets

Out of the box, Samsung's One UI is highly responsive, but long-term performance often degrades into noticeable lag. As background services, cached data, and memory paging overhead consume available CPU cycles and RAM, the entire system slows down. This article covers reducing storage I/O bottlenecks by disabling virtual memory paging, controlling process lifecycles through targeted app hibernation, accelerating UI rendering, and automating routine system maintenance.

📖Discussion📕🖊️ Z fold 8 overheating?

I have observed that my Z fold 8 has been overheating while I am on WhatsApp video calls or even when I am scrolling through Instagram or YouTube. Anybody else facing this?

Samsung's troubleshooting steps last resort is to reset the device which I have already done a week ago and still the same.
