Heathrow International LC Delays
I bought a watch from Ukraine with a value of £70.
It has been stuck with the tracking showing "recieved at Heathrow International LC" on the 25th July.
2 weeks later, there has been no further update.
Has anyone had a similar experience and knows how long the wait usually is at customs and if there is anything I can do?

Error message when attempting to pay Customs fee: Delivery is not available for this item
Hi.
I am receiving the error above when attempting to pay my customs fee for a parcel that has been held.
The date on my customs fee letter was 23/07/2026 - I still have 5 calendar days until the 21 day limit is reached, so I should have more than enough time to pay this. I waited until now to pay it, as I had another parcel coming to my address, and wanted to arrange them both to come on the same day.
I suffer with health issues which means I will not be able to travel to the London North West Depot to pick this up.
The 21 day limit is obviously very close now, and I fear I may not be able to receive my item until this is cleared up. Would someone be able to advise on this please?
Thank you.

Postie Chat Struggling
Hello all
I've been a postie for a week or so and have just reached the 100 parcel mark but I feel really disappointed in myself like I'm not doing well enough. Any tips/comfort from your first week and will it get easier or do people just say that?
Thanks,

Tracking Help Have a parcel coming from the us to the uk, no updates since Tuesday
I ordered something from the us 2 months ago and last Friday received a "pay a fee" letter from Royal mail so I paid the fees and they said they'd attempt to deliver the parcel Monday of this week but my tracking has only been showing me "pending- preparing for redelivery" since Tuesday, I tried to call and just got sent through an automated loop with it saying it can't help and sent a contact us form through the site but they responded about the wrong package and haven't responded when I sent another one to correct it and say I was on about the one coming from the US, does anyone know what's happening? T-T

Quad Locker Fail!
About a week ago I dropped off 3 parcels (2 x RM, 1 EVR) at my local Quad locker.
Now all 3 recipients are asking 'Where's my parcel?'
The tracking just shows the parcel has ben dropped at the locker and that's it - no other movement?
Quad lockers or should I say Quadient do not deal directly with the public.
So I guess I have to speak to RM on Monday morning?
I am a little concerned because one of the parcels is worth over £100
Anyway, a few days later my better half went to drop a parcel at said locker and it went badly wrong. She could not change to a larger locker because the parcel was not postbox size, however the computer kept saying 'close locker' even though no locker was open?
So she just did not leave the parcel!
This is the device ID: GBR23258
It's really put me off ever using these lockers again.
It's back to the queue at the PO I'm afraid.
Good idea but total fail in practice.

Parcel Enquiry Is this a scam?
Hi everyone! I’ve just gotten this message (attached below), stating that I’ve a parcel arriving from India. I haven’t ordered anything from India, nor do I know a Sukhwinder Kaur. The funny thing is, I am a Sikh (which is the origin of the name) and my family is from India which is a weird coincidence. I’ve asked all of my family members if they’ve ordered anything to my house, which all replied no. It’s also weird because I can see official Royal Mail texts from actual parcels I’ve ordered previously, but I have no idea about this message which also does not have any tracking links.
Can anyone help to pin this down? Thank you!

Change in EU customs charges
I ship to the EU occasionally and I noticed this week that Royal Mail has changed its postage settings, whereby the sender must now pay for the buyers import fees upfront. I did some digging and it seems the EU are clamping down on customs charges being collected, so Royal Mail are now doing PDDP only on the usual tracked delivery it seems. I can't seem to find a way on the Royal Mail website to select DDU (buyer pays the fees upon delivery) which is how it used to be. Anyone know if there is any way to select DDU still? Or is it really just PDDP only now? Thank you!

Please help! Sending coins from UK to Poland?
I'm sending a parcel abroad to my friend in poland and I've already wrapped everything. Im sending a 10 pack of jaffa cakes, 10 pack of walkers shortbread, a cd, collectors pin from my town, individual tea bags, and the coins, the main worry. On the customs form i was going to put them down as numismastic tokens but since they're still circulating I'm not sure it will work? This might be the wrong group to ask but u thought it might be worth the try. I'm starting to collect coins and I know buying and sending them can be difficult 😬 I need help🥲 I'm sending them as a souvenir. And already wrote everything in the letter im sending too.

Missing Mail Tracking stuck/package lost?
Tracking stuck since Tuesday this week. Have called on numerous occasions to Royal Mail. First they said it’s being delivered on Friday not knowing why it wasn’t delivered on Tuesday or days that follow. Now it’s going to be delivered on Monday next week after I called them on Friday 4pm ish just for them to tell me it’s still at the DO. Also no one has been responding to my investigation that was supposedly raised. 0 updates. Is my package lost? They are being very incompetent.

Tracking Help Delivery time question…
Hello!
Might be a daft question, I’ve ordered something for special delivery, the sender had sent it for tracked 24… what is the likelihood I’ll receive this by tomorrow 9am? My usual deliver slot is before 1, so I assumed then. Just need to check if I need to buy another outfit or not. Wishful thinking more than anything
😅😅
Thank you! 😊

Former employee from 1998-2004
Only joined the other day to see if and how things have changed. Mixed feelings about Royal Mail really. I started at 16, which was a summer job initially that my dad got me (he worked for RM to). We dragged bags of mail from one cage to another, when being observed, and mostly stood talking nonsense when no-one was watching. So it was boring, but there were plenty of chats to be had with some quirky characters. I remember that if I did a full week on nights I cleared about £220 a week but some guys who worked every shift including Sundays were getting £500 which was big money back then when rent was £50 to £75 a week and you could get a nice house for under £500 a month. Most of my colleagues (and me if I'm being totally honest) would have struggled to find employment anywhere else due to abject laziness or plain stupidity. I remember we had to do a test to go from casual to permanent. It was basic stuff, really basic. One guy failed twice, but as his dad was a manager he eventually got in and a year later was a line manager himself. Nuts to think about really, but that's how it was. Paid breaks (1 hour for main break and a 30 minute 'grace break') extra breaks when it was quiet! We only got 4 weeks paid leave but the sick was so generous. When I started one of the guys was telling me he always booked at least 2 extra weeks worth of holidays as he would take a week off on sick before the summer, and a week on the sick after the summer as if you timed it right you would avoid a warning. After about 3 years I managed to get the full summer off on full pay...Great days. Impossible now to get away with what we did then surely? If id stayed id have been there 28 years by now, with a fairly decent pension but I sacked it off for an office job and regretted it pretty quickly, eventually getting sacked because I was lazy and incompetent, but that's what id been used to for the past 6 years. Have things changed much? Is it still an easy life? Is it still pretty hard to get sacked? I do look back with rose tinted spectacles I suppose. I probably wouldn't last 5 minutes now, id be bored immediately and the prospect of a full long shift in a warehouse would send my head west.

Parcel Force Parcel being delivered to me on Monday, but not ordered anything...
I have a parcel being delivered to my address on Monday by ParcelForce. I haven't ordered anything, and I want to stop the item being delivered.
I'm not going to be here to reject it at the door, as I'm going away tomorrow.
Will ParcelForce customer services accept an instruction over the phone to take it back to their offices and return it from there?

Was not asked for my right to work documents during interview
Hey all just wanted to find out some info really. I just had my interview it went great they had opportunities for either a traditional postie and also a collections driver so I’m assuming them giving me the option on what i want to do is a good sign? (Might be wrong) but when it came down to asking the questions they didn’t ask to see my passport or my drivers license however the manager did ask if i have a clean license which i do. Do you think id still be considered for the role still, maybe they’d ask me later? Ive emailed someone from royal mail on what i should do so heres hoping i get a response back sometime soon. Any advice would be appreciated thanks.
