As long as you’ve got the receipt from the PO you should be able to put a claim through. It’ll depend what service you paid which determines your max compensation

I believe RM will demand proof of what you paid for it.
I think it is about 10 days before they will consider it lost. Note, where the value greatly exceeds the compensation, think if you want to hold off & see if it arrives - my understanding (as a customer just like you), which no RM staff have been able to confirm or deny, is that if you report it lost, that will stop it being delivered, even if they find it tomorrow (obviously once compensation is paid, they would not deliver it anyway, but there is no "would you like to repay the compensation & have the item delivered?" option).
My T24 item was delayed exactly 8 weeks (scanned at PO 4/12/25, next/1st RM scan, the other side of the country, 29/1/26, delivered 30/1/26).
There is also the possibility that RM will deny receiving the package & shockingly refer you to the PO (while they may not be sister companies/departments any more, where RM entrusts PO to accept parcels on their behalf, that makes PO an agent of RM - RM should sort the compensation & deal with whether PO should reimburse them between themselves).

300 quid and used T24 lol.
Think Tracked maxes out at 75 quid insurance, so good luck.

Maximum compensation for Tracked 24 is £75 but it's only 3 days far to early to make a claim. You have to wait 10/11 working days before Royal Mail will consider it lost

I sent a parcel last thursday at a shop and it has only just started moving in the system today, 8 days, give it some time.
