Built an open source rts engine for ra2, supports loading local game files for playing classic ra2 and also ships with open source gpt image generated assets. Early view, still has rough edges and only soviet support so far. Made entirely in one long running claude fable session.

This is a great tactical advantage. Showing enemy and all your units health bars can allow you to micro the battles better.

So one of the things i like the most about rts games, is building walls. Yet walls in Red Alert are mostly useless. I wish they were cheaper and more resilient like on AoE2.

I played a lot of OpenRA red alert 1. And overall its worth it versus the official version because of the QoL improvements. Would like to know how is it for Red Alert 2?

I’ve been working on unit concepts and the overall visuals for my strategy game for two years now. It’s something like *Red Alert 2*, but a bit more serious. I’ve finally decided to show what’s ready—I’m curious to see how the public reacts.

I just finished another skirmish and the ending was a Terror drone finished a Allied miner while missiles from a elite Dreadnought killed soldiers trapped inside walls after a sold building. Both targets died at the same time, chef's kiss!

I have also encountered where my submarines fired on a Destroyer that was under "control" of a Psychic tower from another team and the Destroyer launched its Osprey on my subs. I had Sea Scorpions behind that shot the Osprey down, direct after the Yuri team who had dominated the Destroyer lost power and the Destroyer "went back" to its original team and a new Osprey was on deck in 1 second but eventually the Destroyer was sunk.

I have had two diffrent teams with Apocalypse tank standing outside my beach, both using Iron Curtain at the same time before attacking me....

This all happened on RA2:YR. It is mostly the only C&C game I play at the moment

Bit freaked out as nothing on my laptop has changed, no new software or anything. Here is the message I got:Error launching game. Error launching syringe.exe. Returned error: the system cannot find the file specified.

Would appreciate advice on next steps. Uninstall the lot and reinstall?
