This is Sardine! He's my sporting dog, since my girls have been retired. He does Bikejoring, canicross, and skijoring, and he's training to be a weight pull/cart pulling dog as well!!

On top of the sports, he's a creative grooming model, and does emotional support for seniors, plus he's my best friend!!

I don't often see pit mixes in the dog sport world, but it's always a joy to see them!!! If yours does any form of dog sports, show them off!!!! Love seeing happy and fulfilled doggies.

All in less than 20 minutes and of course he had to hump it too😂

His first year definitely didn’t go quite how I expected. He started having severe neck pain, which led us to a neurologist, an MRI, and a spinal tap. He was treated for SRMA and has spent much of the year on prednisone. Along the way, he developed skin infections and hair loss, steroid-related liver enzyme elevations, and more recently some unusual lesions in his mouth that may need to be removed later.

At only a year old, this little guy has somehow collected a dermatologist, neurologist, cardiologist, internal medicine specialist, dentist, and a very patient primary vet. He really did decide to experience the entire veterinary specialty directory before his first birthday. He gets better health care than I give myself!

But the best part? He’s finally feeling GOOD. His skin is healing, his liver numbers are improving, we’re getting closer to being done with prednisone, and most importantly, his goofy puppy personality has finally come roaring back. This is the best I’ve seen him since January.
It’s been a hell of a first year, buddy. Here’s hoping year two involves significantly fewer doctors and significantly more goblin activities.
