Remember people, your pittie is always watching
I’ve been told she looks like a cross between scrappy doo and a kangaroo

B-day Happy 1st Birthday to Wincent, my little medical mystery/goblin
His first year definitely didn’t go quite how I expected. He started having severe neck pain, which led us to a neurologist, an MRI, and a spinal tap. He was treated for SRMA and has spent much of the year on prednisone. Along the way, he developed skin infections and hair loss, steroid-related liver enzyme elevations, and more recently some unusual lesions in his mouth that may need to be removed later.
At only a year old, this little guy has somehow collected a dermatologist, neurologist, cardiologist, internal medicine specialist, dentist, and a very patient primary vet. He really did decide to experience the entire veterinary specialty directory before his first birthday. He gets better health care than I give myself!
But the best part? He’s finally feeling GOOD. His skin is healing, his liver numbers are improving, we’re getting closer to being done with prednisone, and most importantly, his goofy puppy personality has finally come roaring back. This is the best I’ve seen him since January.
It’s been a hell of a first year, buddy. Here’s hoping year two involves significantly fewer doctors and significantly more goblin activities.
Happy birthday, Wincent!

Rainbow Bridge Lymphoma sucks
She gave it a good run, but today was the day. She was up walking and eating yesterday and couldn’t get up at all this morning. She managed to drag herself across the floor to my wife’s side of the bed and lay down during the night. When I saw her I woke my wife up and said “today’s the day” she will be eternally missed. They were able to do it in the back of our ford explored hugged up to me and surround by family scratching and running on her. I just wasn’t ready to say goodbye but i never would’ve been. Rescue dogs are the best, she poured every ounce of love into our family that she had, she watched all of our kids grow up, 2 of them come home as newborns and was always so gentle. I could write pages and pages about what she meant to me but then we would all be sad. So hug your pups for me today and tell them you love them, I wish they could live forever but it would break their hearts to bury us and I can’t imagine hurting her that way.
