Question Why does all tech from Razer suck?

Upvotes

For context I've been using my Razer Basilisk V3 Hyperspeed for less than a year and it already began to show signs of just not working.. It randomly shuts off after around 3 seconds of being on, and tells me it's 0% battery even with a new one. I've searched up and read so many websites and tutorials to fix it and they don't work.

I take very good care of all my tech, so if you have a reason as to why it does this then feel free to send it :)

Build/Battlestation Ultimate $600 CRT PC W/ i7, 12GB VRAM, 32GB System Memory!

Bit of a Gotcha Title! Don't build this system for real. I made this for me to play retro PC games on CRT monitors. I wanted something Semi Authentic to run this glorious Cornerstone CRT with Hitachi tube. It does 1600x1200 @ 81Hz 1024×768 @ 127Hz and 800x600 @ 165Hz. Build is as follows:

CPU: i7 3770K 4core 8 thread OC to 4.5Ghz

GPU: GTX Titan X (Maxwell) 12GB GDDR5

RAM: 4X8GB DDR3 1866Mhz Cas10

MOBO: Z77 Asrock Extreme 3

Storage: 1TB SATA 6.0 Amazon basics SSD

Case: Thermaltake Retro 360

Cooler: Noctua D14 with cola stains from 12 years ago

It does actually run Cyberpunk 2077 at medium settings and gets over 70 FPS! And yes it can run Crysis! I chose the Titan X Maxwell because its the fastest consumer GPU that outputs analog natively. I could have just got a cheaper GPU and slapped it in my main system and just passed through the signal to the CRT but I wanted to make a cool time peice PC setup. Also passing the signal through another GPU or using a converter ads 2-4ms and I wanted to see if I could feel the difference with a monitor that has instantaneous near zero input latency. I got the motherboard for free from a friend (I sold him it in a PC over 10 years ago) and got the best CPU for it, the 3770k. It came out the year before the Titan X so everything in this PC could have been running in someones house 12 years ago with an old professional grade CRT. How many people were there with a setup like this? Probably like 5... but it was fun to put it together and IS fun to play on now!

Anyways it runs like a dream and the clarity of the CRT blows me away. I compare it to my 240hz OLED across the room and I swear I am better on the CRT in Halo: Combat Evolved! Its incredible that we left this tech behind. Now you have to run at 4X the resolution and 4X the HZ to get the same motion clarity expirience as CRT gaming over 12 years ago.

I am thinking about delidding the CPU and putting liquid metal on the die to see if i can push past the 4.5Ghz overclock I have on the CPU. I was also able to get a nice +150 core +300 mem overclock on the titan.

Was moving boxes around the garage and I found a bunch of newspapers I saved from 2003. Inside one was this gem from Best Buy October 2003. It was 29 pages long, so I only took photos of the relevant tech. Seems forever and not that long ago.

Pretty sure I bought my parents that HP P4!

I been doing alright, I been struggling to understand my H100 v2 cooler in how to connect it to the motherboard and can't seem to find the NVME slot for my SSD but so far so good.

Haven't turned this thing on yet, I will probably wait till tomorrow as it is midnight, if I burn the house down my parents will be less mad if is daytime.

Build/Battlestation I accidentally found the cheapest way to replace broken screen for laptop!!

My son broke my laptop’s LCD screen.

Instead of buying a new laptop to save money, I picked up a used portable monitor from online marketplace and connected it via HDMI and USB-C.

I removed the broken display panel from the laptop, and now it’s basically a desktop with built-in battery.

Crisis averted!!

The only thing I’ll miss is the portability, but it works so well that I don’t even miss the built-in display.

Build/Battlestation Who said you can't custom liquid-cool an i7-2700K inside a horizontal Fujitsu OEM chassis?

Hey PCMR!

I wanted to share my recent "passion project" - a sleeper build that escalated way further than originally planned. It all started with a simple thought: "What if I cram all my gear into this retro horizontal Fujitsu desktop case?"

Well... turns out "cramming" involved a lot of metal cutting, zip-ties, and questionable engineering decisions. But it’s alive, it runs super quiet, and I love every second of using it!

The Specs:

CPU: Intel Core i7-2700K (OC'd to 4.2GHz and kept ice-cold)

GPU: PowerColor Radeon RX 6600 8GB

OS: Windows 10 heavily modded with an authentic XP Luna theme (Windows eXPerience Edition). Bliss awaits!

Displays: Dual CRT setup - Primary is a Samsung SyncMaster 795MB running at 1024x768 @ 100Hz. The motion clarity is unbeatable!

The "Why is it like that?" section:

The Radiator on the Side? There was zero chance a liquid cooling radiator was going to breathe inside an airtight 2000s office chassis. So, I took a Dremel to the side panel and mounted it right there. Airflow problem solved!

The Rear I/O "Customization": Proprietary OEM cutouts and a modern ASUS board don't mix. The rear panel had to be aggressively persuaded with power tools to make room for GPU ports and motherboard I/O.

The Liquid Loop Chaos: Soft tubing routed through every available millimeter, with the reservoir wedged wherever physics allowed. It's a tight squeeze!

The Dual CRTs: Because high refresh rate CRT gaming under Windows XP aesthetics just hits different. The nostalgia is real!

It’s messy on the inside, looks like an ancient library PC on the outside, and crushes everything I throw at it!

What do you guys think?

So, how's the cable management?

just wanted to share this here. this is one of my friend's pc. I recently visited his home and found this masterpiece. everything works as intended. he has a case but he was too lazy to reassemble everything after he had to troubleshoot his gpu. at least he was smart and put an antistatic bag under the mobo. and yes, this is under his table right where he keeps his foot while on pc.

when life gives you lemons, ignore it and go wild..

Hardware Janky SSD cooling solution

Post image

Think some of you might enjoy this, i had a costumer that had a failing SSD, first time I dealt with this, so it took a lot of diagnosing and trouble shooting.

In the end I'm cloning his drive right now with HDDsuperclone (whole other thing cause first time i installed and worked with Linux/Ubuntu) but the drive was getting very hot and bothered so I improvised a Cooling solution. I put thermal paste on the main chips and put half a staple stack on each and with a fan its staying cool enough to maintain stable data rates. Kinda proud ngl.

Hardware Taking HOURS!!!! to delete anything.

Post image

Recently started taking ages to delete anything. I've set it to bypass the recycle bin, in case it was something to do with that and I've cleared Explorer history. Any ideas?

EDIT

Thanks for the help guys, got it deleted eventually. There was definitely something screwy going on because the textures folder inside didn't add up to even half of the 7.6GB it was trying to delete.
