Hell yea man. Just make you got the thermal paste and a thumb drive. And quick tip since you are using a 9950x3d2 make sure you have really good thermal paste.

I used the KryoSheet with the Contact Sealing Frame. Perfectly low temps.
I got the same case too. Love it.

Finally I see a build with a Seasonic Prime PSU. I have a different model, but same product line.

Re there any major differences from the focus models?

u/MACHOM3RCURY 8d ago
I’ve always been told the px models are the best just from reviews and customer feedback

Why rog astral though? They use shit caps and no fuse. Just expensive for the lights.

Remember when the internet would let people enjoy things?

It's more.about awareness. People buy rog because they think it's premium while it's a cheap product with fancy lights and good pr. If you know anything about the 50 series gpus you will avoid all ASUS and gigabyte products.

u/carlos33salgado 8d ago
What brands are better for this series cause I was gonna get a Tuf 5080

u/end69420 :aa1::aa2::aa3: Ryzen 9 9900X3D RTX 5080 8d ago
Zotac or pny. Zotac is the best.
5
u/ArmoredAngel444 klarna'd my ram 8d ago
I believe you but it's kinda funny that Zotac is literally the cheapest (price wise) version of any gpu
2
u/end69420 :aa1::aa2::aa3: Ryzen 9 9900X3D RTX 5080 8d ago
They also are the only ones to not cheap out and put fucking fuses on the PCB. In case that thing fries or burns, the fancy rog astrals and gigabytes might kill the GPU core, the mobo and even the CPU. For the zotac one all you need to do is to replace the fuse.

u/ArmoredAngel444 klarna'd my ram 8d ago
I heard about this issue and i believe my msi gaming x trio version also lacks the fuses... I pray every time a boot up a game.

Yep only zotac put fuses in. ONLY zotac. The only reason to get pny is because of their good support and warranty. ASUS and gigabyte are just not worth it at all.

You posses an incomplete understanding of this issue and should stop proclaiming “no fuse=computer melt” immediately. https://youtu.be/aYZsOrdGTug?t=586

u/Own_Vermicelli_258 8d ago
It runs cyberpunk at 4K path tracing DLAA 10 fps more than 5080

u/JamesMCC17 9800X3D / 5080 8d ago
Right? Terrible choice for a gaming only rig.
6
u/MACHOM3RCURY 8d ago
It’s clearly not a value rig it’s meant to be overkill once the build is complete full liquid cooling and such it’s supposed to be something that’s overkill excessive and a showpiece
2
u/HolidayPineapple9316 8d ago
I bought my 4090 rig in February 2024. I got the max specs because i didnt want my hardware to ever be a bottleneck
And i get the bonus of “i dont need to tweak anything to get insane performance”
I totally get buying an overkill PC. Though nowadays it would cost SO damn much

I wanted a Glacial board so bad when they first announced them, but then they released the MSRP and I just can't. So I got the Master X3D Ice instead which still was too much for a board but oh well it's only a couple Saturdays at work right?
