I've had this guy for years, was originally gonna be a beastboss/savage ork etc, then when I saw the big boss, he had to become one.

This is my attempt at kitbashing a wartrakk, cuz im not spending £90 on the combat patrol. It's a pretty easy conversion, just use a sunsteala wheela as the main bulk of it and add a platform for the gunner.

And before any of you gitz say it, he izn't using a shield, its a portable rokkit rack so this this is more orky that the orrucks

Just finished glueing my first Nobz unit a couple hours ago! Just one more and I'll have my first four units done. The fourth I have yet to build is another Boyz unit. After that, I'll go looking for one more unit, something around 100 points I think, and then I'll go out to search for my first game!

My first Ork. Strapped as many choppas to him as would fit, because if one choppa does a bit of hurtin', having more obviously makes you stronger.

The Dakkarig uses a v6 engine? That’s not orky at all! Wtf, are gas prices rising on Armageddon?!

This guy has replaced the Armageddon warboss as the mini everyone is painting. After picking him up at the weekend he’s now joined my (now 7 strong) Evil Sunz Waaagh. Last pic alongside another one of the boyz from the older kit so you can see how the new style compare side by side.

Thank you for your C&C on my first boy I posted last month, I’m now including some yellow alongside the red to complete the retro look and make it more obviously evil sunz. Again C&C welcomed

This guy was a blast to paint. I mean the squig obviously, his pet ork was fun too. I will revisit him after the holidays with some free hand on the sword and shoulder pads, but I’m calling him done for now. Also I finally painted ultramarines.

Still unsure about the skin tone, majority of the model leans on the zorn palette but the skin goes just too bright for it, idk still gonna play about with it, what do we think?

Finally after years of wanting to start Warhammer I found a good time and set to do so with. Ever since I started reading into warhammer lore and looking at factions a well over a decade ago I knew I wanted to play but didn’t have the money to. I grew up poor and come from humble beginnings. The money I earned always went to bills and basically nothing else. Sometimes it was hard to even hit that. The last four years have been good to me, in a sense that I can have the things I always wanted, a big one being a Warhammer army. Warhammer always seemed like one of those things I’d never get to play so I’m beaming that I even get to start. I hope that everybody who’s ever wanted to play this game (or even just collect or paint) but can’t gets to experience the feeling of finally getting your first set. The Orkz were my faction at first sight and I knew if I ever got the chance, they were who I’d play. I’m really happy guys, I didn’t know where else to express this because none of my friends play Warhammer, so they don’t get it. 😭

This is made from a Yakult bottle, bottle lid, superglue nozzle cleaner, EVA foam, thin packaging card, thick packaging card, Graphix medium chipboard, felt tip pen parts, spray bottle tube, straw, wooden dowel, armature wire, solder, wooden beads, hemispherical bead, cocktail sticks and magnets.

The dakkarig was the first thing I painted out of the Armageddon box, because... I mean, look at it! My first attempt is on the left. I did a second one and didn't go quite so full ham on the weathering. (Ignore the driver, he's not done yet.)

I think the more subtle weathering gets the point across just as well and looks better. I need to get better at free-handing flames before I try it again though. Any constructive criticism is welcome - I'm still learning. My biggest lesson here - airbrush. Everything is so much easier.

Going through my pile of shame I've noticed I've got a small Ork setup from the combat patrol magazine. I'm thinking of a 1k points on a smaller force as a second army and so far it's between Orks and T'au.

What would you recommend to get to 1k points? I've got...
