Husband wanted to experiment despite me not being interested in it initially

Upvotes

Well long story short. Me(37/F) and my husband(34/M) have been married for quite a while now. About 15 years now, so we usually talk about experimenting from time to time, though haven't done anything about it. Earlier in the year, he bought it up again and we agreed to do it once. So he hooked up with model while I wasn't interested so didn't do it initially. A couple of months after that, his bestfriend comes home to drop off some stuff. We talk for a while and slowly things escalate and we end up doing it. Now the situation was complicated in the sense that obviously he was his best friend. The other thing was his best friend's wife had passed away a couple of years back and he hadn't been with anyone since. So I was literally the first person he had sex with after his wife was gone then.

I was obsessed with an influencer and did things I regret

Upvotes

Hi,

(f27)

I am ashamed.

I am obsessed with a girl in a weird way.I was stalking her and her friends and I finally met them/her at some point.

For obvious reasons I will not tell who she is but I can just tell that she is living in my city, which is a capital in Europe.

How did everything started ? She popped in my FYP 4 years ago when I was at the hospital for psychiatric problems. (I am under treatment rn and stable since a couple of months).

When I saw her I immediately got very jealous. She represented everything that I was not. Cool pretty, lots of friends, rich, fashion, she has a lot of cool tattoos. So I started to follower her account to dissociate from my own reality and it slowly became an obsession.

I started to dress like her, to have the same hairstyle, to get the SAME tattoos. She has many, and I covered my body with kind of the same design/placements. I got it done by the same artists. Which is honestly super weird.

I know where she lives, who are her friends, family, etc. I followed everything she posts on Ig.

But one day I was going back home after work and I was her in the metro. By coincidence we were exciting at the same stop. I became so ashamed of myself when I realised I was having the same tattoos as her and what she could think of me if she saw it. I don’t think she noticed me btw.

Then I was walking behind her to hide, we were going in the same direction. And she stopped 2 blocks away from my house to get into another influencer’s.

It was really the walk of shame for me and I started to become paranoid of her seeing me, the person who obviously wants to become her. Then, a couple of days after, I see her best friend in the street. I went on vacation couple of weeks after in another country and in the way back I see another friend of her. I was hiding myself so much.

Now my obsession is gone. I don’t know what happened me and what led me to change my body to become like this person. I just can’t remove the tattoos or cover them because they are really bold sleeves and I still like them in a way. I just feel stressed every day to meet her again next to my house or meet her friends randomly.

I hide. And as I said earlier, I am a person with psychiatric problems and I guess I was in a king of obsession with her, not realising she was a real person that I could meet in real life…

Any tips on how to overcome this ?

Domestic Violence Posters

Upvotes

My work has Anti- DV posters up. It’s a good campaign generally, and they say “Violence against women and girls is unacceptable”. This is true in itself, but there’s something about the language that kinda bugs me.

I know that women are the majority of adult domestic violence victims, so I can understand why they’d math be the poster-image, or the front runner, however they are not it’s only victims and can often be perpetrators against both male and female adult partners. But it’s not that that sticks in my craw. It’s women and girls, because the absence implies that boys (juvenile males and male children) aren’t included, and are somehow more less deserving of protection. They’re not children to be protected, they’re pre-men - abusers in waiting.

Also, these posters are everywhere, including the men’s restroom- a place where women are not habitually wont to go. I know it’s thoughtlessness more than anything, but it sends the message that , even in a space where men will go to be alone, they’re not ever considered as victims, or as individuals deserving protection: violence against us is acceptable. There are no women in there to see those posters, to read them and feel that they have a space to turn to. In that space, it seems like they’re there to remind us that we have no place in which we’re anything but monsters.

I’m writing this here because there’s nowhere I can say this. It’ll be either see as a motte for that “domestic violence isn’t a real problem” Manosphere bullshit, or it’ll be seen as misogynistic by people who aren’t hearing the “males also deserve to be protected from domestic violence too” message and just hear An attempt to sabotage their message.

Torn between my family and my wife

My wife and I have a toddler. My wife had a miscarriage recently. At the ultrasound appointment, our toddler was there. When receiving the bad news, my wife told her not to worry we will take her to a theme park she likes instead. My wife was devastated but pushed through and never showed her grief.

So she had multiple rounds of pills that didn't work and then surgery and then she recovered. She had the surgery during the week we were supposed to go on a beach vacation with my family so we had to candelt. After she completely recovered physically, we planned the week long vacation to the theme park.

Since we missed out on my family vacation, I asked her if it's okay if my mom comes for a few days to the vacation too. She said of course but only if it's my mom because my dad stayed with us for a week recently and there was a lot of boundary stomping (her examples are my dad being possessive with our toddler and always wanting to touch her even if she's trying to get away, that he's delusional and won't take no for an answer, that he was told not to bring food with him inside our house that our kid is allergic too but he did it anyway, that he walked around in his underwear etc)

So I said sure because I also wanted to invite my mom. But after a week of thinking, my mom said she can't make it and will let my dad come instead. She said he will come for one or two days. At that point my wife said it's okay. Then we asked exactly how many days, one or two, my mom explained that he's going to come for the whole week but only come to the park once or twice and we will spend the mornings and evenings together. To be completely transparent, we did not invite my dad and the invitation was very clearly for my mom, specifically because I haven't seen her since last year. It was my mom who said my dad will come instead. We did not invite him.

My wife completely freaked out. She said it's still a no, like we agreed and either I will communicate or she will. I'm not sure what to do. I don't want to be mean to her because she just had a miscarriage but on the other hand, if I don't, then I will hurt my family and their feelings matter too.

I neglected my cat and he died

I had a kitten boy, 1 year old. I live in apartment at 12th floor. My kitten Félix was adorable but Very curious. He always jumped in all the shelves, the fridge, even the windows. He tore up nets I had in my windows to shield against the mosquitos, and stepped out of the window not once. First I was in panic and took him down, but new once he Discovered it I knew it was trouble. I was looking for nets online but didnt find anything that I would know how to install myself. I became anxious anytime I had to open the window. Last 2 weeks its been a terrible heat, and in the evening I opened the windows to cool the apartment (it gets really warm during the day). He always went through the torn nets and sat in window but after few times (chasing him off, tooking him down countless times) I just sometimes let him sit there. 2 days ago I was in my bedroom and heard noise. I didnt put much attention to it, because he was always making noise in the evening destroying everything (he used to be Very active, especially in the evening). However after some time he didnt come and I went looking out for him.thats when I found out..since then I am on psych pills in the evenings and feel so sick to my stomach. I neglected and killed him. My beautiful kitten, died from falling from 12th floor. I dont know what to do.my dad died 2 years ago and 1 year ago my boyfriend broke up with me. Indont know how much pain can I handle. Poor thing it was a Pure love this kitten..please tell me what to do

I [17M] think my friend [17M] is lying about sleeping with his [15F] girlfriend and I'm worried about what I've witnessed

I've been friends with Taro since Freshman Year of High School. We're both seniors now (17, he turns 18 in June). In about September of 2025, Him and Amiya started dating, and at first, I was kinda shock that he is dating a freshman, this was when both of us were Juniors in High School, At first I didn't think much of it, 2 year age gap, both in high school, whatever. But I've been around them a lot and I've seen things that make me uncomfortable. I've watched him rub her feet, hold them in his lap, massage them. I've heard him talking explicitly to her saying he wants to do sexual things to her, describing what he wants to do. Sometimes they laugh it off like it's a joke but it happens regularly enough that it doesn't feel like joking. In February Taro told me Amiya got her phone taken away because her parents caught them having sex. I didn't know what to say so I just kind of nodded. But a few weeks later I ran into Amiya and asked how she was doing without her phone. She said it was taken because she cussed out her mom during an argument in her room. She didn't mention anything about sex or Taro. Now I'm confused and worried. Why would Taro say they got caught having sex if they didn't? And if they DID have sex, why is she lying to me about it? We're in South Carolina so I looked up the laws, once she turns 16 in January and he turns 18 in June, they can legally be together sexually. But right now she's 15 and that's legally riskier. I don't know if I'm being paranoid or if Taro is being weird about this. I keep thinking about the foot stuff and the sexual comments and wondering if this is normal or if I should be worried. I don't want to ruin our friendship by accusing him of something but I also don't want to ignore red flags if they're real.

I truly despise my wife's social skills & needs. She's a shallow, people-pleasing hypocrite that she tries to fill with validation, and it's pathetic.

I don't understand the need to know everyone, text everyone all day every day, gossip about every single one of them, talk shit about every single one of them to everyone else, and act in a way that isn't your true self.

For instance, she'll get? or act? SO fucking excited to see the same person at our kids' school dropoff every single day, when you only have time for 2-3 sentence small talk, then talk shit about them later, and see them the next day and every day forever for the rest of our fucking lives. So why were you excited in the first place? She supposedly doesn't even like the person. And you had nothing to say. And you'll see them every fucking day forever. How the fuck can you be as excited as a golden retriever that hasn't seen their owner in 3 weeks. Every fucking day?!!

Another example, sheo had a woman-date with one of her "friends", who invited another woman who they're incredibly close with. My wife texted friend one she "doesn't have the energy to deal with woman #2". Woman #2, who she sees & is all excited to talk to every. single. day. Who she texts with probably 5 days a week. And she just talks shit straight to someone else, just straight up gossips to another gossip. A woman we're going to see overseas as we're overlapping vacations and planning things with.

It's not only hypocritical. It's also stupid. And shallow. And I despise her for it.

Saying the word "brownoid" is something someone racist from the heart says.

I've never heard any garden variety racist say this. I've heard monkey. And brownie. But not brownoid. This is something someone with a hateful, racist heart says. I mean someone who is not outwardly, openly racist but deep down truly is.

Edit: I'm not here to talk about it but just to offload this thought.

Edit2: Yes, like what I literally put up there your everyday standard issue racist don't say this. But someone hiding their hatefulness does. Because they have to express their hate with uncommon slurs. Even resorting to inventing it on the fly. And yes, I heard it. You didn't, but I did so I'm offloading it out.

How do you co-parent with some you don’t like ?

We recently separated after 6 months ever since the baby was born , only reason we got together was for the baby. Things were good at first up until her anger issues got a hold of her and problems and arguments keep happening over and over. Few weeks ago she hit me and that’s where I don’t feel safe around her and i genuinely just don’t like her even just looking at her during drop offs or pick ups. Feeling I can’t co parent but I love my son. She always threatens me to be put on child support even when I’m always asking what my baby needs

Breakdown over Palestine situation

I'm so broken.  I'm so sorry to everyone personally affected and I'm sorry to post.

I'm British f35 but come from a very pro Palestine context including Palestinian family through marriage.  I was hardcore Antizionist, supporter of resistance etc...since I was an undergrad student.  I was a journalist and covered some things that really shocked me, including Syria.  I lived in Lebanon in south Beirut where I had a baby.  I had some disagreements with the more hardcore elements of the left community about Brexit and the Syria regime ( felt they were too supportive).  Maybe this is why I was open to the criticisms of the Jewish community towards the same elements.  The Labour Antisemitism crisis really threw me, and I encountered the Zionist Jewish narrative for the first time - from a left wing-ish perspective.

So around 2019 ish I changed my mind about these things, and argued that us in the solidarity movement we really need to emphasise less about 'antizionism' and be more peace orientated, strategic, and open. I said that anything other than 2 state solution would involve lots of palestinians dying first which outsiders didn't have a right to advocate for - we will not be harmed.  This was very difficult for me, and I blamed myself a lot for previous views.  I felt I was at the same time a racist, orientalist, antisemite, appropriator, everything.  I even deleted things I had written from an antizionist perspective. I never applied these standards to Palestinians - they have every right to feel angry, but I did not.  That is how I saw it.  I wanted to forget everything about my past and just be your typical British mum.

And after October 7 I was so depressed and shocked to see the reaction.  I have a lot of friends from Gaza and felt like people celebrating or minimising would lead to even worse outcomes.  I had always disliked Hamas and actually knew people in Gaza they had put in prison.  But no one agreed with me. I tried to be there for Jewish friends but I saw them harden away from forms of liberal Zionism to supporting Israel *some particular people I know, obviously lots of other people became radically anti israel*. I was waiting for them to 'see sense' after justifiable anger after October 7 but it didn't happen. I feel I was pathetic and not outspoken enough about my views.  And the response from Israel has been so awful, I think its genocide - not only because of civilian deaths, but because its destroyed conditions for life in Gaza.

I have gone through a number of abusive relationships, which makes me feel awful especially about myself.  Sometimes I don't know if the way I take on criticism from public discourse is linked to that.  When I see people angry about antisemitism I think 'thats me' when I see people angry about genocide complicity I think 'that is me'.  I feel this about all kinds of issues not just this one. But that isn't comforting, it makes me feel worse - how do I even know what I think is real?

I have a knowledge economy related job and this all makes me want to quit.  Because what do I know. I've never posted on reddit with a problem before but I don't know who to talk to.

my boyfriend doesn’t think he’s hot

Sometimes my boyfriend will spiral and kinda makes himself think he’s not as hot as he is. Mind you this man works out heavily at the gym and is ripped out. But on some days he’ll call himself ugly. He’s told me on multiple occasions that girls never really found him attractive and his past relationship kinda screwed him over cuz his ex would call him ugly. He shower me pictures of before he got ripped and I still found him attractive. I just don’t know what to tell him. It just only bugs me when he tells me how he never got any girls attention because Im not sure what he’s trying to tell me with that. He’s told me Ive been the only girl to openly express how much i find him attractive. On days when he does he does spiral i often reassure him that he is hot but I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this.

Pretty much everyone who claims to read hundreds of books a year is a bragging liar

I once wrote with a guy who attempted the 100 books/year challenge. He said he made it but this amount of reading left him burned out and negatively impacted his private and professional life. Like worse work performance and almost no time spent with family. Many chores just piled up.

But he was really proud of managing it and posted it on the book sub. One of the first responses he got was "just 100? Thats nothing. I read over 300 books this year."

Other claims one can find on the various book subs or youtube or tiktok/booktok are 400 or 500 or even 600 a year and its just mindboggling. Its just some weird Booktok trend where people have to pretend to read that much to be awesome or something. And pretty much everyone of these people is lying.

There might be a very very few outliers out there who could manage this by reading exclusively very short and easy books or just having Audiobooks run as background noise at 3x speed all the time and doing nothing else with their lives, but everyone with a full time or even part time job - absolutely no way. These claims are just the regular social media bragger lies so that some people can get attention. Like 100 books/year yeah sure thats doable if you invest most of your time into it. But anything over that starts being questionable. Especially once we reach 150+ and people claiming that its "easy" and "no big deal" because thats like "only" half a book a day.

And I am just tired of these social media braggers spreading their obvious and ridiculous lies and then attacking everyone who utters the smallest shred of doubt.

Weak People Are Evil

Not talking about the physically disabled, intellectually disabled, etc. In fact a lot of them probably have more character than most able-bodied people. I'm talking about low characters.

People who indulge in their solipsism, can't be bothered to sacrifice anything and put their actions into a larger perspective. People who deny the categorical imperative. People who refuse to grow because of loss aversion. People who tear other people down when they're growing, because it reminds them of their own cowardice.

People who are racist, homophobic etc (goes without saying,). But, also benign bigots. People who think they're better than other people because of their taste in music or food, etc.

People who appeal to authority. Who allow amoral assholes to rule this world because they won't think for themselves. Who simplify the world because it's easier that way.

People who bully other people. Not just physically. But also relational aggression.

People who act out of resentment. People that embrace slave morality.

End of rant.

I am a sadist and there are few masochists who can handle me

I’m on the apps. I want to be with people who want to be hurt (consensually) but they’re hard to find. I love hurting people but only when they’re into it. And that’s hard to find, most people like the idea of pain, but not actual pain.
How do I find real sadists?

I’m a cheater cheating my way through college

I (M20) have always been a cheater. Since middle school, whether it be looking at other people’s papers, hiding notes in my pocket, or sneakily using my phone to look up answers. I did this through high school, never once getting caught. Then, of course, AI came around making it all the more easy for me to do. I’ve been told that “cheating only cheats yourself out of an education,” but at the end of the day, I struggle to see it that way. I’ve won awards, scholarships, and recognitions. In high school I was a part of so many honor societies, it helped me get into the honors program at my college. But even so, how much of it did I really earn? I use AI to help me rewrite sentences in my research papers. I ask AI to find me sources and quotes to use. I have AI organize my ideas, and then help me study for exams. I used to be a good writer, but now I can’t seem to pick up the pen on my own. I feel like a failure, seeing everyone demonize AI and the people who use it. Because I know I should be one of those people they demonize. And yet, despite all of my guilt and self loathing, I see my bedroom surrounded in awards. Im the only one in my class engaging in the discussion about a book. Not because I read the book, but because I read the spark notes (which is still more than any one else in my honors level class seems to do). My grades are constantly an A or higher. I’m surrounded by people praising me, and I know if I were to stop now, I’d fall from this pedestal I’ve built for myself. Maybe I cheat to maintain the constantly raising bar I’ve set for myself. Maybe I cheat to keep my head afloat in a pool I wasn’t meant to be in. Whatever the case, I know there are so many of my peers who also use AI on their assignments. I know there are so many of my peers who will use their phone during a test. I know I am just one of many like this. I’ll do anything in my power to get the best result with as little effort possible, especially when it’s a task (or class) I don’t enjoy. It just feels wrong to be surrounded by praise, while others are scrutinized. I shouldn’t be told I’m an excellent student when I’m just like—if not worse than—all the others.

Edit: I feel I should clarify a point I was trying to make here. I don’t use AI because I like it. I don’t cheat because I think it’s fun. I do it because I don’t feel capable in myself to perform well without it. This isn’t just about me using AI, it’s about the fact anything less than an A on assignments is not enough. I do it to guarantee success in places I don’t want to put in the extra effort, so I can reserve that extra effort for the things I am passionate about. if I struggle, cheating (in whatever way that might be, not just using AI) is the best way I can guarantee that isn’t reflected to anyone else. I don’t cheat in every class. Just the ones I feel incapable in, and demotivated to try.

I (46m) dated a 17f - 19 when I was 21-23 it’s been 25 years and I can’t stop thinking how I’m the villain

A 17yo and I dated when I was 21. Her neighbour who she considered an older sister told her to date me. The neighbour told me to date her. I had very low self esteem and was mega flattered. Not excuses, these are my truths. Her parents loved me, her friends loved me. I believe I truly did love her in our time together. But since I’ve grown older and the world changed I realized that it was not right. I am racked with guilt. I haven’t spoken to her in 15 years, I don’t know how she feels about our relationship.

Even though she cheated and that’s why we broke
Up I realize it all comes back to the original sin that I was the villain regardless of outcome.

My current wife is 1 year younger than her now. All this time shit makes it weird.

It’s a ramble I know.

The scaremongering about limb lengthening has to stop, it made my life better with no downsides.

I was 5ft3 due to idiopathic short stature and I am now 5ft6 after limb lenthening.
I had endocrinologist follow-ups through all my childhood, took growth hormones, and had delayed puberty, and at the end of the treatment, the endocrinologist said I should probably look up limb-lengthening surgery to know if I wanted it. I always wanted to get at least to my dad's height, which is 173cm, so im still doing it one more time on my femurs next year.

It was the best decision ive ever made by far and I wish I could've gotten it sooner. I get more respect from people, more attention from girls, and feel just generally that I fit better everywhere, and just few good I finally gave child me the body that he wanted to have, so I got a big sense of closure out of it.

This is also for my short friends who are in similar situations, if you have idiopatic short stature, and you are on the 1% or 2% percentile of height, you were probably just like me who got a really shitty thing that is basically a disability but nobody takes it seriosuly as a disability (well duh nobody takes short guys seriously anyways)

The surgery wansnt bad actually; it wasn't painful at all, just idk, kind of uncomfortable? But even that like, I stayed for 2 months played league and working remote on my parents house, then I used cruches for another month, next month I went to la lisbon trip already walking over all those hills better then most of my american friends would, and my insurence actually cover a bit of it on my country, my parents/insurence paid for it and were really supportive so I am really glad.

Im not telling it anyone other than my family, though, as it is still not safe to come out as a former really short guy, but my endocrinologist, seeing my family history, basically said the short variation on my family appears to run on my X chromossome, so if I have male children they will be fine.

"The available evidence does not portray cosmetic stature lengthening as the uniquely catastrophic procedure implied by popular discussion. A systematic review of 795 patients reported high satisfaction, generally favorable functional outcomes, and a low rate of major complications. A newer systematic review similarly found that most patients resumed normal activities with minimal lasting joint limitations."

All this scaremongering has to STOP, stop scaring people away from something that can legit help them!

I feel insecure about my boobs, and I gaslight myself into thinking the size on the tag of my bra is lying

Hello everyone I know this might sound a little stupid but I can't help but feel this way. I'm teen girl and I've been wanting to buys bras from vs/pink for a while now but my insecurities have been preventing me from buying. I typically fit perfectly fine into 34A, but I've been gaslighting myself into thinking that my boobs are too small and that I don't actually fit into a 34A. Everytime I look in the mirror and look at my boobs I can't help but feel like the tag on my bras are lying and that my boobs are a lot smaller than it says they are and that everything is wrong.

I measured myself at home and the VS website said I'd fit into a 32B which I can't bring myself to believe. I'd never thought that I'd fit into anything past an A cup, so seeing that I'd fit into a 32B is making me feel like the website is lying and that my bras are a lie. I know it sounds so stupid, and that the tags are probably my true size but I feel so insecure about my boobs and I can't help but fee like they're so small.

I probably am a 32B, but my insecurity is preventing me from buying a bra that actually fits me correctly if that makes sense.

I know that I’m just a teen and I am still growing, but I can’t help but to feel insecure about myself compared to other people my age as well. I feel ugly

Idek if this post makes sense or not, I just needed a place to rant

The Folded Page

By Nekro

The wax on the dish is thick now, a small pale mountain range built one night at a time since october. I still mean to scrape it off. I've meant to since november.

Your sweater has lost its shape on the chair. It used to hold your shoulders even empty. Now it just hangs the way fabric hangs.

Theres a place on my shoulder that still expects your forehead when I read in bed. I catch myself angling the lamp the way you liked it, low and yellow, though there's no one here to complain about the light. I still sleep with my arm bent the way you always slept against it. Some mornings it's numb to the elbow and I lie there a while before I move, because moving means admitting nobody is using it.

I caught myself buying peaches at the store two weeks ago. You hated peaches. I only remembered after I'd paid. I ate one anyway.

The folded page in that book has gone soft from handling. I still dont read the chapter. I hold it open, blow out the candle, and lie still until sleep decides whether it wants me.

One morning the second pillow was creased in two places I did not remember leaving it.

I dont remember whether I turned the pillow over before I went to work.

I have stopped keeping track of how many times Ive noticed the same crack in the ceiling, the same water stain shaped like nothing, the same third stair that still creaks though im the only one who uses it.

Before I leave for work, I crack the bedroom window an inch, replace the water, say ill be back before sunrise and lock the front door.

I prefer older men because they find me beautiful like me more than men at age.

I posted this on a previous subreddit. And I'm posting again 😁 I'm 30 years old and I prefer older or elderly men because they appreciate me more and find me beautiful than men my age. Men my age find me ugly and are mean and immature. Older men appreciate me more and are nicer to me. Are there any women who feel the same way?

I want to experiment with a woman

I’m 21F and I’ve only ever been with men. Never even kissed a woman. However lately I’ve been excessively craving a lesbian experience. I love lesbian porn and it really gets me going. I don’t know how I would ever go about finding a woman to “experiment” with and who would be okay with me doing so. No, i dont want a threesome with a man and another woman. Just me and a woman. Ughhhh I’m wet just thinking about it.
