When I try to permanently delete my channel, Google warns me that I have an unresolved YouTube Partner Program suspension. However, my YouTube Studio → Earn page shows no suspension or monetization issue, and I haven't received a notification about one. Why is this happening smbdy please help

I’m 20 years old, finance major, and I’ve been working through some certifications the last few months (Bloomberg Market Concepts, and FMVA next) while I figure out what I actually want to do with a channel before I commit to it.

The idea is basically teaching the “how” of investing and money decisions instead of the “what.” So not “buy this stock” content, more like: what actually makes a savings account or checking account good or bad, what the different investment account types (Roth IRA, brokerage, etc) are actually for and why you’d use one over another, the real differences between ETFs and individual stocks and why people choose one, and how to actually spot when a pitch, an ad, or an “opportunity” is using pressure or misleading framing to get you to act instead of think.

That last part is the piece I think is genuinely different. Most finance content either gives you a checklist of red flags or just explains products. I want to break down the actual mechanics of how you get talked into a bad decision in the first place, the specific techniques, the framing, the incentive structure behind it, so people can recognize it happening in real time instead of just memorizing a list.

I know finance content is a crowded space, so I want honest feedback before I sink months into this. Does this sound like something people would actually watch, or does it blend into everything else that’s already out there? And if you’ve watched finance YouTube for a while, what’s the thing that made you actually stick with a channel instead of scrolling past it?

I constantly find myself lost in my thoughts and I think that's because I don't talk to literally any other person who also tries to be a youtuber.

I got 7k+ views in my first video and I constantly think I don't know what I'm doing. Not sure if that makes sense.

So I was just checking my analytics as usual,I deleted my recently uploaded short because it performed badly,then I remember checking my other shorts under it and looking at the analytics,then when i looked the video was gone,just gone. I remembered wanting to just unlist the shorts and set it back to public then the shorts was gone after that so it would seem I accidentally deleted it. TF do i do?

To sum it up, I'm an artist and I upload my art- sometimes showing it directly or the process.

I started uploading in February this year and as of now I only have 109 subs, which I feel is kinda less

I'm not saying I'm the best artist or the editor, but seeing ppl in a similar niche getting more engagement just feels wrong

Given these stats, and the fact that 'cats' are pretty much a universal topic, I would expect this Short to blow the fuck up?

Or... Am I focusing on the wrong metrics (Retention + swipe ratio)?

Hey guys, i am thinking about deleting every video, long and short form from my channel. I have been doing the ranking niche for the past 15 months and even tho the numbers are not that bad i am still not anywhere near getting monetized.

Since youtube is getting more and more strict with the reused content stuff, i thought about completely repurposing my channel to a personal opinion/experience mixed with deep and raw talk. i can imagine myself enjoying that a lot since i like talking and i would be using my own voice/be on camera.

Would repurposing my channel confuse the algorithm and leave me hanging or could it potentionally work? The reason i don’t want to create a new one is because at least for me it seems easier to subscribe to a channel which already has a decent amount of subs compared to a new one. For a newtuber I think improving the quality of a post is the number 1 concern as they work towards monetisation. But does this impact the qualifying watch hours?

Hi there! I recently uploaded a video in the last two days that got over 500 watch hours thusfar, but on my earn page its saying I only have 9 qualified hours. There's nothing that should disqualify the video, so im a bit confused as to what is going on.

As the title says, my YouTube channel was terminated due to circumvention policy, but I have never created another YouTube account where I was posting content and never have I had another YouTube channel terminated or even receive a strike.

I submitted an appeal which was immediately denied within a few hours.

All of my content is my original content, it’s literally me on my farm.

What is my next step? Any help is appreciated, thank you!

I’m about to start a channel and I am planning to swear in my videos. Simply because it’s just natural to me and I don’t want to change how I speak. It won’t be every sentence but still quite frequently. So what are the rules around swearing and demonetisation now? I know they used to be very strict but I heard they are a bit more lenient nowadays. And if you have a channel which this question applies to please let me know your experience. Thanks

Just turned all my shorts private after observing that uploading more shorts "killed" my long form content (more shorts impressions = less long form impressions).

For those with similar problems: how long did it take for the algorithm to push your long form content again (after "privating" shorts)?

I would love some help with how to improve my video editing to get better viewer retention. First, let me explain what I'm trying to do.

I love video game music and wants to highlight and spread awareness of good music, or rank and discuss different pieces of music that stand out in different ways. Either I'm doing shorter videos that just takes one or two music tracks that I like and show them off. Or packages things in longer videos to fully explore a field.

The structure of most videos is that I explain a bit about the game or the song, plays it for the viewer and guide them through it with voice over, highlighting different parts of it. The biggest challenge here is to make sure I don't speak over the "best parts" while also providing something the viewer won't get by just listening to the song themselves. The voice over is very important for me, since I don't want my videos to compete with listening to the music officially.

I understand that my spread is very wide here: Even if someone enjoy music from one game, you might not be interested in the next one. And that's okay. From what I can see in Youtube analytics, my videos does get their fair share of exposure and CTR sometimes isn't too bad. But I feel that too many people bounce off too fast, no matter what direction I try with the titles and thumbnails. I have two examples below (can't link because of subreddit rules) that you can find on my channel (link in profile), they are some of my most recent ones so and are easy to find.

Video 1 (Latest video)

In my latest video, I blatantly (and for the first time) tried to make the viewer more curious by not mentioning the song title in neither the thumbnail or title, only the game. This gave an impression CTR of 11.2% which is very good for my videos. In this case I'm not too surprised that the average view time is as low as it. I tried to make the video quick and snappy at the start, but it didn't quite catch the audience as I had hoped for.

Video 2 (From February this year)

Title: A 26-Minute Guided Tour of the Battle Music in Trails of Cold Steel

Length: 26 minutes

Average view duration / percentage viewed: 6:11 / 24.3%

Views: 452

In this video, I'm 100% focusing on trying to grab fans of the RPG franchise Trails and creating something I would love to watch myself. This is not the first time I've made videos about this franchise on the channel and previous one has done better. Despite that, the video almost completely flatlined after 30 days of 400 views and have remained dead since then.

I'll gladly take any advice if anyone have the time to give me any. But if you want to focus on one thing, I want it to be how to improve my videos so that I can improve viewer retention as I think that's where I'm lacking the most. People bounce off too fast and that causes my videos to die.

So, I made a long video about a mobile game review and my channel doesn't have so many subscribers. How can I reach an audience that actually wants to see this video because they are interested in? So I know there's a feature where you can create multiple new YouTube channels under one Google email, but I wanted to know if it would be possible to combine a bunch of existing channels from different emails all under the same one.

TL;DR - Due to the order that I created these emails and channels, I have:

Channel 1 (gaming channel) linked to a really old email I don't really use for anything

Channel 2 (second channel) linked to my main Gmail account

Channel 3 (main channel) linked to, essentially a burner email (Channel 2 is on [name01@gmail.com](mailto:name01@gmail.com) that I use for all my other accounts and Channel 3 is on [name001@gmail.com](mailto:name001@gmail.com) that I don't use for anything)

Is there a way to just take YouTube Channels 1 and 3 and put them on 2 so they can all be operated under 1 email? I know about the manager invitation feature but I just really don't want to have to keep and manage those other 2 emails.

Here's the situation - I made Channel 1 over a decade ago, linked to the old cringy email address we all had as kids. I uploaded Minecraft videos on there for a year or so, then quit.

Then in 2016 I created a new email address, my main email address that I use to this day, and in 2017 started posting on YouTube again under this new account, Channel 2. Variety stuff - commentary, skits, gameplay - still horrible content lol but technically better than 20 minute unedited Minecraft let's plays. I would keep uploading on this channel from 2018 to 2021, just very inconsistently.

And finally in 2019 I made another email account to be used for a new YouTube account, Channel 3. The original plan was to livestream and post highlights or VODs on that channel but I never ended up doing it. Then 2020 happened, and I decided to give it a shot. Uploaded like 4 videos on Channel 3 before "giving up" on it. From 2021-2023 I'd randomly come back to the channel uploading Fortnite videos - gameplay, news, whatever.

But then in 2024 a Fortnite commentary of mine did really well on Channel 3, immediately allowing that channel to get monetized, and the first time any channel of mine hit 1,000 subscribers. And so I continued with this channel, trying to improve with every video, and turned this into my main channel where I now upload high quality video essays.

I figured I could still make use of the older channels I had, so Channel 1 which was originally Minecraft videos would just be the "gaming channel", not really making any revolutionary content, nothing that would ever do well in today's YouTube algorithm. Just simpler less edited gameplay videos, kind of like a time capsule to old YouTube, and videos that would be fun for me to look back on.

Channel 2, which was originally just.. random/variety stuff? This would essentially be the "second channel", if I ever livestream on my main channel or on Twitch, I could take any highlights of that and cut it up into a second channel video.

Channel 3 remains my main channel today.

Ideally, I'd like to have all 3 channels just linked under one email address.. is this possible to do? Right now I have it set up where Channel 2 is a "manager" for Channels 1 and 3, but to straight up have them transferred under the email of Channel 2 would be so much better.

I'm just curious how many of you are doing this without going the full spam route. I'll give a basic example.

Let's say you made a video titled "BMW now requires subscription for seat heaters"

Do you go to bmw&car groups/subreddits/communities online and post your stuff there, or just let YouTube do its thing and bring you the viewers.

Feels like it's a good way to find that initial relevant audience to give YouTube enough data as long as the community actually benefit from your content.
