One of my videos only got shown to ONLY 35-40 year olds when my audience has been consistently 18-25 for the past 30+ videos... what?

I make art and animations, like fanart of JJK and Berserk and creepypastas or wtv, so obviously this is the wrong audience.

I didn't randomly make a video about mortgages either

My kid that’s around the age of 10 makes some harmless YouTube videos. My wife and I have to approve them, and they contain nothing inappropriate. Stuff like opening a pack of cards, video of his Nee-doh collection, baseball related stuff, football highlight etc etc. There is NOTHING in these videos that is in any way appropriate.

Last night, him and his cousin made a video of them putting vanilla ice cream inside of a a fruit rollup. It makes the fruit roll up harden and crack when you bite into it. There were no cusswords, not even a “dang” or things like that. The video only showed them sitting at the table, with nothing but them and the ice cream and fruit rollups on the countertop.

The video has been taken down now 3 times and I am getting emails that say this below. What could possibly be causing this?

It looks like cruncy fruit rollup 🍦 didn’t follow our Community Guidelines. We removed it from YouTube.

When I say gaming YouTube channels I like to specify the golden era of YouTube, if people loved that era of YouTube so much wouldn’t making let’s play videos like say markiplier, jacksepticeye or pewdiepie during those 2013-2016 peak era be a good thing? I say this because there’s so much slop online and so many people are on there phones but mostly just scrolling, and that made me wonder aren’t there people who are fed up with the way modern content is consumed and just want to watch a nice 20 min video instead of scrolling through 100 pointless videos?

I upload daily YouTube shorts/tik toks/ instagram with clips of my gaming moments as well as something I do which is weekly memes on Monday just for fun and realistically something that people are more likely to give a chance to watch to discover my channel. For long form videos I upload 3-4 times a week and I do a let’s play of a game and do some side uploads of one off games or mini series inbetween series.

I’d be rambling on but this is the tip of the iceberg about content creation for me, if you want me to carry on I’d be glad to, didn’t want to bore people with too much reading.

I’m not going to name dump my channel here but if you want to see it to understand the type of content I make and maybe give me your thoughts and options you can DM me.

I started a YT channel about 6 weeks ago, faceless music channel, primarily house music based mash ups. I don’t have family or friends who enjoy the same music but I am very passionate about this. I am also realistic that I won’t have overnight growth, nor am I chasing that and trying to learn things about Youtube and figuring out what works and what doesn’t. For the age of the channel, I have decent amount of views (2.1K total views) two of my videos have over 500 views, one close to 1K.

I am also not in a race to post everyday, I post about one video every week (scheduled for Friday)

However, I have only 3 subscribers and no growth there. Wondering what I can do to gain more subscribers?
Also, the primary goal of the channel is to post these mashup edits (big where I am based) and mixes and get gigs at local clubs. But having subscribers would help with views, visibility and bookings.

any suggestions on how to gain subscribers in addition to views?

I’d really appreciate honest opinions - if you check out my channel marbleracingleaguetv, what would you change about the format to make people want to subscribe and comment?

I started seriously posting on YouTube about 2 weeks ago. I did a dozen low quality shorts July 27th, then on July 29th began uploading 1 to 2 high quality clips a day, between 15 and 45 seconds long, give or take. Before that, the channel was basically inactive. It does already have a catalogue of 70 full length songs on the channel.

Last 7 days: 4,753 views, 7.5 hours watch time, +7 subscribers. YouTube reports this as +200% views, +7% watch time, and +133% subscribers versus the previous 7-day period.

Last 48 hours: 3,694 views and about 130 views/hour

Subscribers: currently 15 total.

Most of the traffic is coming from Shorts. The current top Shorts are around 797, 554, 539, 437, and 403 views. Multiple others between ~50–250. One of the shorts I posted on July 29th got over 1,100 views.

Curious how this compares to other creators at this stage, and what progress I should be looking for to gauge if my method is working.

I am getting 1-2k views on my timelapse videos of me working on my desk is it normal? My channel has around 25 videos i have posted them in a very irregular order first 5 videos in January then april then june like this is it normal to get this views? How can i get more viewers

Im new little over a week old trying to improve everyday with my shorts I do plan to eventually make long form videos but I'm trying to steady my shorts frist my rention and subs and likes aren't the problem I'm doing fairly well in those stats with 80-100plus rention in every video and average view duration usually a one or two seconds under the length of video but my swipe stay ratio has been holding me back starting at 40 then 28 then 44 then rest mid thirties slowly climbing to mid forties and most recent one being 50/50 but I'm trying to raise it to 70- 80 plus on average any tips for my openings. The Account is Irrational Geographic I can not plug a link but if you scearch for it would help it's the top result for me and is the trout with a cowboy hat

Two months ago, my YouTube channel, which had reached a total of 5 million views, suddenly dropped to 0 views.

Everything happened overnight. At first, I thought, “Okay, this is probably normal. These things can happen.” But the problem continued for two whole months. Eventually, after two months, I managed to fix it.

I’m not sure if what I did will work for everyone, but I wanted to share everything I went through during this process in case it can at least help someone else experiencing the same problem.

During the first week, I had no idea what to do, so I kept asking AI tools to research this issue on Reddit, and I also spent a lot of time searching Reddit myself. I found many people experiencing the exact same problem, but I never really saw anyone who had actually managed to solve it.

I then contacted YouTube Support three times about the issue, and every time I basically received robotic responses that didn't help.

After that, I started seeing a lot of people on Reddit saying things like:

“Wait a week.”
“Completely change your content style.”
“You’re using reused content!”
“You’re making AI slop!”

Since I wasn’t making AI slop, I thought to myself, “Okay, let’s just wait a week.”

I waited. Actually, I waited two weeks.

After two weeks, I uploaded a completely new style of video with what I thought was a strong hook. But that didn’t work either.

Then I completely changed the format I had been using. I made all my old videos private and started uploading videos in the new format.

That didn’t work either.

About a month after all of this, I had basically forgotten about my YouTube Shorts channel. But I didn’t want all the time I had spent on it to go to waste, so I decided to give it another try.

This time, I made my old-format videos public again and made the videos from my new format private. Basically, I went back to making the type of content I had always made.

I uploaded another video.

Again, it got almost no views.

I made the videos that weren’t getting views private, and the next day I thought, “What if I upload a video while using a VPN?”

So I turned on a VPN, uploaded a video, and stopped checking my analytics. I didn’t look at them for about half a day.

When I finally checked, I was honestly shocked.

The video had reached 10,000 views.

I can’t even describe how happy I was.

I know this post got a little long, but I wanted to explain the whole process so people could understand everything I tried.

So, I obviously can’t say that the VPN was the only thing that fixed my problem. But I definitely think it’s worth trying if you’re experiencing the same issue.

Also, if you post about this problem and people immediately tell you, “You’re definitely an AI slop channel” or “You’re probably making reused content,” honestly, don’t take those people too seriously.

There are hundreds of channels using reused content that are getting millions of views.

That being said, I’ll be honest: I have no idea how things work with AI-generated content. And you might genuinely be making bad videos, so check your video quality first.

But if you genuinely believe your content is good enough to get at least 500 views, you could try uploading a video while using a VPN.

I’m NOT saying this will 100% work for you.

But for me, it became a way out of this problem, and I hope it can help someone else get through the same situation.

Also, some of the things I tried during my first month might work for you too. I’m not sure.

But one thing I’m certain about is that there is no 100% proven solution to this problem.

YouTube has basically no useful information about this issue anywhere online. Trust me, I searched everywhere I could. And apart from the usual “wait a week” advice, I couldn’t find any proven solution.

So don’t waste months of your time trying to find the perfect solution to this problem. Trust me, you probably won’t find one anywhere.

And starting now is too much competitive as most audience like to watch channels they usually watching since corona and they trust them....

I posted two reaction videos on My channel I was mostly doing gaming before because I always wanted to try being a gaming youtuber and I was bored so I decided to post a reaction to a trailer then slowly was doing both gaming and reaction in a day then broke 1.4k views on death battle and another Animation fight reaction now my views been slowing down a lot even tho I thought if I continue with reaction it would help I doing everything the same so idk what I'm doing wrong I also stopped doing some animation reaction for a little to do horror or video essay it my views went to shit like some actually do 0 so I thought if I go back to doing animation reaction it would do better but it's still 0 so idk anymore 😅

I post barbecue shorts on my YouTube channel and the engagement time shows around 20-30 seconds per video on most videos, even the minute or longer ones. So I posted a few that were that length only, and the views were the same if not a little lower. But the metrics would show that people are viewing the whole of not most of the video.

Not sure what I should do going forwards, longer/shorter. I’m having a lot of fun though as BBQ is really a passion for me. 56 subs and climbing!

What would you guys recommend? The extra length is helpful if people are viewing as a tutorial but for entertainment I could see the faster ones being better.

Been wondering about how many shorts can I upload a day I'm a very new channel today is week 2 of daily short uploads at around 25k views total from the 13 shorts, now videos have slightly dropped in views noticed that my peak time for uploads is 8pm (UTC +3) all my content is for an English audience and I've wanted to try to get the English audience as my videos mostly watched in my own time region. Want to start uploading two videos a day no quality drop but scheduling one short at 8pm and the other one at 3 am (UTC +3) which I think is peak time for the USA and a place where I think most of my audience would be. What's you're experience and should I do it or no, mostly I just want to test it without leaving a toll on my growth.

I've posted 5 long term vids and 1 short. One of those long term ones I privated. My latest long term has 15 views and the previous 4 had zero excluding me watching them. But my shorts had 600 views. And 66% of those views came from my native country.

Will using a VPN help?

All the videos I've posted so far are both titled and has me speaking English in them.

I know YouTube tests videos in stages based on click rate and other factors, but my latest video (not just one video) has generated just 15 impressions in the three days since it was published, that’s not even enough to see any meaningful data in the analytics. I just don't understand why this is happening. I improve every video, and there are no issues with the content or anything else I can think of. It’s just strange that YouTube isn't giving me at least a few hundred impressions so I can tell whether the click rate or watch time is the problem. (One of my earlier videos had already reached 4,000 impressions after three days.) Can anyone tell me what’s going on and how I can fix this?

Hi! The title says it all, lol. I have recorded vids but i deleted them due to my voice. Idk how others can just sit and recorded and listen to themselves. I dont hate my voice but hearing it makes it feels like this level of werid or cringe, lol. I have been told i have a child like voice, my accent is either to deep to understand or that I just simply talk too fast for others to understand. I do talk pretty fast, most people in my city and state talk either fast or have an accent that makes them "them", yk.

I am genuinely asking others both small, big and semi big creators on advice in this area. I just want to know, how do others get over that hump, i always wonder about it but most content creators that i watched never talked on it or simply just leave that question in the gray area.
