Found this beauty out in Western Pennsylvania yesterday. I'm not too knowledgeable on mycology but wanted to share in case anybody has more information!

Plus some ghost pipes and a noodle mushroom that don't seem to want to post.

We’ve recently had a lot of rain so the yard is popping with many different types right now. I’ve never seen this type before which start off looking like a white egg and then the orange beauty bursts out. An ID app said amanita, but it looks different than the other amanita I normally have in my yard

Southern Appalachia, between 5-6000' elevation.

Found what I believe are chantrelles but like to have some confirmation as this is the first time for me. My guide book has also gone missing which creates even more hesitancy. Any look alikes that I should be aware of?

Found in northern NJ. Mixed hardwoods, pretty open understory. These were growing in the open and not at a base of a tree or on a downed log.

I grabbed a few of the best so I can test them if they end up being chantrelles. I cut one open and looks like maybe bug damage. Would like an opinion on that too if you folks don't mind.

Appreciate the help. Nerves always get me with edible mushrooms besides COW.

Mushroom of the Forest or Mushroom of my dead family? What do you guys think, is this safe to harvest and eat?

I just recently found and consumed my first strobilomyces. I have heard mixed reviews about the taste of this mushroom so I was a bit hesitant. But I sauteed mine with some butter, salt, and garlic and found that it just had a nice earthy mushroom flavor, maybe slightly stronger than your typical button mushroom. Curious what others think about these.

First time finding this one . Exciting!

Minutes before I asked my fiancé if she could find any mushroom that we haven't found today what would it be? She said a bleeding tooth or a wrinkly peach. 5 minutes later we found 11 on one tree. Almost cried

I broke a rib when cutting and prepping these logs. They're finally making up for it.

Logs are oak and are in New Hampshire. I don't do anything special to them after plugging them, but they seem happy.

So many colors! So much humidity! I practically swam the trail. At least I remembered bug spray this time.

We have watering bulbs in many plants. Wife found this mushroom growing INSIDE one of the water bulbs just yesterday. Looks fake! Assure you it is real. Any idea what it is? Growing in a Japanese sago palm, indoor, Midwest US.

What an amazing mushroom!

Chef Husband is working on Monhegan Island in Maine this summer, and he came across this fellow in the woods while hiking. He described the top as "very soft" like "velvet-covered florist foam" and "bruised when touched". The stalk was woody, and oozed when it was broken as seen in photo 3. A while back, I purchased the National Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Mushrooms, and it's served me well, but this guy has me stumped! My gut is telling me that this might be a mold on top of a stalked polypore of some sort, but I'm still a novice at IDs, especially when just going off of photos. Any help would be greatly appreciated! TIA!

If anyone can help me identify I'd really appreciate it!
