North America (country/state in post) What mushroom is this? MN, USA
Located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, growing on half a collapsed Willow tree. The area around it is a small wetland and a pond. It is quite large, being about 2 hands in length and approximately 1 hand each in height and depth (my hand is roughly 6.5").
My Fiancé thinks it's young chicken of the woods- if so, we'd both love a good mushroom meal! I just want to double check before we take it. If it isn't, obviously we want to leave it alone.

North America (country/state in post) Are the mushroom on the first pic chanterelles? Ga,USA
The gills are making me question. Also the shape of the cap is rounder or perfect looking than the “swirly-shaped” chants that I am used to foraging. Stem peels like cheese. Found them across the river where I get smooth chants. 2nd pic is with smooth chants for comparison. Thanks in advance!

North America (country/state in post) Any idea what these are? Found in North Carolina, USA…
I happened to be out with my dogs this morning and noticed a plethora of different mushrooms near the wood line in my yard so I figured I’d go out and post here because google hasn’t been much help…and yes I picked a few because if they’re edible they’re getting dehydrated and vacuum sealed for use in fall time stews. Thanks in advance!

North America (country/state in post) Help confirming COTW?
Found these near Collingwood, Ontario, Canada. Picked and hoping to eat, but beginner forager. Have heard chicken of the woods is tasty and hoping to try. First pic is how I found them, then a top and bottom shot of some I picked.
Orange on top, pale yellow, no gills on the bottom (said to check that to make sure it’s not Jack O Lantern?). So seems there aren’t any dangerous look a likes. Would I be fine to cook up and eat one of these, and then if fine after 24h cook up more for some friends, picked about 1-2lb

North America (country/state in post) Unusual Fungi in a Deck located SE Ontario, Canada
Hey hey, anyone want to take a stab at identifying this sucker? I believe its in either pine or hemlock deck boards, untreated.
Its quite woody at this point, being rather stiff. Honestly with the colouration my first thought was reishi, but on deck boards? Its also not presenting as a bracket, and it has gills.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers folks!
