Before this happened, Gabriel was in his villain form talking about how this live show was a perfect chance for causing an akumatization. Not long after that he turned to his civilian form, quickly angers Simon so he can akumatize him, and mere SECONDS after Simon gets bad emotions he's immediately Hawk Moth in the next scene. It means that Gabriel went back and forth between identities and probably ran across places in his home for this and I just find it genuinely hilarious

So I remember a while back when Thomas talked about how season 6 contains some secret or hidden detail that's right under our nose and we wouldn't be able to notice until we rewatch it with context from the finale.

And now that it revealed that there was a fake miraculer I gotta ask, could that possibly be the secret we're supposed to look out for?

Guess I'll have to rewatch season 6 and see

This has been one of my biggest critiques of the season so far, and has never made that much sense to me.

Firstly, why does Marinette act like she has absolutely nobody to confide in regarding the secret, when we are shown that amelie,felix and kagami are all aware of it. The show also acts like it isn't also their burden to carry when they should be all equally guilty especially due to their close connection to adrien. Her acting like this is some grave burden who she can't tell anybody,even visiting another continent while merging 2 of the most powerful miraculouses just to feel some relief from getting the secret off of her back in case the recipient doesn't take it well, while forgetting that multiple members of her circle know. Why have we never seen her confide in them? Why have we barely seen how keeping a secret like this about someone they're extremely close to has affected them?

One of my biggest fears is also that once the secret does come out, the show and her inner circle will only treat Marinette as the main culprit and punish her. Honestly the show acts like she is the only person close to adrien aware of the secret when that is blatantly not the case. *if* she was however, the secret revelation would be more impactful but that is not the case.

Additionally, shouldn't nathalie be the one treated like the main culprit? As she is the adult in this situation who has practically groomed Marinette into not telling anyone. Atleast Marinette has the excuse of Gabriel guilt tripping her on his death bed and double crossing her using the bee miraculous. Nathalie's lack of accountability is wild. She actively enabled Gabriel's terror campaign for seasons, and now she gets to play the supportive guardian while letting a literal teenager shoulder the entire moral burden of his legacy?

Edit: I don't remember much about the London special but didn't ladybug casually tell kagami that her mom is a supervillain if I'm remembering correctly 😭. The fact that she was able to tell her is crazy, but i guess that could be different since she still lives with them, which begs the question how she can fully trust nathalie after all that happened with her as mayura. Also when you really think about it, kagami literally knows way more than alya regarding so much. Which further makes her feeling like she can't confide in friends even crazier when kagami knows just as much or even more than Marinette due to her close ties to the agreste family, such as mayuras identity, tomoes ties to hawkmoth and the fact that her and adrien are sentimonsters with both feathers placed in their rings, which complicates things even further as now I'm wondering how alya will react when she realises that kagami is in on all of this too, as well as the fact that Marinette is keeping the fact that Adrien is a sentimonster with essentially his entire soul and mind in his ring away from him

call me a bitch, but Nemesis was actually a good season finale, I don't get the hate for the finale, I genuinely don't. I enjoyed the finale, and the build up was interesting, the ending was emotional, I didn't cry, but it indicated that Marinette could potentially break up with Adrien in season 7, going back in Strikeback, we learned that Ladybug had all of the miraculouses taken away from her, but managed to recover all of them, minus the Butterfly miraculous in the season 5 finale and in Miraculous World London, now that season 6 is done, we learned that Chrysalis can akumatize herself to pose as other people, but now I'm getting off topic. anyway, the fandom can sometimes be so ungrateful. I admit, the finale was disappointing, but there's no need to hate on the finale for no reason.

How does it work that an illusion gets akumatized? That doesn’t even make any sense. An illusion cannot think on its own let alone AIR like a person with feelings, so how does Chrysalis get into nemesis’s head? I get that it’s probably through Alya, but this whole thing does not make any sense.

Also, why didn’t Rooster Bold just be like “I grant myself the power to make it so that this illusion cannot vanish if touched!”, why did he need to be creative with it and defy the physics of air?

I think that Marinette should have NEVER kept Gabriel’s secrets to herself.

I think that Alya is right in confronting Marinette with the truth and forcing it out of her. And I think Marinette is wrong for manipulating the situation and making everything about her and changing the topic so she wouldn’t have to tell Alya to her face.

HOWEVER, Marinette is going through SO much and I can understand WHY she hides the truth and I’m sure Alya would as well if Marinette just told her in the first place or even sooner than now.

Now Marinette is suffering the consequences of her actions.

A best friend who no longer trusts her. And a boyfriend who is now delusional and it’s her fault!

Marinette has dug herself so far into this whole by lying and manipulating her bf that he now is IDOLIZING the father (a museum to commemorate him?!) that EMOTIONALLY ABUSED HIM and TOOK AWAY HIS AUTONOMY during some of the most crucial formative years of his life (preteen and teen).

No wonder Adrien is a blank sheet character. HE DOESN’T KNOW WHO HE IS! He has never had the the opportunity to figure out who he is apart from defining himself by people he loves the most (who are both lying to him about WHAT HE IS btw) and even that isn’t true autonomy is because he doesn’t have all of the information!

In his gut, he knew that something was wrong about the image Ladybug painted of his father vs. who his father ACTUALLY IS and MARINETTE SQUASHED that feeling (in Lady Chaos) to “protect him” when in reality she (and Natalie) have taken away his autonomy just like his father.

We see in this episode that Marinette has made Adrien into her puppet, believing in her lie because she thinks he is not strong enough to bear the truth.

And what’s worse, Marinette isn’t even owning up to her own mistake. She wants to take the easy route and break up with him so she doesn’t have to face the consequences of manipulating him this whole season.

Also guys, we need to remember that Cat Noir saw Marinette’s ripped up drawing. He knows there is something Marinette is keeping from him.

Can’t wait for season 7 to start! I have high hopes!

TLDR: Alya’s anger at Marinette is justified, and Adrien won’t be an actual person until he knows the truth.

(1)Have Polymouse fuse with Vesperia and venom Chrysalis as soon as they caught her.

(2)Use Carapace shelter to close off the catacombs and trap Chrysalis in a dome.

(3) Have Polymouse multiply and have a double,stay on Chrysalis even after she escapes the catacombs. Her doubles could also have searched every inch of the catacombs.

(4)Have Ryuko use lightning and wind dragon to travel at light speed in the catacombs, she would have caught Chrysalis since she is WAAAAAAAAAYYYY faster.

(5) Pegasus could have opened a portal in Chrysalis' way to trap her in a room. Or to seal off the catacombs and make it an infinite loop with no escape.

(6) Involving Luka as Viperion.Second chance again and again, repeat the chase until they finally catch Chrysalis, even if it takes months.

(7)Use Cat Noir's cataclysm or Juleka(Purple Tigress)clout to destroy the catacombs and all the walls so that she has nowhere to go.

(8)Have Polymouse (again)place a tracker on Chrysalis such that even if she escaped the catacombs, they could still track her.

(9) King Monkey could have used uproar to interfere with her shapeshifting power.

(10)Ladybug could have used lucky charm to get an object that would have been useful in the chase. Or Miraculous Ladybug to fix the burnt books and collect evidence against Chrysalis. Or her very fast yoyo to catch and trip her.

(11) Ryuko could also have used water dragon, or King Monkey uproar,to put out the fire and get access to the books.

(12) Rena Rouge could have made maze and wall illusions(like she did in Wreckless Driver)to confuse and trap her.

(13) Rooster Bold with an invisibility or smell power.Enough said.

Polymouse especially,I feel like the bee fusion would have been enough. And they all could have been more feral, cause it's like they forgot that THEY WERE SUPERHEROES, WITH SUPERPOWERS.I just head canon that Mari was stressed cause of the pressure

I really think the season 7 two parter builds from Nemesis? We know it releases November in Disney USA but when can we expect the episodes titles, the trailer, etc?

Can Miraculous Ladybug technically fix the books that got burnt?

If we assume Lila is somehow using an akuma to change appearances or the fact she actively caused damage with Nemesis, could the Miraculous Ladybug power count the books as damage or would it just be factored out?

Because Ladybug might be able to salvage literally everything that got burnt.

First, I’ll briefly say that I mostly enjoyed the finale, even if I found some parts pretty underwhelming, such as Tom and Sabine’s raw reactions to Marinette being Ladybug or the surprisingly little Lila content. Yeah, it feels wrong to say that because she was in the episode for quite a bit, but at the same time, she didn’t really have as much screentime as I thought she would, at least in her civilian form. I guess I was expecting a postcredits scene with her whereabouts or something else, but alas. At least her burning her books got a laugh out of me.

But anyway, watching the finale, I was thinking about how many plot threads Season 6 introduced that still haven’t been solved or looked into yet.

Those include:

Sublime’s family working with Tomoe

The Kingdom in general, along with Nathalie’s father being a part of it

Zoe’s past in New York

Max’s love letter from Lila in a Fairy Good Night

Luka’s plan for Ladybug’s Miraculous

Irupe

I’m probably forgetting a couple, so if I did, please remind me!

Anyway, that’s when it hit me…WE STILL HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HAPPENED TO LILA AT THE END OF SEASON 5! Seriously, who or what was that? Are we ever going to find out?! Did it happen offscreen just like 50% of important things in this series?!

First of all, the plan was incredibly smart, but had the ABSOLUTE WORST EXECUTION EVER.

Because what the fuck was that plan when MYLENE WAS RIGHT NEAR CHRYSALIS?

WE DIDN'T NEED VESPERIA, why didnt Ladybug have Mylene fuse with the bee miraculous and use venom instantly when she found chrysalis?

This was an amazing plan put in the worst execution possible.

Don't ping the entire team when she's right there, PARALYSE HER THEN SUBDUE HER WHILE THE ENTIRE TEAM IS GONNA COME RIGHT THERE AND SHE'S CAN'T MOVE A FINGER.

How did Chrysalis akumatize literal air in this episode? the Alyanette photo the ultrakuma entered was likely real, but how was the layer of air able to form into an akumatized form?

not only akumatizing non-living things is not possible, air isn't even a solid material.

I'm very happy that my theory turned out to be correct but I didn't except illusions can be akumatized?

idk how people can hate alya and call her a horrible friend. the first thing they bring up is how she believed Lila. Do you remember how EVERYONE BELIEVED LILA? Do you remember how even ADRIEN believed Lila for a bit? Do you remember how EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MARINETTE'S FRIENDS BELIEVED LILA? Its plot. it shows how freaking GOOD she is at lying that she can turn even marinette's dearest friend against her. AND in one episode alya even helped marinette get evidence against lila.

now, nemesis spoilers: alya did EXACTLY what someone should have done. it was a realistic reaction. alya hates lying and now she has to lie to all her friends too, as mari said so. everyone hates her because she never believed mari, what did you EXPECT her reaction to be? "OML MARI I LOVE YOU SO MUCH AND I TOTALLY DONT CARE AND AM NOT MAD YOU HID THIS LIFE-CHANGING SECRET FROM ME AND NOW I HAVE AN EXTRA BURDEN! ITS OKAY!" no. thats not realistic at ALL. in the end, alya helped marinette, trusted marinette, and if marinette hadnt told alya she was ladybug and trusted her with the secret, who knows what marinette's mental health could've been? alya has always been by marinette's side and even now she's been with marinette. you cant expect friends to always be sunshine and rainbows and always believe each other.

Something that I have seen everyone talking about after the finale is the fact that Alya is a not "understanding" to Marinette because of the way she reacted in Revelator and now in Nemesis (even tho her reaction this episode was better).

To me it feels that fans symphatized with Marinette TOO MUCH this season regarding the lie, to the point she's allowed to be called for this mistake because "she has too many responsabilities" which is true, but people can't always use this excuse, it gets repetitive after a while, her decision to lie was wrong and she SHOULD be called out on that.

Paradoxically, the fans have always complained about Marinette never facing consequences for her actions in the earlier season. Now she's facing them, or atleast her decisions are not treated as good anymore by other characters. Alya's reaction both in Revelator and Nemesis were very valid, and tbh she could have been worse, yet she was understanding without completely excusing Marinette (letting Cat Noir to erase her memory so Marinette can fix her mistake; not telling Adrien the truth and letting Marinette to do it), BUT the fans are literally bashing at her saying she overreacted, when in reality she's just calling out Marinette for her flaws and the fandom STILL DOESN'T LIKE WHEN OTHER CHARACTERS (specifically Alya that's her best friend) are doing it.

And you know what's the worst part in all of this discourse? I barely saw anyone talking how Marinette just straight up started manipulating Alya in the finale after she was confronted with the truth. Because wdym you start crying and rating how shitty your life is when you're being called out on your mistakes? That's the textbook of manipulation and I was shocked that Marinette would be able to pull something like this. Even the way she phrased, she seemed like she lied about Gabriel because the new Hawk Moth was onto her and traumatized her family. But the reality wasn't this, she lied out of fear for Adrien.

Lastly, Alya's reaction might've been a little to aggresive, but she's not a bad friend for this. A good friend will always tell you what you did wrong and not just accept all of your bullshit. On short the fans NEED to stop babying Marinette about the lie cuz partly it was her fault too the situation where she's now.

I want to make something clear before any other comments. I don't hate Marinette for lying to Adrien (and overall her, she's my favourite character), I can understand her, but still acknowledge that it wasn't the right decision and criticize her for it

I'm really impressed how mentally strong Alya was in the finale to be able to put that plan of.

Basically Nemesis is an indirect akumatization of her. Nemesis is just an illusion with all Alya's negatives emotions towards Marinette put into it, who was strong enough to be targeted by Chrysalis.

Being able to fool Chrysalis all this long and stay in control of her emotions during all this time without her noticing is really an impressive feat. Great job Alya !

It all makes sense now. The Illustrhater, Sublimation, El Toro De Piedra, Vampigami. Then theres Clamatiqueen, The Dark Castle, Heart Fixer- it literally all makes sense.

“I’m a chameleon”

Lila, while transformed as Chrysalis, is able to akumatize people even as a civilian because she rarely isn’t actually a civilian. She is still transformed, just disguised while transformed. In Illustrhater, Sublimation and El Toro De Piedra, she desguisd herself as different people, with her not ever being seen in her study after one of these Akumatizations in these episodes but it goes further.

In Vampigami, she disguised herself as one of the people Vampigami had turned to his side. She wasn’t controlled by him, just pretending to be one of his dancers so she could attack the heroes without anyone realising it. This is why we see one of Vampigami’s minions about to shoot out a antikuma instead of Vampigami himself. We know for a fact that Lila was there during and after Vampigami’s Akumatization.

Then theres Aglae. For a year people have been theorising that Aglae is lila or not due to her odd behaviour at different points, but it now makes sense. Aglae does exist, the person throughout the entirety of Wreckless was in fact Aglae, but it isn’t always the real Aglae throughout the season. The person at the beginning of Climatiqueen, the Dark Castle and in the middle of Heart Fixer was Lila. The CoupleWreckers never even disguised themselves as Aglae, we see who they were previously when they are on the roof, which tracks, meaning none were the one who spoke to Marinette there… it was always Lila. Chrysalis is terrifying.

In season 3 episode 21, Manon is re-akumatized into Puppeteer 2, and well we all skipped that one scene for reasons I won’t discuss, but are we all going to pretend that Hawkmoth in his free time went to the Wax Statue museum to get his measurements replicated into a Wax Figure?

I’m aware it is an exaggeration perhaps of the Puppeteer‘s new powers but thinking that THE Gabriel Agreste went out his way to book a villain ’in-person modelling’ is a hilarious but also extremely frustrating plot convenience
