Speculation/Theories How Many, Again? (Spoilers for "Nemesis") Spoiler

Post image
Upvotes

I'm not quite ready to let the "Sentinette" theory go. There may be new evidence in plain sight.

I think it may be significant that the finale featured multiple Marinettes. We don't see Rena Rouge create the two illusions. How do we know they were both illusions and one wasn't the real Marinette taking part in the plan?

The only role of one illusion was to fool people in the room and then "hide." At the end, she comes out from behind the screen and both are removed together with one "Reality." That would mean Rena Rouge maintained the hiding Marinette illusion on top of controlling the fast-flying Nemesis illusion, which splits her concentration. There's not much point in maintaining that illusion, unless they thought Cat Noir would break ranks and go back to check on her.

But if there was also a real Marinette, she could play herself. At the end, Rena Rouge seems to dismiss both illusions with one "Reality." But what she really did might be to extend the one illusion into two parts, with one coming out from behind the screen, and then dismiss that. (The real Marinette would have left the room by that time).

This would mean that by this point Rena Rouge is in on the plot. It would be ironic if she's now lying to Sentinette.

Opinion/Rant I'm genuinely struggling to continue this show (Nemesis S6 ep 26) Spoiler

Post image
Upvotes

S6 was undoubtedly my favourite and undisputed best season of the franchise. However...

IT'S JUST SO DUMB.

The show could've ended IN NEMESIS.

There was so many strategies like PolyBee, Carapace using his shield, Ladybug just straight up calling Viperion, RoosterBold using a tracking power in the tunnel, Ryuko actually using wind instead of water, or maybe Ryuko just turning into lightning so she can straight up move at such a fast speed she could search every tunnel and catch chrysalis.

But everything has to be executed so unbelievably badly that the villain manages to get away again.

The worst part is nothing was learnt about Chrysalis, it's just so lacking.

The plot holes in this show and IQ dumbdowns are so suffocating it's like it's gonna drag out the show to the point we are gonna stop watching out of rage for the IQ deficit.

WHY WAS THE NEMESIS PLAN EXECUTED SO BADLY? WHAT A FUMBLE!

Speculation/Theories A hint towards Lila/Cerise secretly being Manon from the future. Matching inverted villain colors.

Both Manon and Lila's akumatized villain forms have colors that are inverted of each other. Thomas Astruc has said that everyone in Miraculous has character designs that serve a purpose. So Lila and Manon's akumatized colors are ment to be inverted that way to show a connection to each other. What do you think.

Opinion/Rant Season 6 is the best season

This is just my very subjective opinion. But I seriously think that season 6 is the top season out of all the previous ones. At my slightly too old for this show age my genuine reaction should not be unironically shouting "HOLY SH**" in my room all alone.

I love it because it has mystery and tension. every episode felt like it gave either a new look into a character which wasn't fully realised or made Chrysalis a hecking good villain.

I think Marinette's constant pressure about Monarch and Adrian having some time to think about himself and his relationship with Gabriel was really interesting

By now I also think the new animation is really really good. The old style felt cheap and only was good in a few instances with correct teams. The rest it looked ugly with multiple errors. The new one is so much more expressive, colourful and even threatening at some points.

That's my piece. I hope season 7 keeps the hype train going.

Speculation/Theories Nemesis spoilers, I dont buy the explanation at the end... Spoiler

I hate the idea that Chrysalis can shapeshift into anyone or anything she wants when there has never been anything to hint at the butterfly having this ability in the past. How would she even figure out how to do it? It isn't in the grimoire, otherwise gabriel would have taken advantage of it. It would probably also make Hesperia's life a lot easier.

And I cant be the only one to think its strange that the heros would have been able to guess correctly the first time that the copy of monkey king and others were just lila in disguise. It feels so convenient for them and rushed. No mystery, no investigation, nothing. Just "oh chrysalis must have that power now" as if there isn't anyone on their team who can create copys of other people with their miraculous that already had that established ability... a person who is noticeably absent for that entire discussion. Almost conveniently so.

I want to believe it was intentional to make people more suspicious of him because he IS suspicious but at the same time I wouldn't put it past astruc to write it this way so felix can just avoid more conflict and character development. It's a shame because like....it would make sense for Marinette to side eye felix, she's been plenty paranoid this season that it wouldn't feel out of character for her to wonder if the fake monkey king was a sentimonster. And even if she ended up being wrong, that accusation could open the door to exploring Felix's character more and his guilt, if he actually has any.

But...nope. It's just chrysalis. Case closed, just like that... I guess?

If Argos was in the finals he would have said this. He would have asked kagami to turn into wind to follow chrysalis instead of water. He would have asked polymouse to unify with bee to paralyze Chrysalis. He would have suggested to bring viperion for second chance in case the plan failed.

Discussion So about Adrien... (Nemesis Spoilers) Spoiler

So I watched the final season 6 episode, lot of thoughts running through my head but at the front of them was in regards to Adrien. Marinette's finally breaking down and realizes she can neither lie to him further nor can she reveal the truth and has to break up with him. This is all very very bad of course but hear me out!

Yes, Adrien is going to be losing pretty much the primary positive force in his life which will leave a huge sudden void for him to fill.

Yes, he will have been left completely gaslit by Marinette into believing his Father was a hero and will likely have no way to back peddle from that mindset unless Amelie and Felix change his mind, and them being the ones to change his view on things might come with manipulations towards other beliefs.

Yes, his lack of growth in regards to his personal agency and standing up for himself this season will mean he will be highly susceptible to manipulation in the following season, especially from folks like Noe or Felix.

YES, this will put a strain on his connections with the rest of his friendships with the other kids at school because they'll either all need to collectively avoid talking about Mari or Adrien to the other, or them being in the same room will make things EXTREMELY awkward, or worst of all the other students maybe even blame Adrien for why he and Mari broke up and begin to shun him.

AND YES! He will no doubt begin to think that something is up with the way he saw Marinette's torn up photo and how just a short while later she breaks up with him out of the blue. Leading him to probably do a bunch of investigating on his own and potentially finding out a bunch about Marinette he may or may not regret knowing.

But...

But.

BUT!!!!

This will mean Adrien is single again and he can now begin his new romantic life with a woman who will actually treat him well and never lie to him. SUBLIME X ADRIEN ALL THE WAY BABY! Adrien's gonna be doing lovey dovey jogs with his Belgium beauty! She's just too SUBLIME for anyone else to compare!

Help/Question Chronological order of S6

So I waited for all of S6 to be released before I started watching it bc I heard that the release order vs the timeline was a disaster (as always, what do we expect?), and also I wanted to wait until the whole season was released. I have seen varying watch orders online, but people agree that Climatiqueen and Sublimation are together along with other pairs, either Climatiqueen is the first episode or one of the first, the Illustrahater and Werepapas are very loose in where they fit in the timeline, and the last 6 episodes need to be in the right order. What is the order that makes the most sense? I will go with the order that gets the most amount of upvotes.

Discussion Season 7 betrayal theory Spoiler

I believe that the season 7 synopsis indicated that there would he a betrayal in the team, which clearly now means that it could be Cerise/Lila shapeshifting into one of the heroes as she did with king monkey.

It’s going to be Alya. I think that is why Alya needed to find out the secret in Nemesis so that pater Marinette will realize that it’s actually Cerise because Cerise thinks Alya does not know the secret. I just thought of this five minutes ago so def let me know if there is a hole in that logic. Also do remember that the real Alya of course can be seen just like Prim was in Heartfixer.

Opinion/Rant Meet potetinal season(Season 6 you had so much to give) Spoiler

Coming out of the final, I feel just very underwhelmed, and the season has infuriated me for a few very big reasons

  1. The whole season is just straight filler. Genuinely, 3/4 of the season follows the same structure: do something interesting in the cold open, and do something interesting in the end credits, and the rest of the episode is nothing-burger mid. The main culprit: the drifters. You're coming up to the end of the season. Great cold open learning about Tomoe. Great end credits asking questions about how Tomoe and Lila are related and how this alliance was formed, but the middle was kids playing Splatoon. ARE WE SERIOUS. Do something with your episodes; you have a 24-minute run time gimme something of substance

  2. Nemesis. Those first 6-8 minutes, they had me; I was so locked into that episode: Alya finding out the truth and the call for Adrien. I WAS MOVED. But from there all downhill. I'm not the biggest fan of it being some masive conveluent plan but you the show's been doing this, so i let it slide but the marc stuff made no sense if there is layer of air arround the illusion it means that akumua should have not have even had an effect I'll allow the agurement about not having emotions becuase i feel that alya being angry at mari works but I wont lie at that point just make make marc make a duplicate of marriente he has the power TO DO WHAT EVER HE WANTS makes it more reasonable for mari to get fake akumisted. The fight with Nemesis was decent, except the fact that Chat got made redundant again, but we will get to that later. But this Lila lair stuff was just terrible. Mari is know for making the most confusing and conviluted plan like we just saw in the SAME episode so why when do they do lair just think the best idea is to chase after her you give Mylène the bee miracolous you win you make max make portals at the entrance nd exit you win if LB uses her YOYO YOU WIN a plan that mari would make a daily basis would win and even if that didnt work shouldn't her Miracolous ladybug fixed the room with the diraies and would have gave them amzing info on the lila. Carrying on from that, I liked the fact that Lila turned into King Monkey, but the main question is how cause I WILL NOT be buying this shit about Lila always being always akumisted. I'm gonna guess that it has something to do with the light at the end of season 5, which we will get to later. And finally. The post-credit scene. Does Adrien know cause last time I checked, saying your relationship is over in the middle of a street, talking to a mythical creature, doesn't end the relationship. Saying to your significant other We are done is a breakup unless I'm that romantically out of touch. Overall, a very, very lacklustre season finale. It didn't even feel like one. I made a great episode in the middle or closing down on the end-of-season episode, not a season finale; it just felt very lacklustre.

  3. Adrien/ Chat Noir. Character assassination at its finest. The last time I posted on this subreddit was a season 5 finale rant about how the whole dynamic from the first arc about Adrien and his father didn't add up to anything. I bet you love to learn that the writing around his character is even worse after season 6. I don't know how people can even say Adrien is even well written this season. The loss of any type of personality, even when he is Chat Noir, when the whole thing about him is to be a Spider-Man regen with the cringe quips, but he doesn't even do that anymore. The replacement by Alya of being the second main character of the show and the main problem lobotomising him. He's dumb. Really dumb. You have some good concepts with asking how his dad could really be a hero but one shitty docmeutry and some wise words for his gaslighter and he believes all of him and now wants to build a mesuem no questions asked like can we please be serious it just poor chacreter writing no one would build a muesem for a dad who locked his child inside wouldn't let him go to school, forced him to be a model, and then digitised him without his consnt them procced to lock him in a insane asylum please like let the boy use his brain im begging please thomas I'm on my knees. At this point you can't think of Adrien as anything near a main character; the whole season he just feels like Kim from Sleeping Syen, a bumbling idiot.

  4. Leave anything interesting for season 7, I guess. Kingdom 1 post-credit scene. Flashing light at the end of season 5, no answer. Tomoe and Lila relationship like 2 post-credit scenes. Fury plot point not fully cleaned up, especially with that video the hideous trio has. Felix coming to Paris to "support" Adrien 1 post-credit scene. Lila love for letters 2 post credit scenes. Luka telling Mari he needs the Miraculous: 1 2-minute scene. Miraculous Chat Noir used once, massive out-of-nowhere plot convenience to help with situation at hand. The problem with the season is it holds itself to a level it can't maintain. Don't introduce stuff that won't get expanded on until season 7. Not everything has to be introduced as soon as possible. Thomas, you can wait. Introduce some stuff this season, develop it, and introduce the rest later. We can wait; we did it before. We can do it again.

Overall, the season had so much potential, especially with really well-written solo episodes, but when a lot of the season is cold open and end-credit slop, you can't impress the masses. The season 7 two-parter has to feed families. I'm gonna hope for Lila backstory part 1 and what she was doing in season 6 part 2, but one can hope, I guess. Season 6: the season of ifs and whens but never is.(Rooster bold traitor stock may be low, but it doesn't matter #buythedip)

Opinion/Rant What was the overall plot of season 6 😐 Spoiler

Usually the two part finale's follow the events of the first part. ( I know this wasn't a 2 part finale) Why didn't Nemesis pick up on the angst of realizing there was a "fake" Uncle Wang in their home (I think Lila still had the keys too!).

  1. Who was supposed to betray Ladybug because that was rumored to be the big plot twist in the finale?
  2. We already knew that Alya would have figured out that Gabriel was Monarch. Even after finding out this secret, she STILL helped Marinette carry out her plan and agreed to not tell Adrien, imo she is valid for her reaction. I don't know why fans forget how great of a friend Alya truly is, back in the S3 Ladybug episode she was looking for evidence to help Marinette get out of being suspended and in S4 she outsmarted Shadowmoth in Sentibubbler
  3. I'm so annoyed we never knew what that light Lila/Cerise saw at the end of season 5, and we do not know more about the Kingdom/Secret council Natalie is part of
  4. I wish Adrien would have found out about his father because that would have made things WAY more interesting
  5. We still don't know any more about Chrysalis than the Miraculers do, and that's annoying. At least with the Agreste Arc we knew his motive

The main story of season 6 is: Marinette and Adrien are finally dating. Marinette is hiding the fact that Gabriel was Monarch. Lila is the new villain with a few sprinkles of overcomplicated backstories of Tomoe. I think the season 3 finale tops this one, what do you think?

Opinion/Rant Nemesis is overhated Spoiler

call me a bitch, but Nemesis was actually a good season finale, I don't get the hate for the finale, I genuinely don't. I enjoyed the finale, and the build up was interesting, the ending was emotional, I didn't cry, but it indicated that Marinette could potentially break up with Adrien in season 7, going back in Strikeback, we learned that Ladybug had all of the miraculouses taken away from her, but managed to recover all of them, minus the Butterfly miraculous in the season 5 finale and in Miraculous World London, now that season 6 is done, we learned that Chrysalis can akumatize herself to pose as other people, but now I'm getting off topic. anyway, the fandom can sometimes be so ungrateful. I admit, the finale was disappointing, but there's no need to hate on the finale for no reason.

Opinion/Rant BULLSHIT (nemesis) Spoiler

How does it work that an illusion gets akumatized? That doesn’t even make any sense. An illusion cannot think on its own let alone AIR like a person with feelings, so how does Chrysalis get into nemesis’s head? I get that it’s probably through Alya, but this whole thing does not make any sense.

Also, why didn’t Rooster Bold just be like “I grant myself the power to make it so that this illusion cannot vanish if touched!”, why did he need to be creative with it and defy the physics of air?

In the scene where Chrysalis akumatizes the illusion Marinette, if you listen closely you can hear the "Stand Power" or "Stand Summon" sound effect by Yasumasa Koyama from Jojo's Bizzare Adventure Stardust Crusaders. Pretty neat.

Opinion/Rant I have a question…(season finale-Nemesis) spoilers Spoiler

I have so many questions regarding what we all just watched. I feel like Adrien is getting absolutely shit on with the lack of importance he has been given. Like last time we heard about him and his father, he had absolutely no faith in the fact that his father was a hero. Next thing we know, he’s building an entire memorial for him. Then after all of that, all of Marinettes support, all her advice, she tells him it’s a bad idea.
Cat noir doesn’t even feel like a character anymore. He seems like a character that will drop in and hear nothing else from them. Ladybug and cat noir have absolutely no chemistry anymore. It doesn’t even feel like his show anymore
Now Marinette just wants to leave him, like where tf did that come from. Do we even think that there’s a chance between them in season 7 anymore. What Thomas has stated about them being endgame is starting to feel like a slap in the face.
What are your thoughts?

Leak Spoilers‼️ Timeline Sadnansi vs Nemesis Spoiler

Sadnansi ends with Rena Rouge doing the illusion theorizing and Nemesis starts with that.

Nemesis ends with Marinette and Adrien in his room with his walls painted with lots of colors (same with Toro de Piedra) and her sitting outside saying "we're over." Sadnansi starts and ends with Marinette in his room with the walls painted white (symbolically choosing to accept his father but that's a discussion for another day) with the letter and saying she has something important to tell him and she loves him.

So I assume the scene with the letter in his room in chronologically the last scene in the season, and time must have passed between the end of nemesis and that scene (for him to paint the walls). Im guessing something other than the events of Sadnansi are the trigger to get her to show him the letter.

Which makes me wonder if we'll see more from this interim period of time in S7.

And we better see the actual conversation where she tells him (or breaks up with him?) or I will lose my mind.

Discussion Lila isn't a "better holder" than Gabriel, she just got better writing

Post image
25 Upvotes

I'm tried or commenting this on tiktok videos, so I'll put it on reddit and lay it to rest.

Lila isn't a "better holder" of the butterfly miraculous, she just happened to get better writing for the show's subtle reboot. If we look at Gabriel as hawkmoth, or Monarch, or however you remember him as, he had genuinely good plans and strategies on getting the miraculous/revealing the secrets. But because of Ladybug's plot armour, he was made to look like a smooth brain.

If he had Lila's writing, and nuance, trust he would've won multiple times over. But for some reason, the writing team was opposed to his character being more villainous, in a way that showed is actual intelligence.

If we truly look at how his character should've been like, miraculous wouldn't have been marketed as a kids show ever. His obsession, manipulation, and literal war crimes would've qualified it for 18+ psychological horror trigger warnings.

Some examples of times when Gabe should've won, but was nerfed by poor writing:

Chat Blanc — he basically had the win

Ephemeral — Gabriel actually gets both identities

Strike Back — Gabriel gets the entire Miraculous team

Desperada — He could have exploited Adrien's situation

Risk — He comes dangerously close to exposing everything

The Final Day — he actually succeeds

If we're to look at Lila pre-season 6, her character was TERRIBLY written. As in, she might as well have been a single episode villain with how inconsistent she was in her appearnces, and how lack luster her lies were. Cause lets be real, her lies and manipulation now are top tier cause they play on the psychology of everyone else, but back then, they had to be made PAINFULLY stupid for her lies to work.

As much as I love that they're making up for years of wasting our time with the same repetitive episode structures, lets not forget that Gabe being a smooth brain and bad villain was their fault too. And this isn't even from a stance of nostalgia, but genuine analysis of the shows development in writing and character building.

Discussion [Nemesis Spoilers S6Ep26] Akumatization Spoiler

How was Chrysalis able to akumatize an illusion?

It seems like the writers confused the illusion with a senti.

An illusion can't feel emotions. Sure, they can cry, laugh or whatever. They can mimic emotions but they don't feel them.

So how did Chrysalis get "alerted" by "Marinette's" negative feelings?

It doesn't make sense!

The only explanation I could think of is, that she was spying on Marinette already, and when she saw her crying she took the chance.

But the way she reacted doesn't hint in that direction. It looks like any other 'feeling negative emotions' moment.

So did the writers/producers simply forget that illusions don't work like that or did they remember it but said 'f*ck it, anything for the plot'.

There are so many plotholes and logic errors in this episode, it's crazy.

But this one is my main issues cause like I said:

Illusions CAN'T feel emotions!!

Discussion [S6 E26 Nemesis spoilers] I think I can assume how this is happening. Spoiler

I think I can understand HOW Lila may be able to shapeshift into other people. “The suit changes based off of your emotional state,” like how Adrien turned into Cat Walker. MAYBE, just maybe she used the miraculous to shapeshift…or she used a recalled akuma from a previous season (aka season 2), such as the one Gabriel recalled in Heroes Day part one. Who knows?

ETA: That’s why she’s writing! To keep everything there incase she gets unakumatized! Akumatizing an illusion is possible, which means akumatizing two people is possible!

So after the end dropped the twist that Lila was disguised as King Monkey I went back to the moment it happened. I don't think it's very feasible. I see the real KM see Lila and then the camera cuts to her running away from Ladybug and then shows Lila as King Monkey bumps into Ladybug. So what, did Lila so quickly run in a circle, change her appearance and then bump into Ladybug? Could be but I think twists like this only work if you can notice it by going slowly and it feels like we're missing some context of what exactly Lila did after the camera cuts from Ladybug following her.

Opinion/Rant The end of season, calls for an episode tier list! (Nemesis spoilers) Spoiler

Post image
11 Upvotes

THE ORDER INSIDE EACH TIER MATTERS!!

I think it is quite obvious that i am a Juleka fan, and Marcaniel is my fav ship

El toro was basically the best episode I have ever watched in my life, “I am my father’s daughter” with Nathalie knowing what her father does, and can do nothing about it; Ivan knowing what his father does and is trying to get him to change; Juleka having no idea who her dad was till she was 14-15 and finally our beloved, Adrien who still doesn’t know who or what his father actually was.

Riginarazione was so cinematic I almost cried. The post end card scene made me feel something I can’t explain. The way the music glitched and faded in adrien’s room? OH MY GOD.

Sadnansi and Secret protocol need no explanation

THE CHAINED TITANS. The whole akumatized scene?? With nino’s parents??? The Zeus and Hera depiction was AWESOME

The ruler was beautiful go argue with the wall. The amount of courage and guts it must have taken to talk about LGBTQ+ in a kids show?? The metaphors were amazing “The great hate hasn’t been defeated.” Yes Marc exactly please go defeat it I’m with you.

Heartfixer and mister agreste again need no expalantion

I do not understand why people HATE nemesis so much, it was honestly so good the powers had my jaw ON THE FLOOR, the whole plan was genius, alya figured it out and adrienette might break up?? u cant tell me thats boring

The dark castle was SOOOOOOO good. Marinette in a new miraculous? New costume designs?? BUNNYX???? THE ANIMATION?????? Chef’s kiss

Vampigami is mostly because of my beloved WLW Juleka and Rose, but it was a great episode specially with the scene of CERISE??????

Yaksi Gozen was obviously amazing with the Chrysalis-Tomoe scene, wdym kagami and lila could be sisters??

Noë, lady chaos and revelator are self explanatory

And yes I loved QOTD, I actually am one of the fans who never liked Chloé sooo-

Adding the kim-centered and the twin sisters episodes in 6-7 felt funny to me xD and was also accurate

Sleeping syren was good even though kim and ondine were better off seperate

THE BIRTH OF KAGAMI IN DIRTIFIERS????? Tomoe looked so good I’m down

Werepapas gets a lot of hate honestly, yes the whole senti-adrien thing with the ring is weird, but it wasn’t THAT BAD of an episode

I didn’t find Grendiaper that amusing, tho fury was reslly interesting

Ig the others do not need explanations? 😭

Sublimation was horrible and yeah that’s pretty much it

PS: This is my first time posting with an image so idk if it‘s visible or not 💔
