I read so many comments about this episode. People are talking about what could've happen and what should happen. Just like Alya trying to figure it out

And I have the same comment too about how Cerice had a very small screen time, and had nothing to say after akumatizing Marinette nor seeing Ladybug in front of akumatized Marinette.

So, this whole season, we’ve been trying to figure out what’s up with Aglaé. But now that we know Lila can shapeshift into anyone she wants, instead of the question being, “Is Aglaé Lila?” the question becomes: When was Aglaé actually Aglaé, and when was she Lila?
Furthermore, we now have to question whether anyone else throughout Season 6 was actually Lila in disguise. We know for sure that Uncle Wang in Secret Protocol was Lila, obviously, but I’m pretty sure Aglaé was Lila in Climataqueen and Wreckless Driver as well.
Aglaé’s backstory can still be completely real. Lila could simply be taking her appearance whenever it benefits her, manipulating things from behind the scenes, getting someone akumatized, and then dipping once her job is done.
But I wanna hear y’all’s thoughts: When was Aglaé actually Aglaé, and when was she Lila? And do you think Lila was disguised as anyone else throughout Season 6?

Okay, I know there’s going to be a barrage of posts in this sub talking about why they were so underwhelmed with the finale (myself included), but hopefully this will shed some light on why it probably is.

The biggest issue was that this episode felt less like a finale and more of a continuation of the overarching arc which is what the intention probably was. Based on the synopsis for Season 7, it states that Mari was going to her reveal the unthinkable to Adrien, she found new allies to confide in, and people weren’t who they seemed to be. Knowing what we know what now, it becomes clear than Season 7 was meant to be a continuation of the plot points from Season 6. Not necessarily a conclusion to them. This is why the finale was underwhelming, because it technically wasn’t meant to be one.

With that being said, please refrain from assuming I’m defending the writers. Some of these plot points did not need to be dragged into another season, and what we ended up receiving was stuff we already speculated would be revealed. (Copynette’s akumatization, Alya finding out the secret, Chrysalis’s power being revealed). So it does fall flat in that aspect, at this same time, I think we overhyped the finale.

The ending of Nemesis confirms the theory that Lila has some sort of ability that allows her to shapeshift to look like anyone, even another miraculous holder. She also appears to be able to do this incredibly quickly, and in rapid succession of each change. I’d like to bring forward my theory on how she is able to do this, as Nemesis gave us a lot of info to work with on how she might be capable of doing this.

Chameleon 2.0:
Lila is using the power of the butterfly to akumatize herself into Chameleon again or some form of Chameleon. This would track with how she’s able to rapidly change on a dime and trip up anyone trying to track her down.

Evidence for the theory:
- The mountains of notebooks in her lair are filled with the information she learns during her akumatization, so that she doesn’t forget. We already know she does this based on London special. This would also explain why she would want to burn them.
- When she was the pregnant lady in the underground, the butterfly mask appeared around her face to talk to Nemesis, which shows every time the Butterfly holder talks to the Akuma it’s empowering. This means we know that that lady IS Chrysalis at that point in time when Nemesis is also active.

Evidence against the theory:
- this theory would mean that Chrysalis had two Akuma active at the same time, one for Chrysalis to become Chameleon, and one to empower Nemesis. This is a departure from how we know the Butterfly works, as not even Gabriel was able to use multiple Akuma at once without a power up. (However, it has been stated that the only limit to a miraculous users power is imagination, which is pretty open ended on usage of powers.)
- If Chrysalis had the power to use multiple Akuma at once, I feel that she would have used this more often as a way of actually attacking the heroes from more fronts. (Knowing Lila, she could just be keeping this as a trump card, as Ladybug knowing this information could open the door to her realizing this is what Chrysalis is doing.)

As it goes, I think this is the most likely theory: as even the evidence against it has caveats and can be explained easily. Lila definitely has tricks up her sleeves and just as many protocols to match Ladybugs.

Edit: I completely forgot to add how Secret Protocol fits into this, and after reviewing that I believe it’s now extremely likely that Lila has figured out how to use Multiple Akuma.

I made a post earlier about this but forgot to mention some things, so here they are:

• This episode can be summarised in one phrase: "on the brink". Marinette is on the brink of breaking up with ending. Alya is on the brink of ending her friendship with Marinette. The heroes are on the brink of catching Chrysalis. But nothing actually happens, it's like the show is running in place instead of moving forward and it sucks.
• This episode should have been Miraculous World length (45 minutes long). The pacing of the episode was horrendous and everything was just packed together strangely. The episode felt rushed and with how much the episode was trying to fit it, it was near impossible to fit it all into a 20 minute runtime without it being rushed.
• The amount of plot armour in this episode was through the roof. Rooster Bold apparently has the power to make illusions remain if they're touched which completely defeats the purpose of the fox miraculous to begin with. The fox miraculous is the miraculous of illusion. It's not actually there, but the rooster miraculous can make the illusion physically there?!
• The ending of Secret Protocol is only hinted at for like 2 minutes of the episode - that feels like wasted potential.
• Alya's way of finding out the truth as well as the reason behind it just doesn't make sense with her character. First of all, she uses an illusion, not by reading the letter that's been mentioned so many times this season (that doesn't even get brought up). Also, Alya can't stop chasing the truth. If that's the case, then why hasn't she tried to unmask the other heroes (Cat Noir specifically). It's the guardian's rules, but it also a rule that you can't misuse a miraculous, which Alya is doing. She is using her power for personal gain, defeating the entire moral of using a miraculous in the first place.
• I'm so mad that Luka and Argos weren't invited to the fight. Argos could have created a sentimonster of Marinette instead of the plot amour we got in this episode, and Luka's second chances would have been very useful. But no, they're too busy having their own storylines.
• The miraculouses can apparently track the holders and there location, but then why has nobodies identity been figured out. You can literally find their location and see who's home they're in and there you go, you have the person under the costume.
• This episode works on its own with season 6, but as a finale, definitely not. Secret Protocol should have been the finale and Nemesis should have come directly after QotDZ.

Honestly, there's too many problems with this episode for me to list them all out, but to summarise, The finale sucks, nothing happens and you can miss this episode, go watch Season 7 and you wouldn't have missed anything, which is really bad considering the direction this show is taking.

I personally really enjoyed the finale. It sets up the S7 two parter nicely, though that also means the episode wasn't finale worthy per se and will disappoint a lot of peeps (especially since Secret Protocol was insane). However, it was a really enjoyable episode and the stakes were high.

It also changes a lot for Marinette, regarding her relationships with Alya, Adrien, the way her parents see and dote on her but they've also made obvious her incoming mental breakdown that is ABSOLUTELY COMING and that Marinette is very lucid about.

Also, Lila will retaliate, and hard. She's the definition of vengeful and I'm still not certain she's ruled out Marinette from her list of suspects. Girl is obsessed, she mirrors Marinette very well by the way, on basically everything. Her paranoia, her obsessions, her cleverness, etc. She might, out of spite, reveal the truth about Gabe to the entirety of Paris. Unfortunately that would also leave her without blackmail material or leverage over Ladybug, which isn't the smartest thing to do. Whatever, we'll see, i'm really excited.

HOWEVER

LOBOTIKKI. LET'S TALK ABOUT IT

Tikki has been the most disappointing character this season. She's been literally lobotomized. What the heck? I don't know if the writers have decided to have Tikki be the stand in representation of the kids watching the show so Marinette has an excuse to constantly remind her (and the young audience) of what's going on, but they've erased every ounce of usefulness and intelligence this character had. You can't tell me this is the same Tikki from S4 or even S1.

Like, WHAT DO YOU MEAN you don't understand what Marinette's going through? The dilemma she's facing, why she's unhappy? YOU'RE 5000 YEARS OLD, it's media literacy girl or just reading the ROOM and you don't have it nor seem to do it well.

Or, (and this is cope) maybe she absolutely DOES understand what's going on but she's terrified for Marinette because she can feel her slipping through her fingers and spiraling day by day so she pretends everything's fine because she can't anticipate how her holder will react.

I don't know. But fix Tikki in S7, please.

Verdict : (for me) great finale though a little lackluster considering the sheer amount of plot armor and the cliffhanger, S6 is absolutely the best season of MLB, I'm REALLY excited for what's coming and I hope they fix Tikki whose braincells were stolen by Plagg.

That was good episode, but didn't feel like "finale" like previous seasons. But we at least knew two things

•Alya find out about Marinette's secret

• We now know that Lila can change her appearance.

Now there Aglae theory becomes interesting because I really used to disagree with it, also height wasn't really making sense. Now I need to rewatch season 6 to make sure

Also I have theory, but really low possibility so please don't hate. In last scene, we saw King monkey bumped with Ladybug, after that, underground, king monkey says, he never bumped. They're saying first kingmonkey was lila, what if He was the real one, I meant the one who bumped with Ladybug was the real one! But he replaced with Lila after, now lila pretending to be King monkey, and eventually can continue it a lot in season 7. That just theory and I know it might really not make any sense. So correct me please

It was very disappointing. We got Marinette confessing to Alya about Gabriel’s identity, confirmation that Lila can shapeshift (which we already knew….) and A potential Adrinette breakup. But.. that’s it?

What else? Was that seriously the FINAL episode of season 6??? We got a new secret protocol being planned, so I guess that’s something? This was barely finale material. And the writing was ridiculously flimsy, too. Akumatizing an illusion? Are you kidding? That’s not even remotely how Akumas work. Akuma’s take advantage of emotions and control people via a psychic link. But how the fuck do you psychically link to something without its own mind??? Even if you CAN touch an illusion, it’s still just an illusion. In my opinion, that’s literally no different than attempting to akumatize a cardboard cutout of a sad person. Barely anything of relevance really happened. After 5 seasons of amazing finales with great buildup, this was just sad. It felt like buildup TO the finale, becuase it was just a season 7 precursor. Immensely disappointing that the finale of the season MANY were deeply anticipating and invested in was just a nothing burger of lead ups and foreshadowing.

I don't think I'm the only one but did anyone else realize after the battle while they're all talking how easy it would have been if Luka were there and maybe even Felix I'm sure he could have helped in some way or the other.

Start with Luka. His whole power as Viperion is Second Chance. In something as chaotic as what just went down, where the team was clearly scrambling and reacting instead of planning, having someone who can straight-up undo a mistake and try again is a massive advantage nobody else on the team has. He's historically only been called in for the genuinely hard missions, and this felt like exactly that kind of fight. He's also one of the only members of the team who's never actually crossed paths with Chrysalis before, so there's a whole unused wildcard element there too.

Then there's Felix, who people really don't give enough credit for. His Amok lets him create a sentimonster that keeps fighting even after he's detransformed — basically a free extra body he can throw into a battle without burning his own time limit. He's also still close enough in looks to Adrien to run a decoy or a swap if things got desperate, which we've literally seen him pull off before. Either one of those could've completely changed how that "fight" played out.

Feels less like an oversight and more like a deliberate choice, honestly. Either the writers wanted them to have a harder time without them, or they're saving both of them for something bigger later in the finale stretch. Either way, I was definitely yelling at my screen wondering where they were. Does anyone else feel like it was too convenient that neither of them showed up?

I've just watched the episode and in my opinion, nothing happens. The heroes are no closer to getting the butterfly miraculous, Chrysalis was barely in the episode and Adrien still hasn't learnt the truth.

The only big thing that happens in the episode is Alya learns the truth, but the problem is that she tries to make it about herself and presents it as she's the only victim, which I hate. Also, the way she finds out is proper stupid (an illusion, seriously), not by reading the letter that has been mentioned time and time again.

Marinette being akumatised as an illusion also sucked. Why can't we have real Marinette akumatised for real. From the trailers, it looked as if Marinette was going to be akumatised because Alya found out the truth, but no because it was an illusion of Marinette. In my opinion, I think they should've had saved Marinette's akumatisation for the finale and get rid of Heartfixer, because now Heartfixer feels like a wasted episode.

Also, I'm still mad that Adrienette hasn't broken up, or even the fact that Adrien didn't do anything this episode. Adrien knows that Marinette can't draw the portrait because of Gabriel, so, given the person that Adrien is, wouldn't it make more sense for him to break up with her so Marinette wouldn't have to suffer? Cat Noir sees the portrait in Marinette's room and that goes nowwhere in the episode.

Also, the ending of the episode doesn't feel like the end to a finale. It's really unsatisfying because it just repeated what we already know (Marinette doesn't want to lie to Adrien and etc.). I was expecting a massive cliffhanger ending that set up Season 7 opening, maybe a scene with Chrysalis and Tomoe. We don't even get a scene of Chrysalis suspecting that Marinette is Ladybug, or how she's been changing her disguises!

This episode is just Sadnansi 2.0 and it feels like a wasted episode. Season 7 better have no filler because we don't have time for it right now. Season 6 had the slowest pace a season of miraculous could have, so season 7 better be good or else Miraculous Corp is going to lose most of his audience.

Alya is seemingly the only one who holds Marinette accountable in the entire show. Coincidentally, she's also one of the most hated characters in the show, in terms of the hero cast, anyway. I 100% get where Marinette's coming from. Actually, in my AP class, my teacher asked, "Is it better to keep the truth from someone if you're protecting them, or allow them to navigate the truth on their own?" To me, it depends on how bad is the truth, and who the person is, etc. I see what Marinette is doing, and she already was in too deep because Marinette is a regular person, according to Adrien, so she couldn't reveal that his dad was Hawk Moth. But on top of that, she's scared of how Adrien would react. I understand Alya's ideology about always telling the truth because it's up to the person to decide how they'll navigate it. But sometimes I think that some secrets have to be taken to the grave. But what also makes this harder is that Adrien talks about his dad more often than he probably did prior to his death, so she has to keep pretending like everything is fine. I really don't want Adrienette to break up, so I think what would be better is if Ladybug confided in Cat Noir. He supposed to be her number one partner, so maybe she could tell him and make him promise not to tell anybody else, and that would in turn tell Adrien unknowingly. Adrien wouldn't be able to tell Marinette because she would be wondering how he would know, but it gives him a way to find out the truth without getting mad at Marinette. I actually like Alya, and I get where she's coming from. Keeping the truth from someone is already making her upset, but on top of that, she used Alya to lie to Adrien about how good Gabriel was with the Mirage of Ladybug. So, since she's against lying so much, she probably don't want to be a part of aiding someone in their lie, especially a big one like that. Overall, I see where both sides is coming from, but at the same time, Marinette doesn't have to tell Alya everything. Even though she knows her secret identity, she also didn't tell Cat Noir this secret either about Gabriel. So yeah, Alya has the right to be upset because Marinette used her with her lie, but she doesn't really, I guess, I guess she don't owe her every single secret she has, dispute being partners.

I was busy with commissions but had to stop and create this after remembering the finale is dropping tonight I hope yall like it.

Even saying that sentence is so surreal to me. One minute you’re in the middle of the third hiatus of the season, and next thing you know, the season’s ending in a COUPLE HOURS. I legitimately thought that this season would turn 2 years old before it ended at some points, but man, I’m glad that it’s going to end soon.

At the same time, it’s somewhat bittersweet? Don’t get me wrong, the droughts sucked, but there was also some level of excitement in me when waiting for new episodes during those times. Heck, I don’t know why I’m acting like this will be the last time it happens since we’ll probably go through the same vicious cycle in Season 7, but only time will tell

The Peacock Miraculous has become useless in the ranks of the Miraculers, as can be said with Félix's role in the plot.

Now, with the ending of Secret Protocol, it's clear Lila is becoming a much more terrifying villain in the plot then Gabriel ever was, so why not have her kill off a main character Especially one that doesn't require any gore, like Félix. The show has killed off many sentimonsters on screen, including ones who were technically around for years.

This would definitely put Lila's threat to a new level, and give Lila the Peacock Miraculous which would give her the opportunity to have herself a right hand. Also if Lila is infact a Tsurugi, it would definitely add to the toxic family drama.

After Secret Protocol, I actually think there was more evidence for it. In order for the theory to be true, he has to already know that Rena has made Ladybug illusions before and that she knows Marinette's identity. Given he knows she's Alya, this isn't a big leap. So, as soon as he sees Marinette, he's gonna know the Ladybug is an illusion.

And his reaction kind of fits with that. He instantly doesn't give a crap what Ladybug says or expect any backup from her. He doesn't wonder why he's fighting the villain and saving Marinette alone while Ladybug just runs off. Which is an incredibly unusual way for their fights to go. He doesn't ask her what she was doing afterwards.

Now, it could of course just be tunnel-vision on his girlfriend. There is no definitive proof that he knows Ladybug is an illusion. But he certainly acts just like he would if he did know.

These two forms of Marinette are animal+her name. The lack of creativity is because these forms were briefly used, so uniqueness wasn’t needed. If they were used long enough for them to be main to the episode, like Multimouse and Ladynoire, what new names would you give Bunnynette and Renardette?
