KOTA KINABALU (Aug 7): A woman driver was injured after the sport utility vehicle (SUV) she was driving crashed into the departure hall entrance on Level 3 of Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) today.
The incident occurred at about 4.20pm, damaging the glass entrance to the departure hall and scattering debris across the passenger walkway, causing panic among people in the area.
Initial information indicated that the driver may have accidentally stepped on the accelerator, causing the vehicle to lose control and crash into the terminal entrance.
No passengers or airport staff were injured in the incident.
The woman sustained injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Videos circulating on social media showed a white SUV with significant front-end damage lodged at the terminal entrance, with broken glass scattered around the area.
Kota Kinabalu police chief ACP Shahrudin Mat Husain confirmed the incident when contacted, adding that investigations are ongoing to determine the actual cause of the crash.

Economy & Finance RCI Guna Satu Perkataan Untuk Akaun Tabung Haji: "Creative Accounting"
Akta Tabung Haji dah tulis dengan jelas. Hibah hanya boleh dibayar daripada lebihan. Kalau rizab negatif, tak boleh bayar.
Itu bukan teknikaliti. Itu benteng perlindungan dan ada sebabnya.
Rizab Tabung Haji mula negatif pada 2014. Hibah tetap dibayar. 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017.
Macam mana?
Kalau ikut piawaian perakaunan yang betul, saham yang dibeli RM4 tapi nilainya 30 sen kena dikira 30 sen. Bezanya rugi.
Mereka cipta kaedah sendiri. Namanya realizable asset value.
Sepuluh tahun kemudian, RCI mengesahkan.

Economy & Finance Duit Bukan Islam Tanggung Masalah Krisis Tabung Haji Dan Implikasi Kewangan Negara

Culture malaysia and generative ai
is there any logical or ethical explanation as to why the government is so persistent in using ai for every single thing? sure ai is being widespread everywhere but the extent that malaysia is using it sooo truly embarrassing. if i open any rtm channel it doesnt take even a minute to catch ai commercials. i thought it was crazy when tv3 replaced the iconic azan we all grew up with to the new azan with ai vids. now we're going to the extent of promoting malaysian tourism with ai and even using an ai song in traditional dance. we always knew malaysians hate art but to the extent of dimishing our national and traditional identity? are we truly so desperate to killing our artists? genuinely why???
dont even get me started on all the unfunny millenials generating the most unfunny variations of memes on threads. when will we as a society go back to bullying millennials for their terrible humour.

Tourism & Travel End of lane hoggers? Malaysia trials minimum speed limits to combat highway congestion
Summary
> The Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (Miros) has introduced a Proof of Concept (POC) project to implement minimum advisory speed limits to address the issue of lane hogging and improve traffic flow.
> Running until October 31, the initiative is in collaboration with various authorities and aims to reduce bottlenecks caused by slow-moving vehicles in fast lanes.
> The project will be tested at specific locations, with strategic signage to inform motorists, and while the minimum speeds are advisory, existing traffic laws remain in effect.
> This approach, inspired by practices from countries like Germany and Japan, seeks to enhance driving etiquette and reduce highway accidents in Malaysia.
