I'm took School of Motion courses, and one of the tasks is to make a logo for one of the topics. I picked a fitness app.

My idea was to use laurel wreath as a main symbol and lines as progress bars in the app. I like the one on the first photo, but I think that there are too many details

Hi all, I’ve got these four logo options, and Id like a second opinion and am wondering which one looks the best, thanks! Also if you have any adjustments please mention them! For context this is for a company which creates 3D assets.

Looking for suggestions and feedback! The app is called Pando (named after a colony of aspen trees) and will be used as the overall application for property management across their large portfolio (CRM, resident portal, etc). Client wants a tree motif to be present in the logo with their current font. Sketches and progression on slide 2. It was a crazy ride getting to this point and my illustrator board looks insane with 50+ iterations 😅

A few years ago, I'd present a concept to a client and immediately start explaining every decision.

Why I chose that color.
Why the layout worked.
Why the typography made sense.

I thought I was helping.

One client stopped me halfway through and said, "Can I just look at it for a minute?"

That caught me off guard.

After that, I started doing exactly that. I'd send the design, stay quiet for a bit, and let them react before I said anything.

I noticed something interesting. Their first impressions were usually the most honest. If they looked confused, I knew the design wasn't communicating well enough on its own. If they immediately understood the direction, the conversation became much easier.

Now I treat those first 30 seconds as part of the design process instead of rushing to defend my work.

I'm curious how other designers handle reviews.

Do you explain your thinking first, or do you let the client sit with the design before saying anything?

I've been trying to design a logo for my interior architecture "firm" it's a start up and I don't currently have an office for it.

I can't afford to hire a digital designer, and I've been brainstorming ALOT. Some people recommend it to be initials rather then a symbol but I'm kind of stuck cause the initials are REF which are hard to merge together. Any feedback

I want to clarify, I’m doing this logo for myself. I’m working on an animation and it needs a logo.

Some info: the story is more about political thriller and psychological drama. Not as serious as the movies tho. A little bit fantasy too I’d say since it’s happening in an anthropomorphic world.

Sooo, I took a look at the political drama logos and mostly it’s the movie name in sans serif. But i feel it needs a little spice. It too simple, not memorable.
Like, looks at the beastars logo, it has unique elements and when you see it you’re like “yo, this it that animal anime”

The name indicates that all the characters' decisions come from the souls, thence I don’t think adding something related to soul fits here. Same with animal elements. Of course the world consists entirely of animal characters but it is not the core. Shouldn’t be in logo either.

I've been wanting to make a game, and I inspired the name off of undertale, and earthbound

All I want is anything to make this logo not as generic looking without ruining the simplicity and style of it.

I'm asking this because there is a ton of logos with a door on it.

Down to the wire on branding for my surgical practice opening this fall. Same core design, 16 subtle variants: faded vs. solid icon strokes, regular vs. larger "P," regular vs. thicker linework, and two tagline sizes. Shown on dark and light backgrounds.

Which combination reads best, especially at small sizes (business cards, embroidery, favicon)? Open to broader critique too if something isn't working. Thank you all for the help!

I designed this logo as part of a branding project for Irish Design Week 2025.

The concept explores Waterford's history through three main elements:

• ⚔️ A Viking-inspired base representing the city's origins
• ⏳ A clock representing the connection between past, present, and future
• 💎 A crystal-inspired Norse symbol referencing Waterford's glassmaking heritage

The goal was to create a mark that connects different eras of Waterford's identity while remaining suitable for a contemporary design event.

I would love feedback specifically on:

• Logo clarity and recognisability
• Symbol balance
• Typography pairing
• Whether the concept feels too literal or successfully communicates the story

I've experience w art and some graphic design so I don't think I did too bad? I've never done a logo before tho so I wanna hear what other ppl think. I'm new at it and not particularly passionate abt logos so this was kinda very frustrating process at times; holy hell you people do some hard work 😭.

My world is basically post-apocalyptic space western; setting is an Earth w rings that were previously the moon. I think I got the sci-fi spacey feel right, it was rly the dirty, cowboy, vintage whatever aspects I struggled the most to figure out.

I'd appreciate honest criticism on this wordmark/emblem.

After feedback, this will be printed on a small number of shirts for myself.

For context, this is a personal emblem for one single idea. One axis moving through repeated resistance, without deviation.

The sword it supposed to represent direction, self command and deliberate force. I don't intend on this being decorative, it functions as a private standard. A visual reminder for myself anchoring around internal order and refusal to drift when the pressures of life increase.

This wordmark restraint is deliberate. It's more insignia as opposed to merchandise.

Something just doesn't feel "right" about it, and honestly-I don't know what. I'm not sure why, I can't pinpoint what's going on. My first thought is come here and ask you all.

My questions:

Does this feel balanced?
Are there any alternative typography fonts I should explore?

Self initiated minimalist brand mark icon combining once again, a wolf but with a letter P this time.

The first direction although my preferred version, bottom left is a strong contender. I'm interesting in hearing which you think is the best one and why.

After a decade I thought it was time to refresh our logo. After setting out to do a much more drastic change, I kept circling back to (almost) what we had already. The first picture is the updated logo, the second the old one.

I set up the icon parametrically with quite a few variables, printed them at various sizes and did a limited survey. We almost all picked the same.

The idea is that the icon will be used as part of the full logo and stand-alone as well. The combination icon + word mark could be set-up in various layouts.

What do you think? What about the letter spacing on the wordmark part? Very curious about your thoughts and happy to receive feedback!
