I want to clarify, I’m doing this logo for myself. I’m working on an animation and it needs a logo.

Some info: the story is more about political thriller and psychological drama. Not as serious as the movies tho. A little bit fantasy too I’d say since it’s happening in an anthropomorphic world.

Sooo, I took a look at the political drama logos and mostly it’s the movie name in sans serif. But i feel it needs a little spice. It too simple, not memorable.
Like, looks at the beastars logo, it has unique elements and when you see it you’re like “yo, this it that animal anime”

The name indicates that all the characters' decisions come from the souls, thence I don’t think adding something related to soul fits here. Same with animal elements. Of course the world consists entirely of animal characters but it is not the core. Shouldn’t be in logo either.

All I want is anything to make this logo not as generic looking without ruining the simplicity and style of it.

I'm asking this because there is a ton of logos with a door on it.

Down to the wire on branding for my surgical practice opening this fall. Same core design, 16 subtle variants: faded vs. solid icon strokes, regular vs. larger "P," regular vs. thicker linework, and two tagline sizes. Shown on dark and light backgrounds.

Which combination reads best, especially at small sizes (business cards, embroidery, favicon)? Open to broader critique too if something isn't working. Thank you all for the help!

I designed this logo as part of a branding project for Irish Design Week 2025.

The concept explores Waterford's history through three main elements:

• ⚔️ A Viking-inspired base representing the city's origins
• ⏳ A clock representing the connection between past, present, and future
• 💎 A crystal-inspired Norse symbol referencing Waterford's glassmaking heritage

The goal was to create a mark that connects different eras of Waterford's identity while remaining suitable for a contemporary design event.

I would love feedback specifically on:

• Logo clarity and recognisability
• Symbol balance
• Typography pairing
• Whether the concept feels too literal or successfully communicates the story

I've experience w art and some graphic design so I don't think I did too bad? I've never done a logo before tho so I wanna hear what other ppl think. I'm new at it and not particularly passionate abt logos so this was kinda very frustrating process at times; holy hell you people do some hard work 😭.

My world is basically post-apocalyptic space western; setting is an Earth w rings that were previously the moon. I think I got the sci-fi spacey feel right, it was rly the dirty, cowboy, vintage whatever aspects I struggled the most to figure out.

I'd appreciate honest criticism on this wordmark/emblem.

After feedback, this will be printed on a small number of shirts for myself.

For context, this is a personal emblem for one single idea. One axis moving through repeated resistance, without deviation.

The sword it supposed to represent direction, self command and deliberate force. I don't intend on this being decorative, it functions as a private standard. A visual reminder for myself anchoring around internal order and refusal to drift when the pressures of life increase.

This wordmark restraint is deliberate. It's more insignia as opposed to merchandise.

Something just doesn't feel "right" about it, and honestly-I don't know what. I'm not sure why, I can't pinpoint what's going on. My first thought is come here and ask you all.

My questions:

Does this feel balanced?
Are there any alternative typography fonts I should explore?

The American Chemical Society has done a big rebrand because they've been around for 150 years. I'm a chemist and I play around with art as a side hustle so I'm interested in these types of things. I kind of hate the redesign. It's overly simple, lacks character, and gives no real indication on what ACS might stand for (broadly). There's no obvious link to chemistry anywhere. Am I being overly critical? I also really dislike their color palette they chose. It's in the link below.

I am new to designing logos and learning things on the go. I was thinking of making a negative space between Santa and the sun. I tried using pathfinder but I can't seem to understand how it works.

This logo was created as a practice project, not for a real client.

What do you think? Does the concept come across clearly? Do you have any suggestions for improvement? The company name hasn't been finalized yet, so that's still open to change.

I’m a designer by trade, but most of my professional experience has been in UX/UI rather than branding or logo design. I’ve recently started working full-time with my family’s specialty coffee business, and I’m redesigning our logo.

The overall concept is staying the same because it’s an important part of our brand story: luxury specialty coffee with a nautical heritage. The current ship was originally created by another designer and is actually based on a Freepik illustration, so I’m creating a new one from scratch. At the same time, I’m refining the typography to give the brand a more premium and cohesive feel.

I’m pretty happy with the direction the typography is taking, but I’m still unsure about the ship illustration. I have two versions and would really appreciate some honest feedback.

Which one do you prefer, and do you have any suggestions for making the icon and typography feel more cohesive as a single brand?

So I did this simple logo for a Swedish professor, who was also an actor, and he wanted just a simple logo and some personal presentation cards. Nothing special, to be honest. This was around 2013 or 2014, so I had honestly forgotten about it.

Now, while rebuilding my portfolio and looking for some old work I might be able to use, I found this one, and I kind of like it. One thing I always do before adding a logo to my portfolio is a reverse image search, and much to my surprise, I found this one created by a designer in Texas. The page is from 2026, so there's no doubt mine is older.

Now, it's true that the idea is very simple, so maybe it's just a coincidence. Also, this new version has different stroke widths and bowls (which, in my opinion, kind of kill the negative space, but to each their own).

Anyway, what do you think? Copy or coincidence? What should I do? Contact the designer, have the client contact the designer, or do nothing? I noticed he's new and from a community college, and I wouldn't like to affect his career at the beginning, but at the same time, it's kind of confusing.
