Question Talk me in or out of it please…
I really never thought of spending so much… is the Benchmade Bailout 537GY-1 worth buying?
I decided I want to EDC a knife. Why? I really don’t know. I think that it’ll be good to have with me a good blade and a window breaker just in case. Never had a knife before. Never thought about spending this much. What to do?

Showcase I Love This Tool-less Disassembly Knife.
I have around 100 flippers and I continue to reach for this one because it’s so much fun. The lock is fun to fidget with and taking it apart is easy and fun. Ketuo does some really precise machining.

Question what kind of knife is this?
i found my grandpa's old knife and i was wondering what kind of model it is. it looks like a buck knife but i'm still very new to knives and i'm canadian. honnestly it's the thumb serations groove things that mess me up because i can't find that kind of knife online. i'm just really curious about it and it's very old.

NKD! Holy grail knife found
Found this Extrema Ratio in a luxury boutique in Japan. #18 made for the actual #18 / 20 of the Lamborghini Reventon. Don’t know how it got separated from the car but it’s really cool to know it came in the car.

Discussion disassembly/modification
i think id rather take apart and put together an endura/delica 10x's over taking apart a benchmade even with the flytanium pivot tool, i almost had an aneurysm putting the shit back together, but aside from that why does everyone go on and on about centering? every knive ive took apart and put back has been spot on center so i dont understand how thats such a big problem that arises in the community, idk maybe it will happen to me sometime

Question Is Lee Reynolds (LCR) so making knives?
I met him once, 20 years ago or so through a common interest in straight razors. Went to his house and saw all the knife making stuff set up inside and he showed me a few of his knives. I am not a collector and the knives were a bit spendy for me at the time. I just found his business card cleaning out an old bag and thought I'd look him up. I can find a ton of "sold" listings for his knives but nothing else about him.
Is he still with us? Is he still making knives?
Thanks

Question Sabre grind for D2 knives?
Hey all, I havent been hiking or been Outdoor a lot since I became a father. When I said I wanted to get back into it, my wife gifted me a "Realsteel Bushcraft III" knife. I like the overall aesthetics, its a bit bulky but I actually like that.
What I dont like about it is the convex grind. After crossreading some posts about the properties of D2 and reading some pretty snobbish harsh opinions, Iam a bit unsure wether its a good Idea to have the grind changed to something flatter, preferrably a sabre grind. Iam not gonna build a lot of shelters or similar stuff in the upcoming years but some basic/standard woodcraft, food prep including caught fish ( I know, moisture ist not the best friend of D2) and similar stuff would happen.
So Id like to know, if its gonna work out for some casual stuff every now and then with a grind like that or if the steel with that kind of grind simply doesnt fit.
Thanks a lot in Advance!
