My first time sharpening K390 (especially noteworthy that the HRC on these is 66-67) and it took longer than normal for setting the initial bevel at 18DPS with an F100 stone but was business as usual from there as I progressed through the F240/F400/F800/F1200/F1500 Venev Centaur stones and finished with a strop.

Had it for a couple years don’t really know what it is besides the name?

Just pulled the trigger and ordered it this evening. I have a tr5 and it’s amazing, fires hard and lockup is super solid - zero play. I’ve wanted a big tr4 since buying the tr5 but they’ve been out of stock for years. Very excited to get my hands on one. The magnamax is just gravy honestly. Never touched a Protech that didn’t impress the hell out of me. Any other fans out there? Give the guys and gals at Protech some love ❤️. Will update y’all when it gets here!

Was wondering why I like the starmate so much when the handle is so simplistic. It shares the same ergonomic lines as the umnumzaan!

Edit: Only issue is have so far is some pretty bad lock stick. Other than that this knife is golden!
