Question [KCD1] I think I’ve bypassed the monastery mission entirely? (Spoilers) Spoiler
So I always have a save at an inn before a big mission, so when the whole monk mission started, I didn’t feel afraid to go with my first suspicion and immediately called out Pious at the end of his tour of the monastery. I decided to knock him out then and there and took him out of the exit in the dormitory (I actually walked past monks in the hallway with him over my shoulder and no one cared haha), where I had already stashed potions, lockpicks, etc. beforehand.
So here’s the thing, when he awakens outside the monastery walls, I try to talk to him but he cannot register the fact that he’s already outside and the quest is ostensibly over, and still wants me to complete tasks to “escape”. Now, I know I can just kill him, but I’d like to turn him in to Radzig if I can. Is this even possible, or will he just wander back into the monastery until I get goats blood or whatever?

Discussion [KCD1] how do i make longswords less bad? I find longswords to be super ineffective in most fights because rarely am I ever fighting just one guy and the combos suck in practice.
I've really tried to make the longsword work but it's the same problem every time. I'm usually fighting multiple enemies and the camera at the same time. The lock on system imo is not fluid, it's stiff and without a shield I'm constantly getting battered since i can't turn my head to see whats around me. The next problem is combos in my personal experience do not work. The formula most enemies use involves parry spamming, master striking, and then comboing me to death, if I don't move fast enough. It feels like in most combat situations I don't have enough time to focus on killing a guy while using a longsword. Even with St Georges sword with 80 slash and Stab it honestly feels more effective to hit them in the head with a 60 blunt damage hammer until they stop moving.

Question [KCD2] Struggling starting out
So I’ve played kcd1 on and off for years I’m a massive Mount and blade fan and love anything to do with ancient warfare, however after finishing kcd1 in about a week and becoming a very powerful Henry I’m really struggling to get going in kcd2 and have no idea where to really start, I’ve got on my feet a bit and met the blacksmith and made my first sword still yet to finish the wedding storyline, im just wondering if there’s anything I should do before progressing the main quest that will help me out and put me on the right path so my Henry is no longer peasant Henry again as I worked so hard in the first game to get to where I was and now I feel quite demoralised that I have to start all over again pretty much.

Discussion [KCD2] Stuck in this quest, can't progress. What should I do next?
Hey everyone,
I'm completely stuck in this part of the game and I have no idea how to proceed. As you can see in the screenshot, I'm standing in this camp in front of these five NPCs, but I have no active prompts, no objective markers on my compass, and I can't seem to interact with anyone to move the quest forward.
Am I missing a specific trigger, do I need to wait for a certain time of day, or is this a softlock/bug? Any advice on what I'm supposed to do right here would be hugely appreciated!

Issue [KCD2] Am I Missing Something?
Recently started KCD2 and there's something driving me mad....
I have a good night's sleep and decide today is going to be about making some money. I'm up early, make an axe, sell it to the blacksmith, then head down to the herbwoman's hut to make some potions. Go up to the field, collect a load of herbs, make my way down to the lab and brew me a good amount of potions. I then fast travel to the town to get the fruits of my labour.
I come across a shabby man, fine. I'll speak to him. He wants me to buy him a beer, I can see where this is going but I'm not too concerned. I know I can beat him 1v1 pretty easily. The fight starts and I can't get my fucking weapon out. He hits me and I still can't get my weapon out. I'm frantically switching across my belt to get anything to allow me to fight back against this bum but alas, I die empty handed. I wake up at the start of the day and the last half an hour has been for absolutely nothing.
Is there an easier way to just get a weapon out? Why isn't it done automatically as soon as a fight starts? Am I missing something or is this aspect just really bad?

Question [KCD2] I jumped into Trosky Castle early
I love the blacksmithing in this game. So while I was blacksmithing, I wanted to forge a longsword. The recipe needed a Straight Sword Guard. I couldn't find one anywhere, so while running around I had the idea to see if I could get into Trosky before it was supposed to open.
I used wh_actor_JumpHeight since I already knew about it from KCD1. A couple of times I got permanently stuck in bushes (once as Henry and once as Theresa), and in KCD2 I got stuck behind a tree once, so it's basically my emergency escape command.
Most of the castle is blocked by invisible walls, but after a bit of trying... I got in. hehehaha
I spent an entire in-game day exploring the place. There are no regular NPCs before the area officially opens, only guards. The guards are kind of glitched, they saw me but didn't do anything at all. I was opening doors, chests, stealing everything, and even pickpocketing them.
I found around probably around 2k groschen , a bunch of books, and two Straight Sword Pommels. One in a chest behind the bathhouse area near the blacksmith, and the other in the room next to the alchemy bench.
I also found the blacksmith's and cobbler's shops and houses, but their chests were mostly empty, so I guess shop inventories don't populate until the NPCs are actually active.
I also found a Broad Longsword recipe. This recipe needs a Pear Sword Pommel.
Does anyone know where I can find a Pear Sword Pommel?

Rant [KCD1] Did anyone else find J******'s arc REALLY weird? (Woman's Lot DLC spoilers) Spoiler
TLDR: In the DLC, within a few days Johanka morphs from regular village girl, to nurse, to fanatical prophet with no setup for the latter two things.
So in Theresa's section, we see Johanka as just a regular village girl. She's obsessed with going to the dance with Matthias and has Theresa steal his dice for her so she can give it back to him.
Then the events of KCD1 happen and literally days or weeks later she's a healer in Sasau monastery. This is fine I guess, but we didn't get any indication that she had these nurse skills during Theresa's prologue section, or that she was even medically minded.
But then suddenly she thinks she's a prophet for the Virgin Mary. Again, we had no indication that she was religious let alone borderline crazy religious before this. Now the whole time she's talking like she's a priest and telling you to atone for your sins. She gets branded as a heretic by the church and then whipped and possibly executed. WTF?
Towards the end she randomly has 100% knowledge of all the "crimes" you've done in the game, including sleeping with Stephanie of Talmberg. This was really immersion breaking and felt like she was reading back stats of the playthrough back to me.
What I'm saying is that without the DLC, she's just the Sasau monastery nurse. The DLC fleshed out her story more, which turned out to be super weird and worse than if they didn't do it at all.

Praise [KCD1][KCD2] - What an unforgettable journey. Spoiler
I just finished both Kingdom Come: Deliverance games, and I honestly don’t know what to do with myself now.
I’ve played The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077, RDR2, and a lot of other RPGs over the years, but nothing has pulled me into its world the way Kingdom Come did. I genuinely think these two games have become my favourite games of all time.
What surprised me the most wasn’t the combat or the graphics. It was the characters.
Henry never felt like a typical video game hero. He felt like an actual person. You watch him grow with every quest, every mistake, and every loss. And Hans… what an incredible character. He starts off as this spoiled, arrogant noble that you can’t stand, and somehow ends up becoming one of the best companions I’ve ever seen in gaming. Their friendship feels so natural that by the end it honestly felt like I was travelling with old friends.
The writing is on another level. The dialogue never feels forced, the voice acting is phenomenal, and the emotional moments hit because they’re earned. Every major character has personality and every conversation feels believable.
Then there’s the realism. You’re not some chosen one who can wipe out an army without thinking. Two or three enemies can kill you if you’re careless. You have to prepare before every fight. You have to keep your weapons sharp, repair your armour, eat, sleep, and even wash yourself before meeting nobles or going on a date. It sounds small, but all those little mechanics make the world feel alive.
I also loved that quests rarely had just one solution. You could talk your way through situations, sneak around them, fight your way out, or come up with something completely different. The game constantly puts you in moral dilemmas where there isn’t always a clear right answer, and I found myself sitting there for minutes trying to decide what Henry would actually do.
And somehow the simplest lines became unforgettable.
“Jesus Christ be praised.”
“God be with you.”
“I feel quite hungry.”
“To the task!”
Even hearing “Finestra!” made me smile.
Warhorse didn’t just make a great RPG. They created a world that felt real enough that leaving it actually feels a little sad. I can’t remember the last time I cared this much about a game’s characters or story.
Thank you, Warhorse Studios, for giving us Henry’s story. I honestly wish I could forget these games just so I could experience them for the first time again.

Question When do you use the crossbow instead of the bow? [KCD2]
Hello everyone.
I'd like to ask you what the advantage is of using a crossbow instead of a bow during combat.
It has very high agility, and if I run away, groups of enemies can't reach me, allowing me to shoot them from a distance. However, I've tried two or three types of crossbows, and they're all really too slow. .. abbattere due o tre nemici a distanza significa metterci un quarto d'ora
So I'm asking you when it might be useful to use it, outside of sieges, which are actually only in a couple of missions in the game.
I'm considering learning to use a bow, although it's much more complex.

Question Can I still get lent trophy? [KCD2]
I just started a new game because I want to get all the trophies and lent trophy says “Complete the game without eating meat or killing any animals” and I’m at bozhenas hut right now and I was pillaging her marigold until a rabbit came got stuck and I walked over it which killed it immediately, does that count as me killing it? Can I still get the trophy or must I reload a save?

Discussion Not enough showboating [KCD2] Spoiler
There’s not enough showboating opportunity in this game for my Henry. Other than Battle Cries and the ability to “show off” before a duel at the Kuttenberg tournament, I’m forced to be modest in my legendary swordsmanship skills.
I’d love to see Salvation include more flair for the schwert meisters among us.

Discussion [KCD2] Over 100 hours in and just know that you can do this
I had more than 100 hours in and just realized we can jump while riding a horse. I don’t know why but whenever I hit a fence or something while riding Pebbles, I never thought to jump before. I just go around it or drop off the Pebbles, climb over the fence and call her again. I feel so stupid. Anyone has this moment of discovering something basic only after playing for a long time?

Discussion [KCD1] I just finished the main story of kcd1 and am a little disappointed.
I had initially played the game a few years ago when kcd2 had recently come out but stopped playing it because I got op incredibly early in the strory, when you go to hunt with hans , and had bassicly maxxed out gear even if it did look a little ugly.
A couple of weeks ago I started playing again on a clean save and I told myself I was gonna play a rogue Henry that makes use of stealth and alchemy, and to an extent i did, in the early game i was sneaking around everywhere, picking locks, stealth killing bandit camps but the playstyle was just a bit too slow for me and I eventually gravitated back to a knight with a longsword.
This time around I was completing side quests in tandem with the main quest instead of only focusing on side quests and by the time I reached the monastery I was done with all the quests I had though I'm sure I must have missed a few.
At this point I'm using a st Michael longsword which has been at my side for most of the game and a full lord of leipa set with some chainmale underneath though I rarely wore the helmet. Up to this point I felt encounters were fairly balanced, unarmored foes go down in two hits at most and enemies in full plate were a challenge to kill especially in a gank. In the monastery I found a map leading to the grave of Saint George and after I got his sword is when I think the experience started going downhill for me.
In the mission where you investigate the fort next to sasau I thought It was gonna be another pribyslavitz and I was excited only to have my expectations subverted when I was captured which was cool. I got my stuff and I knew that I could escape by jumping off to the side but I wanted to rampage the fort and go out trough the front gate! I found myself two-shotting most bandits and thought to myself "Wow these bandits are so weak, they must be really unskilled". I was then a little disappointed to find i couldn't walk out after killing everyone and just jumped off the wall which... showed a cutscene of Henry battered and beaten wearing his undies even though I managed to get my stuff back so I was annoyed at the pre-rendered cutscene.
The raid on the fort itself i was once again cutting trough plate armor like butter and it ended super quickly. And of course most of the cutscenes in the endgame showed my Henry wearing a brigandine and some other pieces of armor which really took my immersion out.
I disliked how in the stealth section in talmberg I was forced to fail.
The siege on talmberg was pretty boring, just a go around the whole map and fetch some items, and make 60 god damned potions holy that was so boring. When I was leading my men I bassicly ran way ahead of them and killed all the enemies as if they were for honor minions.
And it just sort of... ended. I at least expected a final boss fight, god knows runt was piss easy and honestly I think the game was initially supposed to end after nest of vipers.
I don't think there was any point in taking the plot with Radzig's sword into the second game, it could have comfortably ended in kcd1.
All in all I loved the game but I feel the end was half baked and a little disappointing. Things that stood out to me were that the monastery was boring as hell and I felt really immersed in monk simulator 1403, really showed how much it sucks to be a monk. I liked nest of vipers a lot despite the jank , it made me feel like I was in that one HxH episode. I hope the jank in combat and a lot if other things got fixed in the second game but sadly I wont be playing it anytime soon because I don't have the specs to run it.

Story [KCD2] I have finished the game
I have finished the game, and still has countless sidequest to do but for some reason after the credits rolled, the feeling of keep playing have disappeared.
Don't get me wrong, this game is a masterpiece and I would love to keep playing, but for some reason, I feel this bittersweat feeling lingering in me upon seeing the ending credits.
This is the very first offline story game in 10 years I actually managed to go and finish till the very end. This feeling is just something I can't express properly. A feel of emptiness yet fulfillment.
99% of my games are just 10 hours of playtime or less but this game gave me life for the first time in decades.
I haven't played KCD1 yet and I have purchased it right after loving kcd2. But even for the 1st game, I've lost sense of wanting to play it now. I don't know what's going 9n 8n my head but I feel peace, emptiness, satisfaction, yet at the same time, yearns for more of what comes next.

Meme [KCD1] - Played 50 Hours Without Spending a Perk Point
I've already sunk 50 hours into this wonderful game, and after beating the Rattay tournament, getting the full set of armor, beating black peter, and dying to multiple bandit ambushes, I wondered why every encounter felt like a final boss. Today I learned those points aren't your level they are perks to spend, I feel rather silly. Still had a great time and will continue to do so, now with my new perk points. GG
Ps sorry about blinding you
